Thus us the first time my sons have been to a barber thats not my husband. They had a great time! All of there hair was verrry long, and they r 3 completely different textures, they did an amazing job! My youngest had the longest hair, and was nervous, but everyone made him feel comfortable.

This was my first time getting my haircut here but it won’t be my last. I walked in with no appointment and was able to get into a chair within minutes (I arrived in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday). The barber was very professional, personable, and took his time to get the fade just right. I got a bald fade buzz cut as well as a beard trim. I’m very happy with my experience. 5 out of 5 stars for sure. I’ll definitely be back.

By far the best customer service and hair cuts hands down! When walking in the door the staff is prompt to greet and take care of you. The shop is very clean and organized getting me in and out. 4 times I’ve come here and the service is terrible. Book an appointment and still wait half an hour. Ask for a barber and get someone else, while a walk in goes ahead with the person you had requested. 0 business skills or customer service. Standard of hair cut isn’t bad but in a real city this place would go out of business operating like amateurs

I have honestly never gone to an actual barber shop before, but as soon as I walked in the people we’re friendly and courteous, the costumer service was great. It’s honestly a really nice and clean place, and the cuts are amazing! If you’re trying to get a GOOD, CLEAN, CUT, by a PRO ask for Josh Lopez! The amount of detail he put into my hair cut was CRAZY! He took his time and made sure that everything was how I wanted it, to the very last detail. I would definitely recommend this place.

I’ve been coming here for a year now and have approached my haircut half a dozen different ways and he always delivers. He’s honest about his opinions if you genuinely want them and will direct you if you’re unsure in your judgments. As an added bonus he has recently began to do facials in addition to his shaves. I’m talking hot towels, exfoliation, and relaxing steam to the face. I left, and always leave, there beyond satisfied. Great guy, great place, and great prices.

Started coming to this barbershop in 2020, Josh is always professional and will cut your hair exactly as requested. Sometimes barbers will try to do things their own way, but Josh listens and is very precise. I don’t think I can ever go to another barber, his attention to detail is unmatched. Good day all. I must start by saying the owner is actually doing things correctly. Making appointments is the only way to survive in this business. I have lived in New York, Seattle, and Los Angeles, and this establishment is top notch professional. The owner takes a personal approach and is engaged with each client and their barber. If you take less than 30 seconds to make an appointment you will be extremely satisfied!!! I have moved to this area from Seattle rather recently and will make this my permanent place for a great quality cut and finish. The prices may SEEM a tiny bit high but going through the fast food line these days runs the same cost. There are few places you spend a little more for service and experience, you definitely get what you pay for and then some with the Refinery. I would recommend highly to make an appointment and see for yourself. Thank you too the staff and ownership of this much needed aestheticious oasis!

Described to Josh how I wanted my haircut. And he delivered. I had always seen the Barbershop, but never went in. I gave it a shot, and I was not disappointed. Observed the other Barbers there, it looks like they all know what they’re doing.

After being here twice, I am able to give these guys a great rating for their work. First time around, my son and I walked in without an appointment for a beard trim. Unsure who took care of my son but Mauricio took care of me. I was impressed by his eye for detail and effort to make sure that what I wanted was what he delivered.

Charly does a superb job! Met this amazing stylist while he was still attending barber school. Followed him all the way to The Refinery Barbershop which is a 25 - 30 minute drive for me. Outstanding customer service, patient and actually listens to what the customer envisions for their hair. The shop itself is very appealing, clean and everyone is welcoming. Way to go Charly, keep up the good work!

The service was very good, but I still had to do some additional touch up to my mustache when I got home. Their rates are a little bit on the higher end, probably because of the neighborhood where they are located. But overall I would grade them A minus. 92%

My sons hair tends to be very difficult to cut, because he has several cow licks. We came here and his barber, Josh, was super polite. He cut his hair so well, and made some helpful suggestions on how to keep his cowlicks tamed. Would recommend, and will definitely be returning for another cut!

Mauricio Guevara is an artist with hair. Im terrible when I get my hair cut because at BEST I have a general idea of kinda what I want. This man, filled in the gaps to make it look better than I thought I wanted. Excellent fade work, great beard trim and fun person to talk with too.

I came to this shop during the pandemic once it was legal of course. The place was very clean all the barbers had on mask and had mask to give the clients that didnt have any. It was my first time there and the barbers were very friendly and spoke and acknowledged me the moment I walked in. I got my haircut by a barber named Charly Lara and this guy was awesome. I never got such a great haircut before, I mean I truly left feeling like a millionaire. I will definitely visit this shop again. I will definitely remain a client of Charlys. Please if you live in the area and need a fresh cut go to this spot and ask for Charly.

Went in on a Saturday morning around 8:50. Make sure to make an appointment, because they only had one girl tending to walk-ins. All others tend to their appointments only.A guy named Mauricio apparently called in sick that day and no one bothered to tell his clients, so my haircut was interrupted by guys that kept complaining about their day being ruined and my stylist calling Mauricio to check on him. Apparently he has some hypochondriac anxiety according to her detailed account.Other than that the place is clean and after a 1.5 hour wait due to being a walk-in, my haircut was nice

Been going to the refinery for about 3 months now and my barber is Saul, couldn’t be happier with the result every time I go. I’m very picky with who I let cut my hair and after looking all over NW Houston I finally found somewhere I don’t have to worry about not getting what I was looking for. Good price too.

Second time in this place and last. Will not wait 30 minutes to give my money for what? They will steady lose new customers over this.. The shop is clean the two barbers that were there when we were there (4pm on a Thursday evening) were friendly and very helpful to each other and to potential clients that walked in and clients already seated.While we waited everyone I saw who got their haircut was extremely satisfied and two were returning customers. One noted that he would be back.I will be bringing my sons back as well.

Service doesnt match price. You pay for an upper-level experience but get Great Clips quality. Id be happy if I only paid 8 bucks but I expected a lot more for what I paid and left disappointed.

I messaged on google maps at 10:30pm, Nicole responded almost immediately and scheduled my appointment the next day with Saul, I did have to wait for 25 mins even though I had an appointment which was only a problem because I was on lunch from work but other than that Saul was great and took his time and I’m happy with my haircut. Immediately left the Boardroom off Louetta and came to the Refinery to fix my hair. I have never been here and Saul hooked me up with the Bald Fade that I thought I was getting at the Boardroom. The only downside was my 2:30 appointment didn’t actually happen until 4:00. The shop was very busy and only Nicole and Saul were available. Saul did a fantastic job — rather unexpected for my first time at the Refinery! Saul was very apologetic about the uncharacteristic delay, and actually refused my tip — which I insisted that he accept. Looking forward to my next appointment — but will probably not go on a Saturday.

Ive known Nicole since we were kids..but thats not the only reason why I go to her. Shes hands down the only person to cut my sons hair! I drive all the way from Galveston..that should say something! No one else does better.

Horrible, if you dont have an appointment dont bother walking in, I waited for 45 minutes whilea guy walked in late to hid appointmen. His barber was sitting down for 20 minutes....I could have gotten my hair cut within that time. If you know all your barbers are booked with appointments for the next hour or two let the walk ins know so you dont waste their time, 45 minutes wasted sitting in a chair, now I dont have time for a haircut tonight. Thanks.
