Cool Operator has worked on my furnace and AC many times over the years, through Home Warranty of America. Todd is always prompt and professional. I really like their text system for communicating, I was alerted of the approximate arrival time of the technician when he was on the way during the time window. Todd always assesses the situation thoroughly. He provides a clear explanation of the problem and how it was, or will be resolved. He is also happy to answer any questions, he is patient, and makes sure everything is to the customers satisfaction. I would highly recommmend Cool Operator.

Home Warranty of America allocated this company. I paid $100 calk out fee, They could not fix the issue, could not be contacted easily, and did not want to complete the service. They will claim they can’t get parts. Buyer beware - ask your warranty company for a different contractor. They are not accredited. I was without heat for two weeks and they had no intention of resolving my issue. I called another company eventually and they got the parts and fixed my issue in 4 days. Do not recommend.

I cant say anything bad about this company, the technician explained what was the problem and what he needed to do. He also gave us suggestions for future.

Our furnace wasn’t working and Cool Operator was dispatched to us by our warranty company. They provided updates on the tech’s arrival. Also, Chris who was sent, did a very thorough job diagnosing the issue, educating us on the solution and making sure it was resolved before completing the job.

Replacement was procurred and installed within 3 days of the determination of failure of original furnace. Techs arrived as scheduled and were very professional on both testing and then installation of new unit.

Todd, Kathy, Jonathan and team are wonderful. I was having furnace issues and contacted my home warranty. They referred me to Cool Operator. They were very responsive and came out right away. This was important being that I have a newborn at home and my heat was not working in the start of winter. Sadly, my issue with my furnace was not covered under my warranty, but Jonathan was able to temporarily fix the issue. Todd was quickly able to give me 3 different options and thoroughly explained these options. We opted to go with a new furnace. I do have to say the level of customer service is exceptional. Todd was emailing me back instantly both on Friday night and Saturday night and I was truly grateful. I have never experienced that level of concern and customer service from any company. Our new furnace is working perfect and would definitely recommend Cool Operator.

Cool Operator did a great service from analyzing to installing and unfortunately coming back because of another issue with the system. Kathy was wonderful to work with on communication and Chris and John the techs were great. I cannot say enough about Cool Operator Heating and Cooling Inc. Excellent.

Was forced to use this company (using that term loosely) by home warranty. Each visit is a $100 fee...which is supposed to cover the repair as well. One visit was ok. Repair made. It was later found we needed a brand new AC unit AND a blower motor in furnace. The AC units were in short supply (not their fault) however every time we called for update they were rude and NEVER did the blower motor repair. I started receiving calls from hw saying I had to take a buy out. When I called to ask why it was because Cool Operator decided they just didnt want to work with us. Sooo, paid the fee, no repair on blower motor, no new AC and they kindly kept the $100. Simple contract law would show that they breached it and kept the money. BEWARE...AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Cool operators very very helpful through the whole experience. The home warranty company was having issues and cool operators were active in trying to get my claim through and furnace installed. They cared about my situation and went above and beyond what you can expect from a lot of companies these days. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I originally was referred to cool operator by HWA and over the years have had them out to repair both of our furnaces and AC units. I have read some of the negative as well as the positive reviews and the issues raised in the negative I find surprising. They have always been professional and friendly with me and the work done has been perfect. Now when I call HWA I insist they send cool operator. I couldn’t be happier with them.

Not sure how they compare on price, but the service and knowledgeable technician made it worth it. He took time to show me the problem and explained the solutions.

I had Two furnaces go out in servery cold winter weather. Called Cool Operator Heating and Cooling. Todd was here within the hour to diagnose and repaired the problem in one day. Would never consider calling anyone else. Great service, Great office staff and great guy.

My home warranty company provided this HVAC company when my furnace broke. We got the furnace working again before they could come out. Well now its completely broke & its 5° outside. Their website says emergency calls are no problem. I have called them twice within the last 3 hours, no call back. False advertising!!!!! DO NOT CALL THEM IF YOU NEED EMERGENCY HEATING.Update: they finally called me back but at 11:30pm, 4 HOURS after my first EMERGENCY call for no heat. At that point I had already bundled up & gone to bed. They came the next morning & all is fixed now but my review still stands. SOMEONE from the company should have called me & stayed in touch. 4 hours is unacceptable to me.

We worked with HWA Insurance Claims and they sent this company out. Called my claim in on Tuesday, some from Kathy from Cool Operator contacted me in the afternoon later that day. We set up for the following day today Wednesday between 11-2pm. Jonathan had contacted me around 10:45 to give me a heads up he is in route. Jonathan was very professional and answered all of my questions and concerns leaving me very satisfied. He had to replace the fan in our HVAC System to get the Fan to operate on Cool. All of this was covered under our plan so all I paid was the $100 co-pay. He had us up and running in under 3 hrs. Very pleased, and would recommend this company to anyone that would need such a service.

Came out last minute when I was desperate but didnt gouge me for it. Arrived on time, replaced what was needed- didnt suggest replacing the whole unit like others did AND cleaned up after himself. Still have his number handy in case theres a next time!

So far so good. Not the best callback times but customer service has been good and feel their maintenance plan pricing is fair.

AC went out and Chris was there in a jiffy. He diagnosed the problem and put in a quick fix. He helped diagnose a 2nd problem which I can fix and was through the whole job quickly. He was very friendly & knowledgeable and the office staff was easy to deal with as well

We purchased a new house in January 2019 and Home Warranty of America (HWA) coverage was included for a year. In the beginning of April our home was freezing. The heat pump had gone out. Being that said we have three young kids, and it was freezing I had to get this fixed in a hurry. I called HWA, they said they have a very solid contractor who can get the job done. It was cool operator heating and cooling Inc. The owner of the company came and took a look at the heating unit and advised us It needs to be replaced. It would cost us over $1,225.00 which HWA will not cover due to all those are for the modifications. Over $1,225 for only parts that HWA would not cover? We agreed to get it done since we needed heat at home to keep our young kids comfortable. HWA called me on Wednesday April, 17 advising us that the parts are ready and cool operator will call us to schedule an appointment. I called them twice that day and left messages, no one returned my calls, HWA called me on Thursday April 18 and said that cool operator are closed due to Easter holiday. When I called to schedule an appointment on Monday April 22 the owners wife picks up (Kathie) who seemed not to care that we have no heat and have been calling them since last week. While on the phone FINALLY she said that the unit is ready for them to pick up from HWA (which they had it since Wednesday) but before they setup an appointment there will be an additional $75 charge for rewiring on top of the $1,225, at this point I felt they were talking advantage of us since we were desperate for heat, so I questioned her why an extra charge, she didnt like me questioning her and said we will not pick the unit up from HWA and hungup. (So I called HWA and advised of the poor customer service) I called her back again today April 25th and all she had to say WE ARE DONE CALL HWA AND HUNGUP. (I was just calling to let her know we were moving forward with a different company) glad she hung up on me again the second time which made me put this review so people dont get stuck with this company.PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! HAVE THE BALLS TO PICK UP THE PHONE AND EXPLAIN ! NOT HUNGUP!This is the reason this company has all low rating reviews. I just want to warn you all, if you are working with a home warranty company and they refer you to this company you can request to have a different contractor come. You have the right to request for a different contractor. We had another contractor come today Chicagoland and heating who is going to finally install our heating unit and our non coverage cost will be $425. What a difference.

We had Todd Install a new furnace at our house seamed to work fine for a few years and then started to go out all the time. had Todd come check it out and told us some parts were bad and he would order them and swap them out...... yeah that never happened. after that we would call his office and the lady there wouldnt answer the phone from our house number but oddly enough if you call from a different number you would get someone to answer the phone. Finally had someone from this company come out and check it out for the last time and OMG you should have seen the rust and water thats been poring in to this furnace all this time no wonder it doesnt work, not to mention that the exhaust vent that led outside that Todd installed had water dumping in to it. after that we got a phone call saying that someone tried to steal his techs flashlight and they would no longer come to service our Furnace.I Reached out to Todd personally and asked how we could both work together on how to resolve this issue. And to no surprise I never heard a word back. if I could leave negative stars I would a 1 rating is to good for this place.
