I was shopping for a single new wheel for my 29er and my cousin recommended this place. I called and they were super nice and told me to stop by to check out their selection and they told me the pricing and it was really good. Steve was supremely nice, he helped me pick a wheel from their literal pile of new wheels, the price was well below retail and he even threw in a rotor and rotor bolts for free. They sell a lot of new bikes and they take off the stock wheels and install super expensive carbon wheels; thats why they have so many nice new brand name wheels to sell cheap. The experience was top notch. Their shop is very, very nice and full of cool stuff. I will be back for sure.Update. 3 more friends have bought new bikes from here the prices cant be beat! Steve is so nice and knowledgeable.
I took my Cannondale mountain bike in for some adjustments. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They are very experienced and know what they are doing. Cliff did an excellent job tweaking my bike. Prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend them.
These guys are so friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for any and all of you cycling needs.
Amazing shop with excellent customer service, tons of selection and the best prices I could find!
I literally never leave reviews, I’m satisfied with just not giving my business to certain places, but this one was worth it. I was literally browsing the store for 20 minutes straight with zero acknowledgement whatsoever. I really do understand that there’s a lot of stuff to get done, I really don’t expect anyone to bend over backwards for me, but a “welcome” or “be right with you” would have perfectly sufficient. On top of that, the people I was finally able to talk did not seem to have a clue what was going on. Not that I can blame them Most of their product is unlabeled, purely subject to the whim of whoever you ask. Good for those that had a good experience, but I did not, and unfortunately would not recommend them to a enemy let alone a friend.
Terrible Customer Service! I ordered a bike in August and paid $5000 down. Airpark never followed through with ordering the frame. The frame was finally ordered in October with delivery supposedly in January and, despite several calls and texts, no one (including Steve the owner) will return my call and give me ANY information on the status of the bike. If I treated my clients like that, I would be fired and rightly so! I am also lodging a complaint with the Scottsdale Better Business Bureau. This is inexcusably bad service!
Have been looking for a hitch bike rack for a week in the valley. Finally found this establishment. They have multiple Kuats in stock. They assembled the bike rack and helped explain its use. Extremely helpful in getting the rack operational. Highly recommended.
This amongst the most unprofessional businesses Ive tried to work with. I put a deposit down on a bike in July of 2020 and opted to finance part of it after they confirmed that was an option. I was told it would be around 5 business days before they figured out the details of the financing (whatever that means, it was already not comforting to hear but I was excited for the new bike and gave them the benefit of the doubt). Fast forward two weeks and I havent heard anything, so I begin calling weekly to check the status of the financing. Every week I call, its another 3-5 business days. I do that for 4 weeks and eventually I opt to withdraw my deposit, since, at this point, there has been no movement on their side for 6 weeks. Once Ive withdrawn my deposit it shows up in my pending transactions on my bank account but doesnt clear in 5 business days. Again I have to call and ask them whats going on. They say give it another week or two. Keep in mind this is for refunding a debit card transaction. So a charge takes several seconds but a refund takes up to 3 weeks, yea I dont think thats how its supposed to work. More and more my sentiment has shifted away from thinking this is a cool shop to thinking theyre quite sketchy. The lack of transparency, giving me the ring around for weeks while they sit on my ~$1000, and taking abnormally long to refund me are just some of the reasons. Also if they say theyll call you back, chances are they wont. I was told multiple times that theyd call me and that didnt happen once over the course of this almost 2 month long nightmare. Based on my experience, I would recommend you be cautious doing business here and definitely dont try to finance a bike.
My name is Ryan and I have been mountain biking for about 2 years. I have never been to a shop with a such a hospitality and want to help a customer. I went in here to look for a bike and was in and out for over several months. Same kindness and want to help get me on the right bike every time I went in. I recently pulled the trigger on a tallboy and they were there to help me every step of the way. Truly this is one of the best bike shops I have been too. Staff is wonderful and super kind, owner is a great guy.
These guys are AWESOME! Full of answers and they fix everything 🎊! Thanks so much for bringing kindness to our community 🙏🏻!!!
Quite a terrible experience coming here. The least welcoming staff in some time. Acted like I was a weirdo asking for a bike pump.
I was Refered here by a friend, heavy into mountain biking! I have been to shops all over the valley and Steve is outstanding at what he does, if you are looking for quality and a bike shop that will have your back look no further! Be aware there is a huge following here, good things come to those who are patient if your looking to be in and out this is not the place for you! Great people and great service takes time! Check em out ...tell him Johnny sent ya!
I had an amazing experience with this crew! Just moved down from Colorado and had an issue with my Santa Cruz Bronson two days before I was going on a trip. They were SLAMMED with work and were able to squeeze me in before I left for my trip! Already have my wife’s bike over here for a service right now. They absolutely have my business!
These guys are awesome! I purchased a Santa Cruz Tallboy from them and it was a very pleasant experience. Yes, they are busy and you might have to wait your turn but that is a good sign of a great bike shop. They were very informative and took the time to explain everything about the bike from maintenance to the bikes features. Thank you guys!
This shop is the best! I recently purchased a 2020 Santa Cruz Tallboy for an unbelievable price! Dougie took great care of me, with Steve close by if needed to answer any issues or concerns. Im a novice rider who was looking to upgrade my ride and Airpark did not disappoint. Dougie carefully described my options and was extremely patient with my questions. Ive found my go-to guys for my MTB needs!
Always a welcoming shop. Great bikes and super knowledgeable techs. 10/10 will continue to recommend and utilize their services.
If you want a good deal on a new bike, then i would recommend this place. However be warned the customer service attention to detail and follow through are absolutely the worst i have every seen. You will be overcharged for parts and labor. If you drop your bike off to get work done, just add 5 days to when they said it would be ready. There is no price tag on anything so the price is whatever they say it is at the time. The mechanic work is terrible, to the point the bike becomes dangerous to ride. Example proper fork setup for an enduro bike is critical. Again if you are looking for a good deal on a new bike this is your place, but i would strongly avoid this place for anything else.
I would choose another bike shop over this place.. Ive been calling for nearly 2 weeks now to buy or order from them since they are an authorized SE bike dealer. Everytime Ive called they dont have a clue whats in stock at their Warehouse other 3 SE bikes.. Well which ones?? They have to go down and check or ask the owner. Ive left my phone number with them at least 4 times never getting a call back once and when I call back they obviously never checked.Sounds like the owner needs to write somebody up for losing business...Now I do understand that times right now are rough. Most bike shops have limited staff and are very busy. But the fact Ive been trying to just get some basic info for almost 2 weeks now is horrible service..
Completely overpriced! Asked for amounts in bike tube, they gave a road bike tube. Shame on me for not checking the bag. Got all the way home30 minutes away and realized I was sold the wrong tube. No pricing on anything in the store. They simply charge what comes to mind. $100 for helmet that cost $50 elsewhere.
Visited the shop to find a floor pump while wearing a mask. I encountered two customers and two employees not wearing any mask inside the shop. I turned around and left immediately. If this shop doesn’t care about my health and safety, I don’t care to do business with them..
Just paid $20 bucks over quote for a hacky repair job. Needed sealant for both tires after the winter. The back tire was barely rideable with the amount of inflation in it. Only when I was halfway back to where I was going on said bike did I realize. Not only that but spent 20 minutes standing there while they finished a bike I had dropped off 3 weeks prior. Side note-also left with no operational back break, thanks.
Steve and his Team are second to none! They are so knowledgeable and experienced that they can give you real world explanations and details about the differences in bikes and components. Their shop is AMAZING and they have the best selection of parts, apparel, helmets..you name it. Stop and and chat with Steve, you WONT regret it. They are simply the best.
Excellent service. Really helpful staff and a great inventory. Always willing to help. Grateful to have you guys on my doorstep.
Airpark Bikes is the best bike shop in the Phoenix area. Well worth the drive to go to the bike shop with hands down the largest inventory. It is really unbelievable just how much they have. If you are looking for a high-end bike chances are they have what your looking for at a great price. If I could leave 6 stars I would. Keep up the great work guys!
Fantastic bike shop. Always exceptional service. I would recommend anyone I know to this shop. Friendly staff and the owner Steve, is always willing to make a deal at at a great price. Without question, Best Bike Shop in the Valley!!
Great local bike shop in a pretty cool shopping area. All the guys are friendly and professional. I like it that they give employment and learning opportunity to the kids with a passion for bikes and riding. It is the whole sense of community that exists in this shop. They have always taken care of me all the friends I have referred. Not sure what the bad reviews here are for, my experiences have always been 5 star. Steve and Jay are always helpful and their prices are less than several other places I have done business with in the past. Im happy theyre in my hood. :)
Great bike shop! The staff here has always been very helpful and knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to make sure I walked out with what I needed. They tend to have higher end bikes and gear, so just about anything you could buy at this shop is good! I also learned a whole lot about maintenance by talking with the guys who were always willing to help out and answer questions. I would not hesitate to send any of my biking friends to this shop, and do make referrals whenever I can. Thanks guys!
Dougie and Colin were amazing. They treated us with a ton of respect and went out of their way to help fix my bike and my dads. They came out here to visit me from socal and were able to get us back on the trail. The prices and service was top notch. I live in south scottsdale so this shop isnt super close but i will mostly deff drive there because of how i was treated. I will deff be buying a Megatower from them when they become available again!
I love this bike shop. I feel like a kid in a candy store. They have a great inventory and take the time to help me with all of my needs. They have made a loyal customer out of me and I dont plan on going anywhere else for any of my biking needs. I drive up from Tempe to shop here and it is worth the drive.
Bought my 1st bike here back in 2016... been back a few times for another bike and other bike stuff. staff is usually slammed (people always in the shop/phones always ringing - actually a good thing), but, staff is always friendly/ready to help. Competitive pricing, cool location/vibe. Give them a try!!!
This is a warning to anyone considering purchasing an electric bike. Airpark does not know how to service electric bikes. They are not trained, and worse yet, they do not respond to phone calls or return calls. The whole store and service department is disorganized and busy. When you buy an expensive bike, make sure you buy it from someone who knows how to fix it when it breaks down. After 3 months of no service, took it somewhere else and got it fixed in a few days.
Finally a bike shop that has the parts and knowledge to get me what I need when I need it. Service has been great too!
Just great staff response and professional PersonnelMitch MandellPs I can’t believe anyone would say Anything other than good things.
I recently moved to Scottsdale and wanted to get back on a bike since recovering from my kidney transplant. A friend recommended Airpark and Im happy he did. Steve and his crew were so friendly and welcoming, it was like hanging out with old buddies. The shop itself is amazing, with an unbelievable inventory of bikes, gear and accessories. Ill soon be back to start building a Santa Cruz Mountain Bike. This is the only shop for me!
This is the place you want to go to buy your bike. They offer some seriously great bikes and have the knowledgable service to go with it. Not only that, but their shop is incredible; seriously a must-see. I highly recommend doing business with Steve at Airpark on your next bike purchase. Big thumbs up!
Great knowledge base and good inventory of mountain bike components. They happened to have all my parts and had my semi custom bike built in a day. Great customer service.
Incredible pricing and great service. They carry all the top lines of Road and Mountain bikes in a most modern setting. Plan on staying awhile as you will find yourself amazed by all they have from bikes, to clothing, accessories and yes even snacks. The owner will do whatever it takes to make sure you are happy.
By far one of the most stacked shops Ive been to. Steve is the man, super personable and is passionate about getting you riding. 10/10 would recommend.
My buddy recommended this shop to me. He built a Hard tail Mountain bike from the ground up. His explanation of the shop was as follows, Bring your drool cup because you will need it! That was an understatement. The shop was amazing and the inventory is unmatched, Anything you want for any type of bike. I will never go anywhere else. We have a whole group of us that have become Santa Cruz junkies and Airpark is the place to build your new bike.
Great bicycle shop. Quality service, great product selection and very friendly helpful staff. Definitely my go to bike shop!
This shop is really cool and the staff are very friendly and knowledgable. I bought my first full suspension from them 14 years ago and returned this year for a new SantaCruz 5010!. Thanks Steve and Dougy for all the help! You guys rock!
Good selection of gear with great prices. Very bad attention to detail and mechanic work. Several careless and severe mistakes made both times my bike has been worked on at this shop.
Great service here. Steve has helped me out several times over the years with everything from helmets, bikes, and tires. Unique store, great products, better people! Thanks airpark bikes!
Great bike brands available at excellent value. Talk to Steve!
Very cool shop where you can spend lots of time checking out the huge inventory of bikes and accessories without any pressure from the staff.
New store location is awesome. Never saw the old place but this shop is amazing. Great customer service and focus.
Steve is a great guy! All nice employees and great service. Full service bike shop with everything you need for biking! A beautiful store too.
Double flatted on ride... charged me $20 for a road bike tube only 😟
Very nice shop had what many other shops did not. The service post sale was also quite good.
Zero customer service if you are a woman. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. It is a real bummer since it is in my neighborhood and I needed a good shop. They have great products but their staff is horrible.
Great bike shop with amazing bike selection and helpful staff.
Phenomenal customer service here. They do everything they can to put together the ideal bike for the customer.
From the moment I walked into the Airport Bicycle Center I was transported into bicycle heaven. WOW... The staff was fantastic. They were knowledgable, very professional and fun to work with. I took their advice and updated a few simple features on my bike and BAM, Im in love with riding again.
Fantastic Service!!! Highly Recommend!!
Best shop ever. Great guys. You cant go wrong.
As much as I hate to give any small business a poor review, I feel its my duty to report my experience with Airpark Bikes so that others dont expect too much from this store. I purchased a $3,000 ebike from them a year ago and was promised a throttle accessory at no charge. Despite my calling them almost monthly for at least 8 months, they never returned my calls and never got me the part. Every time I called, it was: I ordered it - Ill check on it. About 6 months after purchasing the bike, I accidentally broke a brake handle so I returned to them for a replacement. They said theyd order it, but, again, never called me back. These are the reasons for my 1 star review.
Spent nearly $100 for flat repairs and flat prevention items. Bike tire went flat within a month of having the work done. Brought the bike back to these guys thinking they could do something to help me out. Found out otherwise, as they evidently do not cover thorn punctures. I understand we have an abundance of thorns in our desert region, but I would think that they would make an exception to satisfy the customer here, considering the minimal time that went by.Ended up purchasing a replacement tube at WalMart, which is what I should have done in the first place....lesson learned. Will not be going back to this shop in the future, nor will I recommend them to anyone.
I recently got into Mountain biking and the guys at Airpark Bikes were great at helping me pick out what was best for me and giving me great tips on riding.
Cool store; good prices; great people!
Great atmosphere and Steve and Jay will get you set up on a great bike.
Poorly managed shop. While in Scottsdale on business I stopped in to check out the shop. I have been accused of being a gear hound! After trying on several helmets, and with Steves recommendation, I decided on the LAS Supreme in its unnecessary but fancy protective case. Expensive, but why not! They didnt have it in stock, but I like to support the brick and mortar shops. Amazon would have been less expensive, but we need the local shops to stay in business (to try gear on!) I asked Steve if he would order it and ship it to me in Tennessee. He said the helmet listed for $375.00 but because he was putting together a large order would sell me the helmet for $300 plus $10 shipping. I placed the order and he charged my credit card the $300 for the helmet. When it arrived it was not the LAS Supreme but the LAS Victory ($249.00 list price, $169 on Amazon) I called and talked to Ryan to let them know of the error. He said they did not have any of the Supremes as ordered. He appologized and we agreed that I would return the helmet and he would refund my charges once the helmet was received. Six weeks after FedEx confirmed the helmet had been received, I still had not received a credit. I called and spoke with Ryan again. He said he would check into it. He called me back and confirmed that they had indeed received the helmet, but would have to call me back to process the refund.Very long story...four months later with at LEAST a half a dozen phone calls to the shop, I resorted to disputing the charges with my Credit Card. Today my card holder called and was able to get Scott to process a refund, but with a 20% restocking fee deducted!Your error...four months of hassle...and you charge ME a $60 restocking fee??
Nice selection of bikes and gear at fair prices and I found everything I needed. The staff was friendly and eager to help.
So many cool bikes with great customer service
Very rude and not interested in selling me a bike. I already purchased a bike from the ( it was fiasco )and tried to purchase another. It seemed like I was inconveniencing them when I was trying to purchase a second bike. I would buy a bike anywhere but this place.
