Linda, is a hidden gem! I was so surprised by the rude reviews from a mother and daughter... mistakes happen - show some grace. Linda, was so amazing! I actually just moved here from CO, already had a seamstress doing my dress, but had to move to WA. I went to another shop here in town (I won’t mention, because I want to remain professional), however, she was very cold, didn’t touch my dress (yes, you read that right), and wanted to charge me $525 for cups, and to make it shorter. No bustle or anything! I left in tears and was recommended by another tailor, here in town, to go see, Linda, at the sew shop! I called that day and from the moment she answered the phone, I was at ease. I have two dresses to alter, and at the other place, she made me feel like I had to choose which one to wear, because of the insane cost! Linda told me I do not have to compromise on my wedding day and was able to do both dresses at a much more reasonable price. She made me feel like I was at home with a mom the entire time. Such a great experience! I can’t wait to see my dresses and The Sew Shop has a forever client! Thank you, Linda and The Sew Shop, I am so grateful for you!

It isnt a retail store, she does alterations. She is very good and dependable.

I had spoke to a gal on 9/9 and made an appointment to talk about some alterations about my bridal gown for 9/10 at 4:30. I showed up at 4:27 and there was a sign on the door that said be back at 4 and the door was locked. I thought that was weird. Decided to wait until 4:35 and checked again and no luck. I was just shocked! Not even a full 24 hour notice about someone coming in for an appointment and someone still forgets! All that tells me is if you can’t be at your own business on time for an appointment then I CANNOT trust someone like that to touch my wedding dress. It was just ridiculous.

Hands down - one of the best experiences getting fitted for a bridesmaids dress that didnt fit! Linda was absolutely the nicest and she made me feel really comfortable in a dress that needed A LOT of work!! I was blown away that she was able to make it all happen in less than a week. Most places take a few weeks to do this kind of work and she was able to accomplish SO much in so little time (plus, the dress fit perfect in the end). I feel really lucky to have found a place that was able to work for me and I highly recommend going to Linda for any alterations. She went above and beyond and I cannot thank her enough!THANK YOU :)

After speaking to several tailors in town about my wedding dress, my wife and I were exhausted, overwhelmed, and disappointed by the cost estimates we had received. I wish we would have started at the Sewing Shoppe!Linda was the only tailor who asked for me to put on my dress and took the time to understand my concerns and expectations. There was A LOT of lace and special details on my dress but she completed the work well within our timeframe and the price was fair.Not only is she experienced and meticulous, she is also kind, patient, and funny!When I went in for my final fitting, I felt so comfortable, confident, and beautiful in my dress – it was absolutely perfect.Thanks, Linda!

Brought in a bridesmaids dress to be altered. When I went in to pickup, literally nothing was done to the dress and I still paid for alterations.

Great shop! I was a little worried I wasnt in the right spot when I was walking up the back of a building and up some steep, narrow steps but once I was there it was all great. The seamstress is wonderful. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She was on time with her work and was priced well. I will go to her from now on. *I had a bridesmaid dress and a suit was done for my man friend

Don’t go here! Keep searching! I went and put my dress on the first one and she was somewhat pleasant. She told us it would be around 100. First fitting my mom paid 100. Second fitting she paid another 100 and I was told when I came to get the dress, I would try it on to make sure the bustle was in the right place. I went in for my 3rd fitting and pick up and it was in the bag. My mom took my dress to be steamed and they called her and told her telling her they did the best they could but there were so many sewing pins and safety pins that it made it difficult. My dress had NOT been altered!!!! And there was no bustle. My mom had to take it back and sit there while she altered it....less than 48 hours before I was supposed to walk down the aisle. Saturday I put my dress on for the wedding and the bearing of my dress had not been placed back on properly, it was tacked up to make it look like it was done. The beads were coming off. The dress was not the right length. It was still way too long. There was no bustle. The rubbing of the dress was not placed back properly from alterations so it was all digging in. Do not go here for any alterations, this was a disaster.

We have gone here several times within the past couple of years for various projects. Our first experience was when our entire grooms men party went here to have their suits tailored. I had to have some work as well converting my wedding dress from a zip back to a lace up back. We had a strict timeline and tight budget. All was completed perfectly on time, and on budget!!

Linda took the measurements for myself and my groomsmen for my wedding last year. She did a great job and we ordered our clothes from a shop in England. After a huge delay from the UK shop I ordered from, everything came in the wrong size. It was down to the wire, but Linda made massive alterations to save my entire wedding outfit. I cant recommend her professional, quick and skilled services strongly enough. Especially for men because we need tailors too!

The owner is so sweet! She got me right in for a fitting, and will have my dress finished in a few days! I highly recommend this place!

A was a very nice lady who runs a nice little sewing shoppe. No complaints! Her quote was accurate, she had it done by when she said it would be done, and her stitching is really great.

Linda and Patricia, two lovely ladies who enjoy a challenge. I had a special project in mind, build a shoe bag big enough for my size 13 shoes. Gave them a drawing of my thoughts and Linda sat down with my and translated my ideas into to reality. The results was a useful bag that works for me. The cost was well within the range I had specified. Their forte is designing and making dresses for special occasions and they work with the Susie G Korman foundation.

Almost 8 years ago A Sewing Shoppe saved my butt and today shes saving me again! I relied on the original place I purchased my wedding dress to alter it and when I received my dress with 2 days left before my wedding in 2011 it was horribly altered and did not fit at all. I called a million places that didnt wanna take on my dress with 2 days to go. When I called A Sewing Shoppe she said bring it in and I will have it done (plain and simple). Not only did she alter it beautifully she didnt charge me and arm and a leg! My dress had a million layers of tulle and the bodice was really intricate so to have it done so fast and at a great price was amazing. Almost 8 years later fast forward to today... I called in a panic because my husbands suit pants didnt fit for a wedding hes in Saturday and again with such calmness she said tell him to bring them in and ill have them done in time. smile emoticon:) Will never go anywhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally dishonest. She gave me a quote, in writing, I even put a deposit down on the items. When I arrived to pick up the clothing (which look like a high school student had sewn), she added 37% to the price. Nearly $165. I could not believe it, and when I asked her about it, she got really angry with me and said I didnt appreciate the time it takes to sew. I told her that she should have called if the cost was going to be increased by 37% over what she had put in writing. She then told me to just pay and take my clothing. TERRIBLE. There are no words I can use to how poor this place is. If you go into this shop, then dont complain later, you have been warned. I couldnt believe the way she treated me, no wonder she is having a hard time staying busy. I was warned by a local dry cleaner not to take my clothing there, I guess I should have listened.

Linda Graff has custom-made several dresses for me and I am delighted with them. As well she has downsized and redesigned my wardrobe and that includes leather jackets. Good work.

Took my wedding dress to be altered here and had an okay experience. She was very knowledgeable and definitely knows her stuff...but I wasnt happy with how unorganized she was. When I came in for my second fitting she had the measurements all wrong somehow and had to fix while I waited. Then when I was supposed to pick up my dress a few weeks later she couldnt find it and when she did it wasnt done and I had to come back.Overall I would still suggest her because she did a good job on my dress...but be prepared for delays and the possibility of her being unprepared...bring your patience lol

Terrific job tailoring suits with minimal time notice. Very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

OMG where to start? This lady was so lovely! I took my dress a couple of places because my wedding dress is too dress was too small. They all said that it wasnt possible to let it out enough. When I came into the sewing shopp the seamstress listened to everything I wanted and told me she could definitely do what I wanted. I am so happy she is my new favorite person in the world. If you need a seamstress with a can do attitude, Linda is your girl!!!!

SO DISAPPOINTED! Was 15 minutes early for my appointment then she complained and was not ready for me. My wedding dress was suppose to be done at 11am didn’t get done until 5:30pm! I’m from out of town so I had to stay in spoKane all day waiting. She Called me to tell me my dress was done at 5:30 I was on my way to get it. She then called at 5:50 and was so rude on the phone to tell me that she was closed and wanted to go home. Very disappointed with my experience. I would of liked to have been home in the afternoon, had my dress been done on time I would have been. TO TOP IT ALL OFF, the dress is soooo tight that in order to be comfortable in it going to have to be very strict with my diet and lose a few pounds. I do not recommend this place at all.

I love this place. The work is good, affordable, finished in a timely manner, and the people are kind. What more could you ask for?

Keep searching and go elsewhere!!! If ZERO stars were an option, thats what I would rate this business. She was great during the first fitting of my daughters WEDDING DRESS. It was downhill from there. We paid $100 at the first fitting. Went back for the 2nd fitting paid another $100. We were told at 2nd fitting that she would try it on when she picked it up, When she got there was told no, she was just taking the dress. I then took the dress to be steamed the week of the wedding. They called me from where it was being steamed and said, we did the best we could but with so many alteration pins and safety pins it was difficult. i went to get the dress only to find out that the alterations i paid $200 for had NOT been done!!! I had to take it back to the sewing shop and have it done while i waited. This is on Thursday before the Saturday wedding! My daughter put the dress on the day of her wedding only to find out that the beading around the waistline had not been reattached, and the alterations had not been done properly. The dress would not stay up! Not a pleasant wedding day memory!

I took two pairs of pants in to be shortened. Staight forward hemming was told ten days to two weeks. This is fine with me. No one calls after two weeks so I haul my body, bad foot and all, up those stairs only to find out it would be Thursday or Friday of last week. Never heard a word. I placed a phone call today and received no answer or return call. It is now more than 3 weeks. I may have to retrieve my pants and take them somewhere else . I do not want to climb those stairs again and not get my Pants!
