I had blonde highlights and a haircut done by Sonia Pratt at 56 west salon. This was my first time going to Sonia. My regular hair stylist that I have been using for the past 9 years has been sick for a few weeks. Its always nerve wracking to use a new hair stylist because everyone has different needs but Sonia was amazing. She did a great job on my hair and asked me what I regular got done to my hair so I could feel comfortable with my highlights. She was professional, nice, and definitely knows how to do hair!! Thank you Sonia Pratt, my looks awesome!!

First time here today, it was great! Called to see if they accepted walk-ins and they were able to get me appointment same day, which was awesome! The woman who helped me, Kamryn, was super sweet and patient with my indecisive self. She was very sweet to make sure I liked it and to ask my honest opinion. Ended up going with regular french tip and she did great! Its easy to find, its in a house, parking is behind the house, and just walk in through the back door. Price was very fair! Will definitely come back and would recommend! Grateful for their service.

Karsyn (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) did my lash extensions and I am so pleased with how they turned out. I have already received so may compliments on how well they look. Breea did my hair for the first time today! I went in with a few pic in mind and told her to help me know what was best for my face shape, skin complexion, and thin hair. She did a WONDERFUL job!

I initially booked an apt for today at 10am. I emailed them 24 hours in advance letting them know I couldn’t make it. They called and texted me today saying I owe them $35 for a no show. When I called them back to inform them I had emailed them that I would be cancelling... they weren’t that professional and you could tell they just seem inconvenienced by me. Even tho I had gave them 24 hours notice they still tried to charge me!! I know mistakes happen and I understand that. But I don’t like them trying to make me feel bad and pay for “ no showing” when that wasn’t the case at all. Don’t have a company email if you’re not going to check it.

Bailee did a great job on my hair and color! Emily was wonderful with my daughters. They have very different hair and she did a great job on both of them! One has thick wavy hair and the other has fine! The rest of the staff is super friendly too.5 stars all around!

I got my lashes done here with Vanessa! They look fabulous. Pricing was great! Vanessa is seriously the nicest person! I will be a regular for sure!She cares so much about making you comfortable and taking the time to make you feel beautiful.Major perk about this Salon is the comfy recliners that they do lashes in!!Another perk is that the owner is there and is clearly working so hard to make sure all the clients are happy and comfortable. I went in for a full set of acrylic nails left with unfiled nails that looked like shed never done them before I am a cosmetologist and I know she was taught better horrible nails do not go here. It was my birthday and I left with terrible nails ended up having a coworker fix my birthday surprise and they all ended up popping off.

Ive been here before for hair appointments a few times and they were always so kind and informative. They made sure I loved it before I left. Recently I went in for a lash appointment and was a little nervous because I have always gone to places that just do lashes. However, Jentri did such a good job and was super kind. Chairs are very cozy and I even fell asleep haha. Will definitely be back.

I came in to get a Brazilian wax so I would be smooth for my wedding on Saturday. I made sure not to shave or trim my hair so it was proper length for the wax treatment to work effectively. I got there and Tiffany was very nice and sweet but she ended up trimming my hair and in some spots trimmed it to short so the wax could not adhere. I ended up with a patchy wax job and when I asked about the extra hair she said to shave it or tweeze it. I was quite frustrated for spending $60 and leaving with hair still there.

I always look forward to my appointments at 56 West Salon and Day Spa! Not only do they make me look my best but the atmosphere there is fun and uplifting. From the minute I walk in the door I am greeted by smiling people who apparently were all genuinely happy to come to work that day. Everyone is friendly and there is a relaxed vibe that is sometimes just what I need for my day.I have never been disappointed with any of the treatments I have received at 56 West Salon. I love the magic Camille does with my hair. She really listens to me when I tell her what result Im hoping for and then, because she is a professional, she makes suggestions that I either didnt think of or didnt think were possible. Went in for a lash lift and when it was finished, it looked like nothing had been done. I have gotten lash lifts for a full year, and have never had them turn out looking so poorly. Unfortunate waste of money.

Really fun and cute! My sister brought me here so we could get pedicures together. Love the location and the great service. The two ladies that pedicured us were kind and respectful, but most importantly - great at their jobs! We were totally relaxed and pampered. They have great selection of polish colors too!

I was told over and over by the receptionist that they have the best girl who does blond highlights. I was worried because I have had numerous encounters with salons who have left me utterly disappointed with my results. After a few hours and big $$$ I left with pretty much the same color I walked in with. By the time I got to my car my hair was so full of static I had to gather it in a pony tail to shut my door. My hair was fried. Never ever again.

Super friendly and definitely feel comfortable when I walk in and walk out. I’ve gotten my hair done and nails done now and can say I’ll be back in a few weeks! Bree is pretty awesome and knows her stuff! Just like everyone else there! You can’t go wrong!

** UPDATE** 4/29/19 I REPORTED THEM TO THE BBB. WORST $75 I EVER SPENT. I went somewhere else to get my hair fixed with no problems. They couldnt believe that it had been less than a month and my hair looked so awful. Now, my hair looks amazing and Im so happy with how it turned out. DO NOT GO TO 56 WEST SALON AND SPA IF YOU CAN HELP IT! Save yourself the time and money.4/5/19 I had my hair dyed dark purple from a medium brown. I felt like the gal rushed through it. I was glad that she fit me in, though. Waited 3 days to wash my hair and it all washed out, except for the roots. I use good shampoo and baby my hair. I immediately called and went back in to meet with my stylist to show her (another stylist looked at my hair offering suggestions) and made an appointment to have it redone. I already had an appointment with her for 5/17/19 and she asked if I wanted to get in sooner. Obviously I did. She told me she couldnt get me in until the next thurs (a week and a half later)4/25/19. I had no choice, but to take the appointment as she said she had nothing sooner. I was told by the manager it was my fault because of my hair. Being too healthy, too damaged, too whatever. She also said I should be happy because at least my roots got colored. I Feel like theyve given me the run-around. Still have yet to have my hair redone. I was told I would have to pay to have it redone. I cancelled my appointment and asked to speak with the manager, but I was told she was out of town. Said manager would call me back on Monday, but I ended calling her. I am not pleased and regret going here at all. They said they tried to accommodate me, but I feel all they did was contradict themselves and blame me. Poor business practice if you ask me. I have a jacked up arm that was in a sling at the time or I would have just done it myself. The way she was treating me was completely unacceptable. I told her I would call her back so she could figure out what she wanted to do.

My daughter had her nails done by Amy and was in pain the whole time. Her nails were burning while she was using the dremel but the worst was she cut her several times with the dremel . After she left the apt. her nails were really swollen and irritated. I would recommend the nail technicians may attention to detail to ensure they arent cutting their clients or causing them discomfort. My daughter has been having her nails done for years and never had such an uncomfortable experience.

The lady who did my nails was super sweet and gentle when it came to filing she kept asking to make sure that my nails looked how I wanted them and make sure that she wasnt filing it too low to where it started to hurt, she had a pleasant conversation with me instead of just having me sit there in silence like most places do, I dont know about you but I enjoy a nice conversation. in the end my nails are great my fingers do not hurt like some places Ive gone to and in the end my fingers hurt because they werent being careful enough when it came to filing. I would highly recommend going to this place their customer service is fantastic their workers are so nice I definitely will be going back.

I am specifically writing to review Ashlee Haws who is a stylist at the salon. Ashlee pays so much attention to detail, no matter if its the first time you visit or the tenth. You never walk away disappointed, because she makes sure she does the very best job every time. Her lash fills are absolutely beautiful and still look good even when its time to get a refill. When you need your hair cut and styled, she listens to what you want and does exactly that. If salon services are a splurge for you, you will always feel like you got your moneys worth if you book with Ashlee. Plus, shes hilarious and very personable!

They were very kind, and the store was very clean. But the girl I had gave no massage at all! That was the first time Ive never had an (hand/arm) massage after a manicure. I was pretty disappointed with that. No hot towels, no arm massage, and I paid a little more than I would have at a different salon and got less. If they would change over to a massage manicure, I may go back. But if Im going to pay for a manicure, Id rather get the full deal.

I now have hair that is yellow not platinum at the roots. And in certain light it has a pink tint.For what this place charges I should have come out with better then expected not wanting to shave my head.I shouldn’t even give them a 1 star. Would not recommend to anyone!!!!!!!

I have had a massage from Jodi many times, and I love her! I have had chronic back pain for many years, and Jodis massages help loosen me up and help me feel better. She has also given me stretches I can do at home to help. She is professional and pleasant, and I would definitely recommend her!

Worst Pedicure I had. Me and my girlfriend went to have a pedi for my birthday. Chairs were uncomfortable and old . No.massage chairs like in other spas. The tubs they use to wash your feet look like old buckets. The ladies that did both of our feet were nice but the work painting our nails was bad. Some of the nail polish seem old and they had a hard time even putting the finishing coats. By the next day our nails were looking bad. They charge us $40 per each service for sure not worth that price. I wouldnt recommend pedicures at all there. I never do reviews but I feel the service was so poor that people need to be aware of.

I went to get a manicure. I purchased the Ultimate package for a surprise trip. I had a cute gal. But it was Clear she had not done nails by the time I left. She did not cut or trim or push the cuticles back. Put some gloves in my hands and tore the tips of to paint them. She didn’t paint the whole nail and the gloves kept slipping down to the base of the nail and ruining the polish. She put nail drops in to help the nail dry quickly but she would touch the nail and leave a spot. She realized when she was done ... I spoke to the manager and she said “well when you schedule last minute that’s what you get” . And my response is don’t schedule people and charge them the same as you said “one of your experience tech’s”. I wish I could attach a picture ! My biggest complaint was the attitude of the MANAGER ... not the inexperienced very sweet nail gal. Btw- I paid 50 bucks. I think the gal used gel polish as it is slides off 2 hours later .:(

My wife got her hair colored late last week and then scheduled to get a Brazilian blowout at this salon on Tuesday. My wife was so happy with her color and the way her hair looked going into the brazilian blowout on Tuesday. They tried a new treatment and it stripped the color from her hair. My wife now is scheduled to go get her hair fixed at the salon she normally goes to and requested for 56 west to compensate for her having to fix her hair. You can see the review below for more details.To the owner who responded to her complaint and to the complaints of everyone else. You keep saying I stand behind my work 100%. Why not listen to your clients and stand behind them 100%. This will help your business bottom line in the long run! My wife was not being unreasonable by requesting to be compensate for having to fix the mistake you made.Let me do some math for you so you can figure it out. My wife went to your salon for years and would have continued to go here had you just apologized and taken care of her. Each time she would go here it would cost her $250, every twot weeks. Thats a little over $1000 a year. She asked you to fix it by paying for half the cost for her to get it fixed which was $215. Now because you stand behind your work 100% rather than standing behind the client 100% youre missing out on $1000 a year because you wont pay $215 to fix this. Its very very simple math. But you react to all complaints in a way that never validates the client and just dismisses it by saying you stand behind it. Im sure there are a lot of happy clients here, (my wife was one of them) but if you decide to go to this salon, just pray nothing goes wrong because you are not going to backed by the owner. I dont want anyone to be fired or for you to lose business. I just wanted to give you advice on how to handle handle a complaint and successfully address the concern so that you can retain the client for future business. This will help you grow and get more positive reviews. The customer isnt always right, but the customer does deserve to be validated.

I showed the girl a picture of my hair previously that I wanted done, and 3.5 hours later and $140 later I could barely even notice a difference. A couple blonde streaks here and there, but not the change I wanted. When no one even notices that you got your hair done, you know it wasnt done right.

I called a day ahead to book an appointment for nails, the girl was doing my nails took forever!!!! ... I had somewhere I needed to be! 3 hrs later she was finally done but my nails was not looking right the gel paint came off and she didn’t really file my nails down so it was very disappointed. I’ve been there 3 hrs I wanted to leave. She asked me if I wanted to book for fill in, I replied no thanks! I’m sorry I was very disappointed with my experience. And I don’t think I want to be a regular customer here!

I had lashes on already and needed a fill. Asked the tech to do the same length and size. She did not. When I commented on them not being what I wanted she said the best thing would be to come back in a week and she might be able to give me a discount.Then had my hair done. I love the cut but the girl didn’t even fully dry it and did not put even a trace amount of product in it or a drop of hairspray. So much for the cut and style.Then I ended my day with a spray tan. I was most excited and nervous for this. The girl was great and made me feel very at ease. I was so comfortable with her that day I booked another treatment I have always wanted to try but never had the guts. At the end of my visit I was asking questions about a color and hair extensions. A fair amountof time was taken to answer all my questions and I left very excited to come back. I paid for my services, booked more and tipped nicely. I even gave the tanning specialist extra because I felt like she was so great. I waited the proper amount of time to shower but after getting out of the shower that tan was extremely uneven. I called and asked if I could schedule a touch up and how much it would be. They told me that they would love the chance to make it right and I would not be charged. I came back in the next day. The same girl that did my original tan did my second one. She seemed very upset to be doing it and I reassured her that she was great and it was probably a fluke. I even ended up apologizing to her!! I asked what would cause it to be so spotty. I asked if having put lotion on the morning before my 4:00 tan could cause it and she said possibly. I knew I only had put lotion on my face that morning and that wasn’t it but tried to ease a tense situation. Then she recommend a lotion I could use. I went up to buy the lotion and pay another tip and she charged me for the tan. It was discounted but I was so taken aback I didn’t know what to say and felt so bad I just paid it, bought the lotion, tipped again then left. After I got home I called and asked to speak with the coordinator. She told me that I had told the specialist that I had applied lotion before washing off the tan so it was my fault and that’s why she charged me. I told her what i had said and why and instead of giving me my money back she offered to credit some towards a future service. No way. They lost a very good client and $200 later I learned an expensive lesson.**edit in response to owner comment**Had I been offered a refund I would gladly have taken it. I was not. I was offered credit and knew I would not be back. I also have receipts totaling over $176, plus large cash tips. Just because I am not cheap and a generous tipper doesn’t make me a liar 😂 maybe your time could be better spent putting this energy into talking with your staff not arguing with your customers and trying to prove them wrong.

I had a really good experience at 56 west salon today. I got a purple to blonde Ombre root melt and it is so pretty! And the lady that did my daughters hair was very patient, my daughter didn’t end up liking it so she corrected and now she loves it. I would highly recommend, they also do eye las extensions, waxing, nails and so much more.

I got my nails done here with a younger girl. Needless to say I went home and did a better job myself! You could see through the gel coat and she left my nails unfiled so the edges of them were rough. Im sure she meant well but she needs more experience. If I do go back Ill ask for someone else ! Not Kamryn .....
