The white center food bank provides a vital service to the diverse community of southwest Seattle, distributing food, supplies and, most importantly hope to a community trying to cope physically, emotionally, and financially with the ravages of covid-19

I had concerns about rodents and food that the community donated and left outside the building but after calling the food bank and expressing my concern immediately the staff notified the manager and called me back to assure me that the food donated that was contaminated is thrown away for that exact reason, So leaving food outside the building is the Cause of the problem! please let’s not do that. I was advised that there’s a fridge in the far left of the building that can be used to put the food inside to save it from the critters and also can use the barrels placed in Safeway Roxbury for donations. It’s a relief to know that the staff at our food bank cares about safety of the community, thanks for that, we all want to stay the safest posible👍🏽

Sometimes they can be really slow and sometimes I leave with a total of 3 meals and bunch of food that is a day or two from expiring but overall the people are really nice and there have been days were I come home with so much food. It doesnt matter the food is donated and i get what i can get. Staff is super friendly and really like the way the food bank is set up. I really do appreciate what you guys so keep it up!

People are nice, there always looking to help,the food is good you get a. Variety of food. Meat, rice,veggies, fruits, everything you need to stay healthy.

Dont understand if they make a copy of your ID why do they need to see it every time you go. Went there during last year holiday and I could only get a alreadyade up bag of a bunch of stuff I couldnt use

Great food selection and friendly staff/ volunteers. Works in collaboration with West side baby to give formula and diapers to familys in need. It is kinda hard to find, but totally worth the search!

The foodbank is great, the people are very friendly and they let you select what you want. Its helping me out greatly.

If it weren’t for the White Center Food bank I am not sure how we would have made it. The volunteers are great and helpful. Always willing to lend a hand if you need it.

If you need extra help & you have small children this place helps. Myself, daughter & daughter inlaw were able to get baby diapers & even clothes for the kids here for free.

They let me show up when they were closed and gave me really good food.Very nice people there. St vincint gives away more food this the 4 star.

Have tough times Im A bit pregudice unfortunately ! Survive, want, need, understand, what is fair ?, Im trying to understand .... sometimes you give your heart and get spit on . I would love to be involved in working with the system....

Long lines, people shove, some of staff are very cranky. Food selection is OK, as with any foodbank, check expiration dates. Ive gotten great food but Ive also gotten food that went bad in 2012! Also you can only go once a month during the day, and once at night. We tried going last night and it was so crowded we couldnt even park. Well, that was due to some bad parkers, but the place was packed out the door so we had to leave. If youre really in need, dont have anxiety issues, and in the zip code area, they are open MWF 11-1.
