Excellent and professional dentists office, ranging from my top notch dental hygienist, Alma, to a superb dentist, Dr. Curelli, who Ive seen for years in 3 different offices (his own practice/office now).Hes an excellent dentist with the greatest TLC (hard to find in most dentists Ive encountered) and really cares about his patients best well being while showing it, making the patient comfortable and relaxed. The new office in the Tallman building is much nicer layout than the last one and so well-appointed - the decor is cool and looks great!

The front office staff were knowledgeable and helpful when I called to schedule an appointment. It was nice to actually get a call back on New Years Eve! When I arrived today, the first thing I noticed was that rather than marking off seating to encourage social distancing, there were only a few places to sit in the office, spaced a responsible distance apart. I really appreciated that. The staff were all wearing masks that appeared to fit snugly, which I also appreciated. The dental assistant was professional and effective. I noticed that she always had me spit twice during suction, which was very helpful. I found Dr. Curalli himself to be professional, pleasant, transparent, and effective. I came in with a crown that was sat too high (performed elsewhere) and he wriggled it off and seated the crown correctly on first attempt. There was no fumbling or uncertainty and the cementing was over before I knew it. I was very happy with my visit and would recommend Dr.Curalli and his staff to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Came for a cleaning and to get invisiline. Had a cavity which was filled quickly. Had some twist and turns around the way with the invisiline but Dr. Curalli navigated them with ease. I now have a healthy and aligned smile. Definitely will be coming back for my future dental needs.

I was recommended to see Dr Curelli, by my wife who’s is also a dentist, after many years of seeing a different dentist. Now I know why other dentists recommend to see him. At my first visit he was very transparent, educational and efficient. After several more visits, I decided to ask him him to fix my transplant that my previous dentist did such a poor job that food keep getting stuck in between my teeth after every bite of food. I literally flossed after snack, food that I had. He gave me several options. I chose the option without replacing my transplant and much cheaper. Guess what, it worked. Is been 6 months now and my tooth is doing great, no more food stuck in between. I wish I could give Dr Curelli 10 stars but I’ll put 5 as that is all I can put.

Dr. Curalli is very friendly and personable. He is also good at hiding the needle/syringe so you never see it even when he is putting it in your mouth. That was most appreciated. The secretary is also very sweet but I cant remember her name. I moved or Id still be going.

I would recommend this dentist to anyone I know. I like the state-of-the-art equipment and the knowledgeable staff. The hygienist was very thorough and gentle and made sure that I was comfortable. I felt like I understood everything that was going to happen and it was well explained. I had to get a few fillings done and the experience was better than I expected with no pain and I havent had a problem with them since! Overall a great dental office and you should check them out.

I had my front teeth worked on. I had some fillings done previously and felt they weren’t quite right. Dr. Curalli felt if I was unhappy with them that he could redo them and make it look better. I trusted him. He has an excellent eye. If it doesn’t look good, he wouldrather make it right then rush me through, get paid and call it good. When he was done I was very pleased with the result. I have recommended him since then to family, friends and neighbors. He takes the time to make sure it looks right and that you are happy.

I had to have a large, visible filling replaced on a front tooth and needed it to still fit into my Invisalign retainers. Dr. Curalli did a phenomenal job with it. The color matches, its perfectly symmetrical, and it feels even with the rest of the teeth.I was nervous going into the procedure but he helped me feel at ease; he asked what questions I have before we started and talked me through everything that was happening during the prep. He used surgical precision to match the tooth perfectly with the one next to it. Thank you Dr. Curalli!

Beware!!! I took my 11yo son to see Dr. Curalli after recommendations on Facebook. We went for a typical annual exam and cleaning. Imagine my surprise to receive a $200 dollar bill AFTER insurance. Fees are exorbitant. I highly recommend avoiding Smile Ballard.

Dr. Curalli has a very warm and friendly bedside manner. He is focused on making sure you are comfortable with any decision and will gladly take the time to explain if you have any concerns. Would definitely recommend.

Worst experience ever! 1 star is a me showing mercy, or me not realizing how to do zero stars. Dr curali came off like a used cars salesman. He up charges for everything. I received a $700 dollar bill for mouth guard I was told by his staff my insurance covered. I later found out that my insurance didn’t cover it. When I asked if they would work with me on pricing I was told NO! And from now on I would have to pay for everything up front and then have my insurance company reimburse me. What an insult. I was also told I had 9 cavities. I’ve never had a cavity in my life. I received a second opinion and was reassured I had zero cavities. Unnecessary charges! Unnecessary pain! Beware! Your bad post will mysteriously disappear!

I have had severe dental problems for a little over a decade and have been to many dentists of various calibers in that time. After relocating, I needed to find a new dentist to address several issues, including a crown that had fallen off. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Curalli and they worked me in very quickly, even though I was a new patient. When I asked to reschedule at the last minute to avoid a protest nearby, they immediately switched me without any problem. Upon actually being seen, I found Dr. Curalli to be knowledgeable, polite, and positive. He appears to be one of those rare people who is sort of quietly confident, up for a challenge but also pragmatic, which I appreciate. As my appointment was more of an intake, I havent actually been treated yet, so I will update my review later, following treatment. However, my first impressions were excellent and I look forward (as much as one can) to working with Dr. Curalli and staff to get my mouth healthy again.Summary- The Clinic: Clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and conveniently located. Also, good music and artwork, for those who care.- Receptionist: Very nice, polite, accommodating, and clearly takes her job seriously, while remaining personable.- Hygienist: I saw Inga and she was very nice, diligent, and accommodating. Also took great X-rays on the first try.- Dr. Curalli: Very understanding and non-catastrophizing. Having struggled with dental problems for years, with limited resources with which to address them, one of the most miserable parts of having a new dentist is going through the *oh my God, we have to fix everything right now!!!* moment and then being guilted because I cant. Dr. Curalli actually listened to me and remained calm and positive, while also being straightforward about what we need to prioritize and what *I* need to do at home to make his efforts worthwhile.Overall, Im about as happy as anyone can be when facing down multiple dental procedures.

Because it was so advanced she needed to numb me. I was very impressed with her as she told me step by step what she was doing and why. I was surprised with how little discomfort I felt. Overall it was a great experience. I’ll be back!

From my first contact with this office, my experience has been nothing short of great. I moved from another city and Jan worked with my old dentist to make sure all my records were transferred over efficiently prior to my appt. Then she called me when they had a new patient cancellation and got me in a week early. My hygienist was Lyndsay and she did a great job. Finally Dr. Curalli came in and spent quite a bit of time with me going over everything. The entire visit could not have been better! I would recommend this office to anyone. Looking forward to working with them for a long time.

Since I started going to Smile Ballard to see Dr. Curalli I havent had anxiety attacks about going to the dentist. They dont make me feel badly about what a low pain tolerance person I am. They always make me feel better with some new gel or ways to help my teeth and mouth care in general. They are kind and polite and super calm! I seriously couldnt ask for a better fit for me!

Moved to Seattle from Chicago and started seeing Dr. Curalli for an implant. He is a great dentist and I recommend him to all my friends and coworkers. My wife visited Dr. Curalli for a cleaning and was told she had a cavity on her front tooth. He determined that she needed a root canal, a pretty standard procedure, and everything went wrong from there. The initial crown that was ordered was lost in the mail causing weeks of setback. Meanwhile my wife was wearing a temporary tooth that did not match to color of her other teeth. When the crown arrived, and was put in, the tooth underneath had darkened, causing it to turn black. This caused us to go back to square one and start the process all over. This caused my wife to have to go through the procedure again. While waiting months for the new tooth to arrive, my wifes second temporary tooth kept falling out causing discomfort and embarrassment. When the (now third) crown finally arrived, it was wrong yet again. This was not only a personal opinion, but one that was shared with Dr. Curalli who said, Im still not sold on it. After a six month process, hours of operations, and lost time at work we were left with zero confidence in Dr. Curalli as a dentist, and a temporary tooth that continues to fall out. After allowing him to rework the tooth 3 times, we have decided to go somewhere else. When asked if he would financially help us get this taken care of elsewhere, due to the time, money, and anguish this cost us. He refused. This has been the worst dentist we have ever gone to. I wish this experience and frustration on no one.

This dentists office tops any other Ive had, ever. I was referred here by my old dentist up in Bellingham, WA, and Im so glad! Ive had cavities basically my whole life, and every single time I went to the dentist, it seemed like they were very eager to tell me I needed 4 or 5 more fillings. Granted, I didnt grow up with the *best* dental hygiene, but still! It was different with Dr. Curalli -- he definitely didnt seem super trigger-happy when it came to telling me I needed fillings straight off the bat, which I super appreciated. Hes always been very clear and helpful in describing everything thats going to happen during an appointment, and the dental hygienists/assistants have all been very kind and good at their jobs as well. Jan (at the front desk) is amazing and very responsive; I have a primary and secondary insurance, neither of which is always very responsive, and she has been so patient and willing to deal with them for me, and for that Im extremely grateful. Ive already referred people here in person -- Id recommend it for you too, if youre looking for another dentist! (I even decided to keep this dentist after I moved from SLU to the International District even though it takes me almost an hour to get there by bus -- its worth it to me to stick with Dr. Curalli and Smile Ballard!)

I am a new patient at smile ballard and so far have found the staff and Dr. Curalli to be friendly, knowledgable and patient. I felt that they took a lot of care to talk with me and explain exactly what they saw and recommend. A great practice!

I recently had my teeth cleaned at Dr. Curallis office and I will certainly be going back. Scheduling online is easy, and they send reminders and confirmations to your phone via text if they cant reach you by calling. Parking was easy to find when I went for my cleaning, and they were able to get me in right on time. My dental hygienist was gentle on my teeth and gums (Im a bleeder) and, even though my appointment was scheduled for two hours, they were able to get my teeth cleaned in about half the time. Dr. Curalli was very friendly. He reviewed my oral health with me, and offered a few suggestions for how his team could work to further enhance my smile through the use of Invisalign or composite veneers if I was interested. Jan was able to answer any of my insurance questions and, overall, Dr. Curallis staff did a great job of making sure I was treated well. As I said before, I will definitely be going back.

I went to Dr. Curallis office after a not so great experience elsewhere. Everyone at Dr. Curallis office are welcoming and make you feel at ease. The dentist can be a nerve wrecking place to be, but I felt comfortable and at ease while I was there. Lee, Becky and Dr. Curalli were all patient and understanding. They have your best interest at mind and dont push unesscesary dental work on you. I have found my new dentist.
