Good, clean, beginner to intermediate gym. I was surprised actually. I like the modern equipment and ease of movement of the equipment, its not old or dysfunctional. For $10 a month is a good alternate close to home gym for me.

I feel it’s like home, they have very nice team members. After I’ve tried a couple of gyms I like that you fit is my preference because of the quality, team members and the manager Juan as well. I feel good coming into this place. So I really recommend for everyone to try out Youfit in Scottsdale.

Unless you plan on keeping your membership forever, I do not recommend signing up here. First issue, they continued charging during the 2020 lock down, even when the gym was closed. Then, we canceled the membership (in person only) in February because we were moving out of state. Even after canceling and receiving email confirmation of cancelation, we have been charged every month since then (it is now August).Our mistake was not seeing the charges, and yes while errors can occur on their end, we were told by the manager that he had to speak with corporate to decide if the charges could be reversed. At the point where the oversight was caught, it should end there and be corrected. Theres no excuse for anything else. We were promised a call back in 2 business days, and here we are a week later with no response.At this point we will just let our credit card company deal with them and their shady practices.

I love Youfit Scottsdale! Always stocked with plenty of cleaner and towels to disinfect machines, and the staff is amazing! I love that they remember my name as soon as I walk in, its just a great environment all around. Plus everyone seems to follow covid guidelines so I feel safe 10/10 recommend

***Update since original review below: received a response to my google review within 24 hours requesting I call back for assistance. I called my local gym and am happy to say someone answered. They connected me with the new general manager, Juan, who was very kind and understanding despite the frustrations I expressed. He cancelled my membership free of the cancellation fee and submitted a refund request for the 1 year renewal (reference below).Really appreciate the ease of assistance he provided. Wish their corporate office operated the same way. Thank you, Juan! Next time I live near a Youfit, I’ll rejoin.While I had a good experience with YouFit overall, I was very disappointed that they still elected to charge me for a 1 year renewal after I had requested numerous times via phone and email to cancel my account. Eventually had to call my bank to block payments as I was never able to get anyone on the phone even though the corporate office (who only called me back when my balance was past due) advised my location had been reopened since June 2020. I paid for nearly a year that went unused because I wasn’t going. I’m not upset about that at all, but after multiple times trying to cancel and receiving no response to assist, I should not be charged for a 1 year renewal.

I just signed up after not working out all year. Juan the manager is very friendly, and the staff is friendly as well, not a bad interaction yet. The place is a little small but has a lot of nice equipment, they have barbells which is awesome and what i was looking for, squat rack and tons of cardio equipment. Every time I go in its not busy which is nice. Id recommend you try it out, they give out a 7 day free pass.

Ive been going to youfit for about two years now and I cant imagine going anywhere else! The staffs amazing especially Joseph he always greets me by name, keeps me updated on anything new thats going on, and encourages me to get the best workout I can! Also throughout covid Ive always felt safe here cleaning products are always stocked, machines are distanced, and everyone seems to be respectful of the guidelines which I appreciate. Overall I would recommend Youfit Scottsdale any day!

Just a reminder, you have everything inside of you to do whatever it takes to be a stronger, healthier, and happier person! So, don’t give up on yourself! I already know what that feels like and I have to say, I don’t like it!!! Yes, the road is a bit tough but the alternative just makes it even more difficult and my trainers, Ryan Hayes and Brad at #youfitscottsdale, have been the best in helping me stay the course. Even, Joseph Garcia, at the front desk, always greets me with a smile on his face and knows me by name. Every day he has positive things to say as I come in and as I leave. Yes, it is a daily battle but it is so rewarding in more ways than one can count. This place has been a godsend and no, it didn’t just rain down goodness on me. I have had to get myself to that front door and fill myself with gratitude. I have had to sacrifice some finances, battle mental obstacles and fight to stay with it. But having others be there to cheer me on and keep me accountable is a huge blessing and help as I push myself to become stronger and more functional. I have a very long road ahead of me but does that even matter? It is a lifestyle so the road is what it is. Those of you who feel you have lost your way, you haven’t! You know this road and you know the way. Just point yourself in the right direction and start placing one foot in front of the other. And remember, you are stronger than you think!!!Love yourself...and those around you!!!

Not only closed the location 2 miles from my home, last year then closed the next location 8 miles from me. Then recently closed the only other one 15 miles from me. Just found out after driving 25 miles to cancel that they sold my membership to another gym company 20 miles away...never notifying me of any closures or selling my membership...never again

I like this location. My workout style is mostly weights. I hate classes and things like that so this gym is perfect for me. It’s usually quiet and has everything I need for my workouts.

Extremely shady management. We closed our account, and they tried to process two payments over a month after the we went in to close our account. Tanner claimed to be the general manager...I received the level of customer service expected of a kid named Tanner. He tried to make up a rule in order to keep my 44 dollars. I had to file a fraud dispute with my bank.As for the gym: it became a fitness center for people who like to work out in jeans and polo shirts. All of the good trainers had left for better gyms, and I should have followed long ago. Machines were always broken or unstable. If you are looking for more than elliptical trainers and treadmills, this is not the gym for you. See below for a BS rebuttal from Youfit management.

They will literally just steal your money.I was a member from 2016-2018. After cancelling my membership due to moving, they continued to charge me for 6 months and only stopped after I walked in and told them. Its now 2020 and I have yet to get a refund for those 6 months. I feel like I have spoken to every manager that has worked there in the past 2 years, and it has been submitted over and over, but I havent gotten anything.

Kept charging members during quarantine and gym closure. Three months without providing the service the contract I signed said was their part. They also havent opened once since the brief reopenings. I have a feeling they are going to close the location but havent made a formal statement because they were charging members for the months of the shutdown.

EDIT to add to their response: No, they did not offer streaming workouts and if they did later it was because they realized they were wrong to charge for providing absolutely no service. Besides, we didnt sign up for a gym to stream workouts. Refund the charged month.When the gyms closed, YouFit decided to continue charging people. We called the gym to freeze the account and refund that months charge and their answer was that they would freeze the account but couldnt refund the charge. He said the manager might credit that charge to a later month when reopened. Huh? Many companies did the proactive and right thing to stop charging people for a service they couldnt provide due to a pandemic. YouFit does not fit that category and it is their fault. They consciously decided to continue charging people when their gyms closed. Shame on YouFit.

I am happy with this gym. The new manager who came on fired the people at the front desk who were oversleeping. He made great changes and I am happy now. This gym is very clean and gets the job done for people looking to have access to a gym with a variety of equipment at a reasonable price. Justin at the front desk is always super nice and helpful as well along with all the other staff members.

I went into the Scottsdale Arizona location on Oct 11, 2020 and canceled my membership with the young lady at the counter. She stated that she was having some issues with the system and could not seem to process the $10 cancellation fee. However, she assured me that the cancellation was processed and she would waive the fee.Today, I got a charge on my account for $49.99, which I presume is the yearly fee. I called the Scottsdale location and was advised by Carlos that he could see I had come into cancel, but for some reason it did not go through. He asked if I wanted to put my membership on hold because he said that Corporate does not like to refund the yearly fee, under any circumstances.Needless to say, I am very upset about this situation and I am not at all satisfied with his response. I am not comfortable going to a gym at this time, due to the current pandemic situation and AZ being a hotbed of cases. Myself, my husband and my elderly mother are all in the at risk category.I am requesting a full refund of the $49.99 cancellation fee that I was charged today. I will go down to the location once again and try to resolve this and I have requested a call from the location Manager Juan. However, if my cancellation is dated today, I would like it fully known that the actual cancellation date is 10/11/2020. The day I previously went directly to the gym and cancelled.I went to the SCT location again today and did everything once again with Carlos. This still does not negate the issue that I have should not be charged for anything after the original cancellation date of 10/11/2020.

Very disappointed! Ive been calling for a couple of weeks and sent two emails to have my membership cancelled. No voicemail system available to leave a voice message. Really like the gym I go to a larger one on my own but my girlfriend goes here. We go at 5 am and my only complaint is that it wasnt open twice at 5 AM twice this week. The staff are nice and its very clean.

I was charged 3 months worth of fees when they were closed due to covid 19 and still unable to get a refund...Ill probably get a lame reply from management to call the 1-800 number..youll find that whenever you do it goes straight to an automated system that asks you to type in your zip code..then youre directed to the nearest youfit location which nobody answers the phone. Im almost certain they have no plans of opening back up. It was totally unacceptable to take peoples money without providing service.

Worked out here for about a year and Im going to give my most honest review.Overall its a great gym. The gym is well kept, cleaned, and the machines are pretty top notch. They have everything you need for any type of muscle youre working out. The only downside is when I was there, there was only 1 squat rack that you had to kind of fight for.Staff is okay. Ive only had a HORRIBLE experience with one of them and that was because it was some d*** ex cop from corporate who still had an overpowering mentality and ego. Hopefully hes gotten enough complaints to be gone now.Overall the atmosphere of the place is pretty relax. Whenver I went it was never really that busy.As far as cancellation goes, very easy for me. Literally just went in, canceled, then walked out. Many people dont read contracts before signing... If you read the contract, you will see all the fees that YOU signed for.I really miss this gym and I hope to come back one day, S/O Glen if hes still there

The gym has basically everything one needs to get in a solid workout, although an extra squat rack would be really nice. The weekend hours dont start until 8am which is a pain. I understand not needing to open at 5am, but 7am would seem reasonable.Dropped a star today. Went to the gym at 6:15am and nobody was there to open the door. Employees slept in I guess? Pretty pathetic.

Do Not Go Here! They make it REALLY hard to cancel. I moved to California and they said I needed to mail $10 cancel fee and a certified letter to cancel. I did that and they still kept charging me because they couldnt find my membership info with the number provided on the letter which is BS, I had written a phone # on the letter and also my first and last name which they could have used to look me up, or maybe they could have called me on the number provided. I also do not buy that they didnt have my phone number on my gym record because THEY called me after I did a trial to enroll me in the membership.I called and told they cant refund any of the fees even though they received the letter one month ago. I am now disputing this with my credit card company.

Great gym for the price, but unreliable. If you workout in the afternoon, then it’s good for what it is. There’s been a few times over the past ten days that I’ve shown up around 5:15/5:30 am and the gym isn’t opened yet. I’m just bummed to find a new gym, it’s a good cheap gym but my schedule won’t allow me to workout late in the day. If you workout in the mornings, probably not the right place.

Stay away from Youfit!You can look through my reviews and see that I rarely leave negative reviews - but today we have a winner.I joined this gym (chandler location) 3weeks ago and today received an email that the location is closing effective - noon today.The alternate locations are not convenient for me so I made a call to request my membership be stopped.BTW- I am pretty sure you knew it would be closing when I signed up...Apparently Youfit can send a simple email telling me I can no longer go to the location that is convenient but I cant simply call to cancel. A certified letter or go to another location to cancel - ridiculous- YOU closed the location and Im canceling because the other locations are not convenient!Oh and get that letter into us quickly because we are going to charge you again and we need 10 days to process your cancellation.Shame on you Youfit! Had you told me yesterday- when I was at the gym, I would have handled things then.While all of this seems very inconsequential it highlights the horrible customer service and unethical business practice that is at the foundation of this company.Edit after Youfit response:Thanks for the reply to my negative review. I called your location for help because the closed location was not answering the phone any longer. I have not joined this gym yet but my wife has, but do to too many complaints about cancellation issues im about to pull my wife out of this establishment quick. Too many apologies from this gym to its customers is ridiculous, and then these gyms are closing as soon as you sign up. Sounds like a real issue that needs attention.

This ended up being a total nightmare. Last year I took out a membership. I should have gotten one with planet fitness instead honestly. I ended up taking a second job all of a sudden and then I had no time for the gym. A couple month later I tried cancelling my account. They took my membership card and said it was taken care of and they would follow up with me because they had to see if they could avoid the yearly fee since I had never stepped foot in the gym. I never heard back from them, and I got so busy with work and it seemed everything got taken c se re of. A year later Im being told I have a past due balance and Im going to be sent to collections for over $200 worth of fees, the manager doesnt even work there anymore and they cant find any trace of cancellation on my account. And the only way to get out of this is pay $50 so I wont be sent to collections for a membership that I never even used. This has been the worst nightmare. Never dealing business with youfit again. Think twice and maybe just settle for planet fitness.

Very clean and an assortment of machines to use. Quiet in the sense that people arent yelling, and the music is upbeat but no so loud that you want to leave. Staff is very helpful and will help you use something if you dont know how.

Had a premium lime membership for $20 a month for a year and called to cancel my membership after not using it for several months and the associate over the phone said I could only do that in person at the location I started my membership. I own and operate my own business so by the time I was able to actually go in in person they had charged me a $40 renewal fee for the coming year which they said was non-fundable and then to rub salt in the wound charged another $10 for me just cancel. Ive worked in customer service half my life and never have I experience such poor service. This company should be ashamed of itself for conducting business this way. This place is a total rip off! STEER CLEAR!!

Tried to cancel my membership, and I have to drive to the location and pay a fee to get it canceled. Cant cancel over the phone or online. Have to send CERTIFIED mail with a form to say Im canceling or go in person to sign the form just for the privilege of paying my cancellation fee. What a joke. Take your business elsewhere. There are better gyms with more fair contracts and policies.

If you ever join this health club, you better plan on it for the rest of your life. Because cancelling is like a bad Saturday Night Live skit. I cancelled in Aug 2018. They were still billing me in Nov 2018. Called to get money back and manager said I have to come in. I asked if I have to come in when manager was there or are evenings OK. Said any time. Came in at like 7 pm. They said that a manager has to be there to refund. They had me sign another cancellation form and manager would call me. 4 days go by, no call. Called in again and talked to manager. They said they would get it reversed and call me. Give it 2 - 3 days. Its not 5 days and no call.

Good gym, shady billing.The facility is nice and I had a personal trainer for 12 weeks who was great. However, they continued to charge me long after the 12 weeks, made me pay for 2 months after I brought it to their attention and asked to cancel, and charged me a $25 cancellation processing fee. Not to mention the $45 annual fee that hit my account, and the fact that my $10 a month membership jumped to $15. It seems they punish you more the longer you are a member.Be warned, the monthly fee is only the beginning of what youll be forced to pay.

This location is consistently not open at 5am. Ive spoken with 2 different managers and they say it will never happen again. One called me last night after I negatively filled out one of their corporate surveys. And today, the very next day, the gym is not open at 5am. They are trying really hard to lose customers. 4th time in 2 months. Lost my business.

Its sad to have to write this today. I joined a month ago and told the manger then that I would likely be relocating and cancelling in a month. NP. That said, I went in this morning to cancel. I have NO PROBLEM paying the extra $20 and the $10 cancelation fee! NONE! Because I was setting out for a long bike ride I carry license, insurance and a little cash ($10) so when the agent behind the desk demanded $10 in cash or credit card I just said its no problem...just put it on the card # you have on file. HE REFUSED TO CANCEL THE MEMBERSHIP!!! Overall not a bad place but I swear they keep the thermostat set there at around 80-85. In my opinion thats too warm. Maybe thats why they charge only 10 bucks a month. I agree watch out for the hidden fees. Especially the gym equipment fee they neglect to tell you about until you sign the contract.

I was told I had to cancel in person and pay a $35.00 cancellation fee even though I explained that I moved and there was not a youfit location anywhere near my new home. They said they would email or fax the form to cancel, but they never sent it nor did the rep notate my account.Finally, today I was back in town to visit family and went to this location to cancel. The lady Cindi started out being very nice and understanding, she even agreed that the person I had talked to on numerous occasions to cancel did not tell me the truth about cancelling. Then, she said I had to pay to cancel. I said I shouldnt have to as I have been trying to cancel for months. She proceeds to argue with me. Over 10 dollars. I give up and pay the 10 bucks. I had to ask for a confirmation that my account was cancelled! Maybe she didnt think Id read the form because it said I was responsible to pay another month! She did not disclose this information to me before I signed the electronic pad when she ran my card. At this point I demanded to surreal to a manager. His name is Jebeddiah. I asked for either a refund of my 10 bucks or to have them waive the 15 monthly fee. He said he didnt understand why I didnt understand the cancellation policy because it is so simple. In short, he refused to do anything except be a condescending jerk. While Cindi glared at me from over his shoulder. When asked for the number for corporate, I received an email address and was told there is no number.How is this company still in business?????? These people lie to get your money.

I was with them for 4 years. Decide to go somewhere else for pool facility. Submit my cancellation notice exact 10 days before my monthly renewal date. (Required by their policy) The front desk told me I was all set. 2 weeks later, I noticed my credit card being charged for another month. I contacted the front desk and they told me I supposedly should come in 11 days before the renewal date and refuse to refund me. SHAME on you! $15 dollar is not a big deal. But the deceitful nature of their practice deserves 0 star.

Be careful, Youfit gyms are closing left and right with virtually no warning. You wont see those reviews because the reviews are being done under gyms are already closed up. Youfit will close your gym and keep charging you without your knowledge.
