Guy was super rude. I asked him for a cut showing a models image and the way i wanted on my hair. He was hesitant to listen and when I asked to confirm on his understanding he asked like whether it was my first experience in a barbershop. Well actually Yes! First time to this kind of barbershop!

Ive taken my 13-yr old son to Smittys 4 times now and have had stellar experiences every time. My son loves his cuts from there, way more than Rudys and its less expensive. Both Ben and Lou are great. Highly recommend.

Worst experience in any store, of any kind, in 10 years living in Seattle. I imagine hes going for a mafioso(?) vibe, but it comes out as rude and hateful. Wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. Dont bother trying to get a walk-in unless you want to be told to f* off and mocked for wearing a mask.

My favorite barber in Ballard. Always a perfect cut, great conversation, and the best bang for the buck! No bs hipster prices from a hard to find old school barber. Classic straight razor neck shave, don’t pass that up. Only takes reservations now, but def worth it.

Nice barber and great haircut. Was very professional and conscientious about Covid and sanitation.

We took our 2-yr old boys in for a simple trim. The cut they both got was great! And WAY cheaper than other places who cater to kids. They didn’t sit in cars for their haircut, but they changed the TV to cartoons and were very good with the boys. We’ll be back!

Phone message says no appointment open on june 2 due to covid everyone must wea r mask, ok great arrived was asked by the son, if i had called? Yes 5 times i listened to the long detailed message over the last month.. now here on june 2 with mask told to make appointment?? Then Told they dont take appointments, but once you get there in person you are forced to make an appointment?? I asked them to change there phone message so customers could be prepared... was told to have a nice day with hand motion to get out.Was my favorite place ... never againSon was rude and aggressive..

Just went here for a hair cut. The Barber was really nice. Hair cut was nice. Very small shop. Doesnt seem like the type of place you would go to get a fancy hair style. For standard hair cuts they do well.

20$. If your getting a buzz this place is fine. As someone else said though anything past that is too complicated. Will roll through your haircut, doesnt take the time to make sure your sideburns are lined up.Worst part: they stick a shop vac that smells like its never been cleaned on top of your head to clean loose hair.I know some guys probably just want a buzz then this place is perfect for you.

Been going to Smittys my whole life. Two locations, multiple owners, always a good barber shop. New location has better parking. Rarely a long wait. Still an old school barber shop despite the new building.

Worst customer experience I’ve ever had.

They act like they hate you when you enter. After asking and talking about a hair style the guy just gave me his haircut which I did not ask for or want.

DO NOT GO HERE if youre a young guy looking for a good, clean basic fade. Asked the barber if we could go a little bit closer (simple ask, mind you) and he got frustrated saying it was a whole new haircut and Id be charged for teo cuts. Literally I had to shut up, take the haircut, and proceed to another place to get it fixed. Never had that reaction from a barber before!

Go somewhere else! Luckily my hair will grow back. I asked for a simple mens haircut and provided a picture of myself after my last haircut. I ended up with a lopsided buzz cut with some hairs longer than others.
