I brought my Porsche here for a check engine light diagnostic. When I initially went in, the team was really friendly and inviting. A few days after I dropped my car off, they got back with me with a quote at almost $5000. With a long list of things wrong with my car. Including misfiring cylinders, sludgy oil and a lot of other things. When I went in to let them know that I would be picking up my car to get another quote, the whole vibe changed lol. I felt like they were trying to intimidate me and gaslight me into using their services. I guess I should’ve expected that from some of the responses to the reviews they have! Anyway, I took my car to another shop in town, I showed them the diagnostic report that becks team gave me. The other shop let me know that many of the repairs becks suggested were actually not needed and probably ways to squeeze money out of me. This other shop quoted me at around $2000 and the fix they suggested was completely different than what becks recommend. I ended up going with the other shop (obviously) and was thrilled with the service and the fix they provided. I do not recommend becks unless you are okay with being bullied into spending a ton of money on fixes that probably aren’t needed. Also, I hope whoever writing the responses to reviews knows how bad some responses make your company look. Completely unprofessional and rude.
Brought my M4 up from Tucson for some Dinan modifications as there is no availability in Tucson. From my first inquiry through scheduling the work to be done on a day that worked for me, to getting it done in one day so I didnt have to go back and forth, to the excellent work, all top notch. Very knowledgeable and professional. Well worth the trip from Tucson. And a 540hp M4 is a lot of fun to drive!
Awesome service, we take our 99 Boxster there for maintenance and repairs and are treated like New Turbo owners. Have never failed to fix a problem, known or unknown at drop off. Get it done quickly and no added fees we didnt know about. Highly recommend.Edit: just took a break and read all the reviews, after reading their response to the few dissatisfied trolls I love em even more!
Took my 1967 Porsche 912 to Beck’s for suspension rebuild and sport seat install. This was not an easy job as the 912 had been “restored” in 1990 which means the accuracy/quality of the previous work was unknown at best. Beck’s did a great job with my car, I have known about Frank Beck for some time as I used to have many Porsches ( in another state ) and was aware of his background. I was very comfortable with my early 912 in his hands as he knows his stuff. The car is now completely different in a good way, and while the project was not inexpensive the cost was fair, and I know done correctly despite Beck having to navigate the through the “sins” of the past and the dodgy workmanship of the older restoration. No hesitation to bring the car back to Beck’s shop, and in fact will have future projects lined up for them in the coming months. Excellent shop.
Outstanding service!!! Im only in town for a few days and needed a plastic piece under the bumper fixed before driving to California. The staff was so friendly, they were booking a week and a half out, but they got me in right away and fixed it while I waited at no charge. I wish I could get this kind of service in at home. I highly reccomend Becks!
New to Phoenix and was looking for a reputable shop to work on my 60’s era Porsches. Beck’s European came highly recommended. After giving them a punchlist of items to sort out, they stayed in constant contact with me throughout the process. All the repairs were done and the car runs like a dream again.Happy to have found them so early in my Phoenix residency.
Definitely not impressed with this company. They are over priced in my opinion and I wont be bringing any more vehicles there. They quoted me 15k for a remanufactured motor swap and then wanted to add on another 2k before they got started. I had my car towed to a different company and they did the job with a brand new crate motor from start to finish for 6000 less than Becks and they gave a 2 year warranty on their work, something that Becks didnt offer. I wanted to be clear that Im not upset with Becks, their pricing pushed me to find a company that actually cares about their customers and has reasonable pricing. And yes, I did find a company that would do it for 6000 less and they didnt have to replace the starter that you said was bad. Youre responses are comical and make you seem that you dont care if you lose customers. Pretty soon youll push them all away if you act like a child every time someone says something that you dont agree with. If you doubt me, on the pricing, I have the paperwork to prove it.
If you intend on purchasing a pre-owned Porsche from a dealership, I highly recommend bringing it to Becks for a pre-purchase inspection within the 15 day/500 mile implied warranty period. I recently purchased a low-mileage, seemingly pristine 2012 Porsche Cayenne from a local dealership and upon delivery immediately took it to Becks for a PPI. Im so glad I did, because Becks discovered several not-so-minor mechanical issues that the dealership obviously failed to bring to my attention. When I took Becks findings back to the dealership, they tried to minimize the issues by stating that Becks is overly meticulous with their PPIs. As a dealership, I get their concern. However, as a consumer, I fail to see a problem with that--especially when Ive purchased an older vehicle with hidden defects that will be very expensive to repair! Armed with Becks PPI report, knowledge of AZs implied warranty statute, and most importantly, Kimberlys expertise and knowledge (she gave me some guidance so I could have a cogent conversation with the dealership--they also ended up speaking with her about the report), I refused to let them walk all over me. Ultimately, I came to a resolution with the dealership and I have Becks and Kimberly to thank. #girlpower #knowledgeispower
1st when I call that was greeted by a very Stern woman in which who is using a very rude ton with let me talk to a mechanic. I was only trying to help the situation by going straight to mechanic than trying to confuse her but she smartly said I know more than you think. My car 1st arrived it took over a week to look at it and then I get a charge for $300 just from to do 15 minutes of work which was just to pull the oil Pan. Confused about the amount that was stated I called back in the same service lady was very rude and abrupt and immediately said I think you should pick up your car. I then told her no I am paying and I am not taking orders from someone who sits at a computer you havent touched a bolt on my car. After they finally looked at my car they rejected my service and said your engines to messed up we cannot work on it. I told them I was going to pick up the car but it would take about 4 days for me to pick it up and transfer to another shop in which they said now that I owed a $100 for storage. It wouldve only been 96 hours of storage. Pricing was astronomical services rude they train their front desk ladies to just sit on a computer and read numbers. If you question anything they do they immediately get insulted. If you have the money they will charge you over and over and over until you leave with a 4 figure maybe even 5 figure bill from their shop. Due to the high volume they have they treat everyone very poorly because they know that they have a lot of customers anyways. Never going back.MY RESPONCE TO OWNER OF BECKS:For all of you who have read the intense mockery the 1 star reviews make of the owner here it is quite funny, as he responds his tone is always defensive. He never once says that they were in the right, only how we are always in the wrong. This shop does have an average 4.5 review rate here on google but when you call and ask local shops what they think of this place you do not hear good things unless these local shops are affiliated with them. I simply discussed straight facts and what happened with me and my experience and the owner immediately went to say how I was young and essentially was ruined by the school system?! This is completely irrelevent here, we are talking about my vehicle and not where I go to school. The owner uses a sense of circle reasoning and constantly goes back to how clueless I really am when in all reality his staff behind the desk that work the phones do not know anything and neither does he. I stated that the 300 dollar charge was made and what they did that was on my bill was just a pull of the oil pan and pictures sent to me of the metal in the pan, I did not get a lab-certified oil sample and this job takes all of 20 minutes for them to do, which does not add up to 300 for the work they did, my oil filter was sitting nice on the passenger seat for them in a plastic bag and they didnt even have to do that. However the OWNER who is apparently a genius which didnt call me once, had made the erroneous claim that they pulled the oil filter themselves. This all goes back to that circle reasoning of how the owner WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING. ALL HE DOES IS SAY HOW WE ARE WRONG AND HE IS RIGHT. I wish this owner would not hide behind a computer screen and give the owners of these cars a call but it is a fact that he cannot backup any claims he makes.Strike number 1000 for becks, heres anotherWhen my vehicle was there I was not given the option or even remotely offered a replacement engine, the genius staff has just told me where do you want to go from here. THE OWNER, again the lyrical genius who has a way with sarcasm, in his response to me said that after I realized my car needed over 15k worth of work he took his frustration out on us however this is not the case for several reasons. I knew that this job would not cost 15k, Im at a shop right now doing the same exact quality of work for half WITH LABOR. All in all, this owner tries to make a mockery out of its customers when HE ONLY IS PURELY DISRESPECTFUL.
BEWARE—FRAUDThe worst part of this experience was that they charged me to replace parts that were never replaced. One specific example was that they documented on my receipt that they replaced my upper radiator hose. The dealer showed me, documented it, and gave me the old upper radiator hose that clearly was not replaced and was still damaged on my vehicle. The bad reviews are correct. This is just one example of fraud and I will be pursuing recourse.Overview:I took my 2012 BMW there for an oil leak issue. They charged me $2400 to fix two leaks, one of which I had fixed previously. They seemed reputable so I hesitantly approved their work. I get my car back and it starts smoking after I drive it. It turns out that they didn’t even clean the oil off when they fixed it and I had to deal with a smoking car every time I parked for the next 200 miles (BMW dealer assured me this should not have happened). Then, after about 220 miles, a check engine light comes on so I take it back in. They now diagnose a temperature sensor issue and ask for $1100 for it. This all seemed fishy so I decided to refuse their service and took it to the dealer for a second opinion. When I took it to the dealer, they told me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my engine temperature sensor and they are not sure why Becks would come to that conclusion. I asked them to double check and they did with the same result. The final nail in the coffin was that the dealer showed me that the real cause of my main leak (the issue I went in for) was the oil pan gasketThere are several reviews with a similar situation where people have to take it back numerous times which leads to me to believe that there are serious quality control issues. After taking it to the dealer, I know that they are committing fraud. Now, the owner calls me and is very cocky and aggressive. He tries to make it seem like I don’t know what I’m talking about and tries to accuse me of ruining his reputation. He barely seemed interested in having a conversation. He mostly was just trying to belittle me into either continuing to do business with him or just go away. He tried to make me seem illogical and treated me like a child. He then offered to take $200 off. The whole situation was questionable so I refused because I wanted to have my car evaluated by the dealer. The dealer showed me all parts, documented all their work, and gave me all replaced parts. After the dealer reviewing Beck’s receipt and their notes, they confidently said that Beck’s European lied and committed fraud by charging me for some parts and service that they did not do.Additionally, all other employees were courteous and kind—EXCEPT Frank Beck. Save yourself some time and just go to the dealer as this place won’t save you time or much money and could possibly be scamming you.Update 3/24/2019:Now the door lock pin fell into the door. They fixed my door lock actuator 2 months ago in January of 2019.
I took my E30 in for AC issue and a cold start noise based on the reviews here. Initial communication on cost and next steps was clear, but when I came to pick up the car I was informed the AC was not optimal and may need a new compressor. The next day I was told the master tech would like to look at the car and he would return the following week. Several days passed with no updates. When I finally heard back they were still unable to improve the AC after changing out the seals/orings. I inquired about cost spent to date (the last update I had was just under 1K). That cost had nearly doubled without any warning and in the end no change in performance to the AC system. I protested based on the lack of communication and they cut the bill by a couple hundred. Had they actually fixed something I would have been happy to pay full price. Further, the car was returned dirty with hard water spots on the valve cover and intake, sunflower seeds on the passenger floor and all 4 seats stained from jeans or dark pants. Not sure what would necessitate 4 people being in the vehicle. From my experience a waste of time and money.
Really appreciate the professionalism and willingness to help the customer. They helped me with a pre-purchase inspection as an out of town potential buyer for a vehicle in the Scottsdale area. Not a tremendously expensive car, but important to me, and it was treated equal respect and attentiveness that one would hope. Great communication and explanation of services from Kenna (10 gold stars) which went exactly as was described. It is obvious that they are passionate about what they do!
The Becks team handled my 996 Porsche and E90 M3 as if they were their own. I very highly recommend them for BMW and Porsche service!
Pre-purchase assessment: 2016 Porsche Boxster. They were so professional and customer friendly, quickly and patiently responding to my (numerous) questions about the car. Thanks to them I felt comfortable buying the car, sight unseen, from a different state. Many thanks!
Frank and his wife were not honest!!I asked Frank to be my eyes on a 993 because I could not fly out to inspect the car personally.(covid) His PPI was totally a waste of money. The best part .., he tried to sell me services I did not need.My car has large areas with rust, operational issues that were not revealed and 2 cracks in the shock arms. When I questioned him after I received the car, he told me that he never personally inspected the car. He was too busy. And he refused to return my fees.Stay away from Becks European. It’s a bad family business.Eric
Beck’s European does an amazing job with every aspect of their business. I am a service director and a large domestic new car dealership. I let the professionals at Beck’s service my 2013 Porsche 911. If that does not tell you how much I appreciate and respect all they do what will. Sure my team is very capable of performing all the maintenance but I take it to Beck’s. You should give them a shot and I promise you will never look back.
I trust Becks to work on my vintage 911 and keep it running in great condition. Frank and his team never try to sell me on services the car doesnt need and they always treat me fairly and with respect. From a scheduled service to a breakdown repair they can tackle the jobs big and small to keep the car on the road for many more miles.
Frank and his team are very thorough and take pride in repairing Porsche cars and their love for these vehicles shows. They are great at communicating what they feel needs to be done and always give you that option before proceeding. I have confidence that my 911, which will be 20 years old is taking care of.
Have used Beck’s for maintenance for the past two years, but recently got stranded with a dead electrical system. Frank had it diagnosed quickly, and replaced the alternator. The office staff is top-notch, and always helpful. Kenna and Kimberly respond almost immediately to emails, which is a big plus for me (it’s very difficult for me to use the phone during the day).My 85 Carrera will be coming back to Beck’s the next time I need service.
I have been taking my 1977 911 to BECK’S for the last three years since moving to the valley. I have always had a great experience. The quotes for work were detailed and accurate. The car was ready when it was promised. Frank even sent me to another shop when I needed work that he did not normally do. BECK’S is like family. I wish I could give this business more then 5 stars.
We have been taking our Porsche’s here for over a decade. We have always received top notch customer service and quality long lasting work with great attention to detail. It is a pleasure and honor supporting one Phoenix’s best family owned businesses. Thank you again for taking such good care of our cars!
I feel confident taking my BMW or Porsche to Beck’s. They are specialists, not generalists, and care as much about my car as I do! They communicate promptly and professionally.
Becks European came to the rescue for me in June 2020! I want to give a special shout-out to Kenna at Becks. She is the BEST Front Desk Customer Service Rep I have ever experienced. And she knows her Porsches.I bought a used Porsche Panamera Turbo from a terrible dealer who did not check the safety of my brakes. I will mention them by name - do no buy a car them - Certified Benz & Beemer - awful experience there. Long story short, my brakes failed in traffic two days after purchasing the car and I was in a minor accident (could have been way worse). We towed the car to Becks and they concluded that the brake line had never been flushed and there was air in line. This was the dealerships fault. They charged me under $200 for the service and test drove it 3 times to make sure it was safe. They also noticed a rattle in the front passenger door and repaired that by fixing a bent clip for no charge! Also, my husband and I wanted to replace the wheels and tires. The previous (idiot) put 22 in rims when the standard was 19 in front and 20 rear. We sourced the rims and they sourced the tires. They gave us a very good deal on four tires and kept us informed every step of the way. Kenna bends over backwards to take care of her customers.I highly recommend Becks because they have fair pricing, are attentive and very communicative! Please dont believe any of the negative reviews about them. I read them and do not agree with them!
Ive taken my cars to Becks for several years. Great family, great business. Conscientious, quality work at fair prices!
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! I cannot say enough how excited I am to have found Becks European to do some work on my RS4. They were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Its so hard to find a shop you can trust but Becks European was Top Notch. Thank you so much.
Becks European sold me a Porsche 911 GTS.The transaction was very professional and I have the confidence that my car is well maintained and is a nice purchase. I feel my new relationship with this team will be a winning and mutually beneficial for some time to come.
Great folks at Becks, especially Kenna! All were absolutely awesome with assisting me with information! Professional, helpful and so courteous!Kudos Becks European Team!
I have an ‘88 Porsche and I’ve lived in AZ for 14 years. I’ve tried many Porsche shops in the area before finding Frank at Beck’s. Beck’s is honest and always shows a real interest in doing what’s right for your car. They are very easy to work with and it’s such a relief to know I can trust what they are telling me. I would definitely recommend them!
I havent actually had my Porsche serviced by Becks yet, but I will certainly give them a try. I brought my vehicle in to get an estimate to replace the cab top pump and rams. I am a new Porsche owner and was happy that Kimberly took the time to spell some things out for me instead of talking above me and making assumptions. She even laid out a few options to fit my budget and pointed out some areas of potential concern. Thank you for a great first time visit!
2011 Audi A6 for rear brakes, tie rod ends and 2 broken seat-back covers. Perfect repairs, done on time as promised. Fairly priced and a car wash to boot. Will definitely return.
Beck’s’ kept me in the loop and was proactive working on my 1983 911sc. With an almost 40 year old car issues creep up. Beck’s inspectedthe car and gave me recommendations to be ahead of any issues. Great job.Jim
I had an issue with one of my cars and Frank took care of me. Be sure to chat with Frank if you have any issues. He is a good businessman that will take care of you.
Several years ago I used Becks to evaluate a Porsche I was restoring. Although I know longer have the vehicle, I saw their name today and remember what a good experience I had with them.
Ive known Frank & Kimberly for over 25 years and they are a real blessing. To know someone is working on your vehicle and does things the right way provides peace of mind. Rest assured they do that and you can trust them without hesitation.
After buying a 2007 Porsche Cayman S with 90k miles, I took it to Beck’s European for a post purchase inspection. I also asked for some direction in preparing the car to run on track days. Frank and Kimberly took great care of me and the car. They did a great job transforming the Cayman S into solid car that was ready for the track. Since then, Beck’s has continued to provide advice and service to help make my Cayman S a great track day car.
I was very impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. The issue with my car was resolved within 24 hours! I will take my car back there
I dropped into Becks a day earlier than my appointment as I was in the area. I asked if they could possibly diagnose my 987s fault indicator at that time rather than bringing car back the next day. I really didnt think it possible. This is a very nice Porsche facility in Scottsdale with Im sure many high end client appointments. To my surprise, they immediately squeezed me in, diagnosed and corrected the issue and sent me on my way. They even worked through lunch to get me back on the road. Great experience. Will definitely use these guys for all my Porsche needs.
Shop seemed reputable based on reviews, however found out the hard way they are very far from forthright. Took weeks to come up with same diagnosis dealer took 2 days to determine. Dealer didn’t even charge me the initially quoted hour of diagnosis time. Only authorized Becks $300 of parts/labor repairs yet upon being told that fixed nothing was told my charges were over $1,200. They refused to release vehicle and were demanding $50/day if not paid immediately. This isnt enough money to waste my time with police or lawyers with but I strongly encourage looking elsewhere and not make the same mistake!
Our 996 C4S Cab is one of our daily drivers. We are amazed at how reliable it is. But its an 04 and now its time to start some maintenance on it. When it was time to take it in for an alternator fix we didnt think twice about Becks European doing the work. They are so friendly and professional. They inspected the car while they had it and found some other things that we didnt notice, like a minor oil leak. This attention to detail is something weve come to love about Becks. We left the car in their capable hands for a week while we were on vacation, and when we returned it was washed and ready to go. Now our baby is ready to go as far as we want to take it. Thanks again, Frank, Kimberly, and the staff at Becks European for always taking great care of us.
They were able to get my car in the next day and staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I won’t be taking it anywhere else for service!
You know that your Porsche is in good hands when you see the number of Porsches they have in the lot, in the back being worked on as well as the classics in their showroom.Had the clutch/gear oil & transmission fluid changed as preventative maintenance on my 997.2. Easy to work with Kimberly via email and phone for an estimate and scheduling the appointment.Kimberly is also very pleasant in person and the experience truly felt warm and that my baby was being taken care of. They even put a large warning on my file to indicate that I dont want my car washed since I like to detail it personally. Will definitely be back in the future for the quality of service and the fair prices.
Great customer service, my 2009 Mini Cooper S was done fast, done right, and done when Beck’s said it would be. I have had not-so-great experiences with other North Valley shops, but Beck’s was great. Will be bringing my Porsches here when it’s time too. If you have German cars, save yourself some aggravation and just start with Beck’s...great indy shop.
Rude, very hard to communicate with only their time matters
Becks performed a PPI on a 997 Turbo for me recently. I couldnt be more satisfied with the service they provided. I was an out of state buyer and was able to rely on the staff at Becks to be my independent advocate. They went above and beyond to help me get all the information I needed to make an informed decision on the car. I purchased the car and their description was spot on. Thank you Becks, in particular thank you to Kimberly - you were a complete star!
Absolutely excellent client service. Highly recommend.
Becks quickly took care of a problem I had with the convertible top on my 911 and an irritating check engine light. Both issues got resolved. And I received follow up emails from Becks to make sure all was well. I really appreciated the personal touch and great communication throughout. Im a 1st time customer and was treated like family. I give them 5 stars.
I have a winter home in Scottsdale where I bring my 1999 911 C4 in October and leave in April. I needed muffler replacements this spring, which were done competently by Becks, and it also turned out there were other issues which needed attention, such as motor mount replacements. The car now runs great and the ride back home was a dream. Sorry for the corrosion on some of the parts you had to remove, Frank. Even though I dont drive it in the snow at home, the road salt can create havoc!
I was referred to Becks European by my friend Alex about 2.5 years ago. I needed a good BMW service company that was honest, good but fair with their pricing. Becks has delivered. I have been using them for oil changes or to solve my problems anytime the service light goes on. They have been consistently great every time I go, with me never feeling like they are trying to push unneeded repairs. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good European car service.
I have worked in the Automotive industry for 30 years making precision parts to sell directly into OEM - USA and European (German) sports car market. Likewise, I am avid driver of high performance cars. I was very impressed with the level of competency and technical ability of Becks service. I was also pleasantly surprised by Becks professionalism and thoroughness in handling my service needs. If you have service needs on a high performance car, I sincerely recommend their work.
They worked on my 911, oil change and some small stuff. Nothing that you can mess up. But the experience was highly unpleasant. To me Frank Becks arrogance is the problem. Dealing with him and his pretentious style is such a turn off.
Just got off the phone with Kenna(?) although they did not specialize in working with Mercedes, she confidently referred us to another service in a kind, professional, friendly manner. Five stars for excellent customer service.
Have been going there since moving to Phoenix. I feel confident the work is done right and have never had to bring my cars back. Staff is very approachable and scheduling is easy. No regrets. Glad I found Becks, being relatively new to the valley.
Becks European did a great job servicing my 2013 Porsche 991.I am a Service Director for a Domestic new car dealership, and trust Becks totally. I would recommend Becks to all my friends and family.
I trust them with my car which is a big deal for me. They know German cars, they are honest, prices are fair.
After I’d been out of Arizona for more than a week, my 2006 Cayman S would not start. I suspected that the 2.5 year old battery was bad. I put the battery on the charger and called AAA, who arrived 45 minutes later. By that time the car started. AAA said the battery tested OK, a little short of the specification cranking amps, but that was because it didn’t have enough time to charge fully. For the next few days I had to use the charger to get the car started in the morning. I suspected that it had developed an electrical problem that was draining the battery. (My first Porsche was a 924 that had several electrical problems, culminating in a complete new wiring harness, so I’m highly sensitive to electrical problems.) I drove the car to Beck’s, where I’ve taken my 944 and Cayman S since I came to Arizona in 1998, for everything including prep for track events. They immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad battery, nothing worse. Since the battery was still under warranty, I returned it to the place of purchase for a full replacement. Beck’s installed the new replacement battery quickly when I returned. I’ve had no problems since, now more than a month. I’ll be scheduling Beck’s for the 60,000 mile routine service in the next month or two. I trust Beck’s for the correct diagnosis.
Do not take your car to Becks EuropeanA month ago I took my Porsche Boxster to Becks to get my car diagnosed and repaired because emission codes were causing my check engine light to stay on. After sitting there for over a week they informed me that they needed $1400 to begin repairs. I asked how much I already had into the vehicle and they told me $125 for a visual inspection that included pulling the codes. Without even diagnosing the problem the woman owner tried to sell me injector gaskets that we’re not even necessary for the repair. I took my car to Scottsdale Porsche where it was fixed quickly and perfectly for $550 without charging for a visual inspection or a diagnostic fee.Lesson learned : Take your car to the dealership where they specialize in repairing pushes not any service repair shop.
Contacted Becks to do a PPI on an 1987 Porsche 911 Targa. Early on in their inspection, they found a major issue and immediately stopped worked and called me to let me know. THEY DIDNT EVEN CHARGE ME FOR THE FULL INSPECTION. Not only that, but I was not a local and did not know them at all, and they did know they seller of the Targa- yet still had the integrity to be honest and protect their customers interest. Their communication was fantastic, also! I cant think of what more you could ask for in a Porsche independent mechanic. Their work, attitude, commitment, and integrity were all some of the best I have experienced. Thank you so much, Becks!
Great expertise and friendly service from Frank & Kimberly Beck!
Kimberly, Joann and Frank ARE THEE BEST out there. They ended up playing a role in my never-ending story of If its going to happen, its going to happen to Lynn - and it did, four different incidences consecutively in three weeks. 1) Whistling, screaming noise - fixed.2) Went to test drive, nail in tire - needed new tire. OK, one more time; 3) Frank took it for a ride to insure a-ok, water pump blew out - he had to be towed back to his own shop! OK, all fixed - really. I go to pay - 4) my bank account hacked and had to wait for funds to be recovered to pay and get my car. Kimberly drove me back and forth to my home twice! Their patience, support, professionalism, graciousness and sense of humor is second to none. They made a very tough situation for me, easier. AND, their repair costs very reasonable (Im from CA and would pay another 25%+, Im sure). As long as I am in AZ with my Boxster, Becks will continue to be its doctor!
Cant say enough about the quality of service provided by Becks. I have had three of my Porsches serviced there. When my Boxster presented me with a check engine light, Frank and his staff diligently worked to find the solution. Notwithstanding the significant effort involved the charges were very reasonable. Becks restored my 1968 912 and turned out a very nice car with great paint, interior and running gear. This was an extensive project and included sourcing many original parts. I found the overall cost to be appropriate. Most recently, Frank helped me acquire a 996 Turbo Cabriolet. He and his staff thoroughly evaluated the car and completed all the necessary maintenance and repairs in a timely and efficient manner. To me Becks European is the only place to bring your Porsche no matter what year or model you have. On a personal note I cannot conclude without saying that these are really NICE people.
Frank and his team have always treated us wonderfully. They diagnose any problems Ive had and offer up quick and affordable solutions. Becks is the only place Ill ever take my M3.
We have been doing business with Becks European for a number of years; Frank and his team continue to exceed expectations on all work performed. We have had both our Carrera and our 911 TT serviced at Becks....all work has been flawless; they are honest and provide excellent diagnostic services. The staff is very professional. Kudos to Frank and the team he has assembled. Highly recommended!! Thanks for great service - Paul P
Nice people over at Becks European. Its not often you get to speak to the owner himself, Frank and Kimberly really know their business. Honestly the experience reminds me of going to an expensive restaurant and when you get the bill its a little higher then anticipated, but you dont mind, because the meal and service were excellent.
I have purchased two low mileage Porsches through Becks and they also had maintained the cars before and after my purchase. Both were pristine examples and performed spectacularly. I ended up storing the latter for some 15 years and and Becks brought the 928GT back to life including solving a couple of diabolical issues. The new Potenza RE11s stick like nothing I have experienced. Great work! Great work ethic.
The team at Becks European were great. When the Mini Cooper dealership told us that our daughters 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman needed out of warranty work, we wanted a second opinion. We called Becks to get an estimate. Matt and Christy were great in giving us a quote that was 30% less than the dealership. We made the decision to let Becks do the service, which they completed on time and at the estimated amount. Thanks! We really appreciate having someone we can trust…Cathy, Jeff & Shay
Great service, worked around my schedule, very attentive to detail. Mechanics are car guys themselves and own some of the same cars their customers bring in. Reasonable prices, quick turnaround times.
SO professional. Very helpful. Its the only place I will take my Porsche! I have had a very good experience with every visit.
Dont get prepurchase inspection, they will buy your car from seller if they think its a deal!
Driving my 1985 911 Carrera from San Francisco to Phoenix over the Christmas holidays, I encountered a harrowing problem with the right front caliper, which would periodically grab the wheel, nearly pulling me off the road. Arriving in Phoenix, I called Becks without hesitation as they had bailed me out of an emergency some years earlier. Again I was shoe-horned into a busy schedule, and the repair along with other prudent recommendations was completed as projected, even though the doors were held open after hours. Thank you John, Frank, and Kimberly.
Becks is the only place you need to go for your Porsche, BMW or Mini needs. I found them by luck just after arriving in town. Fabulous people from the mechanics in back to Frank & Kimberly the owners and of course Lacee in the administrative area. Actually, you will probably find Frank out back working too while Kimberly tends to the office.Just great people who do great work. I have checked several other places and they just dont compare to the friendliness and quality not to mention working with people who are passionate about their business that you find at Becks European! If you have an issue with your car or need scheduled maintenance, or you just need help diagnosing a problem, or you want a pre-purchase inspection done, or advice on modifications that will benefit your car or perhaps you want to buy the parts from them and try it yourself. Just give them a call. Of course running a business must be profitable but at Becks I always get the feeling they would do it for nothing if they could!
I have taken my last 3 cars, a Porsche and 2 BMWs, to Becks. They are honest and competent. Most recently, a dealer wanted to perform $1700 of work on my Beamer, which Becks diagnosed as normal wear and, unnecessary to repair, period. According to a Porsche dealer in the area, my Porsche Cayenne required a very expensive replacement of the computer-controller for the power seats, Becks technician fixed in 2 minutes by reprogramming the key fob. No charge. No kidding. I live 30 miles from Becks, but will take my car nowhere else. The work they have performed has been excellent, reasonable, and on time.
It seems the strong point of Becks is Porsche. They are everywhere and the most awesome of the bunch are in the waiting room/Porsche Museum. Quite the collection. The cars are only out done by Kimberly and staff in the office who are as friendly (and helpful) as anyone I have ever met in an automobile repair/build shop.Becks installed a Dinan tuning kit in my Old Man BMW 2015 535i because after two M3s and an M Coupe along with a number of other models, I really needed the 535 to get a shot of Monster. It was too lethargic and when my son in Houston bought his M4 and had it Dinaned to the MAX I had to also. Sorry to say I had a little problem with it last week. Was running a bit rough off and on. So had it towed to Becks and after only two days it was ready for road test and Becks took care of that, drove it fifty miles to be absolutely sure it was back up to spec. Runs better than before. And I love to surprise Porsches and AMGs at red lights. Becks European is certainly a shop you can trust with your much more highly engineered Bimmer. (Thats a shot at all my Porsche buds back in the Windy City.
Excellent staff and expertise, especially with Porsche models.
WAY OVER PRICED. Not the only one that thinks so. I spoke to others and they had the same to say after taking their cars there too. Charged full brice for new parts only to find out they used old parts sourced from god knows where according to three people I spoke to AFTER they work on mine. They charged me slightly under what the dealer wanted but more than waht the part was. Had the vehicle for three weeks (yet didnt work on it full time either) as they didnt know what was wrong with it.When asked where they did the repair they were all secretive of it. About two years later it failed again. Guess what, after looking around I found where they did the work. They used about $2.00 of patch wire and charged over $1000 for the repair. A new harness was only $135. I didnt even get that. Now I do all my own work and Ill never take it there again. Just be warned. Not what it seems to be. Maybe you all with a ton of money think it is a steal but not everyone has unlimited pockets.
Not cheap but excellence isnt. They have taken good care of my 996.
Great place !
Excellent quality pre-purchase inspection and customer service. A gem.
Becks is THE place for Porsche and the only place Ill take my Cayenne. Thank you Lacie, Kimberly, Frank and everyone.
Wont find more knowledgeable Porsche folks anywhere.
Frank and Kim are the best!
