I wish I had the option to give no stars. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had. I paid the owner, In full, and my car wasn’t completed for 5 years. And once it was completed, I was notified. Upon picking the car back up, 5 years later, certain parts that I paid for were not installed on the car. And upon inspection the car was not completely finished either. The most unprofessional people I’ve ever had the displeasure of doing business with. After I showed receipts for the parts that were not installed, I was told that I didn’t pay for said parts. Which was not true. Also I was told that if I didn’t take the car right away that I would be charged a storage fee. 5 years and $19,000 later, the work I paid for wasn’t complete, and the car barely made it down the street before breaking down. All the alleged work that legend did, I’ve had to have redone and replaced most of their work. I would not recommend this joke of a business to an enemy. I feel sorry for anyone who gets tricked into spending money with these con artists. And I say con artist becasue they will take your money and make promises that they cannot keep. They will tell you, that they can take on any build and take your money for it. And then when it is time to deliver they will make excuse after excuse. They take advantage of people who are not as familiar as they are with engine building. They feel they can get away with it, because nobody has held them accountable. But I plan on changing that, since I’ve had to hire a lawyer and plan on taking them to court, in order to recoup some of the lost money. So to anyone reading this, if you were thinking of taking your car to Doug Roden, the owner of legend racing, DO NOT. I guarantee you will regret it. And if you’re In the unfortunate situation of already having your car there being worked on, I recommend you do not give these thief’s another penny, cut your loses and run. Run very fast or you will definitely regret it!!! My name is John Abel and this is a true story

Legend Racing is my go to speed shop, weather it is for parts or labor and machine work. Their work is top notch quality and they have a wealth of useful knowledge. I would recommend them to all of my friends, I cant say enough good stuff about them. Thanks Doug and Steve!

Shop has very knowledgeable people, I will respect that aspect. My problem was lack of detail dedicated to my project. Some mistakes that were made could have easily been avoided and I wont name them all (various loose bolts, timing not set correctly). They did correct them as I discovered them, but how much inspiration is needed to double check an entire project before returning a vehicle to a cash paying customer???
