Hands down the cleanest gym Ive been to. Phenomenal equipment and staff. Literally was just visiting in town for work and stopped by and was very impressed. I thought the gym had just opened with how clean it was, but they have been open for 6 years.

First off, this is a really large planet fitness, and to be brutally honest, even if this is the closest planet fitness to you, youre better off going to the ones in Sandy, or really any other one.The building is beautiful, and theres a lot of in-built lighting and stuff, but the equipment looks pretty rough. Its pretty obvious that someone put a ton of money into the place, securing a huge building and a ton of machines, but when they finished there wasnt any money left for maintenence.The staff was nice, but I feel like the staff at other locations get more/better training.

The very second I walk in the gym I’m welcomed. Been to this gym 4 or 5 times and I feel like I’ve lived here. The staff is so well trained and so welcoming with the perfect amount of knowledge. You wouldn’t BELIEVE how fast they answer questions! If the employee at the time doesn’t know the answer I’ve seen them call the manager and she picks up and follows them through how to answer the question. I know the staff don’t work out for me or talk me into coming to the gym but, they make it so much more satisfying to be at the gym! I mean WOWW!! Such a great vibe!!! MAD props to management!

The staff of this gym is incredibly hard-working. This is the cleanest gym that you will ever be in.Employees are extremely friendly and do a really good job cleaning.The billing process is really open and there are no hidden fees. Total body enhancement machine is awesome.

Very difficult finding the drive to exercise when there are so many poor quality gyms around. SO glad I found this gym. Cancelled ALL of my other memberships the second I got home from this gym! The staff is so well trained and managed, they answered all of my questions and even helped me learn some of the machines! FIVE STARS

Great gym for all levels of gym goers. Just right mix of machines/equipment that a naive does not feel lost or intimidated and a pro does not feel lack of equipment. Gets busy at peak times but thats expected. Will be awesome if they could add sled push and farmers walk

This gym is awesome! Ive been coming to this location for 3+ years. The The staff are very polite respectful and helpful. I rarely have to pull out my key tag to check in because they always say hello and quickly check me in as I walk in. The Manager, Katie, does an amazing job keeping the place operating well. Ive only heard good things from other gym goers about her. The gym and equipment is almost always clean, orderly, and in good condition. The trainer, Jamie, is also great for anyone new to working out or that wants to train in a class. Overall, I think this gym is amazing value for how inexpensive the membership is!

Ive been to alot of planet finess location around the country and i can honestly say that this is one of the best ones ive been to.

They changed their hours from 24 hours to limited hours on some nights now. Boo. The gym tho has a good App that tells you about how many people are there.

They only bill through the checking account. Why? What a poor business model. Otherwise the staff seems great. Gym is clean and nice.

Very friendly and clean. People are as they say non-judgmental. Not a place for the hard core lifter though. No free barbell benches, all were smith machines. Seemed to be plenty of dumbbells but I sure enjoy a regular bench press, deadlift etc.

I travel a lot .I get to see a lot of Planet Fitness locations and this one had exceptional service. As crowded as it was due to the summer hours they still kept on top of cleanliness and keeping all the weights rack and in order.truck driver friendly if your not connected to a trailer. this location is 30 minutes off of my route but well worth it I will for sure come back other Planet Fitness should use this location as an example.thanks guy!

WARNING!!! Black Card Guests are not welcome at this club. I started going there a few times recently because my work schedule changed. They act like you are trespassing. I was warned there is a limit of 10 times a month, but they had no idea how many I came. I did... and it was not 10. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Suggested I could switch my membership to this club. Not likely if this is how you treat your members. The franchisee is violating the corporate rules if they are going to harass members from different clubs for visiting (which is part of the black card fees). Terrible customer service!Update: I went back to the club a few more times since this incident. I was contacted again about switching my membership since I was using this club. This time I had a nice conversation with several employees who related they are told to do this to all guests by their superiors. I still do not think it is right to do to this, but I appreciated their explanation and honesty. They are basically doing as they are told. I upgraded my star rating because they made me feel welcome by the end of the conversation.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!! I cancelled my membership November of 2019. They still kept charging my account till I put a block on it. They wont cancel my account. Candice threatened to take me to collections if I dont cancel? I TOLD HER I ALREADY CANCELLED.Would love for someone higher up to give me a call before this escalates.

I’m impressed. This gym is clean and well-maintained and very affordable for all the amenities you get. Riley did a great job on introducing me to the gym and going over all the different amenities. I felt very welcome and it wasn’t that busy.

Been going to Planet Fitness for years and what I love about it is the atmosphere, cleanliness of the equipment and the variety of machines and workout equipment that is available. I have been to some other gyms locally and was unimpressed with the workout equipment, options and cleanliness. Highly recommended if you workout by yourself because of the variety of machines that are offered. Try it out!

I only entered the club to obtain information. I was greeted warmly by a friendly Front Desk staff. After I told a staff member I was interested in the club, the Assistant Manager gave me a detailed tour.Her name is Sierra, and during that tour, she excitedly shared details about the fitness club. She took the time to learn about my needs as a potential club member and built a friendly and caring relationship to answer any of my questions to make sure I could clearly see that Planet Fitness was the ideal club for me.Sierra shared how the gym helped her and was curious about my needs in joining. It was as if during the 23 minutes of the guided tour that I was the only customer inside that club for the day.Sierra gave me such an exceptional degree of focus with extraordinary excitement and with a superb friendly attitude that if she wanted to sell me a box of rocks, I would have bought ten of them.I ended up buying the best membership package that Planet Fitness offers. If ever you want to learn about joining any gym, you will receive the best service from the Planet Fitness in South Jordan. Make sure you get a tour from Sierra too.

Very clean and positive atmosphere.Be careful with billing. They require two payment methods. If your first payment method has an issue they will use your second payment method that they request. Be aware that if they have to use your second payment method they will charge a $10 processing fee.When cancelling a membership, you have to cancel 7 days before your pay date. I have a cancellation form showing that I cancelled one day before my bill date. They are going to charge me another month because I did not cancel 7 days in advance.My experience with billing is they will charge a processing fee to use the second form of payment they request, and they will charge another monthly fee if not cancelled 7 days before your scheduled bill date.

This place is so clean which makes working out really nice. They have tons of Tvs, cardio machines, and machines for lifting. The tanning beds are always clean, and hydromassage and massage chairs are awesome! The staff is always friendly and some of them even know us by name. Great place to workout!

Personal trainer with any membership type.Only con is the size (Im used to VASA and its much larger than planet) and lack of some machines I like.

Membership fees coming up, so I got an email about it today, I called into the gym to cancel my membership and was told that I would have had to cancel long before I got the email. I understand they run on the gym membership model but come on, at least give me a small window of chance to cancel instead of emailing me the day of. 10/10 do NOT go here. Terrible communication with customers.

I found the staff to be nice but rude regarding helping my wife and I around. We are black card members from a different franchise and they had us sign in but didnt even offer a tour or point us to the locker rooms at all. Well here is a list of Pros and Cons.Pros:-large gym with plenty of equipment- if locker room with great shower area that is almost private.-black card members spa is kept clean and have a new style tanning bed-clean atmosphereCons:-The dress code (does not say anywhere that shorts have to touch your fingettips?!) Im posting a picture as well with the dresscode on it. We work put at other planet fitness locations and have no problem. The assistant manager interrupted our workout to basically ask us to leave die to this. She also right after accused some old lady of being a personal trainer to her friend when they were only working out together.- 30 minute work out zone is the brightest lit area in the gym and its location is designed so everyone on cardio machines can watch you as well as people outside. Not very friendly putting people on the spot like that. Not too inviting at all. Hence why Im sure very few were using it.-havong to walk farther away to grab a paper towel than you do a cleaner. They should be located in the same spot. Of there is no dispenser there then place one or a roll of towels out.-locker rooms were nice but needed some major TLC in the bathrooms and showers.-machines are too close to each other (not much breathing room) they tried to pack in as many as they could on cardio and other machines near by.- staff just standing around counter when there was like 6 of them up there and the bathrooms wernt checked the whole 2 hours I was there.- parking is very horrible due to surrounding business customers as well. Narrow lot runs and tight turns and no one near daybreak parkway knows how to park or drive.- no thank you for coming in on the way out.This is my personal opinion and not the companys position.

Kandice! This lady deserves to be mentioned. She usnice to everyone Over the last couple years Unless I have my kids I have very little conversations. Im a middle aged man going through hard times and my only thing I get to do for myself is the gym. Having this young lady smile and greet me by my name lifts my spirits everytime. I know its a small thing but I did years if this for others in hotel industry, so nice to see some young adults still have this. All the staff is amazing,. Its always clean, I dont feel like I have to have a shin tattoo or MMA background to workout. Best value of any club, tanning, massage, thanks guys, kinda the Chick Fila of gyms!!!!!

I’ve been a member for a couple of years at this location and I have loved how clean and friendly the staff have been, but as of recent, I’m a little disappointed in the way I’ve been treated by management. I simply asked why the mask mandate and protocols are not being followed anymore and now my friend and I have been targeted by the manager. It seems she would rather us cancel our memberships than address the 90% of patrons that walk around with no masks on. I asked for the franchise owners name and she refused to give it to me so how can something be resolved when the person in charge of this location is unprofessional and is a bully? I just want to workout with my daughter and friend, feel safe and not get sick. I joined because it’s supposed to be a no judgement zone, feeling very judged because I asked a question about a mask mandate that is being ignored. If the owner sees this, I would be happy to have a calm conversation.

This location is very clean. I haven’t had this issue at other locations but they keep the temperature so low that even when I’m working out my hardest, I’m so cold that it’s uncomfortable. They also wouldn’t let me jump rope even though I was off in the corner trying to mind my own business and stay out of other people’s way. When I asked why I wasn’t aloud to jump rope, they said that I wasn’t allowed to “bring in my own equipment” but I haven’t had that issue at any other locations either and I’ve been a member for over 5 years. I also bring in my own barbell pad but no one has ever mentioned me not being able to bring that in.

No longer 24 hours as advertised. Canceling.

This location is staffed by very nice and friendly people. I love the cleanliness of the gym. I will be back again soon!

Edit2(As promised, follow-up with cancellation. Cancellation was very easy, just show up in person and sign a form. That was nice.The staff asked if it was something wrong that caused it but didnt seem prepared for an answer. I mentioned that was a number of things and they just said ok.As you can see by the company response, they didnt really read my review and thats kind of my point.)Edit(changed from 2 to 1 star. Just cant deal with it any more. The selling points that Planet Fitness offered just arent there any more and I feel deceived every time I cant finish a workout. The following things that were selling points that I feel are now lacking (at least at this location, Taylorsville has always been a good experience)Effectively no:-30 minute workout-No lunks-Upholding PF policy (esp. COVID related)-Adequate equipment-Equipment upkeep/safety (didnt mention earlier but a few months ago I found a loose bolt in the mechanism on a machine and notified staff. Nothing was done and the machine was left in use until at least the next day.)The gym is probably 3 stars overall, for cleanliness and amenities, but the lack of service and upholding selling points are enough to change.Vasa opens a new location in 9 days. Ill move. At least with Vasa I know what to expect. Also staff actually tries to help and Im not intentionally limited to certain workouts.In a couple weeks Ill update with cancellation experience.)Growing frustrations. Currently this place isnt what I signed up for, often feeling like a disaster. Talked to staff a bunch of times and the only thing theyve actually done something about is refilling a sanitizer station after I notified them for a week (3 times)Members blatantly disregard COVID policies, removing signs on equipment or even sitting right on the signs. One regular is persistently coughing lately, and front desk staff says yeah thats not right. Later this week Ill see what my manager says about that.There arent enough 45lb plates. Last Saturday a guy had *20 plates* at the leg press (good for him) which left only 4 plates available that I could see. All 4, in use at one smith machine. There should probably be at least another 10 plates but maybe more.I did the 30 minute workout the other day at 5am. *8 people* came in and sat on machines like its their home gym and only chair in the house. 2 of them happened to choose my next station in the circuit. Not one other person did any circuit.I havent finished a full circuit in over a year because of this issue.Heres the thing. I notified staff of all of these things. They tell me theyre either understaffed, theyll check it out, or they say theyll fix/refill but they dont. Its gotten to the point where *Im* asking people in the 30 minute circuit area if they are doing the rotation. Im at the point where Im gonna change gyms. Vasa doesnt have a 30 minute circuit, but apparently neither does Planet Fitness.Oh by the way, Saturday I literally saw a guy working out in boots and jeans. The antithesis of Planet Fitness in their own gym. (But seriously why should I care about that. They were minding their own business)

I go 6 nights a week, the staff is always so friendly and welcoming! I never feel I’m being judged which is a feeling I have felt at other gyms!! Love Planet Fitness and this location!!

Everything I was expecting. Staff was great and helpful.

This place is ok. Not a bad place to go. Variety of machines. Everything in working order. Just some covid things that are annoying. Surely they can have wipes by now. Spraying junky papertowels is obnoxious and less effective. And machines that are more than 6 feet apart are closed for social distancing while others that are closer are not. Just makes working out in pairs annoying.

Great clean gym. The staff was very nice. It appears to be a new planet Fitness and all the equipment was very nice. They also had a leg sled machine. The type you put weights on. I noticed many staff members cleaning throughout my visit.

Incredibly disappointed with Planet Fitness’ billing practice. I showed up on Aug 31 to cancel my membership before Sept 1 (when I knew I would receive the annual maintenance fee). The manager, Katie, informed me that since I didn’t cancel prior to the 25th of August I would be charged the annual maintenance fee anyways (even though the charge hasn’t occurred yet). The email states that the funds will be deducted on or around Sept 1, but nowhere on the email does it say that to avoid the charge, the membership must be cancelled by the 25 of August. I guess it wouldn’t make a difference since they didn’t even send the reminder email until the 28th. Neither I nor my family will be doing business with these guys again.Update (9/14/2020): If this isnt the impression youd like people to leave with, then I suggest being more transparent with your fees and policies. I have now paid an Annual Membership fee despite no longer having an active membership. Im not even sure what to call it, but it certainly isnt honest, and definitely doesnt put the customer first.

My husband told me about his experience with Katie from the South Jordan location. I was happy my husband remained calm after I heard that Katie approached him multiple times interrupting his workout and trying to discipline him. Did you see my husband?? How do you he will react if you tell him to put his bag away and to drop the weights quietly? I was looking forward to start getting back in shape after my pregnancy, but now I am happy that he cancelled both of our memberships. Katie, you should be ashamed of yourself and should be fired!

Locked me into a contract before explaining that there was a contract. They seem to change the rules a lot, brought my brother whos a minor as a guest to a new location and had to have mom or dad there to sign for him. Unimpressed honestly.

I cannot say enough about thIs planet fitness. From the friendly staff to clean work out areas. They have been amazing to work with during the covid19 quarantine. Sending me work out emails was so helpful. When we were able to come back I have seen more than enough employees cleaning equipment and social distancing signs. I have been so grateful that I use them as my gym and will continue to do so while recommending them to others.

Plenty of equipment that is always clean and working, staff seems friendly, and I havent had any bad encounters with any people there.

This location does not follow CDC guidelines or their own guidelines they have each member agree to when entering the gym. They are not cleaning machines or doing their part to stop the spread of Covid-19. The management is extremely unprofessional and when issues are brought up she just says ok and does nothing to address the situation. Do not support this location!

Jamies style is warm and personable. The workouts are always enjoyable because theres plenty of variety and its never boring. Jamie challenges you to achieve your fitness goals with a balanced approach, both pushing you to succeed, yet patient with the process. She listens well to your needs and is both educational and supportive. Thanks Jamie for your efforts.

Great place to work out but goooooood luck making any changes to your contract. Even after buying off the rest of our contracts, our bank account was charged monthly until we filed a stop payment with the bank. Definitely go with the contract free option when working with this company!!!

I hated gyms until I went to planet fitness. I went here for a full year while in college before I had to move. The membership was cheap, the whole place was clean, and not too loud. The front desk was always accommodating and helped me when I lost my membership card multiple times. Also the guest pass was the best because I would never have stepped inside unless my friend brought me in.

Clean, great staff, had nothing but great experiences the last several years of routine workouts.

Valerie who works in the early morning makes this gym 5 stars. Her level of customer service is a rare thing in today’s selfish world. Everyday she will greet you with a smile and will remember your name. I would give her 10 stars if possible. The gym itself is clean and spacious. Nice smooth operating machines and enough free weights for my needs. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in shape.

Katie, the manager at this Planet Fitness is completely crooked and inept. We called back in March to cancel our family memberships due to COVID and were told we needed to come in person. I explained that we would not be coming in person due to the danger. We sent an email to cancel as they requested and we have continued to be charged monthly fees and now our annual membership fees just came out for over $100 for our family!!! I called in again and was told they didnt know what happened, but they dont give refunds! When I asked to speak to their superiors or Corporate, I was told they didnt give that information out! How convenient!!! No worries. I will look it up myself and take this all the way if necessary. These people need a class action lawsuit! My dad is a lawyer and Ive already submitted this to Gephardt! These guys are taking advantage of people during COVID and and completely criminal! They are not going to get away with it this time!!! Horrible staff! Steer clear!!

Love this gym. The staff is very friendly and like that they keep the locker rooms clean. Only complaint is the 30 min express area is never monitored so people go over there and hog one machine when that area isnt for focusing on one machine so I never do that work out if its busy there. Their prices are cheap though so thats why they get 5 stars

I have been coming here for about a year now and really like it. The staff is friendly and aways say hi and goodby every time I have come in. They keep it really clean and have good equipment. The layout of the gym is good so anyone can find what the need really easy. The staff is always helpful and dont just stand around like other clubs. There is plenty of space for parking unless walking more then 10 feet is an issue for you. Go check it out.

I signed up on the $9.99 monthly plan and decided to just try it out for a month. This location is super clean and the equipment is new and works great. I enjoyed using this location for my fitness needs. If I ever end up living in the area again, I will certainly sign up again. They didn’t give me any problems with cancelling either, it was so easy and simple.

Honestly the best planet fitness in the valley. Its a little weak on anything free weight. You have dumbbells up to 75s or so. No free weight bench or squat. Which makes no sense. Seeing as you still have Smith machines for both those exercises. Its a great starter gym! They dont have near enough stair steppers. Your talking 4 to over 40 treadmills.... No row machine either. If your advanced in your lifting or wanting to compete. Go else where.

I love this location, everyone is so friendly and helpful. It is always very clean. Plenty of equipment even at peak times. Parking is decent. And so convenient that sprouts market is right next door.

I have been to several Planet Fitness locations across the country and this is by far the nicest and largest one.

I did my free 24 hour trial to try it out and was very impressed!! The staff gave me a tour and did not once push me to sign up even after my workout. They asked if I had any questions and that was it. This was huge considering another place I did a trial with made me feel like I was at a used car dealership trying to get me to sign up. Was such a relief to experience a good gym with good equipment and not having to be hassled to sign up when I just wanted to experience a workout in a new gym by myself. I wanted to try a few places before making a decision and Planet Fitness was hands down the best. They might not have the extra amenities that Vasa has (pool, basketball court, and racquetball) but the staff and atmosphere is beyond better and made me want to come back.
