What a phenomenal experience. The barbers work in individual booths; not in an open bay, which is very relaxing. Marion took care of every aspect of my visit as a matter of course, offered valuable advice and feedback in regards to what I asked for, and the straight razor shave was supremely relaxing.I just found my one and only barbershop, and my new permanent barber.

Barbershops are everywhere. But if you want that little extra care like in the days of old, consider this place. Its the guy equivalent of a spa day. Go and pamper yourself. Youve earned it.

I live in Cincinnati and have made the 45 minute commute twice. Well worth the trip! I went with Merion the first time and Ben the second. Both are excellent. I got all 3 services the first time and just the haircut and rolling cream facial the second time. If you have sensitive skin and a tough face to shave, make sure to explain this. there was quite a bit of stinging with the facial which was my fault. Really enjoyed 2nd visit with Ben

I have been seeing Marion for about 5 or 6 years now and will continue to do so. Marion is the only barber to truly give a flattop haircut in the Dayton area. I was seeing him when the shop was on North Woodman and moved with him when the shop went to Springboro. I was previously using a barber on base but he only spent about 5 or so minutes on a haircut. I have been going to this barber shop for about a year and a half I started using them because they were close but I keep coming back because of the quality service. I see Marion King but have also used Bob, Jarrett, and Daryl. If you want professional grooming at a great price, look know further. This review is a five star because I can’t give six.

I have been coming to see Marion for a couple years now. When the shop moved I came with. It’s by far the best barbershop I’d been to in many years. Marion is professional, interesting, and takes pride in his work. His professionalism and demeanor makes the 40 minute drive each way worth it. Definitely a very nice, old School barber shop like I was taken to as a boy 35 years ago. As long as this shop is open, I will go to it for my standard mens haircuts and beard trims. Bu the way, they do hot towel and straight razor stuff, again, Old School. Its a man barber shop to be clear as possible.

I saw Jarrett for a real haircut after years of buzzing my hair myself. Every so often Ill let it grow out a bit and try for a real cut with a little more length to it I had been to a lot of the national chains and a handful of local places in different cities over the past 15 years, but I never got a haircut that I actually liked from day 1. I always felt that I had to let it grow back in a bit before it looked decent. Or it was so bad I just buzzed it off again when I got home.Not anymore. Jarretts work is fantastic. The different lengths transition well into each other and it just looks right. Easily the best haircut Ive ever gotten.

Traditional barber shop offering old school service and care.

Have used this shop the entire summer. The past two experiences were a joke. Bob has left hair that I have to go home and cut every time around my ears and his shaves are worse then when I was 14 just learning. I have hair on the back of my head that’s triple the length of the rest since he missed it and couldn’t double check his work. I understand giving him a chance to make up for his work but 2 times in a row is just sad. I’ll be looking for another barber

I dont go to the barber shop to get letured on how I or my children should have their hair cut, have comments made like well, you must have low standards is totally uncalled for. This will be the LAST time that Marion will EVER cut our hair. He can keep his personal comments to himself - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

Great haircut, very competent staff, and nice layout. The barber did keep bringing up controversial political and race related topics that made things a little uncomfortable and awkward. But thats really my only complaint

I would not recommend this shop. Its a nice shop. Probably one of the nicest shops Ive been in, I liked the set up. But the the barber destroyed my beard. The line up was terrible. He cut it down way to short. He shaved my head with a straight razor, nicked me up all over, like he didnt know what he was doing. Im sure there are good barbers in that shop but the guy that I had wasnt one of them. Im a nice guy so I gave him a really good tip, my way of saying you could have had a good tipping client but you messed that up. He knew he did a horrible job on my beard.

I’ve been getting shaves for over 30 years, but received my best ever 2 days ago from Marion! He is wonderful! Impeccable manners, spotless and well organized work space, complete attention to detail, and pleasant and interesting conversationalist. His training and service as a Navy butler are evident in everything he does. The haircut and Rolling facial completed the package. They were top notch, too. I left looking AND feeling better than when I came in to Lennartz. Only negative thing I can say is that I live 11 hours away and will be unable to spoil myself again any time soon. But I would easily drive an hour for this level of service if I lived in the area.

Im a military member and was looking for a more complete haircut experience. I ended up with Marion by accident, and could not have been happier. Extremely thorough, attentive, and skilled. Excellent haircuts and shaves. Hes a tremendous barber and I always walked away with perfect hair. He was also great with my 2 year old son. I cannot recommend Marion or Lennartz more!

Ben needs to learn a little about customer service..scheduled on the web site and sat waiting for 25 minutes, with no acknowledgement that i was there and never came out and said hey i running a little behind or even acknowledged that i was there. When he finished with t he other customer he acted like no big deal, typical millennial. I said i was not happy with the wait and that i left work to get my hair cut., He said that he did not need the attitude and that maybe i should go back to work, Unbelievably rude. I hope with his other customers he has a little more respect, because he lost this one.and to think all he had to do was to come out and say something.

He is the most attentive barber I have ever visited and his attention to detail is uncanny. He also teaches you about each aspect of the haircut (if you are curious) so if you have to move, youll be able to describe the haircut to another barber with ease (and in terms the barber will understand).After my first haircut, Ive continued to go back 4 additional times and will be going again next month. I didnt have the best experience here. I was recommended this place by a friend and was told to book Ben. Ive been here on 3 or 4 separate occasions and each time I felt like what I was asking for was too much. It was a basic fade, and I even brought a picture in. The response I got was Thats going to take a while. He begrudgingly did the haircut but seemed like something was irritating him. The haircut was good, though, and so I told myself if this happened again that I wouldnt go back. And it did. While I was getting my haircut, the other barber was more than happy to come over and talk to me from his cubicle, and I was ignored by my own barber. What is going on here? I had previously tipped extremely well and was very polite. Very unprofessional.

Ive been coming to Lennartz for over two years now from a friends recommendation shortly after they opened. Ben is my usual barber, and he does great work. Hes fun to talk to and he remembered how I like my hair cut from the first time I worked with him. Ive been to many barbers and quick-service haircut places, and Lennartz has been the best experience by far. Unlike other reviewers, Ive not once in 2+ years felt ignored or like they were rushing through their work.The price for a haircut is $20, which might come as sticker shock if youre used to quick-service places that buzz your hair and call it good. For $20, I receive a haircut with attention to small details, a hair wash, a hot face towel, straight razor back-of-the-neck shave, and a neck massage. For the $5 cuts at quick-service places I get an uneven buzz-cut and a boot out the door.Lennartz is by far my favorite barbershop in the area, and they know how to take care of a customer. If you visit, I highly recommend you request Ben - hell take care of you!

My normal shop was closed for Memorial Day weekend and I needed a cut. Ive tried most of the other shops in Springboro with disappointing results. Not here. Ben was great. Normal barber has moved so we decided to give this place a try. Barber wasn’t patient to listen to direction and explanation to keep some length on the top. Started at the top with clippers and immediately took way too much off while I was still trying to give him direction. No way to recover from that rookie mistake. My normally patient son was so devastated he walked out completely ashamed. High school homecoming this week so no hopes to grow it out. Really disappointed that this guy had to rush through and run his own agenda. We won’t go back.

Walked in to fighting amongst owner/manager and two barbers. Shouldve been my first clue to turn around and walk out the door but I really needed a cut. Manager (I think his name was Bob) asked either of them if they had any time before their next appointments (as I was a walk in); they both said no but he turned to one of them, Wes, and said Wes, you can take him.I didnt want to step on any toes so I suggested to Wes that I come back some other time but he said No, were good. Explained what I want and he asked a bunch of questions like what do you do with the bangs and how do you wear it? Questions that definitely shouldve clued him in more on what I wanted.The cut itself was incredibly jerky and very painful. I felt like I was being treated like an annoying piece of meat. To be quite honest it was akin to physical abuse. At the end, he showed me the cut and I asked a question about the top, which was shorter than I had intended. He got offended and said you got exactly what you asked for and turned away. I then proceeded to tell him that I wasnt trying to tick him off, just to figure out the mistake I made. I also mentioned that I had noticed they were fighting when I walked in and that I should have known better. At some point during this exchange, the manager (Bob again) walked in, looked at me and the barber (presumably, on alarm at the sounds of discontent) and walked out, never to be seen again.My barber warmed up a little bit and then admitted that if they hadnt been fighting when I had walked in, he probably would have caught on to what I really wanted during pre-cut counseling. To me, this is basically an admission of I was pissed off at my boss so I took it out on the client. No apologies were made for the aggressive cutting.This was an altogether horrific experience. In my opinion, the manager is as much at fault as the barber.Will never go back and urge others to not make the same mistake of walking through the door.

Seriously the sweetest place I could have ever picked for my 90 year old Grandpa. Darryl answered my call yesterday got us an appt for today, Wes was the barber and his buddy helped during the transfer from car to wheel chair and back. Wes was patient and so kind to my grandfather. Having never gone to a barber I didn’t know what to expect, but this place is top notch! He received a cut, a shave and a facial and the patientlce Wes had for my sleepy grandpa who wasn’t the most cooperative was outstanding. They took care good care of my Gpa on his birthday, and on the way home, he said “that was the best neck treatment he has ever got!”Thank you all so much for making his day and being willing to help every step of the way!
