Took my daughters car for an oil change and tire rotation, about $82. The service manager, Craig Stein called when it was done and recommended a new engine air filter and cabin air filter, which I would normally just do myself. But he said it would only raise the price to $107 and change, which I thought sounded great so I said go ahead. When he called again to say that was done, suddenly the price was $148. He claimed he was only quoting me the engine air filter at $107, but we absolutely were talking about replacing both. Our family has 4 cars and none of them will be serviced here again.

Brand new tires that have a 16 tread, they gaged at 8 (we checked after our appointment, and they were literally put on the prior weekend) It makes me question EVERYTHING they recommended our vehicle needing. We will be taking our business to someone more trustworthy. Not to mention an oil change appointment shouldnt take 2 hours.

I don’t know if it was them forsure but right after I used my lifetime alignment to get it done. I started to get flats. Thought it was the constant weather change. Then I got left of the side of the road to see that 2 whole nails are stuck in my brand new tires. Maybe they did it on purple maybe they have dirty bays. Also have to mention i started hearing super bad scraping coming from my brakes and I had to get a shop to look at it and guess what. IM MISSING A CALIPER BOLT, now my 300 rotors are warped. Never coming to spring valley location again.

I had an appointment early in the morning, to mount a single tire. I had already purchased the tire. When I called to make the appointment I was told it would be 20 to 30 minutes to mount the tire. Thats normal and was cool with it. Upon arrival I was told it would be an hour give or take. Still no big issue.It took over two hours to get the single tire mounted and balanced. I cant speak for the rest of the services, but good lord. I cant imagine having an entire set put on.Note: this was also not a busy day.

Pep Boys every time I go there they treat me like I own the place, I couldnt ask for a better experience of a friendly business. I wish I could give Pep Boys more stars 🌟. I dream that all business was ran like Pep Boys is.

Very bad experience i did my appointment for alignment service, first I found the manager yelling at a customer on the phone, and them told me you need leave the car and back in around 3- 4 hours, speaking in a very rude way !For alignment service that service take 1 hourSo whats the use of making an appointment if your car doesnt attend right away

If you have a Mercedes dont bother. I brought my 2015 for an oil change because I was going to trade it in. When I went to picked my car the manager said that they couldnt reset/clear the maintenance service message. He stated that they watched multiple YOUTUBE videos and couldnt get the service light to go away. He said that when this happens they recommend customers to go to a dealership to get the service message reset. First off, YouTube? Arent you mechanics? What an inconvenience. So I payed and left. I went home and googled and removed the message myself. That makes me a qualified Pep Boy mechanic

The Pep Boys Auto Service & Tire Shop located near the Spring Valley shopping center is the best place for all auto needs. I love them. They repaired my water pump and installed a new timing belt on my car. And it runs much better and cooler now. They get five stars easily.

This is the best Pep Boys location Ive ever been to. They do not have a shop like most Pep Boys. It is mainly just a garage for service. Their service is fast. Matt is great and very helpful. Alonda is also very knowledgeable and helpful. These guys will tell you what the issues are with your car without any pressure and give you a reasonable price for repairs. They do oil changes in about 20 to 30 minutes on the regular. I come in here all the time for oil changes because theyre so fast and reasonably priced. Seriously if you havent been to this Pep Boys garage you need to check it out its great! They saved me literally hundreds of dollars.

This location states that it closes at 6 I came in at 4 to try and do an alignment and was told that they were closing with an attitude

The online booking system worked well. The only issue was that I was told it would take an hour but it ended up being about an hour and a half.

I came in 30 mins before closing and got helped right away by two great guys - Johnny and Darrell. Best service Ive gotten from a car shop by far and those two guys were just amazing - quick and correct. Those two honestly deserve a raise!

Absolutely love this repair shop. Every single one of the people who work there are professional and detail oriented. I live less than a block away from Pep Boys and they are a complete 180 from how the previous auto repair shop worked. They are open on the weekends as well, big plus!

The work was done in a reasonable time and I left there very satisfied. The mechanic did a top notch job.

Changed my wifes battery in her Z. Not as simple as you would think. I usually do our batteries, but they did it right. Took my Ram in for alignment. Checked everything first, then charged me for what I needed. No unnecessary talk ups, etc. Staff is nice and professional

I set up an online appointment with a conformation text back from this company and I wasted my time coming down here to end up being filled by someone else. And all the guy can do is say sorry and reschedule me for tomorrow??? Wow great service guy. They made an invoice for my car and uploaded it to carfax, I have never been here before. Now I have a odometer discrepancy on my carfax. Thanks for making it impossible to sell my car. I called the customer service line, and the store number. I get put on hold at the store, and the customer service line goes to another location in India. I will make a complaint about this location to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair.

Well here is the experience that was received. My car was taken in to get a Diagnostic for the A/C. We took it In On Friday and they had it for about 3 hours and when we went to pick it Up Matt said that they had NOT started because his employee had gone on his lunch and what not. We were told to come back the following day at 7am and it would take them about 2 hours to do the diagnostic. We ended up having to call them around 12pm and Terry basically said that they couldnt perform a diagnostic because it was most likely an electrical problem. They went from $50 to $100. We decided to go pick up the car because it just sounded wrong. It took them 45 minutes to return the car. They charged us $50 dollars and it was a struggle to get proof of the diagnostics since that is what they were charging us. Terry had the worst customer service ever. He was extremely rude. We took the car to another place and it turned out be be a fuse; a $25 fuse. Had Pep Boys done the diagnostic that they charged us for they would have caught it. Good luck to everyone else who uses this place.

One guy says they install tires for you for $21 each. Later that week I call again to see if they have any available hours, some other guy says they dont install tires unless its bought from them directly. OK so which is it? What kind of dump policy is that? You have to buy from us in order to receive tire installation service? Might as well not offer tie balancing service to those who dont buy tires from you too then while youre at it.

I got a new car last year and my old car has been parked ever since. I needed to renew my registration for the old car, which meant getting a smog check. However, the battery is dead/bad and would need to be replaced first, which meant I would need a tow (I watched YouTube and decided I couldnt do it myself). As you can see, this was becoming a whole production.I admit, I dont know anything about cars and my husband was busy with work so I knew I had to handle this on my own. I did a little research beforehand to see approximate costs for tow, battery & battery replacement, oil change, etc.Since PepBoys seemed to be a one-stop shop (including tow), I decided to go that route even if I could have saved a couple bucks elsewhere. I chatted online with a PepBoys representative and she was quite helpful. At the end of our conversation, I had a good idea of what I had to do and how much it was going to cost me so I scheduled an appointment.A couple days later, it was time to call the Pep tow. I even took the day off for this. My husband kept warning me not to allow them to upsell me anything because they might try to take advantage of me. I was a little worried but was hoping and praying all would go smoothly because it had to get done.The tow arrived quickly (before I even had a chance to arrive at the location of the car). I didnt want him to wait so we met up at the PepBoys on Jamacha instead.I spoke with Matt at the front desk. He started talking about the different oils for the oil changes and I was just waiting for him to try to sell me something that I really didnt need but, to my surprise, he didnt. He checked me in and told me it would take maybe an hour to an hour and a half to complete.I did some work on my laptop as I waited in the little waiting area. To be honest, time flew and I didnt even realize I had been there longer than he had quoted me.When I went up to the counter to pay, Matt explained what they had completed and he even compensated me for the long wait time! I was grateful for that, but I didnt mind the wait because I knew there were other customers and delays happen, plus I was in no big rush. I wanted to tip, but he wouldnt accept a tip either! He didnt even try to sell me anything additional!He even explained how my cars system had reset and how I would have to drive the car around a little before attempting a smog check (which I had actually read about online prior). Since I no longer drive this car, I asked him if there was anything they could do to speed up this process, which there was... but he did not recommend that I pay them a few hundred dollars just to have one of his guys drive my car around town for me (I cant say that I didnt consider it for a second though. LOL).As someone who legitimately does not know much about cars, I was expecting to be greeted by a pushy salesperson, which has happened in the past. I was already expecting to have to call my husband for backup, but I was pleasantly surprised that I didnt have to here. Matt was extremely helpful and honest and I highly recommend this place for their good work and for their integrity. I will be back for any of my automotive needs (I hope you guys know a thing or two about EV).Thank you for your service and, more importantly, for the great experience, Matt & team!

Wanted a simple 10 min or less service ( safety check) after speaking to someone a day before to see if I needed appointment they said I didn’t but when I went in they said I needed a appointment, turned me down, afterwards contacted Chula Vista pep boys and took me in right away.

We had our motorhome towed from Sweetwater Campground it was a non-operational vehicle we had it towed to this location Pep Boys they said they could accommodate it when it got there we showed up at the same time with it we were then told that it cannot be accommodated there they dont have the space they sent us to Broadway location where it never arrived when we got a call 10 days later they finally told us they found it at Quality Towing after we called 1 800 Pep Boys for the tow that theyre supposed to be in charge of our vehicle when we left it with them we have seen the keys everything and it disappeared for 10 days and now we cannot get it back any suggestions besides Court
