A few years back I had major issues with my extremely old AC unit never being strong enough to keep up with the heat. We had days where it was 90 degrees and up inside my condo. After finally having enough, I called out Residential Heating & Cooling and the owner himself showed up. He did a ton of diagnostics and gave me a lot of good info. With the massive age of the furnace and AC, I decided it was time to replace it, get a nice warranty, and stop living in the heat. A few guys came out and took care of it in a day, and my life was changed. They perfectly sized my AC, no more issues with keeping up with the heat, no more living in sweat. I havent had a single issue since.However, just yesterday, I noticed that my AC unit wasnt making its usual running sounds, and it was starting to slowly heat up in my unit. Remembering my past experience and the information the Owner and his technicians gave me, I knew to immediately shut off the AC. I then sent an email at 10pm asking if they would be able to get someone out to check it out in the near future. Amazingly, I got a response at 6:30am in the morning, and they had Ben out around 10am the next day. This was a lifesaver, as I wasnt looking forward to the upper 80s, low 90s weekend that was predicted. He diagnosed and solved the issue extremely quickly, and everything was covered by my warranty.Time and time again, Residential impresses me with their efficiency, promptness, knowledge, and overall great attitudes. I recommend this company to all my friends who live in the area when they have HVAC issues, and will continue to do so. During our recent a/c replacement, the technician Ben Clifford was very knowledgable and courteous to explain the details of the issue and gave us the best options for the resolution. Everything went smoothly from Kendall in the office scheduling me and Ben the technician fixing my AC. I was riding low on freon and Ben added some additional freon and spent extra time to fix it. The service was quick, responsive, and quality!I was having trouble getting my usual heating and cooling company to come out for a simple tune-up (ARS Rescue Rooter cancelled and delayed for months). I called Residential, and they had a tech at my door within two hours!The cost for the tune-up was more than I usually pay, but the service was MUCH better. Worth it!

What a fantastic experience. On Christmas Eve 2020 my heat was not working. Kendall asked me if she could bring me a space heater, until Matt could show up. Talk about above and beyond customer service. Thank you Kendall. They were going to come out and fix it that day. I decided to wait until after Christmas with family coming and it wasnt that cold out. I called them after Christmas, and Kendall was able to get me in that day as well. Matt came out and was very professional and very pleasant and was in and out quickly and I had heat again. After about 2 hours, the thermostat still would not go above 68 degrees. Kendall said she would have Matt come back out. Matt came out and replaced the thermostat the same day. Then a week ago, my thermostat was dropping again. Kendall set sent Alex out the same day. Kendall said she had to check with Eric on a few things and would call me back. We found out that it was being hooked up to our humidifier that hasnt worked in 30 years. Alex bypassed it. Alex was very professional and very pleasant. They believe in give the best quality of service. Professional company, highly recommend, especially for Bryant systems.My one-year-old Bryant A/C was blowing warm air back in May. I had just bought my house (as is) and could not track down who installed it. I contacted Residential. Eric was very open about how limited my options were, but he offered to fix the A/C for free when I agreed to use Residential to replace my 25-year-old furnace. Mike, the tech, got the parts under warranty and fixed the A/C for free. I paid a third down on the furnace when the A/C was fixed, then paid the rest when Mike came back in the fall and put in the furnace. Both Eric and Mike were very professional and friendly. I used Residential Heating & Cooling to remove an older natural gas ceiling-mounted garage heater and replace it with a new unit. The replacement unit they suggested was better suited for my size garage, and the installation was done very professionally and I could not be happier. Kendall called me the day of installation, and she kept me apprised of any changes in timing, so I could better plan my day. The techs, Mike and Alex, handled the installation promptly and cleaned up after. The owner of the company personally came over to work on our AC when the original repairman was running behind at another job. He was extremely courteous, professional, and helpful.

During the coldest time of year my furnace decided to quit working. I Googled Residential Heating & Cooling, called the office phone and Eric was at my house within 2 hours. It was unfortunate that my furnace was not worth the repair but Eric gave my a few excellent alternatives to replace instead of repair. Also, since this all happened over the weekend, Eric was kind enough to drop off multiple space heaters to get us through till Monday. Come Monday morning, the installers were here by 8AM to install the new furnace. I cant say how amazing the whole process has been. Installers, Jason and Brett, were efficient, fast and area was cleaner than when arrived. Jason identified worn gas and electric connections and replaced without adding to quoted install cost. I am so so happy with this company. I had a competitor come to my house six times to take a look at this air conditioning unit. They were terrible and could not help me I was beyond myself so I got in touch with residential heating. They were so kind they came out right away. Eric the owner came to my house to help me. He also sent out Mike his tech. He is a A+ technician. He did not quit until he found what the problem was. Thats how great he is to me.He was professional answered all my questions and did not give up. Now my problem has been solved.They were so kind to me to the point where in order for me to feel comfortable they brought in a portable AC so that I wouldnt suffer overnight by the time that they had to come the next day. Beyond happy with the service I received! My A/C went out the day before a family party. I spoke with the owner of the business who was extremely professional and had a technician, Matt, out within 30 minutes of my call. Matt spent hours trying to get the A/C unit to work, but ultimately found it needed to be replaced. Matt brought me to the unit and took the time to show me the issue and explain his determination for the unit needing to be replaced. Matt even brought a portable A/C unit that the owner of the company allowed us to use until the unit could be replaced the following day. Matt returned with another technician (who was just as professional and personable) to replace the unit. They were very respectful of our home and completed the job in a timely manner. Over all, everyone I interacted with from Residential Heating and Cooling was very friendly, professional, and intent on delivering quality customer service. Had a very complicated situation where I had an oversized furnace improperly installed by an inexperienced and in hindsight unqualified company.  While initially I called Residential to upgrade the outdated thermostat and to fix sloppy plenum work the other company had done, Residential came in and found several glaring safety defects in the installation.   Rather than put a band aid on it and move on to the next job, Residential recommended I rip out the shoddy furnace and start fresh rather than risk a Carbon Monoxide leak or further problems.  While it was kind of a shock to have to start over, I can’t begin to thank them enough for catching these issues in the fall before it became a huge issue later on.  Eric was very patient in explaining the whole picture to me and helping me explore my options.  We ended up with a very fair deal that resolved my issue quickly and kept my family safe.  His team (Mike and Matt) definitely looks out for his customers safety and not just the bottom line.  On the administrative side, Kendall was awesome in making sure all the documentation was in order and arranging scheduling.  I would go back in a heartbeat.

After an unexpected A/C breakdown on a holiday weekend, I did an extensive search for a company to replace. Not just any company but one with a reputation for timelines, quality In work and people just to name a few characteristics. I chose Residential for being all those and more. Some may feel pricing is not at the lower end..however I knew that based on research before I made my selection. Installation has been completed and the service experience from beginning to end was worth it.I will continue with them as my ongoing preferred small Business service provider.

Very professional and courteous company. VERY fast response time as well. They were onsite in less than 3 hours in the middle of their busy season. They quickly diagnosed the issue and had the parts on hand to repair the problem. The technician (Brett) took the time to explain the problem in a way any homeowner can understand.

I pick RH&C last winter as my primary HVAC service based on ratings and they did good job on furnace during extreme cold days but today I had a problem with basic AC fix for capacitor which takes 15 min to replace and I got so disapointed coz simple brand new capacitor is average around $10-$14 bucks but they charged $184.00 for it!!! I would understand 100% profit but $184.00+service call $98.00 is way over 100% profit!!! The tecs are good ppl. but they have nothing to do with running this company and thats why I see this as a rip off!!!

Where do I start? My mom who is a senior lives in Schaumburg and her furnace broke down over the weekend. Technician, Matt, did not want to see her without heat and came back on Sunday and installed a brand new furnace! The following day, we were having some issues with the thermostat and Eric (owner) responded immediately, coming over on a Monday evening to get it all straightened out! This was a terrific experience.The furnace stopped working at our sons townhome while we have been renovating. I called and spoke with the owners wife who was so pleasant and concerned. We had an electrician working at the property at the same time so Eric couldnt come until he was finished installing a new electric panel. They were so very accommodating and worked around our crazy schedule. We received emails and text messages informing us when Eric would arrive, and when he did he couldnt have been any nicer. Such a wonderful find. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem got the furnace running. He needed to come back the next day, and arrived at the time he promised. Even the technician that came the next day was terrific. Pricing was reasonable and they worked quickly-- and we have heat! I will recommend this company to everyone!

Great service and great team! Send an email with an emergency heating issue and within 20 minutes I had an appointment set up for the same day. Kendall and Brett were responsive and very helpful. My issue was fixed in less than 15 minutes. Definitely recommend.

Residential’s installers, Scott and Mike, did a great job on our new furnace and A/C unit. They were personable, knowledgeable and professional. I was looking for a company to fix my water heater due to a gas leak. When I spoke with Kendall, she was very nice and professional. She knew exactly what are the procedures and advise me to contact Nicor so they could find a leak for free. Within an 1HR I had a Nicor technician at my house who isolated the leak to a faulty brass gasket. I called Kendall again with the Nicor report and she was able to handle everything thru the email super fast. In few hr I already had one of their technician dispatched to my house. When Matt came over he was very friendly and professional. He was able to fix everything on time and knew exactly what he was doing. Later that evening I had Nicor back again to inspect and turn on the gas. Thanks to Residential Heating & Cooling and had everything diagnosed and fix the same day for very reasonable price. Will definitely use them again for any HVAC needs.

Eric, Kendall and team are truly amazing! I cant even count how many times they have saved me during emergencies. They bend over backwards to make sure the heat or AC is back on. I just hate sweating!! Lol. Would not hesitate to give them a call if you need high quality professional heating/AC services!

My heat went out and I noticed the neighbors had an HVAC company over. I asked the neighbor if they could send someone over. Eric came over within 10 minutes, told me what was wrong, and coordinated to have it fixed within a few days. He probably would have had it done quicker but it wasnt an emergency cause the temp picked up for a few days and I didnt need heat. After that we decided to replace the whole thing since my unit was from the 80s. Mike was my installer and he was polite, clean, and very informative. He was able to explain everything to me in a way that made sense. Great service all around and quality work.

Residential heating and cooling installed my new furnace and AC unit along with my air purifier and I’m very pleased with the results. I suffer from seasonal allergies and asthma and I immediately saw a difference. The air purifier help relieve my allergy symptoms (constant sneezing, Sinus infection, wheezing, trouble breathing) and it was worth the money. The technicians did a great job installing the equipment and were very friendly and professional! I highly recommend!

My 20 yo air conditioner finally died. Erich was able to come out that night and assess the problem. In the end, the unit was done and it was time for a new one. He was helpful on walking me through all the options I had for repairs or buying new. It made sense to invest in the new unit. Two of his employees were responsible for the installation and they we both friendly and courteous. They were clean, quick, and informative walking me through their work when complete. These large purchases are always the scariest when owning a home and they made it comfortable and reassuring that I recieved a quality experience.

Eric and Mike were outstanding with installing my furnace. It was -7 and my furnace went out on a Friday afternoon. They installed a new unit the same day. Very professional service and fair prices. Mike did and outstanding job on the install and stayed until 9:30pm to make sure my house had heat. Thank you guys!

Residential Heating and Cooling offers fantastic service. Our air conditioner broke on the 4th of July with heat indices well over 90 degrees. After calling a place we had used before and getting no response, I called Residential Heating and Cooling based on the reviews I saw on Google.Eric the owner came over himself and was able to fix our problem in a very short amount of time. He was prompt, courteous and willing to give up part of his holiday to help us out. We will be calling him in the fall to tune up our furnace so well be ready for winter.

After a quick diagnosis, he presented our options and we decided to have the unit replaced (it was 20 years old). The next day, the unit was installed. They were quick, efficient, and accommodating. Compliments to Eric and his team for completing our full furnace/AC replacement job. Due to a poorly wired AC unit from the factory, it took 4 long appointments to complete the job to our satisfaction, so I feel I must deduct a star. The team was tenacious, didnt ask for final payment until we were satisfied, and throughout the job left us comfortable with nominally working AC. Everyone we worked with is knowledgeable, friendly, punctual, and clean.

Jason and Eric are great! With our past repairs, they have been so flexible with our crazy schedules and they dont mind my barking dogs! I like how they always clean everything up and always wear their protective shoe coverings when they come inside (even though we have a lot of kids and pets and are definitely not afraid of dirt). Yesterday they worked ALL DAY in the awful humidity and heat to get our new system installed and operating. So thankful that they are so caring and I will recommend them to everyone I know!

When my heat went out on Christmas Day I called residential heating and cooling and they were able to get it up and running in little time. When I spoke to their office manager Kendall, she had educated me on a plan they offer with different perks. She was professional and she broke down the different options of the plan to me so I could make the right choice for me and my needs. I am so thankful I bought the plan because today at my maintenance checkup included in the plan, Ben diagnosed a problem, explained it to me in a way I could understand and was super knowledgeable. When I said ok I’ll call to schedule it he said he could take care of it right away! He had all the supplies with him. He was well prepared, professional and provided me with options. I even got a lower price for the service, and the check up was FREE because of the plan I bought. It’s already paid for itself! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!

Eric, Steve and Rick were great. They were able to diagnose my furnace issue and install a new furnace immediately. I went from having a cold house and no furnace to warm house and brand new furnace in a day and a half. They were able to accommodate me in the middle of December when it is freezing cold outside. Our air conditioner stopped working on Sunday night over this past Memorial Day weekend. We read a lot of reviews for different companies, but Residential Heating & Cooling had so many positive reviews we thought we would take a chance on them. They returned our call quickly and Jason was at our house the next day! He was extremely knowledgeable and personable! It was a lot of work to get our old machine working, especially in the blazing heat, but he got it running (and he never complained)! We thought their rates were very fare and their memberships make it an even better value. Everyone we dealt with at this company was excellent and caring.
