The window regulator on my VW Beetle went out leaving my passenger window in the down position. I called the dealership only to be told the part was discontinued and that if I could find it on my own and bring it to them theyd replace it. He went the extra mile and the team there had my window fixed in less time than I thought it would take. Courteous, professional and friendly. Oil change with thorough inspection of tires, belts, brakes, coolant and electrical. All fluids are topped off if needed. The waiting area is comfortable and the rest room is very clean and tidy. All inspections are sent to your phone for review so if your not mechanical you can check and show it to your husband, wife or friend for assurance. They seem very honest. This was my first visit for an oil change. I will return for future oil changes or if there is something I cant handle. Also be sure to go to their website and check for coupons!

They said they wouldnt be able to get me in that day. 20 minutes later, they called me back to say someone was actually going to be freed up.They managed to get me in and repaired that day. Working as a manager in hospitality, to be quite honest (pun not intended) this shop is top notch. The care they demonstrate, willingness to help, explainations provided. For me at least, has them at a higher level. Ive been here a few times, and each time the communication is great, the service desk is enjoyable to talk to, and for a shop, its clean. I had called Monday and scheduled my oil change for Saturday at 11 am. Dropped my car off and by 12:45 I still hadnt heard from them to pick up my car. I called and they tell me my car should be getting brought in next. After it had been there an hour and 45 mins past my appointment time. My car wasnt finished until 1:45. I dont get why they set appointments if theyre just going to take your car whenever they can. Never had this issue with any of my 3 cars ever when I go here. Until this past weekend, I wouldve loved to get a few things done on it had they not taken hours for an oil change.

Recently took my car for Front rotors and brake pads replacement I supplied my own parts. I was was skeptical as I am real picky where I take my car, but I picked up the phone gave them a call. The person I spoke on the phone was nice and was able to get me in within 2 hrs of the call. When I finally went in everyone there is nice they tell you everything you need to know about your car service and also provide updates via email and text. The service done on my car so far so good on the drive home no issues yet whatsoever. Great honest people, friendly and fantastic fair prices. Large auto repair chains are dishonest. For example, Firestone. Here are the reasons.(1) They always give you laundry list of repairs without giving a priority of fixes needed now.(2) Auto labor hourly rates are expensive. How expensive? These mechanics make more than an engineer working for Apple. Not a big fan of big-tech.(3) Warranty is for a short period.Honest-1 has solved #3 from above. They need to fine-tune #1 and #2. Often times doing a nice clean-up can solve problems, why replace an entire part? Remember, these are hardened metal parts.Having said above, we Chicagoland consumers need to support American owned small businesses. They are an honest bunch.

I am very much satisfied with the services. This is the first time I am with Honest-1 and everything was so perfect and punctual. They have provided all the issues in detail (including photo graph) and completed the work on time.

First time there was an oil change and tire rotation.My second time there was for an alignment. Long story short, they dont know how to measure tread. Given the numbers they got, the alignment shouldnt have happened without a tire rotation. My husband has been a mechanic for over 10 years (Graduated from UTI, works on daily drivers and builds race cars). My husband called to get an explanation as to why they did work that could cause transmission problems and their exact words were well she said she wanted the alignment. So we did it. They never even realized the flaw in their work and on top of that the technician said my rear windshield wiper was broken because he didnt know how to turn it on. What?Would not recommend for major work. Oil changes and tire rotations at best.

They promote and encourage the towing service, making it seem like they are there to help. I needed a towing service so I called and they were very dismissive and did not answer any of my questions. Someone there mentioned they closed in 45 minutes and would not be able to help until the next day.

I called on a Saturday which is an extremely busy day for vehicle maintenance shops and was able to get the brakes and rotors done on my car in roughly 2 hours. The entire staff was very nice and very friendly. I will definitely be going back to this shop if I ever need maintenance on my vehicles in the future.

I gave them four stars only because I just got my car back And I need to put some miles on it before I could say yeah five stars. I brought them my 2014 Honda accord V6 had them perform the 100,000 mile maintenance service which included timing belt spark plugs reseal oil pump right axle seal and oil change coolant flush and also valve adjustment but they are professional understanding and a lot cheaper than the dealer shop is, they have clean shop mechanics are knowledgeable and licensed we’ll see how this repair goes I would like to keep coming back with other cars.

I had a great experience with Honest-1 Auto Care. I like how they send pics of the car and what was to be worked on. They sent updates often and had my car ready when they said it would be. My Town and Country runs better now then when I bought it. I will definitely bring both of my cars here.

We needed brakes in our 2018 Infiniti. Being a Honest-1 previous customer, I receive offers from them. Right when I needed brakes, I received one of their emails. I clicked on Specials and there happened to be one on brake pads and rotors. It was a bit lower than the other places I called. I figured that when I called Honest-1, the deal would not be available for my car. That wasnt the case! I set an appointment and the car was done earlier than promised - at the price agreed to! Id like to share my positive experience. Came into Honest-1 with a car that was new to me. I asked for an oil change and had a 30 point inspection suggested. Joes crew handled the situation with utmost care. I received an awesome digital inspection that included pictures from angles that I could never see on my own. I even received a video which provided evidence of a part that needed replacement due to age. I was happy to discuss the important items and sort them right away, and the day 2 items which could be scheduled for a later date. Mainly I was able to get the service I needed, a heads-up on a couple of items that needed attention and the transparency and honesty that I was hoping for. Our vehicle broke a CV axle one night while in South Elgin. Our roadside assistance coverage only allows us to have the vehicle towed to a nearby auto shop. We decided to choose Honest-1 Auto Care, and were extremely happy that we did. We were very impressed with the thorough inspection report and service we received. Ramon and Bob were great and very helpful in explaining what was wrong with the vehicle, what need to be fixed, and based on the inspection what other potential issues may occur in due time. We dont really live in the area, but I will definitely consider them again for our next unfortunate repair, and I highly recommend Honest-1 in South Elgin.

Have a beat up pickup truck I bought to use to haul furniture and stuff around. Had a weird noise, was told by several friends honest one was the place to go. I have worked in several industries that over the last 15 years makes me not trust anyone. Ramon and his crew were very professional and completely honest about the whole thing. I was expecting to be told things like, if you dont change the air filter the truck will explode. Instead I got an honest answer, and the greatest deal ever. I recommend anyone, especially those who arent the most mechanically informed bring your vehicle here. They hold true to their business name. This place is a refreshing change to the auto care community.My car left me stranded on my way to work. I figured I would give these guys a call out of convenience. I thought I would be spending an arm and a leg going to an auto shop. (I usually work with an outside mechanic) to my surprise, Ramon did everything in his power to help me. This is the first time being here and I found them just by googling. I was shocked when they offered to drive me home and then they came and picked me up when the car was done. I began to take two vehicles to Honest -1 Auto in October, 2018. As the owner of older vehicles it was important to me to get the 30 point inspection with the oil change to identify problems I need to know about and what maintenance items are due or overdue. The nice thing is they video and take pictures as they diagnose problems so you can see what they look like. They identify failed diagnostics and warn about upcoming problems that can wait but need to be addressed eventually. The Store Manager Ramon Morales has been very attentive, helpful in explaining problems and accommodating. He always goes out of his way to “go the extra mile” to retain our patronage. Recently Ramone found a better price on parts, another time a mechanic rechecked our car and programmed it to clear the check engine light after we had picked it up, the check engine light had come on again. Joshua and Johnny and Al have all successfully worked on our vehicles. Once on a Sunday Jim was there doing paperwork even though they were closed he assisted in replacing a windshield wiper blade due to an out of town trip for work on Monday. I recommend Honest-1 and appreciate the professional attitude and attention they are willing to take to retain my business and address my car repair needs. They also provide a nice coffee/tea/snack service and have a nice waiting area. They also have provided a shuttle to drop me off at home while my car was worked on and also have come to get me to pick up my car. They also allow financing if you are approved for Care Credit. I got a $22 + tax oil change. Seems pretty reasonable. Went to pick it up and the bill is about $30. Where did this extra $8 come from? Was it all tax? Nope. Fees. The only shop that had balls to charge these hidden fees at checkout. I get its not a lot of money but just the lack of gesture. Maybe have been a little more.. Honest.

Was very impressed at the attention to detail when I stopped in for an oil change and to get my check engine light looked into. The photos showing me each issue with my vehicle really helped me understand the extent of the problems, as well as their very helpful system showing you what is more urgent and what is likely to be a future issue. Ive Driven by this place dozens of times and never stopped, until recently as i needed my air conditioning serviced as it had a slow leak and it stopped working, so i thought Id try them bout.They filled my car a/c with refrigerant and u-v dye and my a/c worked fine. They kept my car overnight to try and locate the leak and couldnt find it, so They released my car back to me, so i could drive it for a week and return to have the leak rechecked. When i returned after a week, They found two leaks, one in the valve stem on the low pressure suction side and also a compressor seal leak. They fixed it for a fair price imho and the repair has a warranty for 36 Months/36,000miles for a piece of mind. They communicate well with customers using your smart phone with texting and email. When they found my leak, they sent me a text that they found the leak and an email with a pictures of the leaks. My first experience was positive and felt i was treated fairly and honestly and I already referred them to a friend. They have a comfortable waiting room thats more like a lounge with complementary cans of Soda and juice for kids with a kids play area too and snacks too. They have a complinentary shuttle too if you live close by and You can drop off your car and theyll text you when its ready or just call them. They work on trucks and cars. Id recomend that you try them out if youre in need of a car or truck repair Ill likely return if i need their services. Try them out today. they are also wheel chair accessible. I may update in 2021 if my a/c repair holds out or not.

Great experience today. I went in for an oil change and was told when they realized my car required an upgraded filter about the added cost. They also did a free inspection and rotated the tires.

My husband recommended me to try your shop for an oil change. Although your prices were comparable to others, the quality of your customer service, and reporting of car quality and issues was great!

Do not take any of your fleet vehicles here. They misdiagnose problems and then start guessing. We have spent thousands on repairs that did not correct the problem that we originally took the vehicles in for. They also overfill fluids when doing changes. This last one cost us a motor replacement due to them filling the oil over 30% of its capacity.

They were able to set an appointment to review the vehicle, providing us with a user-friendly report containing detailed descriptions as well as photos and a video that highlighted key points in the inspection and provided clarity on some of our concerns.While the car was being serviced I took advantage of their modern & clean waiting area getting some work done using the wi-fi internet connection they provided.I want to thank Honest-1 and this team for the professional work they did on our car.
