While driving back from a canoe trip, my friends car died. Fortunately, we happened to be right next to Randys when it happened. It was quickly diagnosed as an alternator problem and a replacement was obtained and installed for a very fair price. Amazingly, this all took place in less time than it takes to get dinner at a nice restaurant. If I lived closer, Id take my car there regularly!

Mike was awesome!! Did a great job on the alignment on my 78 trans am. He noticed it had a rough idle and slight hesitation. He said he couldnt let it leave his shop like that so he did a quick adjustment and it runs awesome.Thanks Mike. I appreciate the excellent care and service you gave my car. I do a lot of my own work but I will definitely be back if there is something I cant do or have trouble with!

I moved and recently returned to Norridgewock, Maine and was in need of auto repair for my truck two times so I called Randys auto again and spoke with Randy’s son Mike who now runs the business. I was alittle nervous as I didn’t know Mike but his dad taught him well as their customer service is top notch, they explained everything before and after service, their prices are extremely fair and they NEVER take advantage of there customers. My husband and I brought our truck in with an emergency brake problem and they took care of our truck within a few hours and for a decent price. Everyone there was super professional and easy to talk to. This is now the only place in skowhegan well bring our vehicles.

Not the first time and wont be the last time. Very straight forward and to the point. Simple fast transactions. If your car will be there for a short enough time that you dont want to have someone pick you up, they have a nice comfy couch and chairs with a tv to watch. Never had a problem here.

The crew here did an excellent job of aligning my Subaru Outback. After a botched job by Skowhegan VIP, I am very impressed with Randys crew and the work they do. Ive been dealing with Mike at the shop for years, great guy and great work. The employees there know what theyre doing and the prices are fair.

I had an appointment for them to do my tie rods, coil springs and windshield. They asked me to drop it off Friday morning and that it would be done Monday. I drove by Sunday and my car didn’t move at all, they did no work on my car Friday meaning I dropped it off for nothing. I called them today asking if it would be done. They said everything but the windshield would be and I was fine with that. A couple hours later they called and told me that they ordered the wrong parts so they weren’t doing any work on my car after they had it for 4 days. I called American Glass to get my windshield done and they told me they ordered the windshield Monday morning and it wouldn’t be in until Wednesday even though Randy’s told me they would have it done Tuesday which wouldn’t even happened since American Glass couldn’t even get it until after then. If you want to waste your time you can go here aside from that I wouldn’t

IGNORE ALL THE GOOD REVIEWS WRITTEN BY ‘FRIENDS’Worst customer service, ever.I had an appointment for simply oil change and alignment. Everyone in the garage was hanging out at the desk, eating and telling crude jokes and ignoring customers. It took FORTY MINUTES for them to bring my car in, then another hour for them to do terrible work on my car. The desk people are nasty, unprofessional, and shouldn’t have the job if they hate people so much.Also, their dog was jumping all over me during my wait. I am allergic to dogs.I can see I’m not the only one experiencing this. If you are like me, and have to drive almost an hour to get to town, making these appointments means it is very important to have the work done on time.Rude, dishonest, and bad mechanics.Update: “alignment” was not actually done. Less then a month later, I took the car to another place and found that no work had been done, and the alignment was completely off, ruining my tires.

I needed some body work done to my car and they did a fantastic job. You can’t even tell I had body work done. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs body work done to their vehicles but also to get general service done as well.

Been using them for years for my personal and work vehicles for all out of warrantee repairs. Generally quick turnaround, and they understand and respect that my work vehicles are my livelihood. Used other shops (many years ago) that would tie up my vehicles for days. Never had a situation where I thought I had been treated unfairly with the bill either.

For a place that has 4.5 stars I would think that this place would have high quality customer service, but I did not have this experience. When Randy had a check to get my car fixed for over a week and didnt have the courtesy to call me to at least make an appointment. I had called him and he told me he couldnt get me in for a while with already waiting 3 weeks I have to take time off of work because my car isnt able to drive 600+ miles a week. Not very impressed now Im out that money with him not returning it and without a car to support my family.

Great body work, great prices, and friendly staff.

Every appointment made takes more than an hour for them to even get to your vehicle because they’re all sitting around snacking or fidgeting on their phones. My last visit took nearly two hours after our appointment time for them to get to the car and then took another two hours for the work to be done. This time I had an inspection appointment made, which would only take 20-40 minutes tops to even do, and once again they’re sitting around eating 15 minutes later without saying a word to me. If you have a ‘lunch break’, don’t schedule appointments during it and then expect people to wait around all day. If you ask about the time being taken, they either ignore you, or laugh at you which is really unprofessional and rude. Never wasting my time with them again.

These guys are the real deal. I went elsewhere for a cheaper repair which ended up not cheap at all because after failure after failure, and my car being in an out of the shop, I had to take my car back to Randys in desperation. Randys did an amazing job, fixed my car once and for all, and it has been running great ever since. I will never go anywhere else.

Had my rear end worked on, took 3 rebuilds and still isnt 100%, i paid twice for it, they went good for the cost the last time, the last time they replaced the housing with a used one because the old one leaked at the perches, sent me home with a damaged and leaking brake line on it, and left old cruddy fluid in the rear brake system, when sealing the rear pumpkin cover, they didnt verify for leaks and now the cover is leaking, I will never have work done here again, quality of work is aweful

Junk! Had them do my exhaust like 1 year ago and finally got around to getting it done right. The welds they did look awful and the pipes they bent for my exhaust exit don’t even line up with my cars exits on the bumper. Also, they cut a small piece of bumper so the exhaust wouldn’t melt it. Poor quality work and over priced. 👎🏻

Great group of people that help with any needs

Pretty mediocre, bordering on bad experience. I took our Nissan Sentra over for inspection and here was the experience.The staff was apathetic to the point of seeming annoyed with my presence.They told me I needed 2 things to pass inspection - Rear struts and Tires.On the struts, they wanted to charge $560 for rear strut replacements. $140 in parts and an hour at most of labor. They wanted $560.My tires were really nice run-flats that still had plenty of tread and life left in them. They were fine. But they wouldnt pass my car unless I put something new on the car. I knew they were going to replace my good tires with junk, too, so I asked to keep the run-flats after they switched the tires. They said theyd put them in the trunk, and when I got home, of course they werent there. They kept the good tires and put on the worst pair of Falken tires. Which later caused us to get into the only fender-bender weve ever had.So, in order to pass inspection, I had to take great tires off the car that still had a good amount of tread, and put on some terrible Falken tires. And thats what constitutes safe - and allowed me to pass inspection.All in all, they just wanted to soak me before theyd pass me. The inspection racket is just another chance for shops like this to milk the consumer.

Took way too long to repair grill due to parts continued to be incorrect. Headlight was repaired.... two days later the bulb blew an light has more condensation than it did before I brought it in. It was a whole month trying to get everything fixed. They were apologetic.
