Always a great workout!I love the classes when I dont want to think about what to do. Someone is always cleaning the facility and there is plenty of sanitizing wipes around to wipe down the machines. I only wish the Kid Care was open at all locations

At first blush it seems to have everything, but when you start interacting with the machines you realize that it’s not the best gym. I tried 4 bikes out on the floor and all of them were broken in some sort of way. There are some good machines, but this gym can get crowded. There is also a pool and sauna.

The only reason this Gym deserves a star is because its close to home. Apart from that, its evident the only thing they buy or invest in are signs that their equipment is broken. It isnt just inconvenient, Its bordering on dangerous, Ive been on treadmills that come to an abrupt stop on a couple occasions. If they were to rotate in some of the treadmills that have been side-lined from Covid, they could get more equipment up and running but as of now, its often impossible to find equipment to exercise on.The team that works here is pretty good but busted equipment, not enough plates in the weight area and just how run-down the place has become is enough Im looking to go elsewhere; even if its a longer drive.

South Jordan Vasa has always been clean and organized and the equipment is well maintained. I’ve never had a problem with the staff and they have been helpful if I’ve ever had a question or issue. The free weight and machine areas are laid out nicely to minimize congestion and make finding the needed equipment easier. It is probably my favorite location.

Been going to this VASA for over a year, and Im very impressed. The gym atmosphere is always well kept and clean. The people generally seem so nice and its an encouraging and motivating environment. I dont feel judged when I workout. Theres plenty of equipment. My only complaint is not enough good mats, so I bought my own. Other than that, no complaints from me! Also the staff is so kind!!I recently started attending classes with Kimberly and they are THE BEST! The way she lays out her classes are so easy to follow, and for uncoordinated persons like me, it makes all the difference having her as the coach.

I like the gym. They have a nice pool and if you time it right not a lot of people are in there. The only reason that I dont give it five stars if he cuz when I went into their little side store to grab an energy drink the cashier spent like 10 minutes talking to one dude while I was standing in line. The cashier saw me and continue to talk to the customer in front of me about personal issues. I ended up just putting the drink back and leaving. Besides the store I have had nothing but good experiences there

I recently had an issue where I couldnt attend VASA during Covid. I had to talk to the people at VASAs corporate office, but they worked with me and helped me get my membership renewed. I appreciate the help. Its a nice gym.

I use a fitness pass through my work (Tivity) and at first, without even trying, the kid at the front desk told me that Id probably have to come back when the manager was there but he was finally able to figure it out and get me set up in the system. I didnt give 5 stars because when I asked for a tour, he told me he had to take a call (his cell phone was ringing) another kid quickly offered the tour in his place.

One of the worst experiences one could have. My wife used to work out here and then stopped back in early 2021. She was tied up with school, moving to a different state and being pregnant. A lot going on. With all that Vasa kept billing her even though they knew her last time in the gym was months ago. Later we started getting calls from collection agencies that she owed practically 10 months of payments. Can you believe it, a collection agency on a month month contract? You are signing your life away with Vasa if you forget to officially cancel with them. On top of that their staff turned a blind eye and did not even help when we asked for the fees to be waived. How can a company ethically and morally run like this when they can’t empathize with someone who has been using their facilities for many years? Overall my husband and I were happy with this gym compared to other Vasa locations, HOWEVER, they have yet to open up their Kid Care which makes it very difficult for couples with children to get a set gym routine. Many other gyms and facilities in the area have figured out a way to safely open up their child care and ultimately this is the reason we left. I hope they open up again soon as Im sure we are not the only family struggling with not having a child care option available.

Dude, can’t believe this, there is nothing specially wrong with the facilities but Jesus Christ how hard it is to just unsubscribe from them! Tried to do it a year ago and after unsubscribing they still charged me 3 more months and since I cancelled the credit card I was using for this they also charged me a penalty for late fee for a subscription I already cancelled! After all that AND HAVING TO PAID THE 3 MONTHS I DIDNT USE AND THE LATE FEE, a year later I haven’t come back to Vasa and once again I have a charge on another CC for the monthly subscription;) save yourself some trouble. They are a plague. Oh, also, the phone number you need to call only work Monday - Thursday if you are curious :)

Just moved to Utah two weeks ago, some locals recommended Vasa & I can see why! Great staff, excellent equipment with plenty of space and tons of amenities. I don’t see myself leaving this gym as long as I reside in SLC!

Not too shabby. I think this location was recently remodeled and expanded. Some of the machines were a little dirty, it would be nice to see the whole place a little cleaner.When you go for your first time expect for them to pester you into scheduling a free half hour fitness test with a trainer no matter how many times you decline.

Machines stay broken for MONTHS on end. One AB machine (see photos) has been broken since at least December. FIX your equipment VASA! Also, the support staff for customer service is awful. Young, rude and incompetent. I requested to suspend my membership by email for the following month they cancelled it immediately and tried to charge a suspend fee. When I asked to see my contract and where it said they could do that, they removed the fee.and in case management to wants to respond they can’t find me in their system (tactic they use often to defer blame) my name has been changed for obvious reasons, but I’ve been a member for YEARS, soon to end!

Overall Vasa is a good gym. Nice facilities and friendly staff. It can be busy in the mornings, lunch, afternoons and evenings... Ive heard horror stories of individuals dealing with fees and extra charges to sign up and cancel memberships, but Im lucky enough to get the membership for a discount through my employer and avoid that. Overall I like Vasa and its my gym of choice.

Glad to have a gym close by, but I have to speak my mind. The facilities are not the cleanest. There is a lack of wipes to clean the equipment. The bathrooms are disgusting! And people park illegally all around the building where it clearly says no parking. The employees are friendly but it doesnt seem like much gets done.

I have never been to a gym as busy is this one is. Even during the day on weekdays. And on the weekend good luck getting on machines or getting to the weights you were wanting to use! Aside from how crazy busy it is, its a nice, clean facility.

I went to Vasa Fitness South Jordan today. It was recently remodeled and expanded within the last six months. Its been awhile since I was here. What I found was frustrating. I pay $20 a month and every quarter an additional gym improvement fee of $50. As far as my knowledge goes, everyone pays this extra fee. I think that fee is being used for something else. What I found was 19 different things that are broken or missing. Now these things have not been broken for a few days or weeks. Instead, they have been broken for months!!! MONTHS! There is one seated calf machine and its been broken since before the remodel. Some of the dumbells are loose and WILL fall apart... on someones head. There arent enough barbells for the number of bench presses. The shower curtain in the mens locker room is in worse shape then one that has been trashed. This is ridiculous and 100% unacceptable and the manager is completely to blame. These next to be fixed and promptly. Im not the only that feels this way. As I was taking these pictures other patrons were commending the action and helping me find the equipment. Take care of it! #vasa #vasafitness

I like the variety of studio classes offered and the quality of the instructors. I have been a member since the first of January 2021. My post is regarding the general shabbiness of the center. The water bottle filling mechanism has been out of order for more than 2 weeks! As have several of the machines. The rest room is not well kept, which is disconcerting, e.g., no paper in stalls, debris on floors, etc. I recognize that these are difficult times. Why open a new facility in Herriman when you cannot maintain the one in South Jordan. I want to like this place. Please take more care to it. Right now, I just want to get in and out - very dissapointing and depresssing.Seriously, what is the matter that you cannot take care of things? Take notice - you are failing.Since this review and the response, I have been back to this VASA location. I doubt very much my comments had any effect, but I am very pleased to note in my visit today, that the water bottle ficture has been repaired, i saw a gentlemen replacing lights in tanning room 1 (previously out of order), and more importantly or significantly, in my confidence, I witnessed an employee deepcleaning machines. I thanked him and thank you also to this VASA location. I feel much more positive about my membership.

I absolutely love this VASA and the kids care is AMAZING!! My kiddos love going every day. It is clean. Well organized. Great people watching my babies. They have so much fun and do something new every day. I will forever come to this South Jordan VASA specifically because the kids care is bomb. I can work out knowing my kids are having a good time and getting good social interaction. Highly recommend!

Working out alone is hard! COVID has helped me realize that. I was so thankful to go back to vasa! They are probably one of the most adorable gyms for what you get. I love all their classes! I literally do something a little different each day; from weights to high fitness, pilates, cardio jam, yoga, literally everything you could want with multiple times for each class, so no matter week you want to work out there is something there. I love changing things up with free weights, machines, swimming, cardio cinema and open spaces. The staff are nice, the teachers are so motivational and high energy! They also have so many locations so no matter where your day takes you, there is a gym near by! You dont be disappointed with your vasa gym pass! It is really helping me work the baby weight off!

I’ve been going to this facility for a couple years now. The past few weeks you would not know there is a pandemic happening. The ellipticals no longer have social distance signs and people immediately take their masks off the moment they walk in the door. Not to mention there are WAY too many people in the gym at one time. I asked about the signs and the staff was clueless. Why do we even bother making reservations if the amount of people isn’t limited? I’ll be looking for a different gym that takes covid more seriously.

Way to follow any kind of rules during a pandemic. 1) you are letting in way more people than you should without reservations. 2) no one is socially distance because of that. 3) no one wears masks 4) no one wipes anything down. Its always 5:00 somewhere. Its here. This place is always rush hour busy, no matter what time you go. Its busier than it ever was pre-pandemic. The equipment is reliably broken, and takes forever to fix. When it is fixed, it is usually broken again within a few days. Its disappointing to see. This VASA used to be great. Now most of the time you are lucky to get a cardio or weight machine.Broken - many cardio machines (not including the off ones for distancing), bathroom stalls, weight machines, the steam room, the hot tub, the projector in the cardio cinema is hit and missOne redeeming quality is that the staff is always very friendly and welcoming.

If you are looking to do business with a Company with character...RUN!!! I originally had a membership with Golds gym and the location was purchased by VASA years ago. in 2016 I cancelled my membership both in person and via email. I was on a $12/month...month to month membership. 3 months later I was sent a bill from Paramount acceptance Corporation (there billing company) saying I owed $114 or I would be sent to collections for a membership I cancelled and was no longer using. I reluctantly paid the $114 figuring it wasnt worth the time and CLOSED the account now for a second time. I was just called by VASAs collection Company again 4 years later saying I was just sent over again by VASA in August of 2020 and they have a new account that has been now sent to collections AGAIN!!! I literally have not had an account or stepped foot in a VASA gym in 4 years!!! You call VASA to get information and they cant give you any info on your account. This all over a $12 membership!!! They ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!!!

The facility itself is good. The corporate structure and lack of customer service is extremely poor. Been dealing with a incredibly deceptive billing practice related to personal training. Businesses are required to have a person OPT in to an automatic payment process. This is NOT the case with Vasa Fitness. BE VERY CAREFUL with this company. You can never get a live person at Paramont/Vasa to resolve a problem. Even when they call you I have waited over 45 minutes and still cannot talk with anyone.

A fair gym with plenty of space, but terrible 3rd party outsourced customer service. I sent written cancelation at the beginning of May, and a phone call to cancel and they have not canceled my account or responded to my last two emails. They have proceeded to charge my account 3 more times. I am not under a contract anymore having been with them over 12 months and paid their $70 maintenance fee twice. When I signed up initially they were also very happy to allow me to sign up my wife for a membership (without her being present) but told me on the phone I didn’t have permission to cancel her account (even tho it’s payment is attached to my bank account). I continue to be charged without responses to my emails.

Typical customer service, they only try to make things right after you have a horrible experience and expose the company for the poor customer service.I had no idea I was on a 90 day freeze, so they started charging me again. This craptacular company, doesnt enforce and/or mandate a mask policy to my knowledge. They care about money and nothing else. Hence why Im not going during the pandemic.So I contact them to ask for a refund and a further freeze. Charlie the customer service representative, refuses to refund me. Absolutely does not care I havent scanned into the gym since March. Greedy company wants their measly 10 dollars. So Now Im going to speak with someone over the phone.If no refund is made, I will simply close my entire account. These people are penny wise and pound foolish. Would rather keep my 10 dollars than have me as a paying customer for life.

Vasa used to be a decent gym, I’m so disappointed To see the TERRIBLE JOB this gym is doing to slow down the spread of COVID-19.This location doesn’t do a good job asking its members to wear a mask. Even after Utah governor made it MANDATORY TO WEAR A MASK, You see everyone in this gym just walking around without a mask ! (many of their customers are very young and probably don’t care about spreading the disease) IT IS VASA FITNESS RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE WEARS A MASK . You guys need to be on top of that. several of my family members died of covid, we can’t just ignore the real problem, I understand it’s a business BUT, If you want to stay in business Safety should be your #1 priority right now.I canceled my membership and I do not regret my decision at all .

After freezing my membership, VASA unfroze my membership without my permission and continued to bill me for several months. The company refused to refund me for the months I was billed without my knowledge even though I did not use their gym and never agreed to their updated membership agreement that would allow me to use their gym. The fact that they would take advantage of their customers financially during a pandemic is just horrible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.Update: It has been over 2 weeks since I have left this review, and despite VASA Fitness reply below to get in contact with me ASAP about this issue, no one from this company has attempted to contact me.

DISHONEST AND DECEPTIVE BILLING PRACTICES. STRANGE WAY OF TREATING YOUR CUSTOMERS TO WIN REPEAT BUSINESS. NEVER DOING A GYM MEMBERSHIP AGAIN!!!! I cancelled my membership by phone twice. But they kept charging my bank account afterwards. I had to put a stop payment on my bank account because they wouldnt stop charging us. Then I was sent to collections because I put a stop payment on. When I called the collections agency to tell my side of the story they said I could only cancel in person in writing. This was all happening during the COVID lockdown and they never once told us this had to be done in writing. I had no choice but to pay the inflated charges or my credit would take a hit. Totally dishonest and unprofessional. Vasa gives the industry a bad name.

I love coming to this location because of the staff i have become friends with most of the employees I want to give a shout out to lance Robinson hes an awesome employee and is so kind to everyone. He even got involved in an organization that i told him about called O.U.R. It is an organization that saves children all around the world from human trafficking and hands out wristbands to people at the gym to help spread the word. he is one of the reasons why I love this location. Also Jess is an amazing employee as well!!

The childcare staff has been amazing since day one. I live in sandy and it’s worth the drive to South Jordan mainly because of the childcare staff! I’ve found them to be very hands on with my 12 month old. I get calls if she has a dirty diaper where other gyms didn’t take the time to call me and allowed my child to sit 90 minutes give or take in a dirty diaper. Every time I am done with my workout and walk to the childcare room she is never left alone and always playing with a staff member. My daughter is always excited to get to the gym and I like the fact that South Jordan does not have a big turn around with employees so we get to see and know the same faces 5x a week! I see the staff members cleaning the toys also which is comforting as a mom. I love the fact that they post on Facebook, showing the kids playing and being so active! I will continue to drive the 25 minutes daily to know my daughter is taken care of while I’m working out! I highly recommended South Jordan childcare!!

Just stay away from this business - Ive been a member for many months and was also signed up for group training. With covid and pandemic, I decided to stay away from visiting the gym and had to call many times to keep a freeze on my account. They only have 3 months freeze and unless you call them again, wait on the customer care line for 25 mins, you cant put another freeze. With having multiple discussions on the lady on phone, I ended up cancelling the account for my entire family and it costed me overall $350 for me to cancel the memberships for me and my wife.I can say they were the most untrustworthy business out here in Utah and waiting to make free money out of you. Before you fall into their sales pitches and the sales guys sitting next to the entrance, think again and back out. Never again I will spend a single penny with these crooks.Update : They were quick enough respond to my review saying somebody will call me, but they never did. Also charged close to $400 for the cancellation fees for my group training membership and gym membership.

Im very disappointed with my experience at the South Jordan VASA. I had been a member for a few years and cancelled my membership for the summer while I switched to outdoor sports. I explained to sales rep what I wanted and that I was a returning customer, but he pushed hard to get me to sign up for their highest package even though I had no use for it as I only swim at the gym. After countless attempts to get around this and his promise that the first month would be free then I could just down grade my membership at any time I finally gave in just to be done with his pitch. I have now tried to down grade my plan as promised, but cant without paying a large fee. Be very careful dealing with staff at this location if you are looking to sign up as they are trying to hit a quota of some sort and will say anything to get you to sign up.

The people running things on the inside are fantastic! the equipment is mostly kept up, there are times where several machines are out of order but they tend to get those fixed within about 24-48 hours. The bathrooms are maintained. The locker room is pretty clean.Main gym associates are very friendly and helpful.Only problem I had, was a lack of consideration while trying to get a smoothie. I was patiently waiting as a cashier was helping another gentleman, which was completely fine. The only downfall was that he didnt acknowledge me at all. He simply could have said, mama, Ill be with you in just a moment.... or something along those lines. c I was tired after a hard workout and I wanted to get going. Try to be more engaged with the other guests, communicating with them that way they know you acknowledge them. Moving forward thats just better business etiquette. Im sure the gentleman didnt mean to rub me wrong... Just never know what kind of day your guest (customer) is having. Try to make it great!!!

The Leadership of this location are Amazing! Tea the General Manger does a great job of being an example, not only to her staff, but the members as well and is the definition of uplifting! Rachelle also is a hard worker and has always been willing to help me! Brittany in the kidcare is one of the sweetest girls I have met, she cares so much for the kids, the members and her co workers. Without the leadership of this location it would be a good gym still, but with with them they make it a great environment and and a great gym!

I am writing in behalf of Lance Robinson. I met Lance approximately 2 years ago in the pool at VASA. We were both working out... he was always polite, kind and personable.Since then he has been working for VASA, and he has only gotten MORE kind, polite, and personable! I recently had surgery and was away from the gym for a few weeks, he checked up on me and kept track of me after every workout.I have seen him out front picking up garbage and keeping the facility nice.Recently I was swimming in the pool during the rush hour and not only did he volunteer to share a lane but he also stopped his personal workout to invite people to share the lane with him!!!That is far over and above being a good patron or even employee. Great place to workout! Has lots of great equipment, it’s new, and isn’t terribly busy. The best part is the staff! The general manager does a great job listening and inspiring, not only her staff, but gym goers. The kid care is amazing, all the staff are great, and the kid care manager is the best, she does a fabulous job running the kid care! The front desk is always smiling and willing to help you. I’ve gotten to know many of them and they always go out of their way for me, especially for massage beds, so thank you.Finally there is one individual that really stands out to me. He does a lot of the cleaning of the equipment. Anyone can tell within a minute that he has a mental condition. He is always cheerful, helpful, funny, and kind. He does his job well. For any gym goers that find working out, while he is working, uncomfortable; I’d suggest to them that they overcome their insecurities and egocentric personality by simply talking with him. Getting to know him is the best part about this gym.I highly praise VASA for employing individuals with disabilities. They deserve jobs like the rest of us, and VASA clearly understands this, even if some gym goers do not. So thank VASA for being a leader in helping all of us be the best we can be.

Terrible experience with VASA, and their poor business practices. I had a 10/month membership on autopay, they were unable to charge my card for a few months so they sent me to collections!. Going in to the gym 6 days a week, staff did not notify me once about any outstanding balances. lost my business

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership with Vasa for months now and they make the whole process of getting a hold of anybody IMPOSSIBLE. Yet they have no problem charging your account with no receipt, no contact, customer service is a complete joke. I can’t log in to my account and I can’t get ahold of anybody on the phone. Terrible gym only concerned with feeling their pockets don’t give a damn about the customer.

The gym itself is fine for the most part. Upkeep on equipment is infrequent and the nets on the basketball courts have been messed up for months. They say they have ordered new ones but nothing comes of it.Some of the staff is very unprofessional and tend to not keep appointments. Ive had my time wasted more than once. They promised to schedule me an early morning personal training appointment and when I arrived they never showed up and said I wasnt in the schedule. RIP my sleep time.I wouldnt recommend this gym.

Hate this place and corporation. I have tried to give this a chance a couple of times, as this gym is so close to home. Save yourself the mental and emotional distress, as well as what you can catch from a horribly maintained establishment.You pay for you get. But I firmly believe you will find yourself in a better situation at Planet Fitness or a local recreation center. In my case paying 5 X more at Lifetime for a cleanliness, professionalism, and a much more inclusive environment is well worth the investment.Cons of Vasa:1. Cleanliness. This establishment is not clean. Aesthetically, the weights are always a mess, the bar clips are never to be found, and at least one machine or treadmill is always broken. I have also contracted ring worm from the leg machines. Keep in mind this is the 3rd time I contracted ring worm from a Vasa and not at one location. That is more times than myself or my kids have caught ring worm wrestling since youth through college.2. Customer Service. I had a membership with 24 hour fitness that switched to Vasa. They would not let me switch my main gym to the one next to my home, instead tried to make my home gym in NorthEast Sandy. The customer service team was rude, unapologetic, extremely corporate.3. Gym culture. You will be very frustrated trying to find open equipment. Often you will find people on them talking with each other taking up space, taking selfies. An ecosystem that breeds “Instagramers in the Wild.” Kudos to the individuals working their butts off as you will see many of them as well, but the general times I would attend the gym my experiences was most often not with the latter.

Honest review here. The basketball court is very poorly maintained. The nets on both hoops had been ripped for a couple months so I mentioned that they needed to be fixed. A few weeks went by so I mentioned it again. It ended up taking another couple months before they were finally replaced. The floor is never cleaned and constantly has dust. There are about 4 basketballs that have air in them. You’ll find a rack full of flat basketballs as you walk in.As for the rest of the facility it’s constantly overcrowded. It’s a circus.

I love VASA! Their facilities are pretty big with a lot of equipment but they also have turf where you can do some body weight exercises or stretch. Everything is clean. They have friendly and helpful staff. It’s just a great gym!

I love going to Vasa because of the kid care! However I was very upset with this locations kid care! There was a young girl working when I asked how my son had been she was very rude! Later my nephew informed me the girl had put my 13 month in time out.. when he wouldn’t stay she held him in time out.. but she never told me about that! I will not be returning! I’m highly dissatisfied my 13 month was placed in time out to start with and I was not informed of this!
