Pictures are very deceiving, shower was moldy as well as bathroom vent, there was hair in the sink, and while smoking outside the security lady kept driving around us like we were doing something wrong.I also accidentally left a bag there with my laptop and school book in there, to which I called to have them mail back to me and in turn they were incredibly rude to me when I called to check on it after they failed to mail it to me for a whole day when they said they would mail it first thing the next morning. Not cool to play with peoples stuff! Do not stay here under any circumstance. Not a good experience whatsoever!Not to mention there was a man with missing/green teeth in the room next to me that kept coming in and out all night and his door was incredibly squeaky & kept waking me up and a man yelling for his kids outside at 11pm. If you want somewhere peaceful & clean just pick somewhere else. Paid $100!

The bathtub had mold spots, the bathroom air vent did not have a switch for it so it too was moldy, and there was unknown hair on the sink. Definitely not what I expected to get for the price and I wouldnt come back based on that alone.

Beds are really comfortable. One of the best A/C units in a motel room that I have had this year. They have an indoor pool and a bar here with limited service, Thursday-Saturday.

The room wasnt too bad but one of the beds was covered with little black specks. The bathtub would not drain while taking a shower and the faucets leaked the whole time they were on. The pool had dead bugs all over in the water and small pieces of trash floating around in the water. The breakfast was also pretty horrible. The eggs were mostly good for scrambled eggs, the yogurt, sausage, and the apple juice were about the only things worth eating/drinking. The biscuits were mostly inedible because they were rubbery and couldnt even cut them up with the plastic knife. The orange juice had a chemical taste to it. Even the coffee was hard to drink and not hot. I expected a lot better for over 100.00 dollars a night weve stayed in cheaper hotels and had better experiences.

Older hotel with rooms that are less than decent. Wall plugs and light fixtures don’t work, housekeeping is way below average. Overall, go somewhere else

The upkeep could have been better. The sauna and pool were good except the hot tub has the grab pool cutting off most of the right steps which is an easy trip hazard. When you think there is a step and its barely wide enough for one foot. If I were the owner I would block the right side off. To avoid any law suits.

For a crack house its fabulous. Dont stay here the place should be condemned.

Its a nice, well-kept hotel. When you walk it its definitely a bit dated, but its well-kept and the staff is extremely nice.

Very relaxing stay, enjoyed the jacuzzi and special thanks to the room service cleaning lady who took care of us and also gave good suggestions to enjoy places around the city. Great conversationist!

The room was not clean, there was a wasp in our room, the light in the restroom kept flickering to the point of my husband unscrewing the bulb to prevent a possible fire. The ice bucket had a crack in the bottom and overnight it leaked water on my vera wang purse. The breakfast was horrible. This was a last minute decision to stay there. Bad decision. I spoke with the front desk upon leaving and was reimbursed $20 off of the room total. The room was $110 for one night.

This hotel is exactly matter then I expected.. The hotel is dated, but extremely clean. Certain areas of the hotel are temporary closed due from Covid. There is a fridge and microwaves in most rooms. Staff are friendly and available 24hours/7days a week. An indoor pool area is available and Jacuzzi.. The is a bar with a lounge open on select days

Nice enough place with a indoor pool and truck parking. Walking distance to Walmart and plenty of food options.

Overall nice place. Wish they had more vending options. No drinks and no meds. Had to door dash migraine meds at 2am when most hotels have at least tylenol available for purchase. Other than the lack of reasonable vending it was nice. Clean rooms, nice pool area and plenty of parking for our massive truck and trailer we were hauling this weekend.

Our kids love this place the staff is great and they have a great pool and hot tub lots of chlorinated water and so much fun we feel safe and secure every time we visit the Lamplighter North and the kids and grown ups all have a great time too. Thanks again for all the work you do keeping us safe.

It was an ok place. This is more like a motel than a hotel. The place is old. They have an indoor pool and jacuzzi. Elevator looks like is from the projects. The receptionist were nice and professional.

Room was poorly cleaned, smells of cigarettes even tho it says no smoking. Bed is horrible, tubs tile had mold in grout. Worker wouldnt answer phone prior to us getting there was put on hold, he was just sitting there.

Older hotel. Great pool and bar areas. Staff was amazing.

The rooms have bed bugs, no one wears a mask, pool doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in years, clerks don’t wear masks, everything is DIRTY. Check out this picture of the remote I cleaned. If you want to catch Covid this is a good spot. If you’re staying here for Prime good luck.

Half the time the key for the door didnt even work. I had to go every day at the lobby for help to open the door.

Great place. Close to restaurants and shopping. Cracker Barrel is within 200 ft of hotel and so is Steak and Shake. Indoor pool and Bobtail parking for semi trucks.

I have always stayed at this hotel when in need of a place. Very few times I have stayed elsewhere. Its a home away from home or an awesome spot to get some much needed rest and relaxation. The indoor pool is awesome and so is the jacuzzi. Its family friendly and they let me park my motorcycle right in front of my door when I commute here with it. Huge wins all around. The rooms are also kept clean with things that are not broken. I would add pens and notepads, if I was the owner, but thats just me. :)

Rooms were not bad. Quiet area and easy to access location. The lounge was nice. Laid back atmosphere with music and a good variety of drinks. Bartender was great at keeping every thing up to par.

The room was nice but dirty. I found sunflower seeds and trash. The blanket we used for 2 days had a big bloody spot on it. I noticed when I changed the bedding. You have a nice place but the maids need to step it up. Thank you.

They are doing a lot of remodeling. From what I saw... was progress. The staff was very curious and helpful and made my day giving me good directions to Wal-Mart.

Exterior room plumbing drains slow and the rooms need remodel.

If I can give this hotel a -5 I would. Random strangers knocking on connecting doors at 1am and roaming the area. Leaving their doors open with all the lights on.

Multiple roaches was found in the room and when I said something she asked if I wanted moved to second floor like there was no surprise I checked out and didn’t receive a refund for the night! Very out of date the only reason it gets 1 star is because the pool wasn’t disgusting! Will not stay ever again!

Run down and ragged around the edges. They pat you down when you check in. If you dont have a knife they give you one!

Good place to stay really nice good pool and hot tub

I needed a place to visit my dad in the hospital and we came down for two nights. When I checked in I was asked if I wanted the dog floor or non dog floor and I really needed to get some sleep so I said the non dog floor. Well the entire time we were there we were right across from two dogs that barked at everything that walked by. The room was clean and it was normal. The room I booked was supposed to be a Deluxe Queen Room and it stated the room size was about double the other rooms I looked at online but it was the size of a normal hotel room. The pictures online showed a great breakfast area and promoted full hot breakfast but it was the normal biscuits, gravy and eggs and the other cold items. Juice machine was out or broken while we were there. Because of how we booked and did not know if we were going to stay two nights, we booked 2 different nights. I told them that up front and they said No problem just Check out and back in in the morning. which I did but when we came back to our room that night our keys did not work and the housekeeping had not came by at all. With all of that said, it was worth the price I paid and I would stay there again but I appreciate when people market their property correctly. I would suggest it for the right price but just know what you are getting into.

Staff is courteous and respectful. Especially Christina. Her and the other housekeepers were very kind. Hard working staff there. Front desk service was especially helpful. Thank you Leticia and her staff.

I had to walk outside(cold) to get to pool, was close to grass for dog, had to kick door to open because they would stick, beside that good place.

Good place to stay for low rates. We stayed there while our kids attended college in Springfield. No frills free breakfast, but good. We liked the indoor pool & hot tub. Easy to get to off the highway. Gave college visit family rates. Accepts pets

Not sure if they knew what a vacuum cleaner or mop was. There was no toilet paper provided so we had to use kleenex to wipe ourselves until the next day. We all took showers in a bathtub with standing water where we were told on our second day it would be taken care of, but wasnt until I complained about it again on the third dayHow do you rent a room to a family like that?To top it off, everyone else was rude or standoffish. The lady Heather wasnt polite until after they sent the repairman to finally drain the tub so my family could bathe in something resembling a 1st world condition; perhaps the gravity of the health code violation finally sunk in at that point?Plenty of competition in the area; take your chances with them instead.

Not that good. Bed is good, very soft. Pool has bugs. Food is pretty good but the orange juice and apple juice are in different places. Theres not much light even with both lamps and bathroom light on. I recommend it, you can easy walk to stake in shake.

We had to sit and wait for an hour past check in time because they were short-staffed. However, they did give us a late check-out to make up for it. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. No problems getting pretty much any food you would want delivered. Nice pool and hot tub. One suggestion I would make is to have a few hours designated for adults only. Very hard to relax with tons of kids running around. Will be back in the future.

I was told by the staff that this used to be a Ramada Inn but was bought out by the present owners. They now have 4 properties in different locations. The hotel has a nice design including a bar. Room was clean and comfortable. Naturally older hotels always look like they need a facelift but this one will do the job for you. Fairly easy walk to eating and not a bad breakfast.

Ive stayed here a few times. Its not the Waldorf however its always clean and quiet. Its a little dated cosmetically on the inside (some of the fixtures are groovy)but its still a great place to stay. Bonus, They have laundry facilities.

Great customer service, clean rooms and a great breakfast. Staff was very professional and very friendly, we stay there Everytime we come to Springfield area. My son (12) loved swimming in the pool, while the wife and I enjoyed the hot tub. Bed was very comfortable (coming from someone who normally sleeps in a recliner), slept good all 3 nights we were there. I would tell anyone that has kids and wants a friendly, clean and comfortable place to stay to stay here.

After collecting From me on my second nite The manager (rude as she is) made my fiance and I leave The premise because she said my fiance wadi screaming in The morning. uhhhh No. HBO was turned up but no fighting. Anyhow we gladly left and she was evil eyeing us The whole way out....

Room is ok however we paid for a room with a king bed and my wife and I are fairly certain its lucky if the bed is actually a full size bed not a big deal to me but if you say king it should be a king bed.....

Nice place to stay. Rooms were very clean, cool and quiet. The front desk staff was either great or terrible. I had a very helpful and nice guy to help us however there is a woman that works the desk that is the complete opposite. She was talking to other guests terrible.

I saw reviews and thought it would be ok. Oh no. Room smelled, did not have a lock, and was dirty. I will say staff was good and helped me with refund.

This was an excellent place to stay. Bed was little hard but not too much where i couldnt sleep i was just used top a really soft pillow top. The front desk was very nice and helpful. I wont stay anywhere else when i come to Springfield.

Went here during the Covid epidemic. Room was clean and smelled of disinfectant. Staff took great pains to make sure everything was sanitary.The pool was great, the rooms were comfey, there was an exercise room and bar in house, a great stay at a wonderful little place

Nice place, old but well kept. The breakfast was a full one with sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy... Pretty good. It is also within walking distance of a few restaurants. Easy on/off access to the interstate too.

Comfortable spacious rooms. The other guests were loud but that has nothing to do with hotel. Its very nice and in a great location.

Great place for the price. But keep the cheap prices in mind some areas of this hotel are shady ! Be aware of your surroundings! They first tried to put us in a room in one of those shady areas, I refused it. They kindly moved me to the middle building Much Better felt much safer there! Not the worst neighborhood but not the best either. Nice bar and entertainment . Hot tub didnt work !

Ive learned its the small things that make a stay enjoyable. Yes the room was roomy. Yes it was handicap accessible. Yes they provided a decent breakfast. That should be enough. However...we booked two rooms. One bed needed fresh sheets because dark hairs were found in the bed and I dont mean on top. We were given the sheets to change ourselves. No apologies, no offer to change rooms or discount offered.The sink took to long to drain. When I say its the little things that may a stay pleasant how about a bar of soap that doesnt dry your skin out. How about toilet paper that isnt so thin it falls apart in your hand.The good just doesnt out weigh the bad in this visit.

Patience at the front desk was very polite and very helpful. She went out of her way to let me know some amenities that made my stay extremely more helpful to me such as the fact that I could wash my cloths. I really needed that done before I flew home today.

The room was dirty, garbage left over from previous guests. The bathroom was pretty cramped. The pool had hair and floaties in it, and my kids were disgusted as much as I was. I would not stay here again, due to these discrepancies.

I just want to say I really appreciated Chris and Patience for the great customer service at the front desk. The room was lovely. Beds were comfortable and I liked full length mirror. The shower bath combo need improvement. The water didnt drain and the hot water was hard to control. All though there was constant hot water and good pressure. On my second night I came into a warm room and clean linens. Truly a hidden gem. Much better than the lamplighter on sunshine. Plus they have a bar and an indoor pool. The lounge/breakfast area was spacious and very chic with two TVs. Would definitely recommend.

They said the beds were queens they were fulls and there was no breakfast also there weren’t any coffee grounds and they blamed us for their wrongs and when we brought up the problems they blamed it on us

Please look for another place to stay, this place is really dirty and have a really poor service, really poor service!!! They never show up to clean our room for 3 days!!!!

The beds were comfy and had 3 pillows. The air conditioner vents were filthy and even without them and with a fan going the room was too warm. The pool was comfortable, but was chlorinated when it was advertised as saltwater in a travel guide. The same travel guide had a coupon that the hotel refused to honor because they only had a few rooms left. The breakfast was nice, although the gravy was undercooked. The tub/shower combo was small amd I repeatedly hit my shoulder on the handle. There was what looked like paint chips behind the night stand. They made us put down a $100 cash deposit because we wanted.to pay with cash. This has never happened.in my years of going to different motels and hotels.

I have paid a lot more for a room not as nice as these. Rooms are clean. Prices very reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pet friendly. I am normally uneasy in motel rooms. Here I feel very comfortable.

Had some bugs in our room. Coffee pot was dirty when brewing. Toilet was not working properly. Shower went way too hot really quick. Rooms were dark even with the lights and opened curtains. Also the door to the bathroom is supposed to be at least 2 feet away from the toilet as per building requirements but it is a cheaper one so I get that all of the things I mentioned arent exactly easy to deal with but Im also giving the rating based on other similar hotels by pricing and location. It still was decent and it was most likely just a bad experience but if we do come again Ill change the rating.

The Lamplighter in Springfield is always a good place in my opinion. While its not the Hilton by a long shot, for an affordable rate you get far more than most hotels are willing to even think about offering.There are both Smoking, and Non-Smoking suites, there is access to a pool and usually a very concerned and helpful staff. Anytime I have ever had an issue, its been solved in minutes and I was even upgraded a few times when there was nothing at the level I had paid for availalable! Affordable, privacy, nice rooms and good staff for under 75 dollars a night.It should say something that I have joined their reward program.

Nicer than it looks. The rooms are updated, but not the bathrooms. However everything is in good order. There was no road/traffic noise, but the walls are a little thin so you can hear other TVs and doors closing. The breakfast was good. The price was very fair and would recommend this place for any overnight stay.

This was a satisfactory visit. All the essentials were provided. The pool was pleasant and the hot tube was a selling point. A few updates couldnt hurt but I am truly happy with my stay. The rooms seemed clean and the breakfast was very satisfying.

Good place and location for the price, I guess. Went there during Covid-19 scare was probably why so cheap. Don’t put your money in any of the vending machines and I recommend breakfast, lunch or dinner at another establishment. The wing spot across the street it the 💣 bomb!!
