After having inner tie rods an alignment and 2 front tires (expensive) put on car---my car was still wandering all over the road.It was hard to explain to anyone what the car was doing .Jeff Johnson drove the car a long way trying to feel the problem.He concluded my rear struts are failing even though just a year old.So Ill see if hes right real soon.

Had to get two new tires and some lug nuts replaced. Went all over town, got quotes from will not work on it to $425 and nobody could get it done today. Now, I probably could have looked around a bit more and maybe shaved off fifty bucks getting used tires and cheating on the lug nuts, but when I stopped at Gateway they told me they could get it done today for right around $200. And they were as good as their word on that! None of this, Well, we ran into a little trouble and its gonna cost you twice as much and we have to keep your car for a week Just we can do it today and this is what itll cost. Cant ask for more than that!

We ran into car trouble on our way from Texas to Destin. The dealership said they were backed up 4 days and all the other shops were saying the same pretty much. We had to wait a few hours but they were able to diagnose and fix our car issue. They were extremely friendly and worked hard to get us out back on the road. Highly recommend!

Always a quality experience when I need vehicle maintenance. Mike at the Sport-Barksdale center, in particular, is always pleasant and thorough when explaining needed repairs. I definitely recommend taking your vehicle there for any repair work major or minor.

I got a set of tires in march of 2020 and I was helped by Mike at the shreveport-barksdale location. The service was top notch and the pricing was great. My experience was so good that I went back down there to get tires on my wifes car 2 weeks ago. I called in advance and had Mike order my tires and he was there and ready to help as soon as I got there on a Saturday morning. My next set will definitely be from there. I am a stickler for service quality and I drive an hour and half just to get tires there.

Incredible service! Treated me fairly and honestly, not like a typical woman who has zero clue about her vehicle. Even had their mechanic check out an issue I had been having and recommended another place to repair it. They have made a repeat customer out of me!

The service was AMAZING!! I greeted soon as I walked in and the service man at the counter was very friendly. He made me feel like he wanted to help. I needed a new tire sensor for my Jeep and soon as I handed him my keys he had someone come from the back to get my vehicle. The service was fast and friendly. I was there a max of 20 mins. My husband spent $1,000 to have his AC fixed. As soon as we turned the AC on fluid spewed everywhere and the belt burnt off. There was smoke everywhere. Now our AC will not work at all. We took our vehicle back to Gateway. Come to find out it was something else completely wrong with the AC that went undetected, the air compressor. Gateway’s manager would not give us a refund or do anything to fix it, unless we paid again. We are extremely disappointed that Gateway would do something like this to a customer, especially during a time like this. We do not mind paying when something needs to be fixed, but they just took our money and did not fix the problem.

It took forever but everyone was really nice and helpful.

Took my truck there to get my a/c fixed and got my truck back paid almost $1,000 and run my a/c for an hour at most because it’s been cold and it’s only been 12 days since they “fixed” it and the belt broke and it shot out refrigerant so I take it back up there and they tell me my compressor is locked up, if my compressor was so bad that it locked up after an hour of use shouldn’t they have noticed it was bad? So then I talk to the manager and tell him( Jeff Johnson) that I feel like it they should’ve noticed that before if it was that bad and I felt like it was something they did and he tells me that I need to research how an a/c system works. Very unprofessional and rude. (Which many things they did could’ve caused my compressor to go out like to much refrigerant, to little refrigerant, or if they put the wrong type in there)

This is my go-to place in Shreveport/Bossier. As a young woman, I’m always afraid to go into a car shop alone because I know nothing about cars, I usually end up paying way more than necessary, and talked into unnecessary add ons that I don’t really need. This is the one place I have gone to that is not only super respectful, they hear what you need and they just do it. No extras, no hassle, and they make it super affordable. I went in today for just an alignment but they noticed my front tire was bad off, so they got me a brand new tire for literally only $55, and afterwards they even rotated them for free. If you’re like me and you know nothing about cars and are afraid of getting swindled and just need somewhere reliable and affordable, this is the best place around and they have great warranties as well when you go with their products. I also have to add that anytime I’ve gone in there, every single employee has been nothing but as kind as can be.

Don’t take your car here. They get mad when you know they’re over charging you, and trying to replace things that do not need replacing. They messed with my car when I asked to take it back just because they were mad I didn’t agree to get it fixed with them. Dishonest and childish. Don’t come here unless you want to waste money

My mother in law just had her car worked on here. She took it in for a nail in the tire and they found that all of her tires were bad so they needed replacing. The next day they said her brake pads were bad and near to the metal and I started feeling like there were some red flags. I’d never dealt with gateway before so I had no idea about their business practices, but I do know other auto businesses can and will take advantage of vulnerable people to make an extra buck and I got nervous. So I called in defense mode and asked that the bad brake pads be presented when she picked up her car, citing past experiences with other businesses that will bleed you dry with made up charges.Turns out they were just being thorough and doing their jobs. They very well could have saved her some grief, maybe her life, in the future.What’s the moral of this story? They’ll look out for you here and they’ll be extremely professional and courteous even as you’re accusing them of potentially scamming you (thanks, Mike. You’re a good dude).

This is the Only place for flat repairs and new tires! When we were in Memphis at St. Jude’s they fixed my truck tire No Charge & were so polite! We were in & out in 15 minutes. Shreve City location is also very good.

Was very pleased with the service. I only need license plates light replaced. They were very accommodating and quick. I will definitely be taking more of my automotive work to them.

Really the only complaint is the prices are high. They do good work and are my go-to place for tire maintenance, brake pad installs and alignments. You can’t beat their alignments. The Tire Crew guys are the only others who can properly align a vehicle (4 wheel alignment). I saved $100 by shopping the prices on the same exact tire across 4 different places. So not the cheapest, but they are honest.

Needed a tire to be replaced due to a nail. Chose Gateway because I assumed that theyd be super efficient with tire issues vs. taking it to the dealer as I usually do. They had to order in the tire, so discussed a time to return for the work to be done. They suggested that I come first thing in the morning (7am) to get in and out quickly since I start surgery at 8am. I respect the time of my patients, and I dont like being late. Tried to have them order the tire to the Gateway location closer to my office, but the guy said that Id have to go over to that location and have them look at my car to do that. Interesting. So I stuck with this location. Showed up at 6:45am, before they opened, just to make sure that I was first in the door. Reminded them that I needed to be out by 7:30. Paid up front to save time on the back end. Got my car back at 7:55 with greasy fingerprints on the light gray leather armrests and center console. Not impressed with the timeliness and cleanliness of the service. Maybe the lack of cleanliness inside my car was partially my fault for rushing them as the time drifted later and later. I would have appreciated an accurate representation of the time needed to complete the tire change. Had they accurately told me the time it would take, I would have brought the car back after I finished at the office rather than before. There are posters all over the customer center talking about customer service. The guy at the desk left a lot to be desired in that regard, however the tech who did the initial check on my tire was very friendly and informative. Next time, Ill go back to the dealer, where they dont have posters but instead have actual customer service. Im not interested in management reaching out to me, as they seem to have attempted for other subpar reviews.

It was great. They plugged my tire that had 2 nails in it for free. While I honestly appreciate it the guy that checked me out was a bit of a GOOBER. The gentleman that checked me in was awesome and made up for the aforementioned G.

I called and spoke to Mike McCoy and explained my dissatisfaction with Sams Club tire center, and their incompetence suspected was varified. The balancing of my tires that Sams had done was worse than bad.Do not go to Sams Club for tire work, this was the second event concerning tire balancing at Sams.I highly recommend Gateway Tire and their staff especially Mike. As a former Home Depot associate I can fairly state that Gateway knows customer service!!

This is not the first time it has taken forever just to find out why my tire is leaking air. Last time I was here 3 hours waiting for an oil change, now Ive been here over 2 hours and they still havent even pulled my car in. They do great work just having a hard time having patience for something so simple that shouldnt take half a day to get done

We called at 10 on a Saturday to ask if they could put in headlights I had ordered for my daughter online. We thought a friend could put them in as the price was quite high at another garage - they said - Come on in, and well take care of it! We left the car at 10:30 and it was ready by 12:30. Dont know much about this place but 6 hours later I still havent been able to get a air and fuel filter replaced and radiator flushed even called to check up and was only told were working on it... Not much update but going to stay positive

They can do everything you need to your car and the prices are reasonable. The wait can be a bit long depending on the day since its first come, first served, and you may have to come back if there is another service they determine you need. The waiting room smells like tires, but there is free popcorn, a vending machine, a bathroom, and a tv that seems to mostly play the Andy Griffith show. Everyone has been nice there and its my go-to for tires.

This is the second time that I have been here. Both times were because something was stuck in my tire. Both times they fixed it and aired all of my tires up. Both times were at no cost to me at all. I highly recommend this shop because they do what is right and treat their customers with respect. When I need to spend money on tires, this is where I am going to go.

They have a special when I got 4 new tires I got to pay it off on their credit card with no interest for 6 months. I just found out that as long as you spend over $300 that same offer applies even after you open the account. I paid off my tires in 6 months so it is a great deal. And now if todays problem is $300 or more I will be able to pay it off with no interest gain for the 6 months which helps me out greatly. You have the time to pay it off without the interest. They are nice people that work there. Friendly, & as a woman I feel protected by them, not like I am an easy target. I had brought my moms car in & they found something wrong which if they had not told me could have damaged the car. It was very resonable price & the car rode better.

It was a little uneasy at first, but they took care of me. I will continue to do business with them. Great customer service by the management.

Didnt buy from here, but always heard good things about them. When I called up to get a quote for price comparison, the guy was pretty rude. Someplace else quoted me two different numbers - a lower price earlier in the week and a much higher one today when I was ready to order, so I called Gateway to get a comparison and see if the original quote I got was a mistake or if they were trying to scam me. When the Gateway person I talked to found out who I was comparing his quote to, his tone changed immediately and he became rude and argumentative - (paraphrasing) Well what do you expect? Were retail, not wholesale. Of course were going to be higher!, etc, etc. If you like their service and prices, then stick with them, but there are better priced places out there and they probably have more courteous (potential) customer service.

Never been here before and just needed my tires rotated. They quoted a reasonable price and after a longer-than-expected wait and then doing the work, they didnt even charge me at all. This kind of approach will bring me back when I have expensive work to be done.

Horrible service! Do not use this place! Dropped off truck at 7:45am for brakes and I was told it would take roughly 2 hours. I stopped by at 10:30am just to see if they were close to being done and they hadn’t even touched my truck. I was then told it would be 1 to 2 more hours because they were short handed due to a mechanic calling in sick. I called back at 1:45pm and they still hadn’t touched my truck. I picked up my vehicle at 3:00pm without anything being done to it.

Worst place ever! So far these people have stripped out bolt on oil pan. Stripped out 3 lug studs, 2 broke, the other twisted off. And since replacing the the one that twisted off, the car is now making some God awful noise. Thats coming from the wheel where the stud was replaced. Took car back they got noise to stop but put the blame on me. And 30 minutes later the noise comes back. The manager needs to be FIRED for hiring such lousy mechanics. The store is closed until Monday and I have no car to drive.

My family and I have used Gateway for years and I guess they think I am just some sucker who goes for well we mis - quoted that price ... by $120.00 for two tires, camon man ... I wont go back and if you do suggest you keep your hand in your pocket and on top of your wallet. Just because your on S port Bdale Hwy doesnt mean charge Highway Robbery!
