Ms Jayme and Justina very helpful with getting apartment. My friend rented yesterday and brought me today. It doesnt look like it did before.I am happy to move here

I have lived here for almost 3 years. the neighborhood is nice and quiet. we’ve never had any problems with any neighbors. however there are a lot of bugs in the apartments. i live in a 2 bedroom and it gets really hot in the smaller bedroom because there are no vents and the ac unit doesn’t really help keep that room cooled down.as far as the leasing office jamie is really rude and judgmental. constantly rolling her eyes and very short when communicating. often acting like i am inconveniencing her when i come in there. if you have a package delivered to the office the postal worker is supposed to put a slip in your mail box. you then take the slip to the office to get your package. a lot of times the slip never gets put in the mailbox so when i go in to get my package they act annoyed and rude because i don’t have a slip. even though it’s not my fault.other than that i have enjoyed my stay

Very helpful staff! Area is much cleaner and friendlier than this time last year.Jamie worked me through the entire process and moved me right in.

My application process, touing the model and working with both Alyssa on the phone and Jamie in person was a wonderful, easy to deal with quick experience. It is obvious that this property has been undergoing much needed changes. I am excited to be a motivated, involved tenant helping pick up trash from those that do not show respect and am in talks with Jamie about starting community clubs.

If you are trying to climb the ladder of success J, beware of the people below you. Not always, but sometimes they have to manipulate and throw others off that same ladder your climbing if that is their only skill set to get to the top Jdistrict manager. Sorry, i hope you dont break a leg on the way down J. Your to nice for your on good, push over. Your to docile and border-line submissive for the job you have......my opinion only. 1ST amendment the freedom of speech practice it and know it. Sorry your getting in a pinch, but you dont have a reason to protect employees that get you this pinch because of pure laziness, to relaxed in their job, no accountability, no integrity and poor social skills. To top it off, you have lazy liars that are to lazy to lift their on hand with their cell phone and provide evidence.

Michelle has always made our experience renting here very easy and laid back. Also a very safe area to live in. Never any crime or theft at this complex so a very safe area. Highly recommend!!! Very nice staff and also allows dogs 🐕 ♥️♥️

We have lived here for 2 years and very happy. The staff is amazing? Its a great property on the edge of town. Can not stress enough how much we love and appreciate the staff! They are the reason we stay!

As a prior resident (2005), I decided to lease again in 2019. I loved staying at Martin Estates. Michelle and the staff are extremely nice and attentive to my basic needs for an apartment. As a vet, which they are very affectionate towards, I wanted a quiet and comfortable place to live. I found it again with my stay here. Bought a home, but would still stay here if I hadnt.I would recommend, especially if you are considering either a temporary stay or a more permanent stay, give them a call and talk with them! They have various floor plans to choose. If you need a bigger apartment or different floor level, they can assist you in switching to another apartment very easily if you need to.Love this place, would suggest them to friends and family!Bryan

We love it here! Got a problem? Well they got this! Bob and Amber showed up super quick and handled my issues immediately! They were not only professional, but quick and kind! I would highly recommend Martin Estates to friends and/or family! Price is right, staff is right.. good place. Thanks guys!

Very nice community. The grounds are well taken care of, and the apartments are nice as well as affordable. The maintence crew seems to be on point, and they respond very quickly to all concerns. The office staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They were very helpful a d had answers to all of my questions. I am very impressed with the whole operation.

As a single mom moving can be very stressful however I am beyond thankful for the ladies in the office at Martin Estates for making my move-in process stress free. They make you feel right at home the moment you walk in the door. Any questions or concerns, they are very knowledgeable and helpful. The community is just pure awesome. I couldnt have chosen a better place to call home.

You will not have a greater group of folks dedicated to ensure the best experience as possible as a tenant, than the people at Martin Estates. No matter the challenge, Kara, Michelle, Robert, Amber and Jenny are there to listen and help. All Ive ever had to do was pick up the phone or stop by the office and they have listened to my concerns. When they can, they act immediately. If its something that requires a bit more context, or perhaps cannot be acted on immediately, they take the time to explain what options are available and have always included me in the resolution process, when they can. What a great support team!

As of December 2020 they still dont have heat there.

I love these apartments because you actually get more apt (space) for the money. The office staff are always pleasant and willing to help. The grounds and building are well maintained while management is still making improvements..

As a resident I have been so pleased with management and her staff. When I met them I knew this would be my new home. They all made a great first impression. Hats off on the grounds and landscaping!! GREAT JOB..

I have had a pretty good experience with Martin Estates. Its very close to the interstate which is very convenient. The girls who have helped me out in the office are very sweet an personable

Very undercover sneaky racist management. One of the ladies in the office banged on my door on a SUNDAY and cursed me out over an extension cord that I was willing to remove out of the hall and threatened to cut it up if I didnt unplug I agreed and she still cussed me out. I do not recommend anyone to Martin Estates. Tenants and management are too nosey. Save your MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE if you are not Caucasian.

Lived here for a year. Nothing but awesome. plan on re-signing lease. Any issues i have had have been dealt with in a timely manner.EDIT: please read your lease agreement. Now read it 4 more times. Good luck with getting in contact with their corporate office after you move out. property staff is great. Really horrible experience with corporate office after I moved out.

Nice apt community at the edge of town, clean newer type units, prices are a bit high but the units are nicer than most in town. Office staff is friendly and helpful. Grounds are kept looking nice, small pets allowed, and credit check required.

The property is amazingly kept. The maintenance guys are so helpful and prompt. The office ladies are always in good spirits and my kid is always safe playing here. I just cant say enough good stuff about this place.

Leasing was very easy, staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Love my new home! Apartment is well maintained, grounds are kept, and plenty of parking. Would recommend highly.

The office staff are Awesome. Maintenance crew are very cool. Any time Ive had any issues the office staff were quick to help.

Maintenance here sucks. We have been waiting months for them to fix our closet door and about a month for them to replace the washer and drier. There have been at least 3 groups of Maintenance men since I have been here about a year. They dont have uniforms on and I would be surprised if they were actually certified. I will call the BBB and find out. Management seems to rent to the lowest scum on earth. Lots of drug traffic comes through here. We will be moving asap unless something changes. They only clean once a week or other week. The management dont seem to know how to handle the situations here.

The place is really nice. And the staff is really welcoming and very helpful. The apartment is a great size and very spacious.

I travel all over the country and this is by far the worst place I’ve ever rented from. The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional, stopping my dinner guests who brought a dish and telling them that they couldn’t stay at my apartment, to which they responded that they were guests and did not live there. The manager clearly has a problem with Hispanic people, as my Hispanic friend had someone cutting the catalytic converter off her car and it was stolen and the manager refused to cooperate and give a statement. Other people with Hispanic spouses have had incidents as well and felt the same while living there. They violated so many fair housing laws while I was there, it’s not even funny. There were numerous car break ins and the property has no cameras, as I had a spare tire stolen out of the back of my truck and was told they have no surveillance. I had to call corporate several times because of the sub par level of professionalism. The halls always smelled like pot, the manager was EXTREMELY rude to us on numerous occasions as well as other friends we had that stayed in the community (I want to clarify that the manager, Michelle, was very professional, it was her counterpart that I’m speaking of). We paid $949 for a run down basic, dated apartment with doors off the hinges, cabinets held together with shims, windows that didn’t work, and carpet so disgusting that I put on the move in form that it needed to be replaced. We had roaches trapped in between our screen and window, so we could never open the windows. It’s not worth the money for what you get. In 10+ years of traveling for work I’ve never experienced anything like I did at this place. How they have a 4 star rating is beyond me, unless they get their friends to write reviews, because if you notice, most of their 5 star reviews are from people who have never given a google review to any other establishment, only this complex, which should be a huge red flag. There are too many other affordable places to rent in Shelbyville to deal with what you have to go through there.

I lived there for 4 1/2 years, I went through 7 managers and lord knows how many maintenance persons. Every year my rent would go up every time I would complain about having them fix something. When I left they wanted me to pay for repairs that the many maintenance persons would start, but never finished, because they were fired of just left. Then Id have to tell the new managers, to get it fixed. Never happened. They would show up, look at it and say they would have to get some supplies, then never see them again. Other thing would be, kids running through the halls, pulling the fire alarms at least once a week. People ran into my car 4 times just parked there. If you like living in a slum lord apartments this is the place you need to live in. If you move there, I sorry youve just got screwed.... Dont do it...Dont even think about it...

It’s was a rally nice place. If you don’t mind wild mice German Roaches. It takes for ever to get anything fix. Management is extremely hostile.

Seriously worst complex ever . It’s filthy dirty ... halls always smell like pot and handle themselves pretty unprofessional... I put my dog on the pourch for 30 minutes and they called animal patrol on me saying it was animal abuse ! It was 60 degrees she had food and water and I’m abusing my animal who is like my child .... I will never recommend this place to anyone ever . It’s pretty awful .

This complex is a place you do not want to move to this is a infested place with rats roches and bed bugs. They will try to make you pay for the pest Bill when according. To the housing authority the management of the apartment is supose.to pay. Be careful the manager sucks she curses people out for the simplest things . If you tell her anything. Or Complan of anything. That they need to fix youll be waiting .
