My girlfriend and I are driving from Chicago to California and last night our A/C stopped working. We stayed in Springfield last night and then looked for some auto repair places and were recommended to come here from another store. They were able to accommodate us, even though they were fully booked. When we arrived, it was about 20 minutes before they took the car in. They quickly found the issue and were able to replace the blower Motor and resister. The price was also very reasonable. The service was phenomenal and James and the mechanic were super friendly. We can’t thank them enough for quickly fixing the issue so we can continue our drive with the A/C fully functioning. If you are in the area, we highly recommend for you to come and see them!

Great customer service, knowledgeable technicians, and the owner is a man of utmost integrity. If I need an oil change or a major repair, this is the only shop in town I feel like I can trust 100% without worry of being upselled, or over charged on parts or labor. James Automotive is the best repair shop I’ve ever done business with. They greet you by name, very punctual, they know their stuff! They don’t try to upsell you with things your car does not need! They were able to complete a full replacement of my a/c system, and perform a safety inspection within 2 business days! All the employees were friendly and helpful. I had an intermittent air conditioning problem and it happened to be working the day I took it in for repair. The owner was kind and honest and fixed my air. I would recommend taking your vehicle here if you need a repair.

I am usually pretty skeptical of mechanics, but this place is fantastic. Since having my AC compressor replaced I have had a very slow leak of refrigerant, which meant recharging the AC every year. They found a bad O ring which was likely the source. I couldnt be more happy. They also replaced a wheel hub with a loud bearing and my driving experience has drastically improved. Ill be taking my vehicle here for regular maintenance in the future.

We have taken our 2008 Tahoe to James Automotive a handful of times now and have never left unsatisfied. James is easy to work with, fair on pricing, and focuses on positive customer interaction instead of trying to make an extra buck. As a woman, I have often left automotive shops wondering if I was just taken advantage of (usually finding out that I was). That has NOT been my experience with James. If you get work done by him and it doesnt work right, he will make it right. He has earned our business as long as we live in this area.
