After reading a few reviews for this nail salon I see that my experience is common. I made a same day appointment to get a fill-in with no-chip with pedicure as well. The tech working on my nails did a sloppy job and within in a week one of MY nails broke and the paint chipped on thumb nail. I went back to get it fixed and the paint chipped on my other thumb in less than a week. I live to far to keep going back to this shop so I figured I would write a review. The crazy part about all of this is that the shop is beautiful but, the quality of work is trash. I’ve been getting my nails done for years and Ive never seen no-chip polish peel off of a nail 👀

It was all VERY rushed. So much so that it hurt and was not relaxing. A lady who started her pedicure before me was still getting her pedicure when I walked out. Im not sure why my manicurist was in such a hurry, but I do not recommend this place at all. My feet hurt because she went so fast and hard with the cheese grater on my heels. Plus there was absolutely no massage. Just put some lotion on and called it a day. So disappointed that I wasted my money. Never again.

First things first, I am not usually one to complain but I have never had such a horrible experience at a nail salon. The salon I usually go to had no techs available so I decided to go here. I booked an appointment for an acrylic fill in and when I entered the salon, the ladies told me to get a gel fill in instead, so I took their advice. I sat down and I did not even pick a color when the lady began to do my nails. She made me bleed with the buffer tool she was using. Towards the end, she kept putting on coats of matte top gel and I was worried my nails would be puffy. When this was over, I was charged $40. I came home an hour later and realized my nails, were indeed, puffy and decided to give them a call for the price breakdown. I asked the man why I was charged so much and found out they charge separately for fill in, color, and matte top coat. He explained all of this with an attitude and I told him his prices online were different and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong and would charge me to fix my puffy, streaky, matte nails. Sticking to my usual salon.

They didnt have a nail design person and charged $16 for manicure and the end of my service was $26 charge, they charged to remove no chip and gave me super buff shine. The service was a NEVER AGAIN service.

This experience was anything but relaxing. She didnt even offer any other types of pedicures and the entire thing took less than 10 minutes. This is the last time I will ever step foot here again.

Would not Recommend ! Never in my life have I wrote a bad review for anyone. But they deserved it, Anna who did my nails literally was hurting me during this process she ripped out my cutical where I could not stop bleeding for so long and then to cover it up she kept dipping my finger with blood still on it into the dipping powder and using all her tools, and I sat there disgusted for the next person who’s gonna have the germs from my blood on their fingers, and then still charged me the full price for the service and let it bleed didn’t tell anyone either, it grossed me out the way she took care of the situation and then did the service in the worst way all the dip polish were so dry they were stuck to the cap horrible job would never recommend will never be coming back here again !

If you want a horrible experience, this will be the best place to go, Ive been to this location twice and every time I gave them the benefit of the doubt and after this 2nd time I just realized this place will not even be even my last resort location to get my nails done. The lady rushed my nails so quick she made it uncomfortable and even hurt. I have a job interview and this just totally made me feel worse lol do not visit this location, at the end of it all they’ll have the audacity to ask me if I wanted to tip in cash or credit.AVOID at all cost!!I wish I could take away stars if I could for this location.

Terrible service. You can make an appointment and they will see people who walk in before you. I had a 1.30pm appointment. The girl in line before me was a walk in. They sat her down. I was told to wait till someone was free in 10 mins! Will not be going back!

I promise you no one will ever do pedicure the way those ladies at this salon do! I live 30 minutes away but I will never like anyone’s work like theirs. Everyone is kind and talented.

I always go here to get my nails done and they always do a good job BUT I went in yesterday for a full set of acrylic and the lady was rushing doing my nails! And putting the polish on! I absolutely am not satisfied with the shape of them or how they are painted !

Kelseys Nails are amazing! Its a great place to get your nails done! The Salon is clean and bright and colorful. I love it there I will never go anywhere else. The owner is great always there saying hi to you making you feel welcomed. Kathy is the best she is caring, friendly, and a great person, she take good care of you! The whole staff is helpful, they really care about you.

I got a no chip gel manicure. By the next day, three of my nails were chipped. By day 4 of having my nails done, almost all nails were chipped (some a big chip, some a small chip). When I called to see if I could come in to have them fixed the manager said “they shouldn’t be chipped already. You can come in and we can see if it’s something you did or something we did.” I decided not to go for fear of him accusing me, when I did not do anything to harm the nails. I didn’t want to go in and be accused of something. Had he been apologetic, I would have gone in, but it seemed that the blame was already being placed on me.

I love coming here for pedicures and refuse to go anywhere else, and I live in Chicago! I keep forgetting to download their app but it does pay off and gives you credits towards service. I will be going today again, and will make sure to take a picture to share.

The woman that did my nails was really nice, and she was informative about the pros and cons of no chip vs. dip manicure. I was disappointed with my first time trying dip at another place as it crack after a week. With dip, they also fell off and my nails were super thin and broke. She informed me that she does personally prefer no chip because dip does tend to crack. I went with no chip, and I will definitely stick to that from now on.This place is also very visually appealing! And the hand lotion smells amazing!

Every time I come I leave happy. Kathy does a great job, she knows my style and what I like.

I love NA so much she always does such a great job on my nails, she is my new nail lady always because I am particular and she does exactly what I want!

I love going to Flower aka Hoa. Nah is also great as well!!!! They are both amazing and pay attention to detail. All the people that work there are wonderful and Kevin, the owner is amazing. I felt safe going there during covid times, they check your temperature and give you hand sanitizer as you walk in. Workers and customers wear masks.

Boy😉do I feel great! I got a massage, a pedicure and a manicure and the women are great and very experienced.My😣whole body was sore and achy and my feet were swollen when Le got through with my pedicure, manicure and massage I feel like a new woman and my legs and feet feel great!I saw all of the older employees and they are still hanging in there with the owners.To😀me, they are the best nail shop and the state of Illinois.You must go to Kelsey nails they are the best😁!Singer, Brenda Starr

Honestly everyone here is very rude EXCEPT Mindy who would be the only person I would recommend. They constantly make me bleed when I get pedicures and I found a new nail home not too far away called American Nail Spa where they are cleaner and have better customer service.

🚨 PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO 🚨I’m not trying to seem like a Karen but I work next door and I came i today Sunday August 9th just to pass time and also I wanted to change my color from my usual nail bar V2 nails(highly recommend especially if your looking for something you saw on Instagram or wherever they’ll make it happen) at first the man behind the counter was very nice he’s sweet and patient but this one lady I didn’t get her name but who cares this place has so many rude complaints I wouldnt be surprised If it’s every female In that establishment. But the lady started off sweet I had Jena that I wanted to keep before I knew how weird it was gonna look with cat eye so when she finished one hand I simply asked for her to take them off and just paint the cat eye their too SHE CAUGHT A WHOLE ATTITUDE and began to snatch my hands . I bruise way to easily and my fingers were already turning read from being pulled too hard. She proceeded to use the file machine and kept chipping my skin! Sis was MAD but that’s not how you treat a customer.I run a blog and normally boost small businesses on my socials like ig etc but this is definitely getting a story time and a a summary on each platform I have. UNBELIEVABLE I don’t recommend if your in the area just go get them done at the mall across second floor near the bus stops. They’re nice and friendly there also will hold a convo and treat you like an actual customer not a slum

Nail technician Viviane was very nice and respectful. Sometimes Im not talkative and my nail techs are.Here they understood that I was too tired to talk about my life story like some other customers like to do. My nails came out beautiful and I love that she made sure I was happy with them before I left. I will be back

Decoration of the salon was pretty nice, there was a lot of nail color selection, the space inside was big and spacious. The staff who was very kind, efficient, and so professional! The staff was able to wax my eyebrows perfectly and painless! Not only I really love my honey milk spa pedicure!

I have been going here for over a year and I love it. I only get my nails done by one tech she is the greatest.

I love coming to this place, except for my last experience. My husband, son, and myself came in for manicures and pedicures (only the boys got them)The nail work was just fine, but maybe try better placement for staff with couples. My husbands nail tech has very large breasts that were not remotely covered up. I’m sure this is done to get better tips from male clients, but I find it extremely disrespectful especially when the wife is there. As a female, you know when your top is too low and If her top were any lower we would have nipple showing. Not my cup of tea.

Best place to get your nails done. Well ventilated and a large variety of nail colors. Not sure about the other reviews but I drive an extra 20 mins to this place because its my favorite spot!

My is the best technician!She is such a sweet and gentle person. I have been fortunate to have her care for me for several years now. Since the old salon in Evanston. She is gentle and thourogh. She is patient and takes her time, you never feel rushed. Your comfort is her priority. I have lived out of state now for over a year, but am loyal to my, will always make an appointment with her when I am in town💜

This place is awful they rushed through the work and made me bleed three times. At the end when I wanted to pay the lady tilled herself two dollars with out even asking me!!!! In addition she consistently checked her phone and wouldnt make conversation so the whole experience was bad and awkward.

The towels are dirty the chairs are torn up. I guess because it’s mostly a minority client base the shop and customer service could below par and it will be acceptable. I understand that they may not speak English but they way they man handle your feet, hands and merchandise without attempting to communicate is troublesome....and they are constantly speaking in their native language with themselves no attempt to communicate and build rapport with their clients....last time I gave them a second chance no more

Ordered ice cream and ate it DURING my pedicure. VERY satisfied. The only technician Ive ever liked is Mindy. I dont think the others speak English because they dont respond when you talk to them... its unfortunate, really.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! THEY SUCK!!! I went there for gel nails. They insisted on acrylic and I watched them try to make other customers get more expensive work. She rushed through his work on my nails. When they dried the gel was lumpy and had air bubbles. She began to massage my arms with lotion afterwards and i requested her not to do so because my wrist was hurting from an injury...she kept doing so, just as rough until I jerked it back. Then the next day my nails began to crack and peel!! I was shocked when she told me the price because I’ve paid cheaper for WAY better service. I don’t understand how they still have business with service like that. If I could give them 0 stars I would and If I could post a picture of my nails I would.

I have had my nails done a few times here and Im not sure why I returned. On my last visit I was asked to leave the salon and come back another day. I understand thats they were busy, and I was willing to wait, but I dont see a reason why it was ok for them to be so rude. Quality of the hand massage was weak as well. If youre looking for a good nail salon, there are many others in the area you can visit.

Ive been here a couple of times, and the service has been so-so, but Im writing 1.5 weeks after getting a pedicure: My toe still hurts!!! I feared that when one of the technicians yanked at the corner of my big toe, it would be painful. She assured me (and my friend, who also got a pedicure) that it would be ok.Every night, my toe throbs in pain from this visit. I wish I had read the reviews. I would have taken my friend to my usual spot (Lee Nails near Fresh Market/Walmart). Kelsey techs need better training.

I’m so upset I spent so much money here with rushed work. Anyhow, I made a prior appointment for me and my bf with a nail tech I really like. My bf had someone I never seen (she was new and nice but you can tell that she was rushing due to being overwhelmed with her work load). As our pedicures are started everything is fine. However, I see the nail tech that my bf had is trying to balance someone else. So during that time she came over and touched my bf’s water and setting (to chair) with the same gloves she was just attending her previous client with. I called her out and told her to start over. I was upset and I’m sure it showed. So after that my nail tech starts my nails with the same color every seems to want at that moment (other nail techs were approaching her rudely rushing her for the color) while the front desk is rushing her in Vietnamese telling her she has had a client sitting for some time (because they over booked her). My work wasn’t her best and it’s truly not her fault she was rushed and under a great deal of pressure. Due to how this establishment is ran I will no longer be a client. I do not appreciate rushed work with horrible customer service. I will take my services else where it does not feel like I am in a factory setting.

Doesnt get any better than this for a nail salon in South Barrington. Coming here was truly a treat. The service I got for my manicure is incredible.

I just learned that I been cheated w prices. I have been charged 42.00 for a filll every 2 weeks when it is only $34.00 and i have been charged 50.00 for a full when it should only be 42.00. I thought I could trust the manicurist who I have been going to for over a year. They lost a good customer. Highly recommend going somewhere else where you get better service and you will pay better prices. Do not be taken advantage of.

It was horrible. The first lady the owner sent me to took forever to just get started to soak nail off. I sat and watched her as she finished eating and then drank her water. Then disappeared on me only to come back still looking at me smiling. Like arent u gonna get started. Then I got moved again while my nails soaked. Then I was moved a third time where I received descent service from the tech. Now I have natural long nails where I have been getting SNS. They only do 2 coats. When thought that was strange especially with natural nails. 1broke in 2 hours and 4 others cracked. Went back to fix the owner told me it was my nails. Then I had to wait to actually get service for about 20 to 30 min. When I was told it would only be 5min. Before I get some service. Then when I finally got into a seat instead of just buffing out the cracks the lady was going to take the whole thing off and then the lady had to be told to just buff my nails and add another coat. Then to get home only to have another one break again completely, my natural nail included. Therefore I will not be going back to that nail shop again.

I went in for a full set, the nail tech did not ask me what shape or length I wanted. I then asked if she could file the sides more because the nails were very wide and I am not a fan of that. She seemed annoyed and slightly filed the sides then proceeded to paint my nails without asking if I was ok with the shape. I am very disappointed with the service and the outcome of my nails.

I give it 1 star not for the result. Result was ok but the young girl who did my eyebrows, was very rude and unpleasant. Also the back room was not clean. The towels looked dirty. Next time I will take my time and choose a better spa. I was going to get my nails done but after the poor service, I just left. And she refused to give me a receipt, because I paid cash. I do not recommend.

The staff is very rude and have an attitude if you have an issue with the way they polished of filed your nails. Don’t dare say a word because they will get upset and the whole salon will start talking about you.

Smell so bably. I do not know why they allow Fruity and nail in one. You can not relax with the smell terrible like this. Also they do not sanitize their tool to cut you cuticles. I do not want my feet get infection.STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

I want to give them zero star, The only reason is because I have to so I can tell people how horrible they are!!Over priced for crappy nails. I wanted matte coffin shape nails. They gave me almost oval shaped nails. Most of them were bent and crooked. Horrible customer service. They try to talk you into stuff you dont want. I will not be going back. Only reason I paid for them was because it was my choice to go there.

I got there an hour before they closed & the guy was rushing me! He basically was slapping the polish on unevenly & very sloppy & he made me leave 20 minutes before they closed just because he was ready for me to get out of the shop & my nails were still wet! He & the other worker were also very rude to me! I will not be coming back anymore. Dont waste your money!

I just got my nails done and they look terrible! i got the acrylic nails and they are so uneven and the whole nail isn’t even painted. they didn’t even clean up my nails like the cut my cuticles or buff them. not even a hand massage! and it was $45!!! not worth it!!!

This place does not care for their customers nor do they take pride in their work. Kathy did a horrible job on my nails. The Polish looked as if my 7 yes old had done them. The arcylic on my thumb nails were raising up minutes after she finished them and they wanted to charge a fee to have them both corrected. They don’t have any good customer service skills AT ALL . They have a very nasty attitude towards clients. One of the nail techs said come back at 7:15 when it was 5:18 which she said is a hour when really it was 2 hrs. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THAT NAIL SALON AT ALL!And also they don’t want to correct their mistakes without the client paying again. They are all about money and not good customer service. They use cheap products the gel cracks within 2 days. And then when you come back they want to act like they don’t recognize you. They file your nails to low or uneven. BUYER BEWARE!

Let me preface my review by saying the nail techs are friendly, professional and provide a good service. However, the owner Kevin, who often mans the front, is an unprofessional and incapable person who lacks manners, etiquette and the ability to apologize or accept blame. I will never return to this establishment and will make it known to others.

I would not recommend this shop. The lip wax I received was poorly done. I still had hair in the middle of my lip and along the sides of my mouth. After 2 days of having my nails done, 2 of them broke as I was doing laundry and washing dishes. Also the paint began to chip on the 4th day of my acrylic nails and my aunts manicure. Stay away from Kim.

I just love this place I love the staff I love them when they were at Kellys nails and now they are Kelseys nails and I still have my same technician Kim who I love and adore so much I will continue to go back and I recommend other women to go and see Kim Michelle and Mindy💖💖💖

I thought i would try this new shop.I went for a fillin and no chip polish.My no chip polish started peeling off the 2nd day and several nails broke on the corners. This is due to inferior products. Price is on the high end compared to other shops in the area.The place is clean and the staff are friendly, they just need better products.

They attend to you quick. The lady Kim who did my nails left them patchy and the edges uneven. She cut my three times. The tools that they use looked dirty. Not to mention when I walked in there was a pile of cooked meat sitting on the floor.

Terrible. Sometimes they do a good job, but most times they do not. Ive gone back more than I should hoping that maybe its just because Im going to the wrong person. I cant believe they let me leave the salon with my nails looking like they do. It looks like I let a drunk grandpa with Parkinsons disease paint my toenails. Unreal. This is what you can expect from this place. An uneven paint job and dry nail beds. I think she is 80 years old still doing the nails in the world.🙄

Wow, where do I begin. First, I did not receive the requested manicure, then the lady said she would cut my cuticles AFTER the SNS was on. She cut x3 of my finger cuticles, and caused bleeding.... they said they wouldn’t charge me for the manicure, but I asked myself what manicure?

I always have a great experience when I go to Kelsey Nails. I am shocked to see such a low rating for them! Kathy and Kristy are my favorite nail techs but I have had good experiences with each one I have had. I was in two weeks ago (Kathy did my pedicure, Kristy did my no-chip manicure) and my nails turned out PERFECT! I saw them both at Wal-Mart this past week and they checked to make sure mt nails still looked good (they did, after two weeks!) and I told them I would be back to see them.I just got home from this weeks mani-pedi and let me tell you, Kristy is A SAINT!! I thought I was being smart, picking up my own color at Walgreens and bringing it with me. Kristy gets to work on my manicure and says I dont think this is no chip and Im all no it is, I asked so shes like ok and keeps going. Turns out, it wasnt no chip and she was right! Instead of just fixing the two that were messed up and sending me on my way, she redid my entire manicure! She was so nice about it and she worked for so long to make it right. I really appreciate her kindness and her humor in the situation! I will always go back to Kristy and/or Kathy. They are THE BEST!!

This is the only place where I have had to go back consistently through the week to get nails redone because they chipped or break and the management here is so rude and have zero customer service. They do not know how to do it, moreover they did so rush.

I got SNS done here. It suppose to be last longer than 4 days. 3 of my nails chipped off just 4 days. No more.

They are really good at not speaking English all of a sudden when you have a complaint. I wish i could upload a picture right now of the botched SnS nail job they just did and charged me $45 for. Had i not been running late on my lunch i would have put up a fight for that charge. Time to find a black or white nail tech and not be treated like an assembly line. I have not been here in years but was in CR so stopped to get my nails done. Very terrible service. They clearly were talking about my child. I know enough Vietnemese to know what they said.Had 3 different people doing my nails (which I know they do that but...) all 3 seemed equally confused on how to do a full set white tip manicure. It was ridiculous.The glue was on my fingers. Didnt clean it even tho her hand had to be pulled off twice. She just keeps going like its normal. Forgets to add a nail to thumb and when I said something about it she ignores me an puts the nails away. Lol. Done on Saturday and 1st nail came off Tuesday.Was never really happy with them so I am glad they are coming off so easily so I can put this horrible place behind me.

Kelsey nails was my go to nail salon when they just opened... But, I had bad experiences two times in a row!!!!I went to Kelsey nails on September 9th for a non-chip manicure, the person who did my nails left them bumpy and uneven. So today September 16th, I went back for my nails to be redone not for free of course. The person who did my manicure cut me, when I told her the color I wanted, she talk back with a bad attitude, then I asked her to file a nail that was uneven, she talked back again, and then she deliberated left my nails missing one coat of nail polish. I decided not to say anything to her anymore, but will never come back to Kelsey!!

I like their selection of nail polish. Customer service was HORRIBLE. I had a nail tech that did not greet me whatsoever. She was very rude. I will not be going back because of her attitude. The nail polish selection isnt worth it. I give this place 0 stars for the variety of the nail polish colors!

I dont really like giving bad reviews but I got a full set with a simple design, which is really just 2 colors on the tip and the lady that did mine was rough and she got nail polish underneath my nails, on my hand, and she didnt make the tips as wide as she should have. She also put the clear top coat on then did more filing on my nails, my sister in law was with me and got the same thing and she got charged only $35 and got lotion massaged on her hands too but I got charged $45. This is the worst service I have recieved at a nail salon.

This place is like burger king for nails . I saw all these negative comments and gave them a shot anyways . GUESS WHAT ?? ALL THESE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ARE VALID . I went there for pedicure. They are quite shop, but did so rush on my feet. They did not pay attention on your job. They talked and laugh in their languge. So rude.

The lady next to her who also works there has a very ugly attitude and seems like they think nobody understands their language, was speaking very bad about others and about me . after all I didnt even want to finish my color I just asked her for acetone to remove my nail polish because one nail had smudged and since she wasnt approachable, felt like she would get upset so I got up and left . I myself understand how this industry works, I work at a barbershop and I cut hair, my thing is, if you are going to work in this industry you have to be a people person if not find something else to do ! If I ever come back I should atleast have the right to pick who I want to get serviced by .

Worker named My, she did not even talk to me any word during the time she did menicure for me. she is so rude.

Nails were not filed and were left bumpy and tooooo thick.

Vivian did a terrible job. Her attitude is good, but her skill is so terrible.

Vivian did my no chip nail, it last no longer than 5 days. I waste my time and money. I wont come back.
