[Service, Timeliness, Technician] Chad is an outstanding tech and a great guy. We never have to worry when Chad is here, everything us done like it belongs to him. He takes great pride in his work and it shows.I would recommend this company to everyone.
Went through American Home Sheild who uses Sevier for A/C repairs. The repair people did not take precautions replacing a drain pan . Water leaked through my ceiling in several places. Owner/manager was extremely rude and lacked professionalism when discussing the issue. Do not use them! I have taken up the issue with AHS as well.
I am insured with American Home Shield and they sent them. They came twice and said they could not repair as AC was old and needed to change inside and outside unit. I would have to pay more than $5000 for the outside because AHS covered only the inside. After one month without AC waiting for American Home Shield authorization I called another company and they fixed everything for $160 in 1 hour, without need for parts. Draw your own conclusions.
I have used Sevier twice and they have fixed my issues quickly and extremely inexpensively and taken steps to make other small repairs at no additional cost to me. Other A/C companies had tried to sell me a whole new system for these same issues that only required a fuse replacement and lubricating my fan motors. There seem to be few honest companies out there, but Sevier is definitely an honest company that does fantastic work. I would use them again and recommend them to my friends. When my A/C system really does need to be replaced, I will be calling them to do it. Thank you so much!!
Contractor came ill prepared to change out my evaporator coil they dumped a bunch of water through my ceiling my kitchen. Was very hard to get a hold of to get any type of compensation to get repair work done his contractor was not gonna be able to do work anytime soon. Was able for them to work out a deal with my contractor. But now they’re not paying my general contractor for the work that he did. To repair the ceiling.
I will tell everyone right now that after experiencing air dynasty, sevier was incredible and serviced my problem within minutes. They did exactly what they were sent out to do. It was quite refreshing based on my experience with air dynasty. i also have ahs and i was concerned based on some of the reviews that i read that sevier was going to repeat what air dynasty had tried to do in replacing a draining system which would have cost me 1250 dollars and was going to cost ahs 300 dollars. What air dynasty really wanted to do was replace both systems in my house for an incredible amount of money. what they did not do was address my problem. i had a clog in my drain. sevier came out on a second opinion from ahs and immediately fixed the problem. Sevier came through like a champ and i really appreciate greg....i believe that was his name. thank you sevier....and im glad that i gave yall the benefit of the doubt because yall were amazing. i will only have good things to say about u.
Very happy with the service and work provided by Sevier. Was referred to them by my home warranty company AHS. Communication was good and issue was resolved within a matter of days would recommend to others.

Horrible Experience. Assigned through insurance Company American Home Shield. First, the technician tried to tell me the AC Demper wasnt covered under my plan which was false. After I talked to AHS, they scheduled an appointment to replace it but they missed two appointment, No Show, No Call.
No 24hr service as advertised. This service call would have a call back from 1 day ago service call. Made 3 phone calls the next day around 11am and left messages without a return call from them. They finally answered the phone around 5pm..Will not get another service call until Monday 8/2. Unacceptable service..
Professional service technician, Chad, courteous, knowledgeable, and on time appointment, will sign up for yearly maintenance agreement and definitely will recommend their service to my friends and neighbors.
American Home Shield sent this company out to repair our a/c unit that wasn’t coming on. The technician took a look at the unit and says our issue would not be covered under our home warranty agreement but they can still fix it as a customer pay situation. I decided to pass on the offer and called another company for a second opinion. The 2nd company comes out and fixes the unit for 1/2 the price. We also found out the issue wasn’t as the first AHS company diagnosed. What a rip-off Sevier is. Very disappointed that AHS is using this company.

This company was hired by our Home warranty insurance, American home shield. The first tech who came in had no idea about our heating system/ Carrier brand. He left saying we have to put in another work order as we have 2 heaters to work with, he will make order for parts and come back, on his second visit he spent couple of hrs in attic then came down and said something fishy is happening to ur heaters, I can not understand will send owner, Russell to fix it.after that our bedroom Cool air stopped working.. anyways Next day Mr Russell appeared and told me some strange mechanisms how heaters are not correctly implanted( although they were working fine for 13 yr so far) and he needs to replace one unit and has to call technical support at Carrier to get info on other one. He left and no reply for 3 wks, I called multiple times, no updates with worst customer service, I called insurance finally to check on it, then I got msg that 5k $ is needed to fix units and insurance will obviously not cover it. I requested insurance to send another company for second opinion as I had bad feelings about this company due to their weird behavior and I was right, guy from Douglas heating came in and fixed both heaters in 20min, apparently central gas line was off and he just turned that back on, Russel was asking for 5k$ for that.Very disappointed, highly nonprofessional..BE AWARE...
This company was assigned to a service request I made through my home warranty plan. The technician came to check the AC on a Tuesday, but did not submit a diagnostic report by the following Monday. It turns out that the technician did not know how to submit the report and no one in the office helped him to get it done either. I had to make multiple calls to the office, to the technician, and the home warranty company to get this resolved.The technician said the expansion valve needs to be replace. But to replace it, he needs to release all the freon in the system and recharge it with 18 pounds of freon after the repair. The freon alone would cost over $1200 because the home warranty plan covers only $10/pound and I need to pay $70/pound. Talking with other AC professionals, I learned that the freon in the system can be saved while the valve is replaced and freon does not cost $80/pound.
*update* The Tx Dept of Licensing has already responded back to me directly and started gathering info.* License #: TACLB36602EThis company was hired through my home warranty with American Home Shield. Russell Sevier, the company owner, came to my homeand diagnosed the AC problem I was having as a malfunctioning evaporator coil. Sevier said he would order the part and the companywould schedule a return visit to replace the coil. The company receptionist, Caitlin N., called me to schedule the repair appointment andsaid that they needed a credit card number on file to secure the appointment time. I gave Caitlin my credit card and scheduled theappointment for 11/25/20. The repair technicians never came during the first appointment, but did arrive several hours later that sameday. My husband verified with the technician two times that all repairs they were doing were necessary only and covered by our homewarranty. The technician confirmed twice that the repairs were necessary and covered by our warranty. After the repairs were finished,the technician pulled a pre-written invoice out of his bag saying we owed $1,555 for the repairs and that out credit card would be chargedthat amount. The invoice just had a total with no itemized costs or explanation of why there were were many additional costs all of asudden. The company repeatedly tried to charge my card with the fraudulent amount, but the charges failed because they were chargingover the spending limit. I then reported the fraudulent attempts to charge my Visa and had the card number changed. I never approvedany charges to be made by Sevier Climate Control, but they tried to steal $1,555 from me after already being paid for the repairs byAmerican Home Shield. Sevier climate control receptionist, Caitlin N., has been calling me over a dozen times a day since then and isleaving harassing messages that alledge I owe them more money than what the warranty paid. I still have received no explanation ofwhat they think I owe them extra money for. The company has many BBB and online complaints for the exact same bait and switchtactics and fraudulent charges.I have attached a photo of all of the info needed to file an online complaint form to the state of Texas licensing department. Google TDLR online complaint to report any other illegal activities made by this company. Those company has gotten away with breaking the law for too long, and Ive already reported what happened to me. They should lose their license for trying to steal from people like this....in our own homes! Please help keep Texas honest and report any illegal practices to Texas Dept of licensing.

Updated Review on 07/21/2020After submitting a YouTube review explaining the FAQs about my experience with this company, and proof the company his technician was lying and he never perform the right diagnosis. I received a call from the owner.He was really nice and offer me to take control of the situation and fix the problem. He apologize about the bad diagnosis offered by his technician. 2 Days later my A/C unit was working. They had to replace the coils and the evaporator. At the end everything went smoothly (probably because the video still on YouTube and had 1,376 views). I wish all people had the power to make videos and record the companies if you feel something is not right, videos will force the companies to have better customer service standards and can be used to train better the technicians🛑Will be using their services in the future?🛑 I dont think so. You have only one chance to make a good impression, and after all, this was not a pleasant experience.Original Review July 12th***BEWARE**** READ BBB Reviews First***** I was assigned to this company by my home warranty company because my main A/C is not cooling enough. I have to say the response was great, and I was scheduled the same day, thats impressive. JOSE was my technician, upon arrival we look really unprofessional, wearing shorts, and most importantly he approaches me WITHOUT wearing a face mask. Also, his assistance/driver was not wearing mask. We arrived on a Dodge Ram 1500, upon making the initial diagnosis he went to the back of the house to check the main unit to check the freon. Then he asked me to let him access the attic, literally 2 minutes later after he got to the attic, he had the diagnosis. WOW! that was fast! His diagnosis was Everything looks good, your freon is to the top, but your unit is too small for your house Really? by confronting him about his diagnosis, I ask him, if any of the parts in the attic can be causing this problem, and he said NO, all the parts in the attic look good. I had multiple items in the attic blocking the door access to the evaporator and this guy didnt open the unit in my attic to check the evaporator, because all my stuff still in the same position (Blocking the access to the evaporator). At the end, the diagnosis was Found 1 unit to the home its a 3.5 ton system with r 410a. House is over 1900 sq feet and system is cooling to maximum potential due to the extreme heat. System is full of freon and is undersized for size of home. No mechanical failures found and is cooling to maximum potential by manufacturer specs for its size. First of all, the unit is not too small for the house, because thats the original unit installed by the house builder. 2- The 1900 SF is the entire house construction area, including the garage and the patio, when you calculate the AC unit Tons, they are calculated based on the living area. This company is a joke.
Repair through AHS they failed to fix it it broke again. It took 2 weeks to get a repair the first time and not even a week later it broke again. Clearly they diagnosed incorrectly. They way over charged for freon Ive looked up prices and its $200 for 20lbs of r410 they charge $700+ for 18lbs what a rip off. Ive called around they only do this for warranty customers they literally scam you. They are very unprofessional they showed up in an unmarked vehicle not in a uniform I was uncomfortable answering the door because I had no idea who they were. The first call they showed up 2 hours after the scheduled window. Its a mess all in the middle of the hottest months of the year.
If I could give a review with lower than 1 star I would. This company’s customer service is LOWER than POOR. They show absolutely no empathy for their customers when they are literally dealing with having no AC in this Houston HEAT!!!! I’m one to give second chances but after what they put my family & I through I would never come back to this company again, or recommend anyone to come here. They gave us a wrong diagnosis, then they lied to us telling us they had all of the parts ready and when they got to our house they had NOTHING. Told us that we would have to wait another week... worst service I’ve ever received.

I called my home warranty on Wednesday August 5th because my ac wasnt working. They assigned Sevier. I didnt receive any confirmation of service so I called them they told me earliest they could come was Friday afternoon. They were there for 10 minutes and told me my compressor is bad and it will take 4-5 days to get one. So now Im at day 5 with no ac and still waiting. It has been anywhere from 83-87 indoor temp and the house has a weird smell. Seems like they dont have any sense of urgency so I bought a window ac for our bedroom.
We had a guy come out for an AC problem through home warranty company. I already knew it was a leaking a evaporator coil. My wife was home alone at the time and told her that the AC was old and needed to be converted to a system that used R410A not R-22. Completely reasonable, but our AC system already ran on R410A...SO A COMPLETE JOKE. When I came home about midway through his talk, He started on me. I asked him if he had even looked at our AC system yet, he had not. I then told him that he was the second AC company that came out because I mis-stepped with the process of my Home warranty company and knew what was wrong. He then started to get to work. He submitted a claim to the home warranty company with work with more than $1000 out of pocket that did not need to be done like replacing a 6 month old drain pan and redoing much of the duct-work in the attic outside of just the plenum. This was confirmed with 2 other company quotes of work.

My warranty company uses Sevier Climate Control. Cannot keep an appointment in a timely manner. Both times, Ive been scheduled for a 1-5pm service call. I take time off work to be home in case they arrive...and the first time, service person didnt arrive until 8:00pm. I guess our time and work is not important to them.My second call... its 5:30pm and Im here waiting again. I took time off my job to wait for the service call ..... but as usual, my time off work/money is not important to them. They cant even give me courtesy call letting me know they are either running late or not coming at all.I called their office and I was told that whenever the technician arrives, then he will be here. They couldnt even give me a time frame. Maybe they get a good review as great technicians...but for customer service.. Ill give them a 1 star!
Donovan was very professional. I have American Home Shield coverage and this was the tech the company sent . I couldnt be happier. Repairs were covered, parts ordered right away and was always kept informed of everything. They did what they said they would and most importantly for me WHEN they would do it. I don’t think I’ve ever had such great customer service from a company in the area. They were so prompt in providing a solution to my problem! Within the day they sent a tech to my house. Robert is a top-notch repair technician! He is extremely honest and knowledgeable. Other companies had insisted I buy a new A/C system to replace my 7-year old quality unit, but Robert explained that my system was one of the most efficient and I could expect a 20-25 year life from it. He understood the problem and from his extensive experience, told me about the design and repair kit that the manufacturer provides in cases like mine, His competence was refreshing in a business not known for this! He is now my go to air conditioning guy!In addition, the owner of the company worked with his supplier to find my equipment warranty (I do not have a Home Warranty, but do have an extended warranty through the manufacturer), and work with them to transfer the warranty to my name. This was a process, let me tell you!The only problem I can see with this very good company is their scheduling. They overbook their techs so much that even efficient and knowledgeable guys like Robert are working sunup to past sundown. In addition, and even more frustrating, if unforeseen circumstances arise, like illness or weather, they dont make existing calls a priority, but book them 3 days out or so, causing further delays. I will be writing a letter to the owner, since this business practice is the one giant flaw in an otherwise stellar business.
Used them through American Home Shield, my home warranty, I couldnt be more upset, disappointed or frustrated with Sevier Climate Control. The first person they sent out said I had no issue other than i just needed to clean coils. So I cleaned coils, personally, and the problem was still there. So I called them back out and they said they wouldnt come because I had them cleaned professionally.Which makes no sense, because I did them myself. Finally, they agreed to come back out and they said it was a different issue from the first technician, but I was going to have to spend over 1,000 that would not be covered by warranty. At this point I called a separate company and they said not only were they wrong on the first two problems, SCC left some things open which caused me more issues.Confused? Well so was I. This was a two month process in the middle of the summer and literally none of it made sense because no one could give me the same or generally similar answers.They were insulting, condescending and generally rude across the board.If you use them, good luck, I never will.

Sevier Climate Control replaced my Central AC System. They were on time, covered floors to protect them, very neat and professional installation. They were friendly and helpful, assisting me in understanding SEER Ratings. After completion, they cleaned up very well. I would not hesitate to use them again!

The phone receptionist Jessica was very rude and not interested in providing a good service. It is taking them almost a week to replace the condenser fan and still waiting. I have used Bradbury Brothers before and did the same job in 2 days. Very disappointing company.

Like other reviewers, this company was dispatched to me through American Home Shield.Their initial service call was one month ago when the A/C was not functioning. The technician diagnosed a broken motor, stated he needed to order the part, it would take several days, and then theyd call to reschedule. After the motor was replaced, he made an additional diagnosis that the coils needed cleaning, and quoted several hundred dollars additional fees. He also stated we would eventually need Freon for the unit. He did not, however, diagnose a leak that would have necessitated recharging the Freon.We had the coils cleaned, (not by Sevier for a few hundred dollars).Yesterday the A/C was again non-functional. AHS re-dispatched Sevier.The girl who phoned to set up the appointment was brusque, to say the least, and told me that the earliest they could get to us would be next week. When I explained that her technician had serviced our unit only one month ago, she told me in no uncertain terms that she saw in her notes that we refused to have our coils cleaned or pay for Freon and so that was obviously our problem. I asked her how she got away with speaking to her customers like this. (Obviously, this wasnt her first time with this style of customer service; her rudeness came all-too-naturally.) She laughed and told me shed let me talk to her manager.It seems that not only are their technicians trained scammers, the office help is rude.I have another repair company coming today. Life is too short to deal with companies like this. And from the looks of other reviews, this is Seviers standard M.O.Edited to add: Although the dispatcher knew I was unhappy when we hung up today, I did not receive a call from Sevier until this review was posted.Russell just phoned my personal number and proceeded to harass me about my posted review. He offered no solutions, had no questions for me. He simply wanted to remind me that Sevier has 91 Google reviews and then pointedly asked me: How many of those are negative?!I pointed out to him that on Yelp, most all of the reviews are negative. He told me that Yelp was not a credible review site.So- if you receive poor service from Sevier- plan to get a call from an unhappy employee to berate or complain about it.And make sure to call the home warranty provider and give them your feedback too.For the record, Russell- the answer is ten. TEN NEGATIVE or 1-star reviews. So thats ten people that took the time to post about their experience. And who knows how many more who simply didnt take the time to bother.It makes me wonder if the 80 other reviews werent offered incentives to post positively about your company.
Was forced to work with them through American home shield and had a terrible experience with them. Multiple diagnosis were wrong, frankly it seemed that the technicians/ company didnt want to do the work. They told me the problem was one thing, then another, but told the warranty company something completely different. I recommend you dont waste your time or money dealing with them. Find somebody better.
They came to my house very quickly when I had called about my ac freezing up. They were very curteous over the phone with giving me directions on what to do while waiting on the repairman. When he came he was very nice and fixed it pretty quick.Recommended!!!

Larry was efficient and very courteous. Although Seviers price for Freon was substantially MORE EXPENSIVE than other A/C companies ($20-30/lb more than others)! Yikes!!! next time, ill use someone else. Putting in 4 1/2 lbs of freon HAS to mean theres a leak somewhere but nothing was said about a leak, only that freon was low.

Just completed installation of complete new a/c system - very happy with Sevier. Service, Price, Technician, Timeliness] Super job, very professional.
They were sent out by the home warranty company AHS. While I am always skeptical about the service I will get from the warranty company, I always hope for the best. I am a business owner and rely on honesty and integrity in my business. These guys quoted back to the warranty company with over $1000 in completely fabricated charges. Fortunately as a business owner I have access to reputable hvac contractors who were able to assess the situation, explain the bogus charges, and recommend appropriate service. Obviously, I took the cash out option, and hired someone else.Rather than using the warranty service as an opportunity to develop a relationship for when I need to replace the unit, they decided it was better to try to wring as much cash as possible out of me. Very disappointed that I had to waste the service call fee to be treated like a sucker. Watch out for them padding your bill folks.

Was staying at my cousins and they had a problem with their heating system this winter. They got to their house quick and it was fixed in record time. Wish the companies where this efficient in VA.
Our service technician was great. Timely, friendly, and best of all had our AC up and running in minutes.
We are also home warranty users upon arrival the technician seemed aggravated that my wife had multiple questions and huffed and puffed anytime we asked for answers. Second the technician told us that everything looked good and that we just needed a coil cleaning (that he priced at $400+) we were baffled as we knew something more was wrong. As any homeowner would do we seeked out opinions of a couple other professionals only to learn that our unit was outdated and ready to stop working but also that there were leaky holes all over the place, also we had exposed/outdated duct work. And also came to learn that the thermostat was originally installed in an improper area of the house (by an exit/entrance) As a professional how do you miss all these problems (laziness) worst experience ever. And companies should remember your techs are the face of your company. Maybe some customer service training and some integrity would go a long way with this company. ...very disappointed customer
The technician from Sevier climate control arrived at home on time, he was very professional and diagnosed and repaired my AC issue in record time. I will definitely use this company again!!!!!
This is an excellent company that do quality work at a very reasonable price. They were very fast and efficient at repairing my air conditioning and I would definitely call on them again.
Robert was awesome! He fixed the problem within 30 minutes and didn’t talk down to me about what needed to be done.
Sevier Climate Control was dispatched by our warranty company when I had reported that I noticed excessive water dripping from from the side of our house. They came out and said we had a clogged drain, cleaned it however it was still dripping. They came back out and discovered the main pan in our air handler was cracked. The technician told me that it was covered but we had 4 code violations 1) no furnace stand 2) no float switch 3) redo drains 4) my plenum is an R4 not an R6 and that this would most likely cost $900-$1100 because home warranty companies dont usually cover code violations. The technician Jake then told me the warranty companies generally pay them like $100 for labor. I was pretty concerned after the technician left and called our home inspector and asked him why he didnt notice any of these things. He then informed me that he was pretty sure that none of those were code violations and to question the technician and get where the codes are from and contact the warranty company. I called our technician the next morning and asked if I could have the code numbers and what they were from. He could not tell me, he told me he would have Russell call me. Its interesting that Jake couldnt give me where the codes were from or the code numbers but he could tell me how much the violation cost. Russell didnt call so 2 days later I called him. I asked him where the codes came from and he said the IRC. I let him know at that point that I was having a second contractor come out because I did not believe the code write ups. I called a second company and spoke with the owner of the company he told me to first get the code numbers from Russell. I called Russell and asked for the code numbers. They obviously didnt write them down because Russell was looking them up as I was on the phone. For the Float switch he gave me code number m1411.3.1.1. For no furnace stands he gave me m1305.1.1, for the R4 not R6 he gave me m1601 and for the drains he gave me 1411.3.1.1 again. I called the other HVAC contractor and gave him the codes. He came out and looked at everything and they we went over each code. For the float switch code when you look it up it says if you have a second auxiliary pan with a separate drain leading to someplace that can alert occupants then that is good. That is exactly what I have. In regard to the furnace stand, the code that he gave me was in regard to furnaces/air handlers in an alcove or compartment.....mine is not in either mine is in the attic. When you go to the section about furnace/air handlers in the attic it has no mention of it being on a stand the only thing it says is that it needs 3 inches ground clearance mine has 7 inches and is on non combustible material. In regard to the plenum the contractor said there was absolutely no way they knew whether I had an R4 or R6 as it is not labeled on the outside. He also stated that it is a normal thing to replace when replacing the air handler and that it was not a code violation. In regard to the drains he said that all the drains were up to code I had the required drains insulated with p traps and clean out valves. After looking at online reviews of this company on Yelp, Google and the BBB I see that this company has done this before to other home warranty clients and ironically some of the same codes were written up as a violation. I have filed a complaint with the Texas Licensure and the BBB at this point. They knew exactly what they were doing and exactly how to write it up to alarm the home warranty company.
They treat customers like a number and play games by calling, hanging up and then cancelling on you for not hearing the phone ring once. This is a service industry, so Id expect customer service to be more of a priority. I have a choice, which is why I will never choose this company again.
Technician (Jacob) diagnosed and fixed the problem very quickly. He was very knowledgeable and professional and took the time to provide explanations.

We needed one of the A/C units replaced at work. We have dealt with the same HVAC company for years but decided to check around. We found Sevier Climate Control thru a basic Google search. They were not only able to save us 17% versus our previous company, they were able to get the unit installed the very same day. This was especially helpful because we really did not want to wait two days. The technicians that came out were very friendly and even helped us set up the thermostats for our other units to be more efficient.We will definitely be calling them for our future HVAC needs and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.

These guys really turned my house into an ambiental heaven. I can bring winter in the middle of the summer, while in the cold days I can really find a support in my air conditioners.
I will simply state the facts of my dealings with this company to allow consumers to make an informed descision when choosing an hvac company. My family and I recently purchased our first home and, with it, home insurance through american home shield. Within our first year, our air conditioner was on the fritz. This company was chosen by american home shield to diagnose and fix our unit.The first time we called was an emergency. In the heat of summer, our air conditioner completely stopped working. Despite a promise to arrive within a four hour window, we were left waiting with no air and two young children well after that four hour window before we even received a call saying they would come within an hour. Apparently four hours wasnt a large enough window.Long story short, they failed to diagnose our issue over a period spanning several months costing us (and then them) a good amount of money in freon replacements. Finally, when they realized there was a leak in the evaporator coil, they informed us that we would have to pay 1000 dollars in code violations for them to fix the coil because they could not legally repair the coil without bringing the system up to code, even though these codes had nothing to do with the coil or the efficiency or safety of the system. Unconvinced, we called around to several other companies who informed us that this was a scam that they were pulling to make up for the money they lose by dealing with the home insurance companies.My husband and I went back and forth with the manager, trying to find out what laws required these code violations be fixed. We had other hvac companies come and inspect our house and say that these violations were bogus. We even called a city of houston code inspector per the request of Russel (the lead manager). Russel continued to insist that he was under a legal obligation to fix the codes, but could not provide any documentation of these codes or his legal obligation to fix them. American home shield refused our request to deal with another company. Ultimately, we informed him that we would be filing with the better business bureau and posting our experiences online. Only then did Russel yield and acknowledge that he could not provide any evidence of these code violations or that they needed to be fixed.Ultimately we decided we would rather pay an independent contractor not associated with our home insurance out of pocket than deal with this team of shysters.Dishonest. Incompetent. Bad customer service. Overall, did not use, would not recommend
