They did not actually repair my AC but that was the request. They were the company my American Home Shield (my home warranty company) sent out when my AC went out. That was last Friday (a day after my request) and they said it needed a part that had to be approved by AHS and ordered and would be 3-5 days before they would be back. Mind you this is when temps were 115. They found the part locally (luckily) so were able to schedule the repair for Tuesday (5 days after my initial call). That did not fix the issue so I had to call them back. Tech came later that day and found some other issues that he missed the first time. Oh and almost $1000 in Freon because he had to release it even though it was just charged the week before. Fixed those issues and said it was done and working. It was not. Called them back and they said they could not get someone out until the following day (today). Said they were sending a Sr Tech to figure out the issue. He came and said the issue is an air cleaner that was installed almost a year ago by a reputable AC company. (really?) so he disconnected the air cleaner (did not look any further for a problem) and said it is fixed but call right away if any issue. Also told me to reach out to the other company and get my money back with the warranty for the air cleaner. Well of course within less than an hour of him leaving it began to cycle on and off and blow warm air. Same issue I originally called about. I sent him a text and called the office and got voicemail so I left a message. Never heard back. Left a few more messages and sent another text to the tech. Now it is after hours and of course there is no hope of them calling me back. I am going to dispute the Freon charges since they had to release all if it and it was fully charged and I will be looking for a new home warranty company. Preferably one who have a call center in the US and an office where people will actually call you back.More on Iceman - They never did get back to me yesterday or this morning. Luckily I got a referral from a family member for another company and the tech was here within an hour, found the issue, replaced the part and AC has been working since and it was only $210.Iceman needs to reimburse me for the Freon charges since my AC was fully charged and they should have reclaimed it and put the same back in instead of charging me for 12 pounds (over $1000). If they did not reclaim it and released it then they are in violation.Ironically American Home Shield sent me a text this morning asking for a review of the service. I will just copy and paste this review. Maybe they can avoid paying Iceman for the unnecessary parts they said my unit needed.

My home warranty chose this company for me. So I understand them doing the bare minimum to get my air conditioner working. What I dont understand is the technicians inability to properly diagnose the problem or the companys integrity to replace two cheap parts to make the AC work instead of one part and allowing the system to fail again. The capacitor on the inside was bad and the contactor was on the verge of death, only replacing the capacitor and not both parts allowed for the wires to heat up and melt through other wires and burn the contactor. If youre going to do a job, do it right the first time or send out a tech that can better diagnose the problem.

Guy came out to fix my AC spent 20 minutes at my house said it was fixed. Checked my temp after 10 min and saw it was blowing hot, went outside and the ac isn’t even blowing. Called tech back immediately and was told I would have to be rescheduled. Been without AC for four days now and now have to wait longer. I will update this if they actually fix the issue in a timely manner but not holding my breath.Update: As promised I am updating my post. Fernando came back to my house and fixed my issue and explained everything. He was very nice and apologetic and believe there might have been a mis understanding between us. I would like to to tell him thank you for getting my AC working.Update Again: STAY AWAY from them. The motor they replaced twice has died again and they refuse to do anything about it and I have to go through AHS again and pay another $100 for subpar work. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Also stay away from AHS they are just as bad. I plan on reporting both companies to BBB for their work and will find a real company to come and fix my AC.

I was assigned this company in 2018 by AHS to fix a cooling issue I had reoccurring from years past that other A/C technicians never fixed properly. I waited to post this review to be certain their fix worked. Well, it is almost 3 years later, and the fix is still working and saving me lots of money.ICEMAN had found a hairline crack that was leaking refrigerant, and they welded it closed rather than replacing the unit. This weld has worked, and no more leaks. Now, I have an A/C problem at my rental, so I requested ICEMAN instead of CRISPY AIR AND HEATING which was originally assigned to the ticket. Hopeful;y 3 years later, ICEMAN service will be as good as 3 years ago. I will post another review based on my more recent experience with them in the coming days or weeks.

When my home air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the summer, I contacted my warranty company who, in turn, assigned Iceman Cooling to repair the unit. When the technician, Carlos, first arrived, he seemed personable and quick to repair the unit. What he told me was that the A/C capacitor was no longer working and immediately installed a new one. That day, the A/C unit turned back on and was blowing cold air again. A day later, there was a noticeable leak coming from the attic causing damage to the drywall in the ceiling. I immediately contacted the company again who stated they would send a technician to diagnose. A day later, the same technician, Carlos, arrived to inspect the issue once again. At first, he stated that the primary drain was clogged and all he needed to do was unclog. After he unclogged the primary drain he said that everything was working correctly again and (for an additional $250.00 not covered by my warranty) could install a switch that would shut the unit off if it began leaking again. I declined, as I did not have the additional funds at that moment. After about 30 minutes of wrapping up, the tech approached me and stated that the drain pan in the attic was cracked and that is actually why the water was leaking into my attic. I asked him what could have caused that, and he stated that sometimes they rust through or over time, just wear out. However, when he submitted the request to the warranty company, he indicated that the damage was NOT due to wear and tear. As a result, the repair was declined by the warranty company. Logically, if the damage was NOT due to wear and tear, and he was the only person to have inspected the unit in the last year, then who/what could have caused the damage? Rhetorical question! There is no doubt in my mind that he caused the damage during the previous repair and was trying to deny responsibility. At that time, he turned power off to the unit, leaving my family without A/C for over 2 weeks in the middle of the Arizona summer. During that time, I contacted the office numerous times (they do not like to return calls), and only after 2 weeks, was told that the warranty company denied my claim. I then requested a second opinion from a more reputable company who was able to fix the damage that Iceman Cooling caused. This company is horrible, unresponsive, and absolutely apathetic to you as a consumer. And to add to all of this, less than a month later, I am now having the same problem that Iceman Cooling is claiming to have repaired. If your warranty company assigns this company to repair your A/C, call the warranty company immediately to request a company that knows what they are doing. With the written statement of qualified professionals, and the out of pocket amount made towards the repairs, I will be suing this sad excuse of a company. Consumer beware!!!

I was honestly nervous about how my experience would be since I had seen some negative reviews from other home warranty customers, but everything went well! Iceman was communicative throughout the whole process and they honestly answered my questions better and faster than what the representatives at AHS could. My warranty ended up covering the part and I was responsible for the crane and refrigerant. I did feel that the crane and refrigerant were pricey, but I understand that its a business. If it got covered thats of been great but if not I didnt care because I needed that air back on.Their technician Chris came a few hours after the 8am to 12pm time slot. He did give me a call around noon to let me know he was running late though. Great customer service and got everything up and running no problem.Ill definitely be using them again. Only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because I have a feeling they were over booking their technician. He called multiple times to let me know where he was time wise though and I really appreciated that.FYI the R 22 was running about 70.00 per pound with the warranty (which after researching is reasonable at current industry prices). They were also honest in letting me know the levels were only low and not empty.

What a bunch of crooks. They said I needed a compressor which would of been covered by the Home Warranty. But then I would need to buy freon which would cost $1500..... anyways I got a second opinion from another company and they said the compressor was fine and just needed to be repaired which only cost $150. I wonder how many people this company rips off a year making them buy things that are unnecessary. I also called the office to cancel the installation of the new compressor that I didn’t need and she gave me an attitude. Bottom line people if you get service from Iceman Cooling and Heating be sure to get a second opinion on company you fully trust because it seems like they are scamming people and making them spend unnecessary money.

We were going through the process of selling our home and our AC unit needed to be checked out. Troy came through and cleaned our coils, fixed a few leaks and verified that the splits were within the requirements. Troy confirmed this in writing and pictures (which I thought was above and beyond). A few weeks later another inspector was showing that the splits were NOT within the required variance. Troy came out the next day Troy met with my realtor and wrote down that everything was working great and the splits were perfect. Once last time the inspector from Tuscany Home Inspections (dont ever use) showed that the splits were not in the required fields. Troy came out a 3rd time, showing photos of the splits and leaving written proof that the AC unit was well within the requirements. Troy was professional, personable and I would recommend Iceman Heating & Cooling for any job. Lisa was great on the phone and they fixed our AC and went above and beyond.

I placed a warranty claim which has a 75 dollar copay for a property where I have a tenant. Iceman cooling and heating was the contractor assigned. Upon showing up at the appointment, they claim that the tenant wasnt there which the tenant completely disputes. But regardless, I call to have them go back and they want to charge 79 dollars for a revisit. Mind you, a new service claim is 75 dollars. Here are the reasons that made me really upset with this companys poor judgement and service:1- I talked to the company myself prior to the appointment with the tenant about the service request. I understand that the tenant might have not heard the door ring, or whatever, but does it take a genius to try and think about calling me about that issue? I would have come and gave you access myself. Come on, youre charging 79 dollars for the 30 minutes your technician has wasted, I believe at a rate of 160 dollars an hour your technician can think of that solution prior to leaving.2- Lets assume the tenant really was negligent and left. Why is your penalty so high? A new warranty claim to send someone new is 75 dollars, which I have placed with a new company. Why would you charge 79? I would understand that you would punish us with a 20-30 dollars penalty. but 79? are you really paying your technician close to 160 dollars an hour?3- If you are paying them close to 160 an hour, would you be so kind to inform me how to apply for a job at your company? I would love to be a technician for you4- I truly believe no significant effort was placed to avoid that situation. Your company has an incentive not to find anyone home given that high cost you charge . It is a great advice of mine for anyone who gets your company on a warranty claim to immediately call for a different contractor. You will notice a difference day and night not only with the ridiculous charges, but also with the great customer experience you will notice as compared to Icemans.Sincerely,

We just moved into our home 3 months prior to calling our home warranty regarding the A/C not working. We contacted the home warranty company on a Saturday and they told us To contact iceman. I looked them up to see the reviews and noticed they had a few bad reviews, just about all from the home warranty clients so I was a little skeptical as I have never used a home warranty company or their preferred contractor. We called them Saturday and they returned our phone call Monday morning and let us know which days and times they had available. We chose the following day (Tuesday) for a 7:00am-12:00pm window. The office called when the tech was on route and our tech Justin arrived at 7:00 am. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable and got us up and running within an hour. Either way now I have to cancel and have no sleep before going to work... After expressing this was my concern from the first time I called in.In addition when I came here to rate this company I read the owners responses to the reviews. You should be ashamed that your bad mouthing a home warranty company that provides you business.... And regardless of where your customers come from they should be treated well. I was a normal customer who also has a home warranty that uses your companies services...matter of fact thats how I heard about you... They referred me to you! If I could give a zero I would!! So incredibly unhappy with the professionalism of the OWNER!! I had them come out and they told me my compressor was bad and the reverse valve was no good and wanted to charge 750.00 for coolant- not covered by warranty co.The gentleman was there for a while and checked everything including the attic to diagnose problem. 10 days later I had major water damage in the attic where the condensation pan was leaking after what looks like someone set something or leaned on it, my whole hallway flooded. Home owners insurance sent out companies to diagnose AC and damage, and they told and showed me the tools used to check and said my compressor and reverse valve were not bad! It is a set of coils that is rusted and has a pin leak. The tech said if anyone has been up there they would have seen how badly rusted the coils are. When I called and spoke to the owner of Iceman, he said we didnt go in your attic. Note the owner wasnt the one to come to my house nor had the tech who did right there to ask.. My husband was there at the time and seen the gentleman go in the attic. The owner ended up telling me its my word against his and HUNG UP ON ME!! It appears from looking here they have more than enough complaints. Ill follow through with this because to be hung up on is the highest level of respect. We had them out at our house to fix a swamp cooler the beginning of July. When the left the first time because they needed to order a part, they left the back of the swamp cooler in pieces in my backyard. We spent the next couple of months trying to get a hold of them to find out the status. They would only call us back each time after numerous voice mails to tell us they were still searching for the part Once we had approval from the home warranty to have it replaced, since a part could not be located, did they all the sudden come up with a part that they could use. They finally came out to fix the motor with a generic part. They lost the knob, the screws to hold the back on and the side pads were ruined because THEY left the back off for over 2 months. When I asked about them fixing the issue that they caused, the technician said he would have to check with the office but that they probably wouldnt cover those and that I could go buy the pads myself. And his fix for the knob was that we could just use pliers. After we didnt hear back from them, we called again to find out the status. My husband was called a liar on the phone because they said they didnt lose the knob, the we were the ones that lost it. They are supposed to be coming back out to the house next week to replace the know and side pads.

I never write reviews, but want to help anyone else I can. Wish I could give a zero. This company has a contract with American Home Shield, otherwise I would have never used them in the first place. They came out for the first visit in a timely manner, but then had to go through the home warranty and order a compressor and were not able to fix the AC for over a week. Really? I’ve replaced two AC’s and three heaters in my old home, and NEVER did it take more than 2-3 days tops. So we were over a week with 95-105 degree temps with no AC, but that’s not even the end of it.On top of that, they charge an obscene amount for Freon. While the home warranty covered the compressor, we had to pay for the Freon (which is the home warranty’s fault for not covering it, I know that) but we ended up paying over $600 for Freon. Additionally, their payment policies are extremely sketchy. They don’t take checks over $300 (why?) they charge 3% for credit transaction (which a lot of companies do, so fine) but they are happy to take cash, of course. So we stupidly paid cash. That same day things were not working and we called them within 2 hours after leaving. Were told the tech was on a 4-5 hour job. Asked if he could swing by after, since we paid cash in full and they didn’t complete the job. Nope. They would “try” to fit us in in the morning. Want to guess if we ever heard back? If I had paid with a credit card, I would have called my credit card company and withheld payment immediately.Meanwhile, while speaking to the office, the girl proceeds to tell us we have a complicated “zone” system, and it’s the hardest one to fix. And they only have 1-2 techs that service that system. As if that’s an acceptable excuse for why it wasn’t properly fixed? Why did they agree to fix it after the first diagnostic visit?? When asking to speak to a manager or the owner, she pretty much refused. She’s obviously the gatekeeper to a shady operation.Do not use this company. I would rather pay out of pocket than deal with these shady people anymore.UPDATE: edited to add that all experience with the techs have been good. Ben has been to my house twice, and Scott also. Both were knowledgeable and helpful. It’s not the techs I have an issue with, rather the way this business seems to be run.

We have owned a plumbing company for years and stopped doing home warranty work just because of the customers. I have read the reviews and see the same baseless complaints we used to get. #1 The home warranty orders parts for major repairs which takes what seems like forever at times. #2 in America a company has a right to make a profit. If you dont like the price just take your business elsewhere. Iceman was great to us and because we know to read our contract we were not surprised that we had to wait for a few days for compressor to come in. Also were not surprised by the $80 a lb for r22 freon. Great job start to finish. I recommend you run from home warranty customers, they want everything replaced for 1 service fee of $75 and if they dont get it well just look at your reviews. I see no complaints from regular retail customers just home warranty. Sorry iceman but just like we learned home warranty customers will destroy your business. We walked away and now magically we dont have the problems you are having. Good luck and God bless you. I must add that all of our customers were not bad we did make a lot of long time customers and friends from home warranty work. But when they are bad oh boy.

Horrible customer service. AHS sent this company out because our a.c. unit was making loud banging noises, but it was cooling. The technician indicated on the service ticket the coils were frozen over and he needed to return. In the meantime, he removed the circuit breaker, rendering the unit inoperable. That would have been OK had he showed up the next day to finish the job which he did not do! When we arrived home from work, the house was over 90 degrees. He didnt say anything on the ticket about removing the circuit breaker. Also, my husband found that he removed the screws from the air handler panel and just left them laying on the floor. He didnt show on Friday so with a weekend of over 110 degrees and an escape to a hotel, another company was sent by AHS the following Tuesday because Iceman still hadnt submitted their report. The second company was sent to assess the issue. He indicated there was a Freon leak but he was only there for assessment and AHS would need to send another company or original company (who again never followed up with us) to repair issue. When we contacted AHS, they indicated they finally received report from Iceman and tech said there was bird feces on unit which caused damage. RIGHT. So why didnt tech. 1. Tell our adult son that 2. Write it on the service ticket? I call B.S. I suspect he didnt want to go over his allotment for service call and didnt complete job and left us without air. The third tech who came out and asked who was the original company and stated it was his third job in as many days he had to clean up after Iceman So, AHS will receive a complaint, the ROC and the AZ Attorney General consumer complaints. A little honesty and integrity go along way Iceman and making up false statements after the fact (bird feces which the second and third companies obviously didnt agree with) will hopefully be a wake-up call that you need to improve, hire better employees or youre in the wrong business.

They came out, disassembled my unit, then said it wasnt covered and left. Leaving my unit disassembled. Repeated attempts to get them to return, AFTER American Home Shield recontacted that ir was covered, failed. After 10 days and demanding to speak with a owner, the conversation ended with dont call us again. Dont worry. I wont. And neither will anyone I now, and hopefully AHS cancells their contract with them.

The technician bent the compressor housing when opening the unit and left it open when he left. I know Im going to have to replace it,(not through these guys) but you shouldnt do a job half-assed like that. Sloppy work all around.

I really dont even want to give the 1 star!!! A tech came out today through our warranty company AHS to find out why our unit upstairs wasnt blowing out air and the temperature was going up while it was running. I have family members who have been in the Heating and Cooling business 15+ years and we already knew what was going on pretty much but we have a home warranty so we called to have the repairs done. Wasnt even here for more than 10 minutes, never went in our attic, check for a leak or if the coil had frozen up....went outside, checked a few things and told me I needed 3 lbs of freon and everything else was fine. Ummmmmm....why is it 3 lbs low and why havent you checked for a leak?? My brother came over, thank god, and the story then changed to Oh, the unit probably only needs maybe 1lb...but I quote high so.... I was going to be ripped off over 2 lbs!!! And what about the main reason I called for a tech to come out...its not working or blowing air upstairs???? Brother called to speak to Seth the owner and spoke to a woman who fed him the same crap and told us to ask for a second opinion. AHS was called and reported these people!! I cant believe how obvious it was I was going to be ripped off!!! DO NOT let these people come out, request a different company immediately! A woman alone during a call who doesnt know what to do would have gotten taken for....not me! Thanks to my brother and my gut feeling....I just saved myself money for a REAL fix, someone who will actually check the whole system...inside and out.

I have an a/c unit in a condo that is over 30 years old. I have AHS as my home warranty company that I have been dealing with for over 2 months for the same issue. Iceman is the 7th company that has been out to fix the unit. The other 6 companies said it was a Frankenstein unit and the leaking could not be fixed because there arent even parts for it any more. Iceman attempted to fix the leak and it did not work. I called them the next day and have still not had a return call to see what the next step is. It has now been 6 days. I have called them 3 times in the last 6 days, still nothing. It is literally raining inside the unit. It appears that they are afraid to tell the warranty company that it cannot be fixed. In the meantime, I have two 13 gallon trash cans and a 5 gallon bucket catching the water coming out of the air handler in the ceiling. Never mind that this is Phoenix Arizona where we have had over 30 days over 110 degrees in the last 45 days. Horrible follow-up and honesty to the warranty company to tell them that the unit is shot so that I can finally get this unit replaced. I would absolutely not recommend them.

The worst, I filed a claim through my company America home shield in regards to a problem with my AC !! This company called me and they scheduled an appointment to be there at my house !! The technician came to the house and called me ! I explained everything to him and told him about the problem ... and I mentioned who are living in the house are tenants and they don’t speak any English ...after an hour the tenants called me and told me that the technician left and the AC still hot !! I called Iceman Cooling And Heating Llc again and the lady told me that the issue is ( those people in the house don’t speak any English !!!!!!) I told her but I already explained everything to the technician so I don’t think he need to speak to them at all !! The lady told me yes but in this case you need to pay 75 $ for the new service !!!! She told me I’ll let you talk with my manger !! The manger came to the phone and he was RUDE !!! Extremely RUDE !!! I told him you need to better treat your customers !! He told me I don’t care !!! The worst company guys and I don’t recommend this company to any of you .. look for a better one to take care of your property not this one ...... I’m not wondering why this company has 2.6 .....!! Don’t use it and don’t ever think to use it ... bad and you will loss your money .

How are you available 24/7 with no emergency number. Even after leaving messages to have someone contact me about repairs that only last 12 hours before breaking again I still dont get a call back.
