Had to come twice because I didnt know about the odometer disclosure. Both people who helped me were so patient and knowledgeable, and from what I could overhear it sounded like all the staff had those same attributes. It was amazing to be helped by people who behaved like they WANTED to help. Cannot express my appreciation enough.
Went there at 9:05am Monday. Had to wait ~45min to get seen (some folks got there earlier at 9). The line moved pretty quickly though, 12 people were ahead of me when I got there. At the counter the person helping me out was professional, courteous, and efficient. Would go back again.
So glad I ignored the negative reviews. Courteous, extremely well organized; still obsessively wiping down after each transaction even after the CDC decided it was time for a free-for-all. My lost title + title transfer transaction was handled with professional care, a little lee-way, and some knowledgeable info. In spite of the Monday line I was in and out in less than an hour.
Bellt ( I hope I spell it correctly)She is amazing, nice and helpful full!Thankyou
Staff was very thoughtful and helpful ! My number was called quickly despite there being many people in line.
Great covid protocols. Wiping down windows every so often, and every other window is open. Limited amount of people allowed inside, but there is covered side walk to wait in the rain.Title transfer took 15 minutes. People were nice and prompt. Cant complain.
They stayed open almost 2hrs after their closing time just to get everyone in. There was about 20 people waiting in line and they really tried to make sure every single person was helped. All of this right before memorial weekend!
A couple days ago I came into the business and I had a woman at window 3, I believe her name was Jen helped me! I had lots of questions that i needed answers to. And she was very efficient with answering them. She was a very happy go lucky gal and seemed to love her job working at this business! The inside of the building was also very clean and they seem to always make sure that the customers are happy with their services!
Perfect place if you enjoy waiting. Slow service, understaffed and rude associates. I was there to just pick up my “already paid for” car tabs.
This place was great. Service was fast and friendly on one of the hottest days of the year. Generally I go to the county building...but they are closed because of COVID (really? Private business show enough courage to open, but government buildings cant?). Rainier were actively wiping down surfaces and making sure people were far enough apart...all in all, a good experience for a business tasked with taking up the slack for government.
GREAT experience! I have visited this office for more than 4 times in the past 3 months, for selling my old car and register my new one. Shout out to Jennifer (sorry if i got the name wrong!!), whos super friendly, patient and professional every single time. I had a lot of issues with my paperwork, she helped make phone calls, and she was able to sort it out and provide detailed explanation on what to do! I really appreciate your help!In general my visits to this licensing office is always pleasant, they do well keeping the social distance, cleaning the service station after every customer. Theres usually a line outside, but it goes fairly quickly!
Been there two times in the past year and a half and each time I was in and out quickly. Today, I showed up 10 minutes before their closing time. I waited for about 8 minutes. My number was called. The gal who handled my issue was very friendly and upbeat. No hemming and hawing about coming in right at close or anything. Got me taken care of and out of there in no time. There was still one other person after me and I heard him being taken care of in the same manner. Thanks.
Well organized COVID protocols and friendly and helpful staff. Even with a line I was in and out in under 20 minutes.
Ive been coming here for a few years now, and theyve always provided fast and efficient service. Sometimes there is a line, but they strive to clear it fast. The office isnt pretty, but the service is what matters.
Customer service was awesome! Jennifer was the representative to service me. I brought all the paperwork I needed to get my vehicle registered which made the whole process smooth.I arrived 30 min early before they opened and there was a line started already I may have been the 12th person in line, I think they were allowing only 4 people inside at a time due to COVID and thats understandable, the line moved really quickly.Dont forget to wear your mask 😷 or you may not be serviced.
Shout out to Michelle! The level of service I received here was out standing. Obviously with the affects of COVID19, the experience of standing in line outside is tiring but guess what? We are all in this together. The level of cleanliness is definitely being taken into account and I loved the speed of service offered here. Thank you again Michelle for all your help and I will definitely recommend this location to anyone!!!
Nice staff, nice environment. Don’t be scared by the long line outside the office, they are only letting a couple customers into the office. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
Haters will be haters. What do you want in a licensing office? Snacks? Well maybe that would be pretty great but the point is they don’t serve snacks anywhere else either. They helped me with a vehicle valuation problem. There’s nothing wrong with this place and I found the staff to be really quite nice once I got to know them. Good people.
I showed up at 8:45 AM, stood in line for 15 mins. They opened the door at 9 AM and I was out by 9:10. Couldnt have been faster.
Great place to change your title, vehicle information, tabs, etc. People are very helpful and quick. I had no complications whatsoever. There was about 5-6 people ahead of me and and they got through them all fast! On a Saturday!!
More than 1 bad experience here. If it wasnt .4 miles from my home I would fo elsewhere. In fact I am this year
Terrible customer service. They may be pleasant, but they are of no help in understanding the document requirements to register a vehicle.Their staff needs better training, as well as a better understanding of how to work for a business. The Georgetown office is more professional, comprehensive and competant.
Staff was very helpful with switching my plates from FL to WA. Had previously gone into the Bellevue office and they had no idea what i needed to do or how to help and sent me away! The Rainer office had a short wait and got it done!
Downgraded one star because the waiting area is quite stuffy and small. Other than that, the line went very fast. Including my wait, my visit took half an hour. Come prepared with the right paperwork (ie do your homework online beforehand) and I imagine it makes for a much more pleasant experience. The woman who served me was perfectly nice.
The first time we tried to get our license plates, it was Friday before they opened, and there were already 10-20 people lined up outside, so we left. Next time we tried, it was 3pm on a Thursday, and we only had a 2 minute wait. The employee was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our only minor quibble is that she didnt ask if we wanted custom plates.
Don’t waste your time. Go to the Georgetown office. The lady behind the counter ( African American) couldn’t even pay attention to me long enough to realize I had a Vespa, and told me I needed to get emissions. I left confused, then the next day laughed at as I pulled into the emissions place in Renton on my scooter. The guy wanted to know what moron told me I needed emissions. I told him and went ahead and chose to avoid any further bafoonary byjust going to the Georgetown office. It’s privately owned and there are capable people working there. Eff the one on Rainier, terrible!,,,
If anybody ever made my life a living hell its these people. No use of heads, no understanding, and just plain bureaucratic nonsense. Three times Ive had to go back to this place. Were it possible to give zero stars I would!
WORST PLACE EVER. Especially the one girl that’s super ghetto and has no respect. This place has the worse customer service ever. It’s family ran and they all look clueless as far as a simple title question. I highly do not recommend this place. I’m surprise their still in business. They need customer service lessons and more education about dealing with vehicle issues.
Do not buy a discover pass with your vehicle registration through this place! I paid an extra $30 for it. The pass never arrived and Parks and Rec says they never received the request. Rainier Vehicle and Vessel Licensing wont talk about it without a receipt (which I lost), so I guess they get to keep my $30.
Short wait and polite! If you know what you need to get done and dont want to waste your time this is a great place.
Dont care what anyone else says about this place but they ROCK! When most are closed on Saturdays, these guys are open and get you in and out in no time. I got a trip permit today in under a hour driving from the eastside. Keep up the great work.
I would not recommend going to this DOL. I came in to retitle my totaled car, and was treated extremely disrespectfully. I spoke with both women at the counter, and one was more polite than the other. However, they both got frustrated with me for not understanding their brusk, rushed explanations of the process, and treated every question I asked as though it was stupid. The seemed to not have the time of day for me. I left and went to the Georgetown DOL, like Felisa did, and found kind, helpful ladies who got my paperwork done very quickly. They also found that Rainier had done my initial paperwork incorrectly, and replaced it for me with the correct paperwork. When apologized for my questions, Georgetown assured me that it was no problem, retitling a totaled car was a complicated process with many options, and that some confusion about it is nothing unusual. The further drive to Georgetown is worth it, I don’t recommend the unhelpful, rude location in Rainier!
I had to go to that office different times because every time I thought I was ready, they asked me for a different documentation. I had to ask them to write down exactly what I needed to make sure they will not make me go again. They seemed they didnt like their job.
Short lines the few times Ive been in. Clerks were for the most part quite helpful.
Is it necessary to wait 40 minutes just to get the tab???? Really, the whole process was only take 1 minute...
Very poor customer service and not very knowledgeable. Also extremely long wait times.
It has bad reviews for a reason ! Do not waste your time coming here.
I needed something beyond a basic tab renewal or title transfer. They kept telling me I needed to bring in more documentation, but couldnt tell me what they wanted or where to get it. The person I dealt with mumbled and spoke so softly that I couldnt hear her.
Always helpful and speedy service.
They must be work until 1pm on Saturday but they closed when I came a 12:40pm
Always friendly and delivers good customer service.
They didnt answer phone call
Fast, reasonably friendly and efficient. Ive been using them a lot of years
Super nice and helpful staff
Slow
They are really bad and they dont know how to talk to the peoples
Staff was not helpful over the phone. Could not do something over the phone that another licensing agency was able to do for me. Made the immediate switch.
Ok
