Very good. They are just expensive. However, you get what you pay for definitely! I had to wait for several days to get them to come because my problem wasn’t as big as others. Ended up with a new AC & Heater. I guess I am important too. I had to take cold showers though until they could finally make it. Took one star away because of that . They could have sent SOMEONE to see if my problem was indeed a big one or not. I ended up spending over 10k.

My new furnace, installed by Mike Williams in 2019, suddenly quit working. Bruce came within 24 hours and spent significant time diagnosing the problem and explaining to us. He also assured us he would follow through by speaking with the previous service associate who like caused or contributed to the loosening of front panel screws, which resulted in the safety power switch being disengaged. Bruce also indicated he planned to contact the furnace manufacturer to see if there is a better way to secure the front panel. I couldnt ask for more thorough or professional service.

I have never in my life written a bad review about a company, because I believe in giving a company the benefit of the doubt, but I honestly cannot believe the nerve of this company.My husband signed up almost 6 years ago to pay a monthly fee of 20.00 in exchange for getting heating/cooling/plumbing maintenance checks. We used the service two times, but not enough times to make it worth paying a monthly payment, which we still did every month for 6 years.We used the service a month ago, they came and checked everything and said everything was fine. A. few days later, our furnace stopped working completely. I asked them to come check to see if it was something they did to it, and they told me it would be $200 to even check to see if the problem was caused by them (if they decided it was, I wouldnt have to pay the $200). So I would have to gamble dropping $200 for them to tell me they did not cause a problem?After paying twenty dollars a month for nothing for almost six years.I decided against even having them check and went with a different company. I told them I immediately wanted my subscription cancelled. This was on 10/5, she said I would have to send in a letter stating that I wanted to cancel before 10/10 in order to not be charged ON 10/15! -- I thought this was ridiculous and told them so in my letter that I sent in and that they received before 10/10. Today is 10/15 and I WAS STILL CHARGED the monthly fee. I called to complain today, and she told me that the person who checks the mail is not in today?! She also stated she would refund my money, but that she would have to send me a letter saying that I wanted a refund and I would have to sign it and send it back?! They clearly werent happy with the letter I sent complaining and decided to charge me another month in spite.I relayed this story to both heating companies that I had come out for an estimate, they both laughed in my face, stating its a known fact that Mike Williams steals money from everyone.Its no surprise they have their facebook reviews turned off. Also check out all the former employees reviews on indeed.com and how it was company policy to scam people.Mike Williams, it probably would have been good business practice to just cancelled my subscription instead of trying to take money from me another month, because I would have not written this review on every website that I could find.

Our house is almost a century old, and this is the third time Ryan and Dave have had to replace sections of the old iron and lead pipes. It is hot and difficult work, where just making a single cut on these big pipes can ruin the best saw blade. They do a thorough examination before making recommendations and estimates, and so the work always goes exactly to plan. Efficient as can be, even extending to the clean-up at the end. First rate work.

Both of my service techs, Dane for the furnace maintenance and Layke for the plumbing/leak repair were outstanding. Friendly, prompt, and efficient. Excellent experience all-around!!Update: Used Mike Williams for my annual AC check. They identified a problem and repaired it on the spot. Greg was as friendly and efficient as the others.

Just want to let you know how unprofessional it is to not keep an appointment. I get no call saying a tech is running late, I call and put on hold for a half hr and hang up because I’m tired of waiting. Finally get called back and told I have to wait till Monday or pay double for a visit on Saturday.

This place is a rip off that has a 100% massive mark up on parts. They just charged me $600.00 to install a $60.00 part.The guy was prompt and professional, but do not use their service unless you desperately need someone.

The man who came to our house was great!But I was slightly frustrated with the company.I called every early in the morning on a Friday, the scheduler said I could be put on todays schedule. That an email would be sent to me of who was coming.I never received an email so I wasnt sure if someone was coming or not.Its nearing the end of the work day on a Friday and I went Into a slight panic because trying to find another plumber so late in the day on a Friday was nearly impossible. Finally got a call that he was on his way.They said 15-45 minutes before he got there Id get a call.It did take close to 40 minutes.He was Wonderful when he got here.Very pleasant and nice.I think for charging $69 just to come out and tell you what is wrong, this company could have been more clear on an approximate time. Or gave some updates.

Dont waste your time. Waited through the 4-hour appointment window with no call, no show. Got a call much later to reschedule. Not impressed.

He explained the projects and costs to me about my projects that I wanted done. Fixed a bad capacitor on my heat pump. Technician was excellent - very professional and friendly, a nice young man. Service was very fast, within a few hours of my call the unit was fixed. Not cheap, but very good service.

We needed a new water heater and I called this company. They sent RYAN the first day I was available to talk about what I needed. We agreed on a unit that fit my needs. As it was late, we agreed for him to return the next day on my schedule. RYAN is a licensed plumber and did the work himself. I was amazed at how easy he made the job look. He finished the job on schedule, did a great job & cleaned up the area before he left. He was a nice, clean cut guy. Very professional! I will ask for his help with my next plumbing task.

Layke was very well mannered and explained everything he was going to do in order to find the reason our home’s sewer drains were backing up. Layke also took the time to acknowledge and pet our dog and watch that he did not get outside the fence on our deck.

Quoted me 14000$ for a furnace and a/c install. Nothing special on the install. Furnace is in the garage with no obstacles. A/c unit is just outside the garage. I had 7 companies quote the job and all came back back with 4700$-5300$ These people are crooked. I can’t imagine someone taking that bait. I don’t know how the sales guy can quote that with a straight face. I seriously laughed at him and told him to leave. on a more serious note, don’t wast your time.

Mike Williams is a very professional business and any repair person I have used has always been outstanding. I felt comfortable having them in my place. They go the extra mile to explain in detail what is happening and even check on extra things to be sure.

We were having issues getting our boiler heater started. When I called in they werent sure if it would be the same day or next day that they could get us in. They got us in that same day, while Greg was here he got the boiler started as well as did its yearly check and fixed an issue that kept it running on full blast all the time. Were grateful he was able to come out and get things running for us.This is the 3rd time weve used them (for 3 different projects), but each time has been as good as it can be when you need something fixed. Yes, they can be a little more expensive but Id prefer to pay that extra for experienced techs who know what theyre doing, are timely, and do great work!

I know a lot of people don’t like dealing with this company because they have jacked up prices. That is true. They are pricey it’s true, but they came through during an emergency situation when others wouldn’t. I also want to give props to Terry who was very helpful, friendly and professional.

STAY AWAY AND CALL SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!! Paid $69 dollars for a technician to quote me $1800 to replace a tub drain. The technician was A+, but you would think I was shopping for a new tub at that price estimate. I would rename this company SCAM WILLIAMS. What a joke!

Layke Lane came to my house for a water heater issue. Took the time to explain my issue and even demonstrated it for me. He offered me several options and let me decide, no pressure. Once I selected the option he made a repair and was on his way. This was my first experience using Mike Williams services and they made a good impression.

He also saved me money by not swapping out our current faucet, since it was a more expensive unit and only needed a new sprayer. He answered every question without hesitation. Ryan was awesome and courteous. That said, Mike Williams Plumbing, not Ryan, tried to charge me $510 to replace a $30 pressure switch on my furnace. I found someone else to replace it for $125 within an hour of Ryans departure. I will never call Mike Williams again. Additionally, there was a $70 trip charge. If I wouldve had them out last night, it wouldve been $189. No wonder Mike Williams has such great customer service over the phone. THEY ARE GIVING YOU THE BENEFIT OF A REACH AROUND!

Greg is awesome. He is not pushy about anything. He is understanding of our needs and works with us to explain what he finds. I needed an updated thermostat. Before I could point that out, Greg asked if I wanted to keep what I had or would like to change. He also went the extra mile to adjust dampers for an airflow issue we had. Greg knows his business. Oh yeah. He put me on the right path to get a central vacuum unit for my home. Not his area, but his knowledge helped me.

Our sump pump failed over a weekend when we weren’t home. We called Mike Williams on a Sunday afternoon and they were able to dispatch someone within 2 hours since the repairman was already on another repair 45 mins away.Lamar was great! Beware courtesy inspections. Make sure your HVAC works after they leave. On TWO occasions they did an inspection and both times they broke a working system. 1) Summer 2019 - they claimed our NEST thermostat did not have power (failing to understand C-Wire/Power Stealing Feature of NEST). They changed wiring without our consent and broke our A/C after inspection. They reverted the change after we tested A/C and found it immediately broken. 2) December 2019. Claimed faulty furnace logic board AND disconnected the furnace inducer. We said no to a repair, as furnace WAS working. Sure enough -- no heat! Thankfully, we figured out how to reconnect the inducer to have heat during the night. These kinds of actions when intentional are CRIMINAL.

Mike Williams plumber came to fix a minor plumbing issue in a hard to reach area. Even though he had to go through the wall to get to it, he hid it behind the oven so no one would see the access panel. He found less than adequate plumbing done by the previous owner and found a way to fix the problem within my budget. He was also personable, professional and because it was during the quarantine he was also wearing gloves and a mask the whole time.

Sam did an awesome job! So appreciated that he was able to come on same day I called. The problem I called about was an easy fix and it turned out I had an unexpected issue with my sump while he was there. He was on it and got a new one put in no time. Really appreciated the prompt, excellent work.

Curtis Was my technician. He was knowledgeable and explained everything thing to me.I’ve heard so many negative issues about this company. They came out to my residence the same day that my air started to not work.Freon was needed to recharge the central air. The E.P.A. has placed regulations on the Freon to stop production by year 2020. Because of that issue, Freon has increased.They got in and fixed what was wrong, and didn’t rip me off when they came out for the furnace inspection. Thank you for being patient and explaining issues to me, as I was skeptical because of all the negative things I heard.Curtis was great! We even found out what year my hot water heater was! Save your money! Inflated prices and terrible customer service. Everything was great until I tried to cancel one of the many service contracts they hound you to sign up for all of the time. I called to cancel and was told I had to send a letter. Then they said they would wait two more weeks before they actually cancelled the service. Anything to make a buck. They wanted to be able to bill me for one more month before I cancelled even though I have already paid a ton for their services and contracts. At inspections, the service technicians ALWAYS find something they can charge you to do. Go somewhere else and keep all of the extra money you will save to go out and do something fun.

First off, I would recommend this company to all residents that live in or around Bloomington/Normal! I don’t have enough space to write all the great things about this company! Bruce our technician is always on time, very professional, friendly, and always goes above and beyond to give our family the peace of mind that our A/C, Sump Pump, Furnace, etc are all up and running. We moved here 5 years ago and my dad used to be our handyman and check up on things in our old house in the Quad Cities. I highly recommend the services provided by Mike Williams. An unexpected pipe break forced me to turn off my water main. Josh arrived quickly. He was a model of professionalism, very polite and knowledgable. I am impressed by the quick response, up front pricing, and extremely satisfied with the final result.

This company attempted to take advantage of my family. The inspector used a scare tactic and condemned my furnace. They quoted me inflated prices to replace it so I looked for a few more quotes. I talked with four different local companies all of whom said Mike Williams actions are close to criminal. I have a furnace in good condition with safety features in place to keep my family safe. Mike Williams has smooth talkers and made me feel I could trust them. I placed a complaint with a representative from their company and was treated unprofessionally. My suggestion is to stay away from this company. If you do obtain their services make sure you get a second or third opinion.

The 4 stars are for Ron Hunt, the serviceman! He’s been to our home before and has always been friendly, courteous, and professional! We took off one star for the office staff. There are new people answering the phone and they are not as friendly and helpful as in the past. We used to get a few phone call updates during the day of service letting us know how much longer it would be before the service guy was coming, but not anymore. We have also paid for a yearly plan, but it doesn’t show up in the system each time we get serviced.

We are always pleased with Ryans work. He has provided the regular checks on our furnace, water heater, and AC unit. He recently replaced our water heater and repaired our AC unit. Ryan is honest, patient, careful, and considerate of our needs. He also has a great sense of humor!

I really like that Bruce was personable and honest. He listened to my concerns. He was respectful and didnt talk down to me.

Ryan did a great job, made an extra effort to get a replacement part to Jacksonville (with help from Josh) so he could finish everything in one day. Also very friendly and professional.

The technician that was sent to our home was so very helpful! Brad Y.offered us several options to solve our plumbing issue. He then resolved it in the MOST efficient manner. If the rest of his company is as knowledgeable as he was we will be very happy using them for all our plumbing, sewer etc needs.

Bruce Kimler was our HVAC technician. He was on time, polite, courteous, and checked our A/C unit and furnace. All checked out well. He noticed how clean the coils were on our unit. My roommate told him we check it every week and keep the fins as clean as we can. Twice during the cooling season we hose off the coils to make sure they are clean. I blow the coils with our leaf blower once a week after mowing the lawn. This way were getting the most efficiency out of our unit. If you take care of your equipment, it will give you a good long service life. Bruce noticed our unit takes the old coolant, which is getting hard to find and expensive. If and when the unit needs major service, you can bet we will call Mike Williams and have them install a new unit. But were good to go at the moment. All in all we were happy with our experience with Bruce!

Bill came to my house and listened to everything I said. He then started looking into possible problems. He replaced our thermostat and found problems that others hadn’t noticed. He got our ac working and set us up with an appointment to get our furnace replaced. He talked me through everything he was doing and was totally helpful!!
