Beds and equipment dont work half the time. The Nursing staff is short handed. Although I understand the 1 vistor a day (which pretty much no Covid precautions are in place but mask), visitors are not allowed to eat or drink and are not allowed to go to the cafeteria to get anything and eat down there. Cannot leave the floor and if you do, you are denied re-entry even if you are FULLY VACCINATED. It takes forever to get help for a patient so your vistor is your best option to even be somewhat comfortable, help when the bed doesnt work, or help you to the bathroom. For a world class surgeon/ surgery facility, the after care/recovery is probably the worst in the Seattle and surrounding areas I have ever seen.

I do not recommend this place if you need help in a timely manner. I was referred here by my doctor and it took 2 months to even have a consultation because I called multiple times to schedule an appointment and only reached voicemail. After the consultation I was put on a waitlist and told it could take 4 months. Well 6 months after the consultation I receive a call that Im still on the waitlist and they havent forgotten about me. I was told I would be on the waitlist at least another 4 months.Disappointing that waiting a year for help is considered acceptable by HCSATS.

I am currently in week 10 of the CPT program and its been life changing. Kayla is amazing. Its so emotionally and mentally exhausting, but when you reach the beautiful breakthroughs its all worth it.

I underwent CPT for PTSD and learned a lot of great tools. The work is worth the relief, but you have to put the effort in yourself! It’s very rewarding to see your progress.

Referred here after being trapped in a burning building and still not being able to spend time inside my new place, I finally got an appointment with Alison Sands. She told me they schedule new clients for four appointments at a time. First, she has me relive my trauma then she told me to go home and look up some videos on the Veterans Administration website about different treatments that were available, saying they explained it better than she could. So I returned for my next appointment and she asked me if I had watched the videos (yes) and did I think any of the treatments would help. I told her I didnt know (the videos were vague, and so were Alison Sands answers to my questions about them). But I said I was willing to try, I could barely go grocery shopping without having to flee the store and go outside. She then Googled a list of phone numbers, apparently only searching for whatever treatment it was without even finding out if I qualified for care at any of those places. I took one look at the list and told her I would need to talk about it with her more before I called them, and so I had to go back the next week. I sat in her office and called those numbers, to no avail (most were for children and families, which does not apply to me, many others were not taking new clients at that time, and a couple had waiting lists that were 5-6 months long). Alison Sands did not bother to do any real research on my behalf. When she said that was all I qualified for on my insurance, I told her that one weeks pay at my full-time job covered all of my monthly bills, and I could easily afford to pay the fees of $130-170 per session, even 2-3 times a week, that some of these places were charging. She said she didnt want me to spend alot of money, but I told her if it worked, it would be worth it. She kept saying it was too much money, no matter how I tried. She simply said, I feel like Ive dangled hope in front of you only to snatch it away as she walked me out of the office. I called and left a message with her supervisor a few days later. There was ZERO follow up. These guys are only interested in your insurance money - three expensive sessions of NO treatment at all, then abandoned with no follow up. Definitely a trauma center, theyre pretty good at adding to your trauma. Edit: the other review is a personal friend of Alison Sands, ethically unable to review, and my insurance was not the issue (the issue was that Im single, not a mother, not a child, not a teenager, not suicidal, not a minority, not a drug addict, and not hospitalized for mental health problems - so I did not qualify for any program they ran, even though I had two different insurance policies - one was the best available single person plan available through my employer, and the other was Medicare.) This review appears more recent because it has been edited for clarity. Be aware if you go into this facility, you will not be respected as a person, and if you also post a fair review, they will attempt to publicly humiliate you by implying youre too poor to afford proper care. The simple fact is that Alison Sands was very lazy - she would not (or could not) discuss the treatments with me in detail (referring me to outside sources) and she did not have ANY knowledge on hand about ANY treatment other than the one offered there in that building (in the basement as she put it), which I would have qualified for if I told her I was actively suicidal (in which case I would have been forcibly hospitalized - not a good way to get into treatment). She flat refused to analyze my actual financial situation to see what I really could afford. And when I left a detailed message on her supposed supervisors voicemail a couple days later, I did not receive ANY follow up call or contact of any sort. So I posted this review - there was no other review on Google for this place at this time. The other one appeared the next day. Do the math.

This is the best place I have ever been for treatment and I have been to many in several states over many years. I am finally on the path to real health.Treatment is not easy, it is a lot of hard, painful work but this is worth it.Our society is not very kind to those needing mental health help and it is hard to find insurance courage let alone good coverage.Sometimes you can have a real need for help but insurance will not help.Dont believe she was Googling treatments she had heard of but was trying to find places that offered that kind of treatment and accepted patients with her insurance or no insurance. This is a place of kind, compassionate caring people that do what they can for others. I am very glad that I have worked with them.

They were very helpful for me. Always treated me with dignity and respect and referred me to a wonderful therapist in their Redmond branch who spent almost a year with me. I had been unable to work due to crippling depression and had no insurance but that was never an issue. We worked on my depression and PTSD. When I finished therapy I was told I could always return if needed. Im not cured but Im a functioning adult now with a job and learned a lot of coping mechanisms. We processed everything which helped immensely - Im not reliving the trauma events the same way anymore. My therapist was always well prepared and we picked up right where we left off the week before. HCSATS was a great experience from start to finish for me.

This place sucks. Alison Sands was also my therapist and I left much more traumatized than when I came in. I was there for sexual assault.
