Was looking for a new garage to service our 6 motorcycles, so when one of the bikes died, I asked my son to run the battery in to see if it needed to be replaced and they told him it would take them 3 days to throw it on a multimeter & if he wanted to check it, he should go to NAPA...while 3 guys sat in the bay on their phones. Very disappointed.

Friendly and informative service with decades of automotive experience. This is the only service station I will bring my car to!

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!On June 30, 2017 I had my 2006 Volvo S60 towed here, and on July 25, 2017, after being told my car had been fixed twice, unsuccessfully, they finally admitted they have NO IDEA whats wrong with my car and suggested I have it towed elsewhere...These are people who claim they are Volvo experts -- but after speaking to several members of the service team at Portland Volvo, its clear Johns Service are NOT Volvo experts, not even close!The customer service, or lack of, is appalling! Messages left on their answering machine were ignored, return calls promised and never made, the owner laughed at me and told me I didnt even pay a lot of money! This garage doesnt understand how to communicate with their customers.I have been without a car for a over a month, without so much as an apology from them. When I expressed my frustration at the lack of concern or care for leaving me without a car for a month I was met with a Yeah, that sucks! How unprofessional can a business be?!I paid this place several hundred dollars for parts (that were likely not even needed) and services which were not completed. I will be taking them to small claims court to get my money back as my car is in the exact same condition as it was before I foolishly let these people work on it. And now Im being forced to take it somewhere else and pay someone else to actually fix it.SAVE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!

Pat and Patrick do great work here. They dont try to give you any bs about your repairs.

The mechanics here do the job exactly the way it should be done and wont try to sell you a bunch of lies, they charge a fair price for much better work than you will get anywhere else.

Its always hit or miss with a garage. I feel the other folks who wrote negative reviews b/c at some point or another weve all been seemingly ripped off. The thing is, labor time is expensive, and thats why you take your car to a garage instead of doing the time yourself.Ive only had positive experience with these guys. Theyve worked on 3 different cars of mine. Ive only had one pretty major job, of which I price shopped, and these guys landed on the right price point for the job. Friendly group of guys, responsive, and timely. Theyve even got loaner cars, which most garages of this size dont offer. 5 stars in my book until they prove me wrong.

I have been a customer here for years..IFind them to be very honest and do great work.

All the work I have had done, including a visit last month, has been done well. Brakes, tie rod, and 2 new tires for less than the dealer and competitive with other reputable garages. Johns provides a shuttle service as well. Ive taken 4 cars there and will continue.

Dishonest. Untrustworthy. Terrible people that will rip you off with a smile on their faces. Tried to sell me on $1800 worth of transmission work that only needed a $50 part and 0.5 hour of shop time - I checked the check engine code.Replaced the radiator because it was leaking. New radiator leaks.Replaced a windshield wiper motor only to have it fail two months later in a storm!Save yourself a headache and find another mechanic. The guys have no idea what they are doing.
