Doctor was great. Office manager was a mean girl mad that I was advocating for my personal health. Would not ever recommend. At a certain point I thought about suing them. Don’t go here. Dr Kateb, you are the only saving grace here. Get a new office manager and people with compassion. Also I’ve been unable to get a hold of your office via phone for about a year. Then you randomly send me a check and I can’t call to confirm what for (nothing other than check in mailing) and I want to! My experience was expensive and terrible and I can’t get an explanation as to why you’re now sending me money? Stay away from this office. Had to get the regional manager involved just to get my work I had already PAID for done.
Front office clerk was abhorrently rude to myself and my family whom came with my for my appointment. The doctor himself was disgustingly rude and condecending to me. I will never waste time with this business again.
I must say we dont have any good experience with Aspen. STAY AWAY WITH THEM. BE CAREFUL WITH THEIR BILL. They put the electronic brush on your package without noticing you but charged on your bill which is costing $135. We returned the electronic brush to them on July. 6 in person, but we dont get refunds until now. What is happening for your customer service???? We wrote emails to you many times, no respond......We dont want to judge anything but just want to have our refund back. Please check our emails to TPC 3327 -Tashiana Sheldon. 08/16 update: no response from them yet. Please dont leave this useless customer service telephone number. PLEASE REFUND OUR MONEY.10/ 04 update: havent got the refund yet!!!
This is a great, friendly, fun office. Every single person I worked with at this office is truly amazing. I highly recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a place to go if they are afraid or worried.
Absolutely appalled at the level of disrespect I was given. This receptionist needs mandatory compassion classes. Didnt even let me speak, kept interrupting me, and had a very bad attitude. Corporate needs to re evaluate her position in their company.
I would have given them no stars if I could. I came in for an exam... and they said I should have a deep clean. They had my insurance information and rather than checking what my insurance provider covered..., they just scheduled it for me. All dentists I have had prior to this lets me know the approximate costs and allows me to make the decision.... THEY DIDNT.. Once I had the cleaning, I found out they have on my bill a Sonicare !!! I didnt ask for this. Now I have received a bill for almost$3000 for a 1 hour deep cleaning since my insurance did not cover it..... They are ripoff artists !!!! going to the BBB !!!And to top it off.... I called and they wouldnt charge the charge. I then called several other dentists in the area and they state 1st exam with Xrays is around $40-50 .... I then asked about a deep cleaning and no insurance .,,, and was told it is around $190-200 ... NOT $3000 !!!! STAY AWAY !!!! calling the BBB now !!!
Everyone at aspen was wonderful. They were friendly and courteous, explained everything to me and answered all my guestions
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ASPEN! They tried to charge me 1600 dollars (out of pocket) for a procedure that only cost 400 at a different dentist…. Plus they tried adding Invisalign to my treatment plan, even though I said I wasn’t interested. Highly recommend avoiding them at all costs!
I thought they were extremely rude and ridiculous. They literally called the cops to come harass me all because I had my eyes closed for a couple minutes while I was waiting to be brought back. I apologize that I had been traveling all week and I was tired but in my opinion that is absolutely no reason at all to call the police to come harass me and be rude to me and try to tell me what I can and cannot do. Maybe I am wrong but that is just flat out disrespectful and rude in my opinion and their customer service levels were very low
I am on a limited income and declined the $11,000 standard dentures and the $26,000 implants. Just needed 2 infected teeth removed. The pain med and antibiotic Dr wanted NEVER r got called in to pharmacy. The pain was not relieved by regular meds so endured a full second day of pain and nausea. At stitch removal 2 weeks later I asked why my prescriptions Drs ordered never got called in....response Im sorry. Then asked if I wanted pain meds now...myresponse not now that is far beyond the point now. The gal walked me to the hall to exit. I wont be back, OR give anyone a reference.
I had an appointment scheduled for 7:45am. I received 2 confirmation calls both stating 7:45am plus an email. Both confirmation calls also collected my insurance information. When I arrived at 7:30am (as instructed), I was told my appointment time was 8:15am and that the office doesnt do scheduling, another office does. I informed the front desk that wasnt going to work as I had been told it would be about an hour long appointment so I scheduled at the time I did so I could attend other obligations.Aftersitting in the lobby for 15 minutes (my appointment time), I was still holding the tablet that I had been given to update my medical information. At 8:05am, I still had not been called back or updated on if my appointment had been changed. Would not recommend if you are on a schedule as they dont care about their clients appointment times.
Major mistake! I went to the Newport Hwy location on July 31, 2021 because of emergency pain! After expensive xrays, the dentist told me I had a fractured tooth and I needed to pull it and get an implant, as well as clearliners and they could do it today! This was going to be about $9,000. He was a smooth talker, let me tell you. I left and went to my dentist! I did NOT have a fractured tooth! I had infection (which Aspen did not give me pain meds or antibiotics), and I needed a root canal and another tooth needed a filling replaced! How can this be ETHICAL????? They would have pulled my tooth when it did not need to be pulled!
My dental hygienist was great, but I never saw a dentist. Odd. As long as my teeth are healthy, I’m fine with this. With that said, it’s always nice to get dental health inspection from the doctor.
My visit to the Aspen Dental at 9405 N Newport Hwy, Spokane, left me with impression this place is shady. I made the appointment to address a crown that had fallen out a couple weeks before. Ill start by saying the office is comfortable, and really attractive, and theyre open until 7pm, which is fantastic. Appointments are also pretty easy to get. All of the hygienists were pleasant, and my interactions with them were very positive. However, the dentist, who never introduced himself (Adam Mileski is the only name I found on the website, though the hygienists made reference to doctors), breezed in, looked in my mouth for approximately 30 seconds, called me sis several times, and declared my need for orthodontia. Im 48 years old. If I needed braces, I suspect it would have been mentioned at some time in the past. He told me he planned to replace my missing crown, as well at redo two other crowns, then breezed out of the room. When I went up front to handle the financials and make the required follow up appointments, I was handed a bill for $9000 out of pocket. When I said I wasnt doing the braces, the bill was reduced to $5000+. I mentioned that seemed rather high, and the person I was dealing with said, Oh, I forgot to refresh your insurance information! Its actually $2500. She then assured me they had financing available. The interaction felt odd, and Im left wondering if Id signed the sheet saying I agreed to pay the $5000 out of pocket, if Id then have been charged $5000.I decided I didnt want to continue my care at this office, so I called that afternoon to make an appointment with another dentist. I submitted a release of records request so they could provide the new dentist with all my x-rays, but here it is 3 weeks later, and theyve refused to release my records, despite being contacted by the new dentist. With their refusal to release my records, I can definitely add petty to the list of adjectives for this practice.
I was very happy to go to aspen dental I didnt have insurance but with the place was offering 20% discount so I thought that would help .so I went .got told how much it would. Cost at first it was 7500.then it went down to 660.something like that.the doctor said that after I told him I only had so much money and ask about senior discount im 67.he told me that they would take care of me.well YOU DIDNT DOC.I DIDNT GO TO MY LAST VISIT BECAUSE I WAS VERY UPSET OF ASPEN DENTAL BECAUSE WHAT THEY SAY AND DO TOO DIFFERENT THAN WHAT THEY SAY. TAKE THE 20% OFF THE T.V. IS YOU ARENT GOUNG TO HONOR IT.I HAVE 509 MORE TO PAY AND I FEEL I SHOULDNT BECAUSE THE 20% DISCOYNT SHOULD OF TAKEN CARE OF WHAT I OWE.I WILL NOT GIVE A GOOD REVIEW BECAUSE OF THIS.CATHERINE COY
Changed appointment time without notification, and plainly lied about accepting the insurance I carried on a dental emergency. Their client base arent important to them. Would not recommend.
Had first appt at the Newport location. After consultation which resulted in decisions to extract teeth and then possible upper dentures. The employee quoted, shockingly, my out of pocket responsibility as $2200 and the insurance portion was $8000 plus! Left clinic with disbelief!I called Aspen the following morning and without additional info from me, I inquired cost of dentures again as I believed it had given the wrong info previously. This time, I was told $1100 for upper dentures, but for clients with first time dentures, there was a discount of $880! Whew, that sounded better and right along the fair value!I expected the office to return my call, but never did so I called them back. I told the woman who answered the phone the issue and that I wanted to talk about my dental plan going forward. Tony bewilderment, she said my upper dentures were going to cost $5000!I immediately cancelled my relationship with Aspen! Their attempts to fleece my insurance company and me were not successful!I hate being lied to, taken advantage of. And if Aspen claims that is not the case, then hire employees who know WTH they’re doing!
The office manager at the New Port highway location is a horrible human being if you could call her that!!! She does not care about people only money and how much she can scam out if you. This is the worst dental office Ive ever dealt with absolutely horrible and the dentist and techs are really no better because theyre going along with the office manager and trying to screw people over. This facility should be shut down as they are criminal and all about making money off people who are in pain or wanting to get work done. Is does not matter if your rich, poor old or young they will try anyway possible to screw you and empty your wallet. Absolutely disgusting human beings.
Overpriced and billed my insurance for services they did not do. Stay Away!
Staff was great but dentist was abrupt and didnt answer any questions. In and out in under 5min. Again, staff were great but wouldnt return as they dont do the proceedures! Also very pricey.
Scheduled an emergency appt for a sore tooth. Told to be there at 2;45 for a 3:00 appt. I was still sitting there at 3:15. I asked receptionist when I would be seen... she didnt know and didnt seem to know how to find out. I asked her to ask someone. She went back and came back out saying nothing. I asked her again when I would be seen. They said they will get to you. I waited another 20 minutes and left. RIDICULOUS!!!! If that is the way they run their business, Im glad I didnt actually see a dentist... that could have been a huge mistake!
This place told me I needed two root canals and a crown. Quoted me $1650 out of pocket, after both dental plans paid. That seemed extremely high, so I called around town. The next day found and HONEST dentist elsewhere. Only needed one root canal, no crown and paid $0 out of pocket. Read this places reviews, they SCAM and SUCK!!!
I just went for a cleaning and some X-rays. My hygienist did a great job.
I wish I had read the reviews before I went for a cleaning. I came out with a bill over $5000 with a ton of extras added one of which was an electric tooth brush which no one mentioned and I did NOT want and a crown two other doctors said I didnt need . My daughter was with me because I am 82 so she takes me to all my appointments and is my administrator. I was handed a bill which had no account details, just a bill to be paid without explanation for $4000 AFTER they deducted my annual allowable $1000. My daughter asked the receptionist for a detailed billing which was 3 pages of charges. Figure that out! As you came in the door to the clinic was a huge sign that said NEW patients, all work free for exam, cleaning, and xrays etc. No other disclaimers on the sign. I read it several times to be sure I was reading it correctly. Also their TV ads are the same. My daughter called to see if they were going to honor that sign and was told Oh no. That is only for new patients without insurance. First we knew of that. So I went back in today to take a picture of the sign and yes, it had been taken down! I asked for a copy of what they were billing my insurance company and a copy of their terms for a free exam for my files. Reluctantly she went to her desk and after awhile finally came back with a copy of the billing only. She said there was NO copy of the terms for a free exam. So, they are charging my insurance company $255. When you are living on Social Security every penny counts. This was one of the worst experiences of my long life. My advice is ALWAYS read the reviews BEFORE making an appointment!!!Dont repeat my mistake.Almost all their responses to an unsatisfactory experience is, We are sorry. Have you contacted our Personal Satisfaction team?
Hands down the most caring and compassionate dental office I’ve been to!!!
The doctors and assistants were very nice, and understanding. I have PTSD when it comes to dental visits, they were accommodating. HOWEVER, I dont know if this lady is the business owner, or the office manager, but shes obviously in charge, and obviously not any kind of doctor Id want to work with. She was rude, she was more concerned with payment than procedure, she doesnt listen to people who are actually involved with the work, just goes by whats on the paper. I would totally work with the doctors again, but not that office manager from hell.
Was told by the dentist the only thing that would work for me was titanium upper and lower fixed implants. He told me all the benefits to my health, how quick the healing process would be and they could do my extractions and implants as soon as next week. I was excited because all my dental issues would be a thing of the past, plus I’ve got great dental insurance so.....They had me meet with the front desk to look at the financial part and she passed me a quote on a piece of paper of over $48,000! She told me my insurance would probably cover half that amount so I’d still be responsible for about $25,000. I told her there was no way I could afford that so maybe I needed to see the dentist again so we could discuss other options and she said I could discuss my options with her, we could even just do that over the phone. So the secretary is who you discuss your dental procedures with? It’s not about what’s best for the patient, it’s all about the money.
I went there for an emergency dental appointment, and the up sell is no joke. Reminds one of a shady car dealership. The first words out of the dentists mouth was to beg me to buy invisilgns from them. Can you image needing a tooth fix and they are more concerned with selling you a different product. They charged me 135 dollars for a toothbrush I never got and 300 dollars for laser cleaning I didnt need. They make you pay before they show you the bill and the huge lady at the front desk has a no refund shirt on so good luck with that beast.i argued with her for 30 minutes and went fro. We didnt charge you to you agreed to wait until after insurance
My best dental experience! They are very kind, understanding, and work with you!
I have had nothing but an outstanding experience from this office. Everyone was friendly and professional. Made me feel confident in the Doctor, staff and my treatment there. Thank you Aspen Dental for a great dental experience.
Dr. Nguyen was great! It took him all of 5 minutes to remove a wisdom tooth & get me on my way! Very informative, polite & fast! I have always avoided & hated the dentist but the speed, affordability & same day booking with Aspen, in addition to the friendliness of staff & the swift, painless procedure - I know where I’m going next time.
I went in with some issues created by another dentist. They were helpful and considerate of my situation. Ill go back to them for mine and my familys dental needs from now on. Dr. Z was knowledgeable and very understanding. Thank you.
Terrible do NOT GO HERE! I went in to get my front tooth fixed It needed a cap so the dentist fix my tooth and the dental assistant put my Cap on I told her it felt weird The dental assistant grabbed the tools and she filed the cap down for me but not enough. When I went in to go get my permanent cap put on I asked if the dentist if he could do it not the dentist assistant they said yes the dentist always puts the on the real cap. after he put the cap on it was way longer than my real tooth I told him and his response to me was I cast it from your real tooth and I told him thats not how my real tooth looked when I 1st came in. it was like all my other teeth so he filed it down and put a gap in my 2 front teeth he didnt even check to see if the fit was right and I have been biting down On my front tooth wrong for months and now I have to have my front tooth pulled.
Honest, Dr. Anthony Nuenge was kind, patient and professional when explaining my best options and recommendations for my care plan. The staff was friendly, put me at ease and genuinely cared about my concerns. I would and will recommend Aspen Dental on Newport highway, Spokane Washington 100%
Man it hurt. But they made me feel like I was apart of there family.
My wife received sub-standard care here for a multiple root canal/drill operation, over several visits. Her life has been misery for about 3 months now, and it only draws out.A quick list of the issues (Probably not all inclusive, this has been going on since just before Christmas 2020, so bear with me. Aspen folks, if you need clarification, please contact me and Ill get you in touch with my wife for further explanation):1. Expressed early on at her first visit that she has PTSD regarding dentistry due to some bad experiences in childhood, which makes her go through Novocaine way faster than normal. This is a known issue for her, and has been dealt with at multiple other dentists by putting her under. No one paid attention to this information out of the gate, and she had to be numbed multiple times during the procedure, which drug out the visit for 4 or 5 hours. If theyd just put her out like she requested early, this wouldnt have been an issue. They continued to use mostly novocaine alone for every proceeding visit, again ignoring her requests.2. 2nd visit, they called in a prescription to Chas for a sedative to help with the anxiety. Apparently no one followed up, because Chas didnt have the meds on stock, and this led to a last minute scramble finding someplace to fill the scrip. Ended up a little late to the appointment as a result, with not enough time for the prescription to kick in. Predictable results.3. During the aftermath of the 2nd visit, the office person was arguing with my wife and the dentist on staff that she didnt need additional antibiotics or any pain meds. My wife was in a fragile state and not up for argument, but thanks to the dentist on staff the antibiotics got prescribed, but she was told to deal with essentially ibuprofen and a couple Tylenol with codeine for the pain (and not enough of them, following their standard practice Im guessing). In addition, the office person was insisting that the final drilling/root canal be done THAT NIGHT (Im assuming to make her billing job easier). Thankfully the dentist overrode her. This person needs some training on how to deal with the public, especially when the people they interact with just went through medical trauma.4. Went back for another visit, and she liked the dental staff... right up until they apparently put someone new on her final drill/root canal as OJT. Now she has nerve pain in her face that shoots down her neck. They managed to get the crown prep done at least, and she was told that they would call her when it came in, timeline of 2 weeks. Their statement: Dont call us, well call you.5. Two weeks went by with no notification. Then roughly two more weeks. Once the first two week mark hit, my wife tried contacting the office multiple times and could not raise a human being or get a message through. She finally got a hold of them two days ago, and the office response was Its been here for a few weeks. No one called you?Shes going to get this final crown in on Monday. After that were done with this company. And its a shame, because I actually liked the staff in the Valley location (Theyve been doing my hygiene work for the last year or so), but if this is what Aspen as a corporation feels is quality work, then Im not going to do business with this company at any point in the future, and I would encourage others to avoid them as well.
Great service, great atmosphere, professional staff. Glad I chose Aspen Dental!
Very welcoming staff, informative and provided different options for the dental work I needed done. Appointments to do the work in a much shorter time line than I expected.
The staff is extremely friendly, caring and efficient. The Doctors of Dentistry are experienced, friendly and actually listen and address your issues. Financing is available and most insurances are accepted. They actually guarantee their work! They are also located all across the USA. You can get service at any Aspen Dental Office. I highly recommend Aspen!
DO NOT GO to Aspen Dental Paid for dentures when teeth were extracted 18 months ago. Kept my money for 18 months and did not ever make me dentures. NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!
My Mother had an appointment she had written her appt was 4:40 they called her today and said they had to cancel her 5:30 appointment because they close at 5. Why the hell would they even schedule an appointment so late if theyre closed and she was told 4:40. Shes very upset because shes been trying to get help for awhile with her teeth and that was super unprofessional and not okay.
Theyre pricing was never right.. they charged us for 5 toothbrushes, expensive ones that we didnt ask for nor receive. Luckily we caught it. We paid in full and then they wanted more. Then they refunded saying they overcharged, then they tried to charge for something that was already paid for and my husband refused to pay and staff was not looking into to the problem. Our whole experience was stressful and chaotic.
You do realy great work. Thank you
I love the doctor! I wish I could remember his name! Hes so cool and friendly.Which doesnt matter if hes no good at what he does, but he definitely is good at what he does.
Worst dentist experience of my life. Not on time with apportionment. They dont use dissolvable stitches like every other dentist. Whole process seemed rushed once they where operating. Nitrous mask came off multiple times during tooth removal. They did not know my age or the fact i had nitrous pre planned.... do your research i do not recommend them at all
If I could give negative stars I would. This is by far the WORST dental work Ive ever had done. Not only did I pay nearly $7,000 out of pocket, was told by a reputable dentist that the work was inadequate. I now have extreme pain on the teeth they worked on, and will have to get the work redone properly. Even though Aspen dental redid already. Im not about to suffer more than I already have physically or financially. I contacted the office, regional management, corporate and have recieved no compensation for the trouble they have caused. I requested my reords a month or so ago and only recieved them a couple of days ago. They also said there would be no charge for them, however in ths letter they wrote claimed as a courtesy they would provide them free of charge. What a joke. I have tried multiple times to speak with someone of importance and have yet to hear back from anyone. When I was able to reach one of the receptionist to find out what was being done, she mentioned that they wanted me to come into office so he could review his work Nd go over the procedures done as well as discuss a $500 refund. That was all I heard of until I recieved my records. The letter included with that said that rejected a $500 refund the doctor was going to give to the CREDIT card company the credit card I had opened through them as well as paid off and closed. Which they are fully aware of. That was the first I was learning of this $500 credit to a card that didnt exist . Its comical how unprofessional, unethical and shoddy this place is. I am currently pursuing a lawsuit towards this totally practice. Considering all the negatives Im finding along with all of my records, my second opinions from actual reputable dentists, my chances are looking good . After someone paid almost $7000 out of pocket, youd think theyd be willing to give some of that back after the work has to be redone AGAIN. They do not do work that is up to Washington dental standards. They are scammers. All about the money. Suggest procedures that ARE NOT needed. And charge more than twice the amount any other dental offices charge. I wish I had read all these reviews before I had wasted my time and money on this office.
I loved my experience at Aspen. The dentist was nice. He gave me 2 options to my problem and i didnt pay anything for the consult. If i could afford to go back i would but i cant so i wont...😣
I loved Dr. Anthony, he was so gentle and caring.Brittney, Jamie and front office were so great.Carrie and Leticia were absolutely fun.
Never been treated so poorly by a care provider. Had to get Delta Dental Insurance involved to get a referral. Dont use this office. Very unprofessional. They are very expensive and push services on you that arent necessary. Wish I would have read these reviews and found another office the first round.
They were Courteous, speedy, and Overall awesome atmosphere, however the pricing was different then what I expected, but it was good that they were able to do it the same day
The Dr I had made me very comfortable I wasnt even scared their great I will go to them again
Aspen Dental (at the Y) has been the friendliest and most professional dental facility my family has found. Whenever we visit, it feels like visiting family. I would recommend Aspen Dental to everyone
Quality care, kind staff, would recommend!I experienced a dental emergency while traveling out of state; was able to schedule an appointment quickly and get on the path to feeling better. Thank you Dr. Z & Aspen Dental team!
I had a nice experience with the staff an doctors and i was able to get my tooth removed al in the same.. fast an friendly i would choose over any other dentist in the area.
I had a crown done at another office years ago, and when it fell off and I needed it fixed, I went to Aspen Dental. The staff is very friendly, the online scheduling system was convenient, and the office is nice and clean. They got me in right away, and within 2 weeks I had my new permanent crown in place. Even though I dont have insurance, they were accommodating and sat down with me to go over payment options.
Amazing and very patient staff!! I am petrified of being at the dentist and the doctor and staff went out of their way to make me comfortable and relaxed! Had a very bad tooth and they were able to get me in right away and get me out of pain! Love the staff and especially the Doc! Thank you for everything!!!
Quick appointment, was able to get Everything done while I was there and extremely thorough from the cleaning to extraction to financial side of things. The dentist was so gentle I had barely any pain or swelling from the extraction.Highly recommend.
They push services on you that you don’t need. They are not honest about what is more important when multiple things need done. The worst part, is that they bill you for things without telling you they do them. For me, they scanned me for invasalign, without my knowledge or consent, and billed me for it weeks later by surprise.
I do not go to the dentist usually so this visit was more than long passed due. I was impressed and relieved by how nice and personable everyone was. Everything was explained in terms I could understand. Everything is done there, you arent farmed out to multiple places. So very happy 😊.
There are 3 things I suggest.1. Make them slow down when they explain things to you2. They need to explain better the procedures they are doing to you3. Do not have your teeth pulled out on a Friday!!!!! They are not there on the weekends to help you.Other than that, so far, so good!)
My biggest fear has always been going to the dentist because it is in my opinion an uncomfortable and painful experience (this coming from a person who has had 3 surgeries). I really loved how all staff from the front desk, manager to the dentists made me feel welcomed and at ease. I especially appreciate how they all went out of their way to accommodate my financial needs as a first time patient! I would 120% recommend Aspen Dental Clinic over any other Dental Clinic within the Spokane County. Thank you for your excellent and caring customer service! (especially during this global health pandemic)
Very polite and professional, helped me get the help I needed, and didnt try to upsell me. Worked with me to find treatment within my budget, and didnt feel like a dentist that was there primarily for profit.
Never have i ever been to a dental facility where every person...from receptionist...to dental assistant...and the dentist...they were all very kind and personable. They answered all my questions and told me about all my options. They even told me i could bring in someone whose opinion mattered to me... to give me the yay or nay...if my new dentures (wax try in) looked good or not. They even got me in the same day i called! Thus far...i would recommend aspen dental to anyone!!!! I have not a single thing that i could complain about! Keep doing exactly what youre doing aspen dental!!! You guys are AWESOME!!!😁
I didnt get exactly what I wanted but I got what I needed along with a wonderful staff who were so nice and wonderful along with their pleasant and great sense of humor.
Didn’t get the service I went there for but amazing service and lovely staff.
Amazing staff and dentists. They went above and beyond. This is my new dentist office
Everyone at Aspen Dental went way and above to make me comfortable and feel cared for. It started with the morning appointment reminder text, telling me that they are excited to meet me. Both dentists are very personable and made me feel special, not just another patient they have to deal with. I am delighted with my decision to put my oral health in the hands of Aspen Dental, even though it takes 2 hours driving time just to get there.
The experience was a sham!I was quoted a price for cleaning on the phone for 76.00 at the north Spokane office, a special for new patients (no insurance) exam and exrays included. I arrived a few minutes early to allow for paper work and finally taken back for exrays and 30 second exam. I was left there for over an hour before finally flagging someone down to inquire about the long wait for my cleaning. Then the sham switches into high gear, cleanings are a separate appt Price, dont know who quoted 76.00 but that was impossible. The cost would be more than twice that amount and if I waited another hour I could get squeezed in. I got up and walked out.
I was told to try Aspen dental and i have to say honestly i just love how kind and caring and compassionate the whole staff and even dr Ahmad wassuper sweet and caring. I toldhim about my prior anxiety and bad experiences ive had and the dental emergency i was in desperate need of and he had me booked the very next day. From beginning to end it was a positive experience and i would definitely reccomend them to anyone.
Coming from myself who has been terrified of the dentist my whole life and has extremely high anxiety, Aspen Dental has been great. Unfortunately, I have had to get fillings within the last year, regardless of how well I brush and floss, and they have been so gentle and understanding. Holly is by far the best dental assistant and hygienist I’ve ever had; she’s easy going and put my fears and anxiety at ease. The previous dentist I had was amazing but had unfortunately moved and when I told the staff of my anxieties, they assured me the new dentist was great and I was definitely not disappointed. I still don’t like the dentist and probably never will, but I know my visits to Aspen Dental are never as bad as expected and keep me coming back every 6 months.
Actually this is from Catherine H., his wife. It is 11/4/19, and I had a implant appointment ( one of 5 ) this morning. I WANT TO MAKE IT EXTREMELY CLEAR THAT I CANNOT PRAISE THE ASPEN TEAM AT NORTH SPOKANE...AND THE Y, ENOUGH. I HAVE HAD SOME DENTAL WRONG NUMBERS IN THE PAST, BUT THESE GUYS AND THE PRACTICE GENERALLY ARE JUST SUPERB !!! IM 70, AND I KNOW THEY MAKE SPECIAL CONCESSIONS FOR ME IN THE WAY OF WORKING MORE SLOWLY, REPEATING THE INSTRUCTIONS ON PROCEDURES, ASKING FOR FEED-BACK AT EVERY STEP OF THE PROCEDURE. GOD BLESS !!!
Bought dental insurance through Costco/Delta Dental. My wife and I both had check ups at the N. Spokane office My wife also had a cleaning. It took 3 hours each. Staff was nice enough but have never in 45 years had an exam and cleaning last more 1 hour. I was refused a regular cleaning due to excess tarter/receding gums which has never happened. I have had cleanings twice a year up to retirement. Recommended $1100 treatment. I passed. Will go back to previous dentist out of pocket and try again in fall.
Im not a review writer but my experience here was not good. I had 2 crowns prepared. Aspen Dental did not have the supplies they needed for the job, my doctor left before the job was done, his assistant had to finish everything up and she could not get part of the procedure correct. She had to try several time, pushing aggressively on my gums. She seemed like she had not done this many times before. there are huge spaces between my teeth (The temporary crown is too small?) and she didnt get all the glue off my temporary crowns and Im still having to deal with that. My gums ache and so does my 2 teeth and its been 5 days. Im still taking over the counter pain meds to work.Another dentist had to come in and give me another shot to numb the area again and he hit a nerve which made me jump. He was not careful and said I would be fine and then he said he was writing me a perscription for pain. The assistant acted super surprised. What? Why? she said. I never received the prescription. The shot did numb the area as well as across my chin and down my neck. They act unprofessional and unexperienced. I have NO confidence to go back. When I called to cancel my follow up appointment to seat the permanent crowns (3 weeks out IF they could get them back by then) it was no big deal to them. I asked what I owed and she was confused what to say and said she didnt know. I asked to speak with someone who might know and she hummed and said I would just be notified if I owed anything.I will never go back. I am seeing another dentist to finish the crowns. Im old enough to have had several visits to the dentist in the past and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had.
Overpriced and complete lack of empathy. Had excruciating mouth pain and couldnt sleep or function and they wanted over 6k when the place down the street only asked 1200.
They got me right in and was able to work with my insurance so that I can have a smile to be proud of. I cant wait.😀Update... theyre making it right... thank you so much.
ABSOLUTLEY HORRENDOUS SERVICE! Avoid at all costs, its like the McDonalds of dentists
We never made it past the cost of treatment, Aspen Dental was crazy expensive. We are with a different insurance this year and Aspen accepted it. They quoted me a ridiculously high amount I would pay after insurance. Ended up our old dentist was way cheaper without us having insurance
This was my first visit to Aspen Dental. I found everyone to be very friendly and informative.
Going to the dentist is a chore in itself for most people, but the staff at Aspen Dental made my day. From the moment I was taken back the staff was knowledgeable and friendly, they listened to my concerns and addressed each issue. Dr. Ahmad was personable and friendly, he seemed genuinely excited to help me. I cant wait to begin the procedures we mapped out!
Dr was one of the coolest people I met but the manager was probably one of the biggest POS I ever met she told me shed help me an get payments started instead hands me a 7500 bill an tells me good luck I need work now an I cant get it because of her
Overall I have had a great experience here. Staff just needs a little more training on communicating with the patients what they will be paying for, instead of stating “it’ll be X amount $ today.” Patients like transparency and clear cut communication. I would expect the same at any other place of business. However, all of the doctors and hygienists are so kind! Thank you for all you do.
The front desk staff is amazing and friendly. The dentist is very nice and honest. They will be my dentist always.
They are all amazing people at this office. Even during this troubling time they put there patients first. Thank you for being open and being caring
Very nice people, great service. The workers really care about your well being and make sure you are taken care of quickly and properly. Tooth extraction only took minutes to complete after numbing and Ive had no complications, 10/10
Got to the office 15 minutes before the appointment as they asked for, but still waited an hour. Then I was told that they wouldnt clean my teeth without x rays even though Im just traveling for the summer and dont need a new dentist. Probably my own fault for going to a dentist chain that does business like Dominos Pizza instead of visiting a real dentists office.
Never in my life have I even heard of a dental cleaning to the tune of 700.00 + DOLLARS. I DO NOT HAVE GUM DISEASE EITHER!!! Normally my insurance covers all of my cleaning. I about fell out of my chair when I was quoted a price. I call this price gouging and I will get ahold of the dental association. Stay clear of the Aspen Dental in NORTH SPOKANE!!!!!
Honest, kind, patient and understanding. Will come here for now on.
I am just getting started with my journey at Aspen. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. If I were to say anything, I would say that it was a bit unorganized in getting information from one person to another, but, when confronted, they really answered all my questions and made sure all my concerns were addressed.
Moms dentures broke. Aspen got us in same day Staff was great. Options explained well. Her old dentures were needing to be replaced.and the broken denture was fixed so she would have teeth while her new dentures were being made. The facility was clean and for a large company I felt they were very caring. We are at the North Spokane site I recommend this group. Im an RN and pick up on poor service, hygiene, and patient care. Not a problem here Thank you Aspen for your care.
Promptly seen. Modern facilities with good features. Great staff. No pain. Staff was very competent and knowledgeable. Prices reasonable. Nice waiting areas. Seen quickly. Thanks
The whole team is absolutely amazing. I initially came in for an emergency appointment, and was treated with such respect and compassion that Ive now had several follow up appointments for restorative work. Dr. Ahmad is so, so kind and gentle, and is clearly passionate about his work. He and the rest of the staff really seem to enjoy working together. Thomas especially makes each appointment as comfortable and relaxed as possible, and has a great sense of humor.
They were able to get me in and have work done the same day as I was a new patient! They helped with financing! What a blessing! Every person I met was eager to please and very friendly and compassionate!
Worst experience ever. I hadnt been to a dentist in years. I try to take really good care of my teeth though. Saw so many commercials about Aspen Dental, the offer of a free exam, teeth cleaning and x-rays caught my attention. I purchased a dental discount plan. 2 days later, I felt something rough on my crown, so scheduled an appointment. I dont know if there is room to list all of the things that went wrong. I first saw the dental assistant. She was great. She did the x-rays, looked at my teeth, and said Your teeth look really good. The dentist will most likely just polish that rough spot on your crown. Then the dentist came in. He said my tooth looked good. I told him it felt like something chipped off of my crown. The dentist then said Oh you have tartar. Tartar is not a big deal. Suddenly the crown that looked fine to the dentist needs to have a crown replaced (because of tartar). He then looks at a bridge that he says is at least 20 years old, and definitely needs to be replaced. He will give me an implant, redo the crown in the front, and polish the crown behind the implant (There are 3 parts to a bridge.) He then tells me I need to replace another crown. And he is ordering Invisalign for my teeth. The dentist keeps calling me sis and keeps wanting to bump me elbow to elbow. Kind of like a high 5 with elbows. I am now looking at somewhere near $8,000. I go up to the check out and the girl says Do you want Invisalign? I answer no. So she shows me how straight her teeth are. I am told I need to hurry up and schedule my appointment because the dentist is very busy. I ask for a print out of exactly what is needed and left. I got home and did not see any cavities listed, no gingivitis, Nothing. I called Aspen Dental and mentioned that I wanted to know where my cavities are. I mean with my discount, and without Invisalign the fee is not a little over $6,000 and I wanted to know what was wrong with my teeth. The woman gives me the number of the 3 teeth, and I kept asking if I had cavities, loose bridges, crowns or exactly what was wrong with my teeth? She told me I could schedule an appointment to find out.I decided to go to a different dentist. I walked in to Carnell Family Dentistry. The dental assistant kept asking if I was sure it had been 7 years since I saw a dentist. Then the hygienist did a teeth cleaning, and BAM no more tartar. She called in the dentist to look at my teeth. He could not believe how great my teeth and gums were. I explained I dont do sweets, I brush 3 times a day,and use my water pic. The dentist polished the rough spot on my crown, said I did not need ANY OF THE THINGS Aspen told me was imperative. He could not understand why I needed an implant, my crowns were in great condition, there were no cavities, and my gums were in great shape. He did recommend doing a few small fillings, not due to cavities, but due to my doing such a good job brushing that some of the dentin was being exposed. Dr. Carnell wanted to make sure it did not spread, and my teeth were protected. Dr Carnell was so upset he is considering reporting Aspen Dental to the board. So, all in all my $6,000 plus ended up costing a little over $300.My concern is I believe Aspen Dental targets low income people that do not have insurance, they take advantage because most people do not ask the questions that I asked, and they offer you a great financing plan. Havent a clue what the interest rate is on the financing. And they do work that is not needed.
Very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. All of the employees seemed genuine and kind. I appreciate the team work that was exhibited during my procedure. My mouth was not being very cooperative. The employees were quick to ask for help and help was quickly given. Thank you Aspen Dental
The people and service was awesome but the thing called financing is for ONLY RICH people those of us that are challenged financially are NOT welcome.
I cannot express the feelings I have about Aspen, except to say I was lied to from the Dentist to the finance manager. I cannot stand someone, or some business telling me a lie, but Aspen did it.The Dentists to the finance manager knew my problem with not being able to afford a whole lot. Sure they offer you free x-rays, but they will get you on the backend to cover this with the services they offer. The first offer comes when they want to brighten you smile. Again I told them I couldnt afford it. Then they ushered me to the green room to talk to the finance manager. Here again I had expressed my financial situation to them, from setting up an appointment to the x-rays, to the probing my gums, to the dentist telling me his life of having cancer and going through chemo. Then being directed to the finance manager and again telling her my financial situation. Finally, being directed to a hygiene clinic to address the issues with my teeth. I was told that the x-rays along with all the other data gathered would be sent to this clinic. The next day I called them and asked about sending the information to this clinic, but they say I needed to sign a release in order to do it. So I drove to their place of operation and signed the papers and specifically checked the box stating that all x-rays and data information be sent to this clinic. To summarize, what started out with only a day to get the info ready has resulted in a week worth of lying. I feel that they wanted to keep the info themselves and not to release it to this clinic, even though they expressed their concerns and empathy to me.My only reason in going into Aspen was from the advertisement on the TV, and in the call I made to them to schedule an appointment. It was at this time I told them I didnt have insurance and about my financial situation. As I stated, my only reason in going to them, was due to the fact I needed a Dental clearance in order to have my knee again replaced due to it failing because I have a defective artificial joint. All that they needed to do was just look at the inside of my mouth to see if I had anything from sores to infections. All the rest of this sham was unnecessary and completely uncalled for. The clinic that Im going to was referred to me by their finance manager, and she even provided to phone number to me. My suggestion to anyone wanting any dental work or clearances for surgery, is simple. Just stay away from Aspen Dental.
The worst place you can go. Jessica lies to me multiple times. An just a simple tooth extraction costed me $400. Sneaky place to go.
My girlfriend has probably the worst fear of dentists Ive ever seen after having horror story worthy work done. After coming to Aspen, neither of us will ever go to another dental office. The dentist that worked on her, she said he was the nicest and most gentle doctor she has ever met who treated her with very special care. Not only were they able to treat her the way she needed but they also were so very kind at working with our budget and took the time to go over finances with her before her appointment. Thank you so much Aspen.
Aspen Dental went over my dental plan thoroughly and caring. Thank you.
Everyone was nice, polite, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is userfriendly. The prices are a little steep when you are paying out of pocket. Why would you get $50 off for using insurance but not with cash? Does not make sense to me. Should be other way around.
