I scheduled with this company for someone to come and take a look at my thermostat, the indoor temperature has been off by few degrees. Furnance still works. The technician came, I told him the issue. He briefly checked and told me my furnace is working but will relocate my thermostat to a different area. The tech suggested replacing the thermostat. The cleaning and diagnostic, in addition to the new thermostat cost me over $1,000. I agreed to have the tech install a new thermostat, hoping it would resolve the issue. I noticed the indoor temperature (after new thermostat installation) is still off, tech assured me it would adjust soon. Throughout the day, the indoor temperature remained the same, at night time, it increased by two degrees (74F).I request Evergreen Heating and Cooling to do the right thing and not sell me product that it is not necessary and for it not to work. I demand your company sends someone else to recheck the work for free. I have a mom and young child who has asthma, I need the heat to kick in so they dont get sick. I thought having this company come would fix this but it doesnt... and only one task to do and still didnt do it right. Need help! Thank you!
Scheduling was quick and easy. They were upfront about the service call fee and quoted repair costs before doing any work. Technician was friendly, communicated clearly and effectively of what they were doing and what we could expect. Even gave tips on how to improve our set-up if we wanted (above and beyond) and was considerate of our home (including our cats). Great company. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

Evergreen was phenomenal to work with. They were prompt with scheduling a visit to create a quote and following up with the actual quote. When it came to the install they were communicative, perfectly on time, super friendly/professional, they did a beautiful job and were wrapped up way ahead of schedule. We couldnt be happier.

Evergreen installed a heat pump at our house. They did a great job and were very professional. They actually went above and beyond what I was expecting in terms of organizing the area our furnace is. The team leader was great with communication and explained how everything worked in an easy to understand way. I could tell that he and his team were serious about high quality work from the way they talked with each other.The front office helped with getting the inspections done and made it an easy process. They made scheduling everything really easy.The system they installed is working out great so far and really looking forward to having a cool house this summer.
Im disappointed to write this review. If I were only reviewing the installation team (Gaeb and Don) and the final product (a smoothly working ductless A/C system), then this would be a five-star review.However, as other reviewers here note, the customer service is very poor, and there were failures at multiple points in the process:1. Scott, who did the initial visit and quote, got several things wrong about how the installation was going to need to go. Most importantly, he did *not* warn us that the electrician would need to cut through dry wall and that Evergreen does not repair the damages it does (although the other members of installation team did patch up their work). A neighbor who also worked with Scott reports that he gave them attitude in response to some questions.2. The electrician needed us to choose between (a) having exposed wiring in the house or (b) cutting into drywall. We were given very little notice to make this decision and did not have time to think through the consequences and costs of this choice (since it was not easy to get him to the site). We chose (b), for which the estimated repairs are $900. Which led to...3. Evergreen does not take responsibility for that damage nor has any way to help customers get the repair. These are hidden costs that Scott should have told us about. When I spoke to the residential manager, Ryan, he was completely unhelpful. He merely repeated that this was common (so why dont they have a solution?) and its in the contract (which it is as a half-line item buried in the text). I then complained again to Ryans admin assistant, who passed me on to the general manager, Jamey. Jamey worked a little harder than Ryan to resolve the problem, but the solution still involved passing on the costs to us and ultimately was not tenable.To summarize: the installation team (except the electrician) is great, the sales and management team offer unsatisfying customer service. I strongly recommend you work with a company that offers better customer service and wont leave you with $900 worth of repairs at the end of the job.

This is an excellent company. I had Evergreen install a new ductless HVAC system. Their bid was very fair and the salesperson was on time and answered all my questions. Installation took three days as promised. Ive had the system now for two years and it has performed flawlessly. It still tests above spec. From beginning to end including two annual service calls Evergreen has met or exceeded our expectations . I highly recommend them to anyone needing heating and/or cooling equipment or service.
Evergreen replaced our ancient oil furnace with a brand spankin new Heat Pump system and its gorgeous.They had 3 teams working in parallel around different areas of the house (attic, individual rooms, backyard) to set the whole system up.They were scheduled from 8-5 everyday for 3 days. They did the work 8-noon and finished at 10am on Day 3. Super fast, super efficient. Love the work. Impressed.

We had a heat pump installed to replace our old oil furnace. From the quote process, to the installation, to the final walk through, Evergreen did a great job with the project. All 3 technicians were methodical, organized, and communicated clearly. They have high standards for their craftsmanship. We had a non-standard electrical setup and they were able to accommodate this with high quality problem solving. Overall our experience was great. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Mike was very quick, professional, and took the time to explain everything to me. He even showed me how to clean my filters if I wanted to clean in between regular maintenance. At a time when some companies were very difficult to get a hold of, Evergreen was responsive and able to schedule my appointment within a week or so of calling.

Costumer service was on point from beginning to end. The tech that came out was on time, polite and answered all my questions. Price was reasonable and service was above and beyond. Evergreen showed up on time and were finished when they said they would be! The workmanship looks great and everyone was really friendly. Very considerate of where they walked with shoes on as well! 100% would recommend.
I noticed the cold air in my house was not working so called Evergreen for service. They responded quickly and was able to send a tech out the next morning. I did not have an issue with the tech at all. I called Evergreen because I have used them in the past for the exact same thing so I was assuming this time would be the same but I was in for a major surprise. This time I was told there must be a coolant leak somewhere in the system so they would need to run a test to find it. They ran the test but the leak was never found and what was the end result, the whole thing ended up costing over $2k for what in the end was just replacing the coolant. Oh yeah did I mention the leak was never found and the costs for the leak test was $1,400 by itself. I ended up spending a mortgage payment to have the coolant in my system replaced. You should avoid this company if you do not want to be overcharged for services that you do not need. Gave them 1 star only because I had to.
Just a great local small business. From the sales process to install, I was impressed by the Evergreen team. I collected bids from several HVAC businesses and ended up selecting Evergreen because they offered a competitive price for exactly the services I was asking for, and were generally organized and responsive. The install crew arrived on time and the completed work just looked tidy. The install crew answered some of my questions about upgrades to filtration for summer wildfire smoke--I will likely have this team come back to perform this additional work.
I used Evergreen Home Heating and Energy to both repair and service my ductless system. They did a great job of keeping me apprised every step of the way with courtesy phone calls to let me know where things were at and what would happen next, and when. Extra challenging was finding the replacement part needed for my LG ductless system and they handled this great, especially since the previous service company that used to support my LG system decided to no longer do so. I was referred to Evergreen by Puget Sound Energy as part of their contractor referral network and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is in need of home heating and AC service but is not sure who to turn to.

Evergreen was suggested to us from Nextdoor and after calling them up, John Mott came to our house to provide us a quote. He was extremely nice and walked us through each and every part of the process and also did a thorough assessment of the kind of machine we needed to install and also provided a number of options.We went ahead to upgrade our system to a heat pump and on the way of the job, they were nice enough to do minimal damage to upgrade the job and did an extremely nice job. Overall I had a pleasant experience with them and I would definitely recommend them.
They had the best prices and we liked the quality of the product. They helped out with a generous financing program. Only minor negative is that they are popular so we had to wait a bit for installation. Nonetheless, when an opening came, they called and got us in earlier - which we appreciated since it was Fall and we had no heat for two weeks.
While scheduling was a bit weird because of covid mandates, which is out of their control, everything else went smoothly! Knowledgeable staff and they really did a good job on our furnace. Very happy with their help!

We received 3 quotes from different companies for ductless heat pumps and installation. All were about the same price, however, Evergreen was the most thorough during their appraisal. They took measurements, estimated our insulation rating, and asked us about our aesthetic preferences for the piping outside of our house.During installation, the technicians all wore face masks and took off their shoes while inside! I felt very safe and impressed. The technicians were also very professional and truly care about their work. They checked everything once finished to make sure that their work was perfect. I cant recommend Evergreen enough!
As members of your home comfort club we were surprised to learn that our membership had expired through no fault of ours (assumed COVID related) but was then charged to join up again rather than just paying the annual renewal rate.

Alex did a very professional job performing the maintenance on our furnace. We moved into a new home and were unfamiliar with the electric furnace and smart pad thermostat with all the different settings and had a lot of questions. As Alec performed the maintenance he explained what he was doing and things we needed to look for as far as routine maintenance, dust control, filter replacement etc... He the proceeded to show me that there was a older humidifier that was no longer used that was set up for a previous furnace that was installed at one time. The humidifier was still hooked to the plumbing but not to the newer furnace currently in the house. The old humidifier had a very small water leak that was leaking behind the furnace that could have eventually created big problem. Alex removed the old humidifier and fixed the water problem at no extra cost. After the work was completed in the furnace and heat pump Alex then explained to us all the many functions on the smart pad controller. He made it quick and easy to understand versus reading the several different manuals I found on the internet. Great experience with Evergreen, Alex the technician and at very reasonable price for their maintenance. I highly recommend.

Evergreen provided a comprehensive quote for work on our rather complicated job. We were given sufficient options and walked through what made most sense. This was a big conversion from (1949 era) oil powered furnace to a new Mitsubishi electric heat pump and air handler system. Including new system for our AADU.
Jason did a great job. He changed some filters, installed a Kumo Cloud thermostat to my Mitsubishi Heat Pump and gave me a quote for adding a humidifier to the system. We couldn’t be happier with Evergreen. I interviewed everyone - the pricing and the ongoing professional support has been exceptional. So glad I chose Evergreen Heating.

Poor customer service - strongly recommend taking a look at other reviews and manager responses before moving forward:We had a bad experience with Evergreen Home Heating and Energy and do not recommend using them. We had them come out to service our furnace in mid-April 2021 and signed up for their Evergreen Home Comfort Club (a discount to pay for two servicings up front). The service technician was nice enough, although did try to upsell us on a couple of things. Profit seems to be the companys number one motive. At the time of the service the weather had been very warm in Seattle and remained that way for another week or so. When the weather finally cooled, we realized that the furnace was no longer working. We called and asked them to come take a look since the furnace had been working fine prior to the servicing. Evergreen told us theyd be happy to come back and take a look, at the discounted rate of $99. They said if they determined that they were the cause of the furnace no longer working theyd waive the charge. This seemed like a gamble to me, so I asked to speak with a manager, since it seemed pretty darn likely that the service visit was the cause of the furnaces issues. The manager confirmed that wed have to commit to paying the $99 for the visit, unless the company determined it was their fault. At that point, it seemed clear that Evergreen doesnt stand by its work. To their credit, they are going to refund us the difference between the two year price for Evergreen Home Comfort Club and the single visit price, although it is much more expensive to pay for a single visit. And, we did get the furnace issue sorted out - turns out the technician turned off the gas line in the furnace and didnt switch it back on - so it was 100% their fault. So if youre looking for an HVAC company, I would look elsewhere because Evergreen seems to focus on profits more than their quality of service.

Alec was awesome. He was prompt, fast, and thorough. We had Evergreen in to diagnose why our HVAC wasn’t working. Turns out it‘a a dinosaur. Alec was able to get our AC running in under 5 minutes, and was able to quickly diagnose why our heater wasn’t turning on. He laid out all the options for repair and when we elected to forego repair in place of just installing a new one, he laid out our options and the pros and cons of each. Totally solid dude who knew his business. I’d totally recommend.

We’ve always had great experiences with Evergreen Home and Heating. They are very knowledgeable, professional and friendly and they saved us from purchasing a brand new system after another company stated that we would need to replace our furnace immediately, our furnace is still running perfectly 5+ years later.
It sounds strange to have such an attachment to an A/C company, but Im hooked. In an industry of people trying to sell you something Evergreen always feels like theyre looking out for whats best from me. In particular, Jesse does a great job with proactive maintenance.
Evergreen Home Heating and Energy was the fourth ductless heat-pump installer we requested a quote from. For our particular job, their quote came in 30% lower than the competing quotes for the same scope of work and equipment. Additionally, the Evergreen staff took the time to carefully review our home and evaluate our heating and cooling needs comprehensively. The instillation went very smoothly - the on-site team worked diligently and considerately. Although we were working from home during the three days of instillation, the installers were never in our way and did everything they could to minimize noise and disruption while we were working. After the instillation was complete, they reviewed all the details of the system with us and gave us clear instructions for permitting and regular system maintenance.It was truly a pleasure working the Evergreen team and Id enthusiastically recommend them to anyone in the Seattle area looking for a ductless heat-pump install!
Previous owners of my home had this company install a furnace in 2015. Issues with the electrical work, the roof penetration, and sloppy drywall exist. The general manager of this company will not even send someone out to review the mess. Even for a furnace that is out of warranty, this is an egregious failure to stand by quality of installation work.

Evergreen installed a new hybrid heat pump system in my house. After researching the options, Evergreen was not only the most reasonable price, but they also scoped out a hybrid system where they would install new duct work and a single air exchanger in the attic and a minisplit in the basement. Scott, the sales person, did not try to upsell me on number of zones (others tried to get me to get 2 units in the basement) and after 2 months with the system, the single unit in the basement is heating the whole basement to our needs. All this was done at a price still considerably lower than the standard system price being offered by one of the bigger, similarly named companies. Evergreen was also the only company to propose a hybrid system where they would install a single exchanger in the attic and run new ceiling ducts to the rooms. This was appealing because we dont need to have the cassettes in each room and we didnt need to line the outside of the house with conduit for the cassettes (also the bathroom gets heat, too). Scott was great to work with, answered all my questions, and did his best to size the system correctly. Installation was smooth. There was a small hiccup where the installer accidentally broke a basement window, but Evergreen squared it away. Don and his team were great and the inspections passed. After install support has been great. Denise has been responsive to my questions. Overall, the experience was great with Evergreen and I highly recommend them.
Evergreen came out and did a full clean out of our ducts and performed routine furnace maintenance. We were very impressed with the knowledge and honesty of the two techs (Chris-Ducts and Alec-furnace service). Our house is way warmer now and we know more about how to keep on top of our HVAC needs. We’ll be using them again in the future.
They were professional and friendly from the first phone call to set up the appointment, to the actual work, which ended up being a little more troublesome than intended.
BEWARE BEFORE YOU CALL THEM -Our non-profit (place of worship) called them for a quote. The tech arrived and reviewed the issues followed by a quote the following day. We did not use the services as the quote was high. Evergreen decided to send a huge invoice of $517 for labor, trip charge and when we asked them why we were charged despite the fact no trip charge was mentioned before the trip; they were rude enough to tell me that we know what are doing and threaten me with collections if our non-profit does not pay up. Extremely sad display of lack of professionalism.

Unfortunately, we had to update this review since we thought its important to provide our overall customer experience with this company. Although there have been some positive experiences with Evergreen, as a whole we cant help but feel underwhelmed and unimpressed with the communication and lack of followup from this reputable company. It has been a long road for us with Evergreen, and I was hopeful that at some point (during or after the 2 years of back and forth) that it would click, and it never did. After quite a few hiccups with our heating system, the lack of communication and concern from them as a whole was alarming. Without getting into specifics, Evergreen should have been much more diligent and and attentive than they were after countless interactions with their team. Ultimately they DID fix the problems that we had, and have been attempting to move forward amicably but we are still struggling to even get a response to an email that we sent almost a month ago. So although the problem was fundamentally fixed on their end, the communication and follow up since has been difficult to say the least.

It was timely and efficient, and Alec really delivered a positive customer experience.
Evergreen installed our high-efficiency gas furnace in 2014. And they have consistently taken good care of us. Today it was about the condensate pump...quit working on Saturday - we had it replaced only a year ago - same problem. Third times the charm? Remains to be seen. Byron in the office fit us into a very busy Monday schedule…Jesse our tech was completely professional, worked efficiently, and answered all my semi technical questions to my great satisfaction! 30 minutes after he arrived and a new pump installed at no cost. Unfortunately they cut corners, arent responsive to customers reporting problems, and it took them 4 tries to fix a simple problem so the new system would pass inspection.
They came when they said they would, got us in a week earlier than the competition, and fixed the problem in minutes (blown fuse, but since we couldnt figure that out, delighted to pay them to get it up and running.)
I want to thank our service technician Alex for coming on a Sunday and thoroughly examining my new heating unit to determine why I wasn’t getting heat anymore. He fixed several problem areas and ran several tests before feeling confident he had fixed the problem and could assure me I would have heat.He worked into the night to make sure my house was warm. We called Evergreen because The CO detector started going off. It was still very cold out and smack-dab in the middle of the COVID pandemic. I was scheduled immediately, and the tech (Alec) called me 30 min before arriving. I don’t know how many times I’ve been told by a dispatcher that the “tech will call before arriving” and then they suddenly appear without notice. So, I appreciate that it actually happened, and has taken place each of the scheduled visits.Our furnace was related without the stress of feeling like I was being taken advantage of. We were sold a comparable new unit and the installation was completed in less time than anticipated.The lead tech Alec was very professional, calming and patient. He walked me through the installation, thermostat use and gave an overall summary. Since then, he’s responded to my calls/emails for basic questions and THAT goes a long way in securing a long term partnership. Kudos to the Evergreen team!
TL;DR: Sales contact was great, install manager wasnt. Customer care post paying your deposit disappears. Be prepared to fix things after the install due to low quality finishes.-----I will start with the good things, the initial estimate/sales visit and follow up calls were great! Scott was very responsive and addressed any questions I had about cost, install, different AC units very quickly. During the install, the ductless installation team was following up on indoor and outdoor unit locations, wiring and any drywall issues. Thats where the overall customer attentiveness ends.Pre-Install:I was initially promised a call regarding install process from their install manager Ryan, and never received that call. I tried to reach out to get details on that and he didnt respond. I was supposed to have the speedichannel dropped off three weeks before install to paint it, and again no response from the install team on when it is getting dropped off or at what time. I understand we are in unprecedented times with the pandemic, but at this point I had no communication from the install side at all other than the initial automated email. I eventually received an email on the delay in speedichannel parts after I reached out to Scott, who was my initial sales contact and he was able to get me a response from the install team.During Install:The most critical install issue was not fully sealing the exterior hole where the electric connection passes through. I noticed that after the electrician left, and the ductless team was aware of it as well. In addition to that, the drywall damage around electric wiring was extensive. In one place, there was a hole more than 6 inches away from where the wire ended passing through (I would assume pros double check their measurements before they drill a hole in the wall, and not just DIY it as a homeowner would). The ductless team tried their best with the drywall damage by filling it with caulk. However, they didnt do anything about the exterior hole seal. They contacted the install manager about it and that was it. I contacted the electrician to come back and seal it properly, he didnt respond.Post Install:I contacted Ryan (install manager) multiple times the day after and he never responded. It wasnt until I told someone else about my complaint and how unprofessional this is, that he reached out a day later. He promised he will look into it and have it taken care of after I sent him pictures of the damages, which I did. Guess what? He didnt.Here I am writing this almost a month later and that was the last time I heard from him. I do not recommend this company as they charge you for a professional high quality job, but what you get is a headache in customer service, extensive drywall damage and a potential safety risk with the exterior seal.
I always receive excellent service and everyone I speak to is very knowledgeable. When I was looking for a company to buy the ductless service from, I got estimates from several major installers but their recommendations did not make sense and varied dramatically. The Evergreen employee was very professional and had great recommendations. I am very happy I chose this company and I continue to receive excellent service.
