Stay away from this place unless you want to add extra stress to your trip. The office is unorganized and unresponsive. I received a car that was dirty on the outside and the maintenance light came on after driving it half way on my journey. I had to go to another Hertz office on the trip to get that checked out, which took away from enjoying my trip. Lastly, I couldn’t return the car on the drop-off day because the parking lot was full of cars (couldn’t even enter the lot, had to park at Skin Cabaret next to it!) Hertz office did not give me any instructions about how to drop it off. I had to call the main Hertz # several times and wait till next morning to drop it off. The customer service was severely lacking and I will not choose this place again.

Randy Eihausen was great….! He even went beyond his job of reservation and check in to clean the car since they were very bus in their detail Department ! I was upset first because of the Debit situation because the company policy of the deposit using credit card vs debit card but he was super friendly and was there to answer the questions and explain the whole process and reason why. All respect for you and the other staff and my business will always be in your location. Thank you

Vehicle was not as clean as they advertise it will be.. you will be charged a 200 dollar deposit on top of the rental price and had to wait for the car to be cleaned and made ready then the store clerks will literally take pictures of every angle of the car before you take it away.. not a complain just details of my experience.

The manager (Joel) was incredibly rude & refused to work with us; there was a small issue with our insurance company that got sorted out relatively quickly, but even then Joel wouldn’t give us a rental car & then disappeared while we were trying to sort things out with him. Maybe he was having a rough day, but that doesn’t excuse his terrible attitude & unwillingness to work with us. The other employee working there was friendly & did his best though; he gets the one star of this rating.

I knew when my company made the rental reservation with Hertz, it was going to be a bad day. There is no parking on their lot, service was extremely slow, the girl up front ignored me in line, and they did not have the vehicle that was to be reserved. Do yourself a favor and rent from literally any other company.

I was here today 5/3/21 at 1:30pm I say this because I never got anyone’s names. I truly cannot believe how rudely I was treated. First walking in no one said hello or I’ll be with you nothing, then someone finally worked with us and was incredibly rude. He stood there with his arms crossed the entire time and acted as if we were a bother to him. He was not helpful whatsoever, to the point where I left and chose to go with a rental car company who knows basic manners and how to deal with PAYING customers. Save yourself and never rent from here.

Be ware if you drop the vehicle off after hours you will be charged for the time/days until the location opens up again.Prices are fare, service is the WORST. Had the misfortune of being met by Joel . My boyfriend and I walked in. Joel came out from the back room, walked right past us without saying a word. Then came back in and took a call, still no recognition that we were even there. After the call he went to the back room again until I called out and asked for help checking in. Poor attitude and even worse service. I would not recommend or return here. There are too many car rental options out there to put up with rude customer service agents

Not my real name on here but I paid $1,600 months ago to rent a nice car but that didn’t work so we made a deal on a regular car for a couple months. Then after a month they demand me an extra $800 for the month, did that for another two. Then I return the car and they charge me another $2,000 out of my account?? I got another kid one the way and a lot going on and they completely wiped my account for no reason! I’m going to come in and resolve this on Monday!

I had a reservation for a car booked online, waited 30 minutes in line while the salesman was trying to up-sell another person on more insurance. The customer in front of me clearly had insurance through a third-party, and could not afford additional insurance. When I finally get to the front of the line I am told that my reservation was not valid because I made it on the same day. The online inventory on their website showed the location had cars available. Absolutely terrible customer service, terrible communication, and terrible business ethics.

Candice (not sure if I spelled that correctly) is absolutely amazing! We had a reservation at a different location and they had no vehicle for us to pick up. I called several locations and this location was the only one who was willing to help. She went above and beyond and followed through as she originally did when I spoke to her first thing in the morning. She got us our vehicle and taken care of and was an absolutely amazingly kind person. We will definitely use this location going forward.

Horrible experience renting for a week.1. Rented full size SUV vehicle 3 weeks prior to vacation, directly on Hertz website. Prepaid in full.2. Plan rest of trip ($5000 of reservations, etc.). Pick up at 9am...leave shortly thereafter.3. Morning of, receive voicemail from Hertz...We dont have a vehicle for you, our lot is empty. - Note...I had noticed that this particular location said it was closed on the day i was supposed to pick up, so I called them a week before the rental to verify and ask. They said, they check reservations for the week and plan out and that they would be open on that particular day even though standard hours it said it wasnt.4. I call back, What do you mean, no vehicle? What am I supposed to do?5. Hertz replies, Find alternative arrangements6. I reply, Im supposed to pick up in 1 hr and be on road in 2 hr, its labor day weekend!7. Hertz replies, Try phoenix sky harbor, they should have some there.8. I reply, Ok, can you connect me or check and confirm that they have something available?9. Hertz replies, Sorry, no. We cant call them directly. But theyll have something available for you. Youll have to go to the counter.Now hits panic mode...Have my wife drive me 20 min to the airport, I get to the counter for Hertz and there is 1 counter open and 30 people in line. It was no less than a 3 hr wait (I feel so bad for those folks waiting there after arriving for the weekend vacation), so I go down to the Hertz gold counter and wait 10 min to get a rep. He says, sorry we are out of vehicles and dont have anything we can rent you. At this point, I was just in complete disbelief and there was no one I could talk to that cared or could help.We check other rental companies, of course, they too are rented out since it is labor day weekend. We leave airport and are driving home and get a rock in the windshield of our own vehicle.Calling back to the local Hertz we originally rented from, they ended up finding something. When we picked it up, it was absolutely disgusting (used face masks in the storage compartment, slime and dirt everywhere, etc.) but we hardly even cared since it was absolutely required or we would have been out several thousand dollars for the vacation and not sure what we would have done about other ppl flying in from other states.Honestly, this is w/o doubt the absolute worst rental experience (travel experience in general probably). I get it Hertz is going into Bankruptcy and all, but if it survives, Im certain to never rent from hertz again. Id probably pay 3x the price for the same car as long as it is from a different company.

Customer service was horrible. Then when i got on the freeway the rental was pulling to the left and maintenance light came on. I then called Hertz and was told by there representative the vehicle was fine to drive.I spent 3 hrs trying to swap my rental or cancel it do to the inconvenience me and my family have had to deal with. DO NOT RENT A VEHICLE FROM HERTZ.Major hassle and headache if something is wrong with Vehicle.

I picked a rental car place that was walking distance from mine. I reserved a car on January 7, 2020. On February 14 I walked the almost two miles to pick up my car that was reserved for 9:30. When I arrived they only had a panel van to offer me. I said I would wait a few minutes since I arrived 15 minutes early. After a few minutes waiting in the lobby the employee at the desk told me it would be at least 3 hours till cars would arrive and that they were relying on returns for available cars until then. I asked him if he had the car that I had reserved over a month prior and he only told me the same, that I could take the panel van and come back once cars were available 3 hours later. He refused to apologize or even recognize that this was a problem. I had plans for the day and expected this part to be the smoothest since Hertz is a national chain. I walked home with no car and adjusted my plans.Please in the future when you have no cars available, contact people with reservations so they do not waste there time coming down to your store.

Absolutely awful customer service and response time. I rented a car and I’ve called my local Hertz location 16 times with no response. I’ve reached out to Hertz via Facebook and they keep saying they’ll look into it, and then I don’t hear back for a week and a half. They charged the wrong card after I spoke with 3-4 different Hertz employees about charging a different card, and that cost me an extra $25 from my credit card company. I cannot get a single person to assist me. I never even received a receipt via email or anything. Absolutely terrible, will never rent from them again. And I still need someone to reach out to assist me.

These guys are amazing! I usually rent from Airport because rentals seemed to be much cheaper. But after taxes and fees they are a lot less and also less of a headache to get vehicle. Very nice people and not pushy at trying to get you to purchase add-ons!!! This will definitely be my go to.. if they dont have a rental available online.. call they will get you a vehicle

Absolutely WORTHLESS company with useless employees. Spent an entire day of my vacation that I’d been waiting to take forever just running around after being sent from one on bell Road then to the airport then al the way up to Scottsdale where we spent over 20 minutes on hold then we hung up and called back and we’re left on hold again till they closed. Briana and Arturo at the Scottsdale location are a perfect representation at what a garbage company this is and how horribly they treat their customer base. I will NEVER go thru hertz for anything again I’d rather walk.

I took my chances renting from this location given the fact I read bad reviews but luckily my experience was a great smooth process. I arrived 1 hour early so my rental wasnt completely ready but I didnt wait long. I was surprised they werent busy on a Friday at 4pm, it was just my luck that I missed out on the busy chaos.

Wasted my time because I didnt have a credit card. My credit was ran and because it was less than perfect I couldnt rent a car. Everyone has a story and mine started with a very bad divorce. Im good now, but it was very embarrassing and even though I have a credit card now as a matter of fact I have a few. I will always go to Enterprise.

Stay away from this place!!!!! The service is absolutely horrible! The members never closed out my contract... I received a call from Hertz corp stating my renting privileges will be suspended and recovery charges will apply if I do not return the rental..... yet the rental was returned three days ago! unbelievable! I call the local office, get placed on hold for ten minutes and they return to tell me oh so sorry,, we closed the contract out and all the additional daily charges will be waived.... when I began to share my frustration, the manager got on the phone... I asked him to email me a closed receipt for my records hence I do not trust anything they do any more, he said, it is closed out and literally hung up on me.... Never am I using Hertz again! STAY AWAY!!! GOT TO ENTERPRISE!!!

This is the worst place i have ever rented a car from. I do not smoke and did not smoke in the car, yet the horrible female representative from hell manager at the desk charged me $300 cleaning fee. She said she saw ashes. She saw sand from San Diego beaches. Maybe the people before had, but it was not me smoking in that car or anyone else on my trip. Started off they said the insurance i got on line with the reservation was no good- added $40 more $s for their policy. Then of course the did not have my car at the rate reserved and had me pay $5 day more for the one i had. Nickel and diming was the goal then swoop in for the jackpot of $300 after when you return the car! The place is rundown and zero stars for them. I would recommend Enterprise- little more but worth it. Do not trust the GOOD reviews here. Go from one star you have to give to 5 stars that is written by friends and family of this Hertz location.

Typical Rental Car Company Scam....I waited 2 hours past my vehicle reservation pick up time with no estimate of how much time I would have to wait. They said I had to wait until someone returned a vehicle to get my car or I could pay to upgrade and get the car now. It quickly became obvious that they were lying and that there was no car coming that matched my reservation because there were 4 other people who all reservations and were waiting for in line before me. The other people eventually caved in to their scheme and paid for the upgrade so they could leave. Finally.... once all the other people had paid for the upgrades, the manager give us a free upgrade that they said they couldn’t do two hours earlier.

I chose this location for the convenience after I had a horrible experience at another rental car place - it starts with an E - trying to get a rental car after my car was broken in to. My experience here was awful! I know this review seems long but if youre considering using this agency please read on!! You will end up regretting it. Things were bad enough because I was renting a car due to the fact that I had been in an accident, but when it was all done and said they charged me WAY more than they said they would. When I chose my car (there were only 3 options) they quoted my portion of the payment as $7.00 a day. When they took the charges out they ended up charging me almost $12.00 a day! I was shocked when I saw the amount they charged my debit card so I called them to inquire as to how my portion of the charges were so high, I figured they had just charged me for too many days. After being on the phone for 30 minutes all they could come up with to tell me was that the almost $12.00 in charges was due to taxes. Really? Theres almost $5.00 in taxes on a $7.00 charge? That makes absolutely no sense being that the tax rate in Arizona is right under 10%. Bottom line; this place is a joke. Completely unprofessional, the manager was sitting right next to the woman I spoke to and couldnt even get on the phone to talk to me himself, she kept putting me on hold to relay information to him then coming back on and telling me what he said, and they blatantly lied to me about car pricing so I would pick a more expensive one. I will never use any Hertz location EVER again and I will make absolutely sure that anyone I know who ever needs a rental car will not use them either.

2/19/19 Called before our scheduled pickup. Spoke with Chris about a possible weather delay affecting our arrival time for pickup. He didnt see a problem. Once we arrived (3hrs late) worked with Marcos who was professional and efficient. Just by chance I chatted with the technician Alex about forgetting my cell phone cord. He went to see if they had a spare one. Sure enough he found me one. Great service team!

Nice and friendly staff. Breezy response. I made my reservation online and found this place to offer the best price. I was hesitant at first since I rented from another local Hertz and I had a bad experience.Unlike Hertz Mesa, when I got there an hour earlier my car was ready, and they didnt give me a lower class car when they didnt have mine; they gave me a free upgrade.They were also courteous enough not to charge me for an extra hour since they promised they wouldnt do so when I returned the car.Much cheaper than airport rentals. I will definitely go back.

I am a gold member of Hertz and I have rent 30+ times in different Hertz locations all over the country. I can say this is the worst location I have ever been.The manager and people at front desk is not helpful at all. No matter what question I asked, they just give me a number to call even they made the mistake.And there is a another problem.When they give me the car at Friday I asked the lady at front desk that I might return late at Monday and if she could show me the place to drop the key. I return my car at Monday 7 PM, and two days later I was charge $60 more than I expected. $40+ is one more day fee and a $12 late fee....And when I said that why you dont even mention that there will be a late fee and one more day fee ? Or you dont even let me know if I can call you guys so you can wait 1 more hours. They just said, its already on the policy paper and we dont need to do this. None of my business if you dont read all these paper.Well they are right. If you want to have a good rental experience at this location you should read these whole bunch of paper.They rely on these paper to protect themselves and they dont value their customer at all. Its a good way to run any business.

I recently had 2 cars from this location and the same exact time...both were insurance claims. Both were slightly tricky (one car rental stopped and restarted, the other claim the Penske Collision Center Agreed to pick up my portion of the rental). Anyway, Shawn F. the new store manager was fantastic. She helped in so many ways! This is a very small office and the fleet selection is limited but she helped us get what we wanted to drive.

This place gave me the impression that my 80/20 insurance coverage would pay for the daily insurance on the vehicle.Long story short I returned the vehicle with a nice $450 bill on top of my 80/20 coverage.Customer service was HORRIBLE and I will never go back to Hertz again. Their opt out was you should have read our contract... Their contract is 100 pages long.

Total nightmare. I had a 1 day rental and they lost track of the car for a week after I returned it. They kept putting endless holds on my debit card so I did not have access to my money. I actually had to have the bank cancel the card and issue me a new one, to stop them freezing money in my account. Hertz corporate was calling me numerous times for the car they lost track of. Save yourself a LOT of aggravation do not rent a car from Hertz. Very Poorly Handled. No consideration for their customers.

Had to leave my car at Midas for a repair and they offered a rental car through Hertz. Took advantage of the deal and an employee at Hertz gave me my charges of about $50 for the day. Went home to see a $250 hold on my account that nobody at Hertz mentioned. Called the office and the supervisor was less than helpful and said he could do nothing about it until the car was returned. Make sure your employees are telling your customers about the FULL CHARGE before charging accounts. Very poor service.

Gold member here. The worse customer service. I cant even begin to explain how unprofessional this team is. Shawna the manager is very inadequate and should not be in her position. Not one employee there knows what they are doing. We were told our reserved car was there. Even got directions 3 min away and when we got there they said the very car we reserved was gone! How is that even possible? Needless to say we were pretty upset. Instead of fixing the issue Shawna literally told us we can go from a luxury car which we reserved to a compact car. No apologies no nothing! Our mouths dropped to the floor. How is that even an option left alone acceptable? Oh and this was at a luxury price. We told here that was unacceptable so she told us theres nothing else she can do and we needed to leave. She didnt try calling any other hertz location Refunded our money nothing. This is the face of hertz and it is a real embarrassment for this company. When we called Corp to make a complaint of course all the paper pushers there didnt do much except make note of the incident. The manager at this location is absolutely awful. My father who has rented plenty of cars from Hertz had some issues, and the manager refused to call anyone for assistance and sent us away. We kept asking her to call somebody since we had already made the reservation and it was already approved, but she said she made all the decisions and refused to contact anyone else. That particular location had wrongfully flagged his drivers license number, so he spoke with customer support during his reservation, and had it resolved and the flag removed. Apparently this locations system had not refreshed yet, and we tried to explain this to the manager and ask her to call for approval. She very smugly handed us a toll free number for customer relations, and asked us to leave. Our family typically only uses Hertz, but from now on we will be going elsewhere for our car rental business. However I do feel bad that it was just this one manager that ruined the name Hertz for us. We had such a good experience with customer support during the reservation, and this one person ruined it. I will share my story with everyone and make sure everyone I know never rents from Hertz.

They do not show you a breakdown of your bill before you sign for it. I said specifically to the representative I do not need any insurance. I looked through the contract later and sure enough there is an additional fee, Loss Damage Waiver $23.99/DAY. The representative never asked us if we wanted to add it, nor did he explain what it was. I called customer service and they said it was explained in the contract and you signed for it. Super slow service. Took 40+ minutes to get car that was reserved the day before by State Farm. Lot is small and entire lot and building are in need of basic maintenance. Doesnt offer extended hours, so makes it inconvenient.

Had a reservation to pick up a car today, when I got there I was told my reservation was not going to be honored for the car I had, no cars left till next week. I was told I could rent a SUV for $160.00 more.The manager is the one who told me this, very rude and unprofessional...Horrible CS....Avoid this location.

I got a great rate which was much better than airport rates, so I took Lyft from PHX. I was upgraded to a nice Nissan Sentra (I think they didnt have an economy class vehicle available). The car was clean, new, and ran perfectly.The only bumps I had were with the return. The gentleman who got me checked out failed to tell me that they would be closing at 1:00 PM on Saturday. I made it clear to him that I was planning to return the car on Saturday afternoon. This wasnt a problem as I just wrote down the return time, miles, and fuel level, but I wish he would have told me with advance notice as it caused some stress and delay in the drop-off. I dropped the keys in the night drop box.Additionally the contract stated I could return the car at 3:00 PM (I even checked with the gentleman who checked me out) despite the fact that I was taking the car at 2:00 PM on Tuesday. I ended up returning the car at 2:45 PM and I was charged an extra hour ($5). I felt this was unwarranted, but I guess I should have known that I really had to bring it back by 2:00 PM. I called in afterwards and they explained that I really needed to return it by 2:00 PM in order to not be charged any additional fees. I was really not that upset about the extra $5 because I did get a killer rate and a good upgrade.

WOSRT service ever. The manager literally lied when asked direct questions so that they could raise their commission. Pathetic service just so they could make a few extra dollars on their commission checks. Then when I called corporate customer service to ask if they may help- NOTHING. They just asked me to talk to the same lying manager to confirm. Im astounded to receive such dishonest service from a company like this.

If I could leave less stars I would. WORST customer service Ive ever had! Alicia and Shauna (or Shawn) are the most fake people. I was charged DOUBLE what I should have been because they accidentally added on 9 days after I had already returned the car. It took me THREE MONTHS to get a refund of over $150. Every time I called Shauna said she had submitted the refund but every time I called corporate they said no refund requests had been filed. It was only after I went to went to my credit card company to dispute the charge that I actually got a refund. No one ever apologized or anything.NEVER using hertz again after this experience with incompetent staff and poor service.

Cheaper than the other rentals in our area but there was a reason for that! Only one person working at the desk and it took us 45 minutes to get in our car. Our car had trash in the backseat, stains on the seat and didnt even have cruise control which sucked for a 6 hour drive! They also charge for a spouse to drive the car, which Enterprise doesnt. Would not use their service again.

GO TO ANY OTHER LOCATION THAN THIS ONE. Save yourself the hidden charges that hit your bank account after you turn the car in. They will find a way to hit you with extra fees. I used this location during my state farm claim. I had the car for a week, filled it up and returned it the day the agreement was up. They had the audacity to charge me $300 for smoking and $29 for fuel when I literally filled it up on 52nd and McDowell. On top of that I DONT EVEN SMOKE. The car was not even clean when I picked it up. The branch manager Shawn Frazee hung up on me during my initial call and when I had called back she refused to reverse the fee. She is incompetent and not helpful in the least bit. Very unhappy with my customer experience and I will not be returning to this location.

The seller are scammers !!!! They print the contract and gave me just the end of it to sign without to se the total of the bill !!! I saw the total only when I left.They added LWD whereas I didnt need ! My french VISA Card has already this service.The seller trap me because Im French ! After I saw that, I went to go back there to change that. She told me its ok in the system (server) but I dont have a new version of my contract# so upset against this place !!
