I used this place for the last 3 years. I have never run into such rude people. Not all employees are trained, so the first time I went there the woman that helped told me I did not have all the correct paperwork. When I returned a gentleman helped me and told me I didn’t need it! Both times waited in the parking lot for over an hour. I have switched to the place on Ranier. They are well staffed and in and out in 5-10 min.

Dont bother calling this place, they will never pick up the phone. if you want service you MUST wait in line in the parking lot.Staff isnt necessarily rude but it seemed like they were intentionally giving me a hard time. Moved here from out of state and the lady assisting me tried to tell me my documents werent valid because they were a few years old. Thankfully her coworker stepped in and let her know that they were valid. One employee had a shirt on that read Not today, KarenSeriously, avoid this business unless you are just picking up tabs you ordered online.

I went there to get a poetic license. They were all out. Still a lovely experience.

Friendly and efficient staff. Came in to get new plates and reg and was in and out of there in 15 minutes. No appointment needed. Also, with COVID-19 they have hand sanitizers and such set up. Social distancing can be a bit hard since its a small place and there was already a line. Masks on and wash/sanitize your hands, always!

This place never picks up the phone. Doesn’t matter what time you call and whether they’re busy or not. You just get forwarded to there voice message that they’re busy.

Fast, Friendly, Efficient! I have had great experiences with first time WA State registration (moving from another state) as well as registration renewal. The staff members Ive spoken with by phone have given accurate, helpful answers and very kind, friendly service. Each time Ive been in has gone smooth and quick! I actually go out of my way to come to this particular location.Thank you! Highly recommend!Small parking, convenient location, easy in/out.

I renewed my car registration online but needed to change some information. Called this place and they never picked up. Not going to choose this location next time.

They forgot to actually send my vehicle title after I paid them. When I emailed them it took 4 attempts over nearly a month to get a reply. The reply was that I would have to come back in and pay to have a duplicate title issued.

This place is one of Seattle’s best kept secrets always professional and courteous.

This place is a joke they charged me $162 for tags for 4 months when there only $73.00

Really poorly set up for Covid, with no real way to socially distance once inside. Wish they would take it seriously.

I went in for new tabs. Mine had been expired for nearly a whole year. I already knew they were gonna cost me a arm and a leg. So when i gave her my lic. plate # she told that i could pay $256 but they would only be good for 2 weeks and then i would need new tabs again for another 256!! I said no thank u and left. Then i went to the ballard DOL where they prorated me! I only had to pay a fraction of the 256 and then I was able to get tabs till 2022! Thanks ballard DOL!

The service is very good. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. All the information given were very clear and straight forward. Only take less than 10 minutes to change license plate from another state to WA.

This has to be the best license agency on the West side of the state. Theyre friendly, helpful and super quick. Its been very easy and fast every time Ive come in- perhaps off peak hours. I lost the title for a car I was selling and The gave me a new bill of sale doc and explained what I needed to do and issued me a title document.

How can I not give 5 stars? In and out in 15 minutes. Most importantly, the woman helping me was kind!

I went to ULA just to get a document notarized, and they were able to solve the main problem I was facing (transferring a car title from out of state having lost the original title).They are helpful and knowledgeable, I definitely recommend them!Only downside is that they dont take Visa credit card and some transaction can only be paid cash, but its a minor point.

Havent gone in yet (and probably wont), but I called these guys and the woman who answered was surprisingly rude. It came up that the car I want a registration for is from CA. She said I need some extra stuff. I said, oh thanks for telling me. I didnt see anything about that on the website. She snapped back, People just dont understand what they read. Whoa, where did this come from? I was thanking you and youre insulting me, now?

Used these folks for licensing for years. They are great. Youve got to wonder about the negative reviews with no names attached. Repeat review by one person? Ive never had a bad experience, and they are especially good with complicated licensing issues.

I bought a 2006 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic for $500. It needs a transmission and a bottom end rebuild. They would not tax me on what I bought it for. They wanted to tax me 9.8% on the suggested retail value of a bike in excellent condition....$10,400. I dont think so. I went to a different DOL office and they taxed me on $500. Exactly what I paid for the bike.

Ive used this agency many times over the years, and didnt realize how good they are until I visited the vehicle licensing agency in Renton. Yesterday. I went to the Renton agency (near my work), but the line was 15 people long and there were 2 people working. I hit the University agency on my way home, and there was no line (1 customer besides me, 3 agents working 3 windows).

My experience with the University License Agency was quick and most importantly the staff were very knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend!

They dont answer the phone even though it says to call on their website.

I have been at University Licensing two times now, and was always treated like I was a great customer. Always polite, and more importantly my business took a few minutes.

In 2012, I transferred my vehicle registration from CA to WA state - I didnt notice that the clerk at university license agency made an error and branded my vehicles title with Exceeds Mechanical Limits. I didnt notice the mistake (go me for being naive) since my vehicles registration had no mention of the above. I also didnt think anything like this would happen since my vehicle was barely two years old, Im the original owner, have low miles, and no mechanical issues whatsoever.Now flash-forward to 2015. Im at the AUDI dealership in Southern California, and I get presented with a CARFAX Report that shows this agency branded my vehicles title back in 2012! I contacted the DMV/DOL in Washington State, which confirmed there was a mistake made at this agency. Per the DMV, the clerk made a mistake inputing my vehicles true mileage and did not take the proper actions to correct this issue.Now when I contacted this agency to try and get some additional information, the clerk and supervisor I spoke with confirmed the error, but also added corrective actions were taken. The supervisor was kind enough to contact WA DMV in an attempt to gain some clarification - contacted me back and told me my vehicle is clear with no branded title.So hearing this on one end and that on the other end. What to believe? What to do?Now I am stuck with the mess and facing a potentially huge monetary loss over my vehicles current value. I wasnt able to get a solid offer on my car as a trade-in (worth around 15k), but was offered less than 5k due to this branded title.I just really hope these corrective actions were taken and I am trying to gather as much documentation as a I can to try and prove my vehicle doesnt have a branded title. I just wish whomever made the mistake back in 2012 would have been a little more careful.

Renewed my registration, told them that I was refinancing with another bank. They told me I did not need to change it. Had to come back a couple weeks later to change the name and it cost me an extra $37.

I seriously dont think the staff is happy at their job.I have visited University License Agency about three times in the past couple of months and every time I have had bad experience. The women at the front desk were very rude every single time. I wasnt sure if they were racist, sexist or just unprofessional.
