My issues were not with the gym itself but the PT ELEMENT which work inside the gym. I had to leave for a family crisis and move to Michigan these crooks charged me120.00 for a month I wasnt in town for and then wanted another 192.00 keep in mind this is on top of the 270 they got in the beginning of the contract these people are crooks!! My advice stay clear of the Personal training the PT staff was super nice it was the corporate offices that are vultures.

I really wanted to join the gym because they have pretty decent equipment but its super dusty in there, not the cleanest facility.

I loved going to Zoo when I lived in Savannah! Great equipment, friendly staff, and a positive and safe environment to work out in. I was extremely nervous to restart my gym journey after avoiding the gym before and during COVID-19... Zoo really helped me spark that joy back into my life. I took advantage of the personal training once a week while also working out on my own. I lost 30 pounds from September to May while still being able to lift heavy. If I ever had a question or just wanted to talk to the staff they were always so friendly and helpful. By far the best gym in Savannah, especially for the price. I suggest this gym to anyone in the area, experienced or new!

Been a member for just over a year. I really appreciate a locally owned gym...The owners are engaged and helpful..... I turned 65 a few months back. They instructed me that I might want to join Silver Sneakers a program thru Medicare....Great suggestion on their part

After leaving the other gym because of their mask policy i found this GREAT GYM. This place is really nice and has real equipment. (squat racks, bumper plates, competition bench press, and 3 deadlift platforms. Wow. They also have a gym dog.

Gym so good my wife got carried away and strained her neck. 10/10 would recommend. Would definitely become a member if we lived in the area.Also please, for the love of God, foam roll and get a lacrosse ball to avoid some muscle strains in your lifting journey.

I have been a member of the Zoo for over 2 years, its the best gym in the Savanah area. It is very clean and modern, staff is friendly and professional, and the 24 hour access works perfectly. The equipment is well-maintained and promptly fixed. The owners always do an excellent job.

The gym itself is very well maintained. The staff is friendly. Constantly new equipment coming in.Now for the cons :The campers. The gym has posted signs throughout but rarely enforced. Ive personally been lifting at the gym for an * hour plus *, and folks still on the sole cable machine(s) and squat racks. Some often patrons will do one set then roam around the gym - talking to others - and not clear the rack. Very frustrating.The air runners constantly do not have new batteries along with the rowers.

Great place and friendly staff. An updated exercise equipments. Provide self cleaning bottled solution and tear off brown paper towels to sanitize the equipment when youre done using it. 👍

My boyfriend and I walked into the zoo this morning (we are members in a different city) and the owner was at the front desk and registered us for no charge! He was super friendly and accommodating and the gym is beautiful! All the staff was super nice and helpful, and the owner takes his dog to work and she is so beautiful and friendly I got to play with her briefly! The gym itself is very clean and nicely laid out with everything you could possibly need including bands. Highly highly recommend to anyone visiting or if you live here join! I wish we had a gym this nice where we live! Thanks so much to the staff for being so kind to us!

In my experience this is the best gym in the city, its clean and the equipment is well maintained. The size of the gym is also nice, as it never really feels like you and the guy beside you are competing for space. If you live in Savannah, and are looking for a place to workout I recommend it, or if youre just here for a short time and need to get a quick set in go pick up a day pass.

Prices are reasonable for the services offered... Our experience has been great thus far... We look forward to continuing our membership with Zoo.

The owners truly care for the members and facility. They are 100% involved and are there everyday. Equipment is high quality and they continue to purchase new equipment. Cleanliness is paramount here and never a shortage of cleaning supplies. The Zoo is a great gym. So if youre passing through or live in the area, definitely check them out.

This is the best gym in Savannah! It is a very clean gym and they have great workout equipment. The owners have helped me and my husband out whenever we’ve needed it (I was in a car accident and was in the hospital for a couple months and they let my husband put a hold on my account until I was cleared to come in again). These people continued to charge me while the gym was closed due to covid 19 and during my deployment to Afghanistan after providing military orders. Had to dispute with my bank and go to better business bureau. TERRIBLE experience....OWNER RESPONSE: Hello Austin. As we explained, any time we were closed would be prepaid for your last month. As for your deployment, we are not psychic. You just let us know a week ago and expect us to back date a refund. If you had told us right away, we would have taken care of it right away. It’s a big boy lesson.Update: been over a month now, the gym has military orders and has yet to provide a refund for time spent in Afghanistan. But wanted to thank this business for teaching me a ‘big boy lesson’ from overseas. Class act.

Im not going to just let people who arent even members dog my gym. The Zoo Health Club is by far among the best gyms in Savannah. Some of us dont fit at other spots catering to those beginning their fitness journey. The Zoo is for the serious ones that dont need a treat for showing up. There are classes, amazing machines, and a heavy bag🤩 You need a hug and someone to hold your hand during your workout, go somewhere else. If youre ready to challenge your body and find new limits come to The Zoo.

The owners of this gym are unprofessional and rude. I called during March to ask if I could get my membership frozen due to the pandemic and that all nonessential businesses would be closing their doors. The owner answered with immediate hostility and explained that his whole staff is still working and that they are cleaning the equipment nonstop and that if he were to freeze every membership they would not survive. I asked if they weren’t planning on closing, if they were at least observing the guidelines of having less than 50 people in the building, and he responded negatively to that saying they never had that many people anyway. To me that was a “no.” That very same night, the mayor of Savannah stayed that gyms would be the next places of business to close their doors, effective the next day at 5pm. And I heard absolutely nothing before or after that from the gym concerning this or how they would be compensating their clients who are still paying members. I called the credit card processing company to cancel my membership. After paying the final month’s fee (April) along with the $99 termination fee, I thought I was rid of this gym. Come to find out they continued to charge me in May for the monthly membership fee.These people are rude and selfish and I suggest you give your money elsewhere. The gym is not even worth the price you do pay.

Best gym in Savannah hands down. I’ve been a member of most of the gyms in town over the years and this has by far been the best atmosphere conducive for lifting and exercise. The gym is motivating, has excellent staff, equipment, and the owners are great people who care about their business and customers. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new gym home.

Janson and I have been going to the Zoo regularly since November of last year and we absolutely love it. It’s never “over crowded”, yes there are busier hours but the space they have allows for this and accommodates everyone. The staff is the best and supports all military and first responders! Even all the members are really nice and help each other out. The Zoo is a community really, not just a gym. 5/5 highly recommend

I just had my first workout there today! I love it! Its intense without being intimidating and its definitely a place where you can concentrate on your fitness! I was so impressed the day I walked in to sign up, I got my friend to sign up as well! Now we both can work on fitness in a great place!! I recommend this gym, its definitely worth the money!!!!

My wife and I have been visiting Savannah for a month and got a short term membership here. The gym was perfect for us. All the equipment one might want from a good gym, excellent layout with ample space, and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Great place. Wed highly recommend it to anyone.

Great gym. Equipment is great and place is well kept. My issue is management. Keep in mind I joined this gym very near opening. I signed a 1 year contract and was never told that once the year is up, the Zoo automatically re-signs you on a monthly basis and continues to charge you. Who does that?? Crooks. I found this out because my zip code changed because I moved 30 minutes away from the gym. The automatic draft from my account stopped happening. Turns out, the Zoo Gym Savannah will allow your bill to be ran up 3 months and 10 late fees later...I finally figure it out because paramount collections is calling me instead of the actual gym manager. Does that seem like a manager who manages the membership of his members? That answer is no. Courtesy call maybe? I called two different Zoo Gym Savannah employees and all they could say was Uhhh..call paramount, we cant do anything. Keep calling back until Ron is here. So, just a heads up if you plan on signing here. I never once missed a payment. Read every word of that contract and dont get finessed. They only give a damn until you sign that contract lol.

I want to start by saying, I rarely take the time to do reviews. After my experience with The Zoo Health Club, I felt it was my duty to share my experience. My family and I had the pleasure of visiting Savannah last week. The house we stayed in came with access to The Zoo Health Club while we were there. My husband and I decided to check it out. Let me say it was a wonderful experience. We have frequented many gyms while we are traveling. The Zoo Health Club has by far been the best one so far. It was exceptionally clean and Covid-19 compliant. Our temps were checked upon entering and we were given our own personal sanitizer bottles. Being in healthcare for many years, I cannot begin to express what a big deal that was for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a great workout with updated equipment, I highly recommend that you check out The Zoo Health Club.

The Zoo was there for my fiancé and I for the last month and we could not be more grateful for how welcoming the Owner Ron AND all the members were to us. With both of us prepping, and no clear sign on when our own local gyms would reopen, we were able to continue our preps and now, that our gyms have reopened, I still plan on supporting and training at the zoo for the ENVIRONMENT, the MEMBERS, but above all the OWNER and how much he cares for the safety of everyone who walks into his gym. Decided to switch my gym membership to The Zoo after my husband had not stopped raving about this gym for a couple months-I can say one thing- BEST DECISION EVER. The community is great along with all the staff and they truly care about their members. I am pleased with the range of free weights and machines and haven’t had a bad day there yet. Best gym in the whole area (including hinesville)! No one can even compete with them. Everything is clean and up to date. The machines where well chosen too if I compare them to other gyms. This gym really cares about you and your workout! The staff is great and very friendly too. They always helped me with everything and made nothing an issue even when I had to cancel because of moving. I still stop by when I’m in town because I love the whole vibe this gym has. The people that workout here are really friendly and help keep the gym a clean environment. Definitely worth its membership.

I have only been in Savannah a short while and have been looking for a home gym. I visited several boutique gyms and went to the big box gym for a while. I finally found the right place for me, The Zoo! It has everything the boutiques have at a more affordable membership rate. It is clean, open 24/7, staff is always friendly & knowledgeable. They offer personal training for an additional fee. The trainers really work with your individual goals AND particiapte in continuing education. Which means, they are always up to date on the newest Science. As a woman, I feel safe there. My favorite part is the Fitness Room. It is the largest one in town. To top that, they have ON DEMAMD Les Milles classes. If you miss an in person class you can come whenever you want & do a class on your own. This is a Locally Owned Franchise, supporting this gym means you are putting money back into our local economy. I cant say enough, this place is the best!

Rom and Holly are the best! Anything you need, just ask. If they dont have something you want to work out with theyll find a way to get it for you. They really go above and beyond for their clients. They stayed open during Hurricane Dorian and even slept there to make sure everything stayed safe during the storm. Thats dedication!

Great equipment. Overcrowded right now because of COVID.The men’s locker room needs some work. Paper towels to dry your hands and towels after a shower or just in general to use while there and return before leaving.Other than that this place is the spot.

Hands Down the BEST GYM in the SAV.

I was a little nervous to start attending this gym because it does have a little bit of a corporate vibe compared to the gym I had been going to (as well as hearing some negative things about the gym/owner). After attending for a few weeks, my boyfriend and I got memberships and his best friend started his membership as well. My fears of this not feeling as personal or as family-like could not be further from the truth. The things I heard about this gym were also lies. This gym is run extraordinarily well, and the owners are clearly passionate about managing a place for everyone to feel welcome. They even stayed open during the hurricane, and opened their doors to members of gyms that were closed. They have great equipment that Ive never witnessed Out of Order, their bathroom stall doors shut (LOL), and the space is always very clean. Their members are passionate people as well, and theres a great community here. If youve heard good things about this place, theres a reason. And if youve heard not-so good things about it, theres a reason for that too...Remember, people only rain on your parade because they’re jealous of your sun and tired of their shade.” Very much so recommend!!

This gym offers everything I need, from machines to free weights, Im able to do everything I want here. Equipment is new and well maintained. Management/owners sre friendly, welcoming and always helpful! Plus, they offer tanning at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend.

Where to even start with how amazing this gym is? First off the front desk staff as well as the owner Ron are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. They are always smiling and laughing with each other or even with the other gym goers. The club is always clean and spotless; they abide by CDC rules with social distancing, personal sanitizer bottles, and even having your temperature checked at the door. They definitely have enough free weights, machines and cardio options to cater to anyone’s workout. If you’re ever in Savannah I would only recommend going to The Zoo to lift at.

I was visiting Savannah and called to ask about a daily pass, they told me on the phone it was $6 but then they charge me $12 and didn’t give me or offer my receipt so I didn’t realize until later (my bad, I should have asked for it) When it comes to working out I’m not going to complain about prices but it was very disappointing to realize they charge me double. Maybe it was a mistake, but they already gave me a terrible impression on how they take care of visitors. The gym is really good and clean and has everything you need that’s why the two stars, but I’m not coming back.

Great place to work out

I went this morning to take BODYPUMP and BODYSTEP. I was really excited to see Les Mills classes offered in Savannah which has mostly freestyle classes. The facility was in great shape and offered the new gen2 SMART bars and steps. Very clean and staff friendly. It was $10 for a day pass which I thought was reasonable. The instructor was wonderful and I got a great workout. Im looking forward to coming back the next time Im in town! I highly recommend The Zoo.

Signed up for this gym when it opened, was told they didn’t want the gym to fill up like Planet Fitness so as they they would eventually up the price so they would have less people signing up. However, this was not the case. Have been multiple times and left because the whole parking lot was full and there was almost no equipment to be used. It also attracts a lot of meat heads. Upside is that all the equipment is new, and it’s kept pretty clean.

This is a gorgeous club with first rate facilities. Staff is outstanding and well qualified. Great variety of equipment which makes it hard to get bored. This is the ONLY gym in the area to partner with Les Mills who create World Class fitness classes. Whether you are a beginner or the elite athlete, this gym will not disappoint! Have kids? The child care providers are kind, caring, and do everything they can to keep your children entertained so you can work out. It’s a win, win!!

This is the best facility in the entire low country area. Clean and pristine environment in addition to state of the art equipment. Professional staff in addition to all the amenities make this the only health club anyone should consider. Working out is finally fun and something to look forward to now that the Zoo Gym Savannah is here.

Fantastic gym and staff. Equipment is in perfect condition. Dumbells get up to 120. Bathroom is clean. And the gym stayed open during a hurricane. What more can you ask for

Rob and Holly are two of the most personable and honest business owners I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with here in savannah GA. Coming from California where the gyms are two stories tall and average about 40,000 sq ft...it was hard for me to find a gym out here where I actually felt at home. Was hesitant about going to zoo at first. Then was convinced by a friend. The pricing is dirt cheap and the equipment is the highest quality. Equipment is kept clean, locker rooms as well...and even the parking lot is kept up with and large enough to not have a panic attack trying to find a spot. The owners also slept in the gym during the hurricane to ensure the place was okay and opened the gym up the next morning at 0800. Pretty certain that their gym was the ONLY gym still open during a mandatory evacuation. I respect the hell out of that. So I rate this gym 5 stars. I will continue to train here for as long as I’m in Savannah and will train here when I visit once I leave. I wouldn’t listen to the 1 star reviews because for the reasons they listed...that’s worthy of maybe 3 stars. I don’t understand how you give one star to the largest gym in savannah. Like the size of the gym and equipment along gets the gym 3-4 stars. The customer service is the fifth star. So yeah I’m taking the 1 star reviews with a grain of salt. Ron and Holly keep killing it. Thank you for keeping up a gym where everyone can enjoy themselves and train hard.

Ive never really been a gym person. Ive had several memberships over the years with LA fitness, planet fitness, etc., But Ive never actually looked forward to working out...until now!It really comes down two main factors. When I joined, I took advantage of the free consultation with a trainer (cause it was free). Ive never had a personal trainer before and it has definitely been a game changer. Not only am I learning how to properly work out with weights and machines, but I LOVE my trainer!!! It doesnt feel like a workout because were talking and laughing most of the time. Then a day or two later I really feel the burn. So kudos to Janum Sailor with Element PT!The other factor has to be the owners. Ron and Holly are REAL people!! In the past, I have gone to gyms and immediately felt judged about my level of fitness when I walked in the door. I have NEVER felt that way at the zoo. When I go to the gym now, I am always greeted with there she is followed by some hilarious or sarcastic comment. THATS what keeps me coming back! (And the state of art equipment, Les Mills classes, Netflix and Spotify on the machines, etc.)

Working at the corporate office we are very proud of the way this gym is succeeding. We knew from the day we meet them that they were meant to do this. Its one of our newest gyms and very successful.

I opened this gym membership for my husband since he is a complete gym rat and is a body builder but have only been a member for a couple months now and have been very disappointed at the poor customer service I have experienced. Unfortunately I was dismayed that the very rude woman I was talking to over the phone was the owner. After my year is through I will not be renewing my membership. Amazing place in Savannah to workout! Everyone fits in this gym! Everything is brand new and really clean. Awesome new tecnology equipment and they are the only one who offers LesMills group classes in town. the membership price is pretty competitive. The gym has Child watch too what it is a great option for taking away the excuses to workout! Great and helpful staff.

Must go and,check out this,gym. There is nothing like it here in Savannah. Nice and,friendly staff...personal trainers available( with a fee) Cool classes Zumba..Body Pump..Spin classes day care hours ..gotta check it out
