While I was traveling from Louisville toward Lexington, I passed a truck just before the highway went from three lanes back to two. After the pass, I began to hear something that sounded like there was debris caught underneath my 2002 Honda CR-V. I was able to get to a gas station about 2 miles up the road and noticed there was coolant dripping pretty heavily from the engine. I opened the hood and noticed that my serpentine belt had shredded into a million pieces. I looked online and Baileys was close by and had good Google reviews and ratings. I directed the tow truck to drop the car off there, not really knowing what to expect. I was traveling on the Sunday before Labor Day, so I wasnt able to get a hold of anybody until Tuesday. When I called, I talked to a gentleman and explained what had happened, and mentioned that there was coolant leaking fairly profusely from the engine when I finally got it pulled over. He told me that it more than likely over-heated, thus causing the very hot coolant to properly escape from the radiator. I cannot express how pleased I was to get that honest of a response from him, especially since he could have not said anything about it, he could have said he would have to look at it to tell, or he could have made it seem like there was possibly radiator damage. Anyway, a few hours later (that same day) I got a call back saying the car was ready and that the only thing that needed fixing was the belt itself. The total cost was around $125 for parts and labor! I was expecting it to be FAR more expensive, especially considering that can be the case for a traveling person whose car breaks down. When I went to pick up my car, the lady in the office was very nice, and one of the mechanics I talked to was friendly as well.I have noticed, however, since getting the car home and driving it for a bit, it appears to be dripping (I hesitate to say leaking) a little fluid. This wasnt the case before the belt broke, so I attribute the drippings to something that occurred during the break-down and not the repair.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with honesty, fair pricing, friendly customer service, and quality of the repair. I would highly recommend Baileys Service Center to anyone needing work done on their car.

I used Baileys Service Center for years when Roy and Wanda ran it. They was very honest, professional and work was done in a timely manner. Now due to their age and health their son Trever has been running their business. This guy is crooked, shady, very dishonest, not professional, aggressive and doesnt talk to customers with respect. Ive paid for my service there and had to take my vehicle somewhere else and pay also.. Please beware of taking your vehicles here. I highly dont recommend this place now. It will cost you big time!!

I have had several different vehicles worked on at Baileys over the years and have always found them to be very well priced while delivering quality service every time. They are absolutely the friendliest shop I have ever been in. Straight forward and honest.

I absolutely love this place! I have went to a few other mechanics and Baileys is by far the absolute best. The most important to me when having my car serviced is honesty.I’ve had them turn me away 3 times because nothing was wrong with my vehicles. Now who does that? Only good, honest, reliable businesses. And this is the most honest bunch I’ve have ever seen on my life. Anyone would be crazy to take their car to another mechanic.

You don’t necessarily trust the repair shop you’re dealing with. However, dealing with Darrell has been refreshing. He’s the most honest people I’ve ever dealt with.

My first experience with Baileys I thought was maybe a fluke, but NOT! My car had an electrical issue. Instead of making AN EFFORT on finding the issue, they just checked the routine options and then parked it outside for me to pick it up WITHOUT CALLING ME. Next time around was my old truck. It was at their shop for three weeks WITHOUT BEING TOUCHED. Their excuses were just a bunch of excuses. I think the lady working the front counter is too nice to be working there. Thats why I rated Baileys two stars instead of one. Theres NOT a single good mom and pop shop in Shelbyville. So, go check out Busted Knuckle near Lagrange. Thats the best place nearby.....hands down!!!

I’m giving them 5 stars based on past experience. Love these guys. Salt of the earth. Great work at fair price. However unless you personally drop off a vehicle, you can forget about any prompt service. Made an appointment 6 days in advance. Dropped off vehicle night before and they never even looked at it despite numerous calls stating I had to have vehicle back. Wait in shop if you want prompt service.

I was referred to Bailey’s by one of their family members that I worked with at a different company...he only referred me after I specifically asked him if He knew a “good” mechanic that wouldn’t make me instantly feel buyers remorse.(He knew I had been looking for a mechanic but didn’t try pushing his family business to make a dollar) This guy is legit the Hardest working guy you will meet, and is literally a machine in his focus and commitment...so when he told me about his family business and I asked him what he thought separated them from the other auto shops, he replied with “Our Dad gave us a strong work ethic...If you are going to do something, do it to the best of your ability and be proud to put your name on it. Most importantly, have Integrity and Treat people with Respect.” It’s simple, but you’d be surprised how few posses those attributes. I was sold.True story...my good buddy is a 25 yr master mechanic for one of the Springdale Automotive locations. I paid to have them do the full workup of my FJ to see what all needed to be replaced. He told me that even with his discount I would want to take somewhere else because this is a job Springdale prices outrages for labor costs. Long story short I had to get NEW AC CONDENSER(which is 10+labor hr job) and 4 new brakes/rotors. I got a few different quotes and was going with Baileys regardless...dropped my truck before even having quote. I had cheaper quotes, but I know the service or parts would have been garbage...I didn’t want cheap...I was looking for Affordable in this economy...Baileys provided that, along with quality by offering amazing warranties. If you are looking for a place that has southern values, operates with integrity, and gets the job done right...give them a call, I GUARANTEE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. (FYI...Baileys was $1500 then Springdale for the exact same job...keep in mind, I had quotes even lower than Baileys right now...that was Springdale discounted price...wow. Anyone who wants to call me out on that can private message me to see quote and paid receipt)Thank y’all for your hard work and doing an amazing job fixin up my FJ.

Had a great experience here. Had a brake issue with lines rusting out. They replaced all the metal lines and did it in no time at all. Best part was how affordable they made it. Love Wanda and Roy. Great family owned company who treat you like no mechanic I have ever been to. If you need honest and good work done bring your vehicles here.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. Business been around so long for terrible pricing people have to pay after work has been done. Bailey’s gives meaning to the words DISHONEST and SCAMMERS. The drive to Frankfort or Louisville for quality auto care is much more realistic than leaving it with these goons.

I only gave them three stars.. the work they do is outstanding but you may not get your car back when promised. .been waiting for my sons car to get a new water pump put on..order the wrong one twice ..now the tool to get everything in alignment broke and we are waiting to see if they can borrow one to finish his car..theyve had this car now for 4 working days and now it looks like its going to be one more.

They get no STARS!! I had to in order to post...Instead of them fixing the major issue, the reason why my car wouldn’t drive, I paid $500 for other minor things. The owner got my car together just for enough time to drive down the street and then it started doing the same thing I brought it there for. He gave another quote that was ridiculous plus my car was smoking when I left from there. They are CONS!!! I see why their building was paid for in the first year...Rip off...future lawsuits pending...
