The staff was super welcoming and kind! They are able to fit your schedule and even get emergency appointments if needed! On my way home my drip tray came unlatched from the bottom of my car and they were able to fix it no problem! Super fast, competent and overall great experience!

Ocean Street Auto is awesome! My car sounded like it was on its last wheels but Trapper listened to my concerns and explained all the details of my cars suspension issues. I felt very well informed and comfortable with what needed to be done. The repairs were done expertly and the turnaround time was wicked fast! My car now sounds nice and smooth again with plenty of miles to go. Local repair shops for the win!

I just had my first experience with Ocean Street Auto. For starters, they answered their phone which is becoming a rarity it todays business world. I had a check engine light on my car and they were able to spare someone to diagnose it same day. The problem was minor, they cleared the code, and charged a reasonable fee for their time. They were able to do this despite having all bays full and all mechanics working which I greatly appreciate. Also, bonus points for having an adorable dog on-site.

I still cant get over my experience. I called at 11:30am for a broken power window and I was driving away with a fixed power window at 4:30pm. The best availability I got from other places was 4 days, just to diagnose the problem. Ted is the best.

My repair was done in a timely way and I appreciated that they were familiar with the part and had it in stock. I was very impressed that they took care of it before they said it would be done!

Went to get my AC compressor replaced for my Kia Optima. Brough them the part, they fixed it at a VERY fair price. There was an issue on their end when I picked up my vehicle. I had gone to another mechanics.. Bernies in Westbrook. They did a lazy job on my car.. A month later the same issue happened to my car... I had my car towed to Ocean Street Auto to find out that the other mechanic should have done it right from the start... He was very knowledgeable about the issue and fixed it no problem.. I drove over, he gave me his opinion and I had him order the part I needed. The part came in on a Friday, I dropped my truck off that morning, and it was ready to be picked up the following Monday. I noticed something hanging from the underneath of my car when I got out of work one day; driving over an hour to get home I wanted to get this checked out ASAP. Three other garage is told me they couldn’t get me in while Ocean Street said come right over and I was in and out within five minutes.

I have been here a few times now . Usually I go to a shop and find one or two things I like but they lack a quality . I think These guys cover it all: they known cars, they communicate well, they tell you what they are doing and will gladly explain it and they are awesome guys. Very quick to fix my car. I had a problem with my engine (cylinder misfiring) and they only took about 2-3 hours to fix it that day. All of them were very professional and nice. They answered all of my questions and didn’t neglect any details. They also checked the rest of my car for any other problems. Very thorough and effective service.

Ted and the rest of the Ocean Street team were fantastic! I was in Portland (from upstate NY) on a business trip when my car started making a strange noise. I called the closest shop and Ted told me to come right in. They fit me in THAT DAY and completed the work within a couple hours so I could return home safely the next morning. If they weren’t 7 hours away I would get all my work done here.

The only thing that did work out that morning was that my car decided the time to not want to go much further was right near this place.They took my car in, despite no appointment and clearly a busy day for them. They gave me a ride to work and got to work on my car.Thankfully they were able to got my car back on the road by days end. I found the team there to be very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. They never talked down to me or tried be anything but upfront and clear on what was going on. They will now be the place I always go.

Ted fixes autos on Long Island where we had a 2000 Jeep sitting there for years. Ted got it started and bought it to his South Portland shop, where he fixed what was needed to get it inspected and back in service. Very grateful.

These guys are amazing!5pm on a rainy, slushy day I pulled in with Mass plates, and a strange whining when turning the wheelThey stopped what they were doing, asked me a few questions, looked at the car right away. The guy popped the hood put in some steering fluid and fixed the problem. He said come back if it happens again.I asked what the charge was, he said nothing . That was easy. They could have told me cv joints or some other major thing, they could have charged me a walk in service fee- they did not .Honest, efficient, professional !

Went in for inspection, was told it needed complete rear brake job. Told them I just had all 4 brakes done 5,000 miles ago. They said I was mistaken and they could do the job tomorrow. I quickly returned to the dealership that did the brake job. They immediately put it on a lift and inspected the rear brakes while I was present. They was 75-80% left on the pads and the rotors were fine. I was told Ocean St. Auto LIAD. They tried to rip me off . Considering contacting the attorney General office.

I went there because I was desperate, I had a really nasty grinding/ rattling sound coming from the front of my car. They told me the noise was coming from the rear and that I needed rear brakes. I thought it was wrong but I trusted them because theyre the pros. Turns out they missed the fact that my drive shaft was snapped and sent me on my way from South Portland ME to Worcester MA with an unsafe car. They basically stole $300 from me repairing a car that cant be driven. Crooks or idiots

Never used to be this way until about 1-2 years ago. Sad to see a local business treat locals like this. I work in the car parts industry. And would suggest to any of you to go else where!

Ripped me off almost a grand and did nothing but spark plugs and coils. Kept it for WEEKS saying ”yep I’ll fix it today blah blah blah ” never fixed it. One guy is very kind but the rest are crooks. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere.
