This was my first time at Ava Nail Spa. The ambience is gorgeous. The entire space is decorated so beautifully. Unfortunately, my first experience here wasn’t so great, but the reason I gave this place 4 stars was because the owners made up for it. I should not have had to gone back twice.. that was a huge inconvenience. It should’ve been done right the first time.I walked into Ava Nail Spa since I was working in the area. The lady who did my nails was completely in a rush. Every time I would ask her to define the shape of my nail, she would get extremely irritated. She did a design on my nails that looks like a little kid drew it on. She is very sloppy, and was not nice. I was so sick of asking her to fix things because she wouldn’t do it right, so eventually left the salon extremely disappointed, thinking I would never return.I called Ava Nail Spa when I left and told them what happened. The owners went above and beyond for me. They were extremely professional and wanted to make sure I was happy with my service. They told me to come in whenever and they would fix it. I walked into the nail spa today and they took me right away. The owner did a lovely job. I am happy with my nails!The only negative thing I will say is that they should only have staff members that are very talented and customer friendly. The lady who did my nails at first is not qualified and she shouldn’t still be working there.The photos with the black design is the first nail tech who did my nails sloppy, and the second one is when the owner fixed my nails.I would recommend this nail salon, but make sure you have a qualified nail tech who is patient with you… or else walk out the door!

I went in for a manicure and pedicure. I have never had such a stressful time getting my nails done. Everything felt overly rushed. My big toe was filed so it looks crooked and I didnt notice until paying my bill. Also after telling the lady the milk was too hot she proceeded to pour directly on my legs, which was painful. Had a different person for the manicure whom I had to wait on her doing another employees nails. She did one hand alright then cut all my natural grown length off on my left hand which I did not ask for, also making the lengths different on each hand. The polish was applied quickly and unevenly which you can see with the matte top coat. I honestly could have done a better job. Very unimpressed since they had great reviews. Pretty unprofessional to have 2 employees getting their nails done when you have clients with appointment times sitting and waiting.

I honestly wanted to really love this salon because of its look and professional feel, but there’s no reason why my nails should be popping off or lifting every time I get a full set of fill within 2-3 weeks. I always get no-chip on my hands and this is my french after 2 weeks. The pedicures are always great, but again, nail polish chipping within the same week.I’m not sure if they use different products than most, but if i’m spending over $100 at your salon, I expect lasting results. Again, wanted to REALLY love this place but I just can’t anymore.

Tim has done my nails now twice and killed it both times! Last time I got the blue and today I got the black and white marble. These are my natural nails with dip powder and no chip. I’ve struggled in the past to find a nail tech that can kill it with my natural nails and I found him! Lily did my pedicure today and killed it as well. So relaxing. I drive 40 miles to come here because it’s worth it! 🥰

First time being here, and wow I’m so glad I chose Avas! All of the staff are extremely kind and very patient considering I had a two year old with me, they all were very professional and courteous! My nail tech was AMAZING! She did exactly what I asked for it and did them perfectly, everyone I spoke to and who greeted me were very friendly as well all in all it was a great experience definitely will be coming back here again. Thank you all so much for the hospitality! ❤️

If anyone is looking for a new nail salon AVA Nail Bar in Schaumburg is a MUST try! The salon is brand new, absolutely gorgeous, feels super luxurious and the nail techs are top notch. Tim has been doing my nails for over a year now and Ill never go anywhere else! Jimmy has also done my nails and is great as well. They offer upgraded pedicure experiences plus all the usual nail salon services. A MUST TRY!

I had an appointment with Tracy for my first appointment here. She was so friendly and did exactly what I asked for! I got a fill and wanted a flame design & she did an amazing job. It was very quick too, I will definitely be coming back and booking with Tracy again.

Julie did an amazing job on my nails. I like short and simple nails, no fancy designs and she made sure I was happy with my nails.The first time I came here a different lady didn’t do as well (didn’t do my nails how I wanted + charged me more) and I was debating coming back but I’m happy I did. Mark also did my moms nails and she loved her nails too. This will probably be our new place and honesty Julie did probably the best gel nails I’ve ever had. Would recommend

Zero stars if that was possible. My nails were very rushed. My cuticle was cut by the employee. The employee also put stickers on my nails which were not done correctly at all because they both peeled off and one was put on bent. Had to take the stickers off myself and now it looks horrible. A waste of $50. Will not be coming back.

The first time i went here, i had an appointment booked for the same time as my best friend so we could get our nails done together. unfortunately they didn’t have someone available for me at that time, only her so i ended up waiting nearly 45 minutes for service. once someone was available, he was extremely nice and efficient. the other times i’ve gone i was seated and treated on time or even before my appointment was scheduled. the store is extremely clean and everyone is very nice. the prices are totally worth the product. my full set was $65 and my fill in was $60 because i had to have a few fingers fixed. overall love ava nail bar and will continue to go there:)

This place is horrible and over priced and I am still waiting on my $50.00 refund? I took my two daughters here to get there nails & toes done and Ava nails charged (the total bill was $373.00). Yeah, you heard me right! Never have I ever experienced this type of Rip off no one could explain the bill to me?? I expect honesty and not thievery loyalty to your customers and not deception. The nails chip away and break off in a couple of days. The service was worthless and not worth paying.

Tim&Jimmy always make sure my nails look good......Tim came up with this design, I gave him no direction....I highly recommend coming here.

We used to go to Pink Nail on Meacham. Felt like a factory and we were pushed into being finished so the next client could be serviced. Felt like cattle. Not even going to go into the rudeness of the staff. So, we started going to AVA, been to this shop 3 times for a pedicure, and twice for a manicure. Very clean, professional but not so professional that the employees are rude or unfriendly. Walk in and greeted with a smile. Pedicure is a bit pricey, but lasts, well worth it. We will keep coming back.

I called today to see if they had time to fix my manicure from a previous salon . As soon as I got there they greeted me and knowledge me . I really like the Ambience of this place . Hoping to make it my “to go to “ after having friends rave about This place. . Unfortunately, it didn’t go as I hoped for . After they greeted me they found out that I had a previous manicure from another location I felt like I was being pawned off .communication is key and I def wouldn’t of mind making an appointment to have someone with more experience. If I were to be told to which that wasn’t the case . I didn’t mind waiting at this point since I’ve been waiting for 30 mins . The Tech was friendly, sweet and very kind . Her work was detail and she was precise but I left unsatisfied . I mentioned to her that she was being rough with the nail drill and she said it was necessary for the no chip removal. Ive had a ton of no chips and never felt like this . I walked out with divits on my nail beds and a air bubble on my thumb. Bummer for my first time experience. For that reason I’m leaving 3 stars

I’ve been here twice. The first time Grace did my nails, the second time, Tim did them and both times I was extremely pleased. Every employee in the shop has good energy and they give you exactly what you ask for. The pedicures are amazing as well. It’s an overall great nail salon!

I had a wonderful experience coming into Ava’s Nail Bar today! I went to the salon not knowing what to do with my nails and Tim really helped me! He recommended so many different things that I could do with my nails and at the end I came out with a beautiful set. Tim was super friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience. He really concentrated on my nails and took his time with them. I love them! I will definitely be back.

Honestly it was a beautiful salon super clean but for paying $74 for a pedicure I feel like it should have been a lot better

My appointment at AVA nail bar was the best ive ever had. Ive tried plenty of nail salons in my lifetime and by far AVA was the cleanest, nicest and most spot on with all of my inquires. The girls at the front desk are so nice, and the nail techs are extremely experienced and very kind. Ill be coming here from now on!! I love AVA nail bar, and ive been recommending it to all my friends! 11/10 review for me.

I got my nails done at a salon in south elgin a week ago & I left in tears from how horrible my nails turned out ... I figured I’d get them fixed and give Ava nails a try . The great experience started the moment I called to set the appointment! The gentlemen who answered was super sweet and was friendly from the start ( that grabbed my attention ). When I walked in that same gentlemen - curly hair - who I spoke with on the phone greeted me at the door and was very welcoming ! My nail tech was great and he gave me exactly what I wanted ! He took his time and it turned out better than I expected . Not to mention the decor was beautiful and I liked the music they had playing . 10/10 would recommend this place . Luckily for me i work down the street and will be returning . Thanks Ava nails for making my nails look amazing again.

Jimmy was awesome. Jimmy helped me turn IG look into something better. I love the way he added his own touch to it. I will recommend Jimmy. Also, Ava bar is very luxurious and worth every penny.

My favorite place to go get my nails done!! Its a new spot, but the set up is luxurious. All staff are wonderful to deal with and experienced. My nails always end up TOP NOTCH!! I love it here!! Did I mention that I always book with Tracy? I have been coming to her since Christmas time. She knows how I like my nails and she always over achieves!!

Terrible experience. Very unfriendly nail technicians and sloppy work. It seems like there is more paint on my skin rather than my nails. I could of done a better job painting my nails. Will not be back! Highly disappointed as I was hoping this could be my new go-to place! : (

Needed a new nail salon after moving and found this place on Instagram. I absolutely love the work they do. I have never gotten this many compliments on my nails. Make sure you ask for Tim - especially if you want great designs!

Ava is one of the best nail salons Ive ever been too. The staff is polite and accommodating. I personally always go to Jimmy, who is always able to do what I ask for and offer suggestions when Im not sure. I always get compliments on my nails and will always recommend Ava to anybody looking for a great nail salon!

He is very professional and since I first came to him he’s the only person I trust with my nails. The shape, long wear, and beautiful location! The salon was beautiful and I’m happy with the final result but the woman who did my nails was extremely rude. If I asked her a question she would completely ignore me. Overall it was a stressful experience.

Not worth your time. Not only did they over charge my credit card they do not know how to do a pedicure. I know it depends on the person who is doing it but they were unprofessional and not qualified to do any type of nails. They also over charged me and I disputed it.

Omg if i could give 100 stars i would. I love this place first off, absolutely stunning😍 you can tell all the hard work that went into this facility. Its coordinated so well down to the drawer pulls matching the signage. Then you get greeted by the friendliest people I absolutely adore Thao she is always on her A game and is so sweet. If she can get you in every time she will. Then theres Grace who is just superb! My nails always look like a million dollars and half the time I dont even know what I want, I give her a color pattern and she goes wild.

All of the staff are so sweet and they always do an amazing job! I recommend to make an appointment before going since they get busy pretty quickly. But again, amazing service and results!

This place is clean and has beautiful layout and decor. But disappointed that they don’t have the brand of nail polish that I prefer like OPI which is such a popular brand. I think their pedicures are over priced. Overall service was Good, took longer than expected. pedicure service was better than the no chip manicure service.

Tim and Stephanie always take great care of me. They’re great company and my nails ALWAYS look on point. I get compliments on them, always. If you’re into trendy nails, this is the place to go.

Honestly I was super excited to this place because I’ve seen all these amazing pictures of nails on their Instagram page. Place was nice and clean. My nails have already chipped and it’s only been a week. They did not know how to do a basic daisy on my nails a proceeded to tell me they did. The manager gave me back my $5 back so I guess that’s the only good part! I will not be coming back to this place.

Really disappointed in my appointment with Ava. i went in with no chip polish on my fingers. the nail technician applied soak off foils as normal places do but only left them for maybe 3 minutes. she kept pulling them off to check even though it was clear they were not ready. after scraping off polish that wasn’t ready to come off, she used the nail drill to remove the polish. it took 45 minutes just to remove and we hadn’t even started the manicure. once the polish was off, i decided to end the appointment and left. 3 weeks later, my nails have grown out enough to see that the nail tech not only took off the polish, but a top layer of my nail, too. the place had acrylic nail powder everywhere. you sit at a rectangular “bar” looking directly into the place where the techs sit. i will not be returning to this place.

It is not an issue with the service but an issue with the product they use. The clear top coat for no chip is garbage. It is not smooth but rather is uneven & not sure if it is how it was applied or changes when using the nail dryer . It makes me not want to go back. Just a heads up everyone. Now the manager wants to make it right. This happened twice once when Grace did my no chip manicure & the most recent when the manager, Jimmy, did my nails. There should have been no issue the 1st time.

This place is JUST okay. Barely had any color selections. got my nails done here for vacation and my nails chipped literally the next day. And I was already in Jamaica so I couldnt get it fixed 😫 definitely not worth the price I paid. Also 2 weeks later my nails are lifting underneath. This set didn’t last me long at all. There are places way better and cheaper honestly.

First off, I could not believe how dirty this place was for being open only 1 week. Second, they have no basic pedicure option only “specialty” which will cost you minimum $39 which to me there was nothing special about the pedicure, maybe the floating limes in the water? But the massage was below average, and all bonus options that came with the massage were your basic lotion etc. My no chip manicure was extremely fast, and done so poorly. My cuticles look terrible, there was paint left around my nails, and I had to ask a tech to trim the extra top coat that hardened around my nails, to which he did one nail and was satisfied. To me this place was extremely over priced for sub par service, don’t waste your time or money!

I would not recommend. I made an appointment for a regular manicure, when i arrived they provided a book of colors, I noticed on the front it mentioned gel colors so I approached someone there and advised them i was just doing a regular manicure is that the correct color book for me and they said yes. I proceeded to get a manicure and when i was finished they advised me i had a no chip manicure ( i wouldnt know as i havent had one before, i just thought they did things differently here as it was my first visit) They charged me for a no chip even though it wasnt what i wanted and now im stuck with this on my nails or i will have to weaken them to remove it. anyway i wont be back.

5 star for sure! If I could give more I would! Jimmy and Tracy are amazing they will always have you leaving you with a smile on your face! Highly recommend this nail salon!

I cannot say enough great things about this nail bar, the building itself is beautiful and clean and every single nail artist is so kind, welcoming and extremely talented at what they do. I went in with some pretty gnarly diy polygel nails and they were so nice about it and took off the nails no problem and did the most beautiful acrylic set! While Grace worked with me today, I would feel 100% comfortable with anyone there, because they’re all amazing. 11/10 recommend AVA Nail Bar and I cannot wait to go back!

Wanted to like this place, but I found it expensive and Ive gotten better pedicures. Also the music was way too loud. I think it might just serve a younger crowd, Im just not going to be a regular customer.

(I had an appt) my dip started lifting 1 week later and tbh it looks like a 10 year old did my nails and as for the toes color change wth did the receptionist do mine... so very unprofessional and unorganized! I want to start by saying that I have been to this nail bar twice, both times I have made an appointment, I have never seen bad customer service nor have I experienced it, they always exceed my expectations, personally I will continue to go there; Tracy always works her magic.

There was nothing luxurious about the experience at AVA Nail Bar; if youre looking to treat yourself, this is not the place. Firstly, the high chairs youre seated in are just far enough away from the manicurists table to where youre hunched over for the entire service. And, never have I been to a nail salon where they dont soak your hands, clean-up your cuticles, nor massage your hands with lotion. I came in for my first-ever dip manicure; I sat down in the chair, the girl whipped out the sanding tool - which did nothing but rough up my nails - and went to work with dipping. I was out in 20 minutes, shocked at the lack of care taken to my nails/cuticles. Unfortunately, I didnt get the manicurists name, but she looked as though she wanted to be anywhere but there. With the lack of soaking/lotion/massaging of my hands, I walked out of there with dry finger tips from the acetone used to remove the nail polish I came in with. $40 not well spent.
