Awesome tour. We parked in the Whitaker Street Parking Garage which is approx. 1 block NE of Ellis Square. In the second image you can see a tour bus adjacent to the carriage. We definitely preferred the carriage. There was only one other couple on the tour with us. Youll hit all the main sites just short of Forsyth Park. If you want a more personalized tour where its easy to ask your tour guide questions, Id recommend this tour.
OUT OF BUSINESS. OUT OF BUSINESS. OUT OF BUSINESS.As a former employee of this company, I cannot, in good conscious, not leave a warning about the fraud that is currently taking place with this company. This company is out if business, but will still allow you to book tours online, will take your money, and will never show up.Jennifer, I am so disappointed in you. I never thought it necessary to tell people I referred to you that they should cancel their bookings, because I thought you were honest enough to do it yourself. But I have now had TWO friends that you have allowed to book online, take their money, and never show up. I always considered you to be an honest, if money driven, person, and I never would have imagined that you would lower yourself to this level.
Unlike most of the carriage drivers in Savannah, Jennifer was born and raised here. She could be a curator for Savannah history. I asked her several questions and she patiently answered all of them. We thoroughly enjoyed our carriage ride. It was traveling through time.
Came to Savannah on our honeymoon, being horse people ourselves this tour was a must! It definitely didnt disappoint. Tabitha and Emmy were awesome! We learned so much and got to see all of the cool places! They take amazing care of their horses.
Had an awsome time with Jennifer and her daughter Rachel, looking at Christmas lights with my husband. Will definitely be riding with them again. Very professional and personable at the same time. Will definitely be telling others about her and her company.
This is a SCAM, beware! The website allows you to reserve a carriage ride, however, no one ever shows up for the tour and you cannot contact the company (voicemail box is full and no response to emails).
Had a great time. Our driver Jenn was very informative about Savannah’s history. Well worth the money.
We went to fine were to go later this evening and it is no where to be found. I am so disgusted.
Great hour long private tour in Savannah. Filled with lots of history, homes and monuments. More personable than other tours offered. Definitely a highlight of our trip. Thank you!
The worse tour ever. The tour guide, Jenn has very poor customer service. She cant answer basic questions about Savannah . Very inpatient. Hoping she will have more in service
We ordered and paid for a carriage ride for 10 pm on 7/27 but never received a ride. We were not able to reach anyone on the phone and have not received a refund
Booked for a Thursday and they called me 4 hours in advance to cancel our 10 pm ride instead of putting out a notice and waiting to call it closer to the actual time. By 8:30 it was only light rain, and by 9:15 it completely stopped. By 10 the streets were dry. Rescheduled for Saturday and...surprise surprise...it rained and the seats were all wet. Told them no thanks and asked for a refund. This company needs more practical thinking when it comes to watching the weather. They needlessly added to what had alredy been a disastrous vacation.
Great ride, laid back, comfy,,, Jen was top notch!!! Learned a lot of cool info about the area, highly recommend this!!!
Saw a horse today near City Market that was so emaciated pulling a carriage for this company. Hip bones were protruding and way too many visible ribs. Body condition score of 1. The horse also looked miserable. Please take care of your animals! It was very sad.
Our guide, Michelle, was fabulous! Our horse was gorgeous, it was my favorite part of our whole trip to Savannah. Highly recommend!
This rating is for how my complaint directly TO the company was not even acknowledged. The ride itself was probably 2.5-3 stars at best. This is slightly paraphrased due to character limits:I wanted to write in personally to your company, vs leaving a review online. The cost of this tour was more than what we paid for the Blue Man Group tickets-it was one of the more expensive things we did on our vacation- honestly I had been thinking about proposing to my s/o during the carriage ride & am relieved that I didnt. Our carriage was late. I get it. Its a horse tour. That really wasnt an issue for us.My s/o had a walker-hes a 100% disabled vet & asked (driver) if there was a good place to stow his fully collapsed walker (theres an slim area between the seated area and the drive area that looked like it would have been good, but, we dont know, we havent ever done this kind of thing). She looked at us, and looked in the back and kind of shrugged & said, somewere in the carriage-kind of like a how am I supposed to know, I dont care feeling to the remark. Ok..... He put it on the seat which was fine, it stayed, didnt fall etc. We get in get settled & I kid you not, the very next thing she says after kind of looking around is Do you ever wake up in the mornings & wonder if you are going to like people or not? Ive worked in hospitality positions over the last 20 years. I would have never said that to customers. Ever. Even being a bartender, where theres definitely a lot of opportunity to be, and its acceptable to be, surly. Ive never said that. Especially for a higher dollar type of experience. We are laid back people, sarcastic. We like to think of ourselves as funny/easy. But this-it threw me for a minute. I think we were both a little shocked because we were both silent, and then (the driver) looked back at us like she was waiting for an answer, I told her I think thats normal in a customer service industry/we all get that way some days.... from there she told us a little about the horse and herself. She seemed fairly annoyed the entire tour. She was perturbed by the drunk people. She acted like they were lucky she was biting her tongue. Im not sure how old she is, young, but old enough to know that none of these people were being extra. They were just drunk. Typical, funny, drunk people behavior. No one said anything to her personally. Nothing mean. No reason to be SO annoyed with anything (now of course I cant say whats happening at home for her and maybe shes in the middle of some tragedy-but you either dont come in to work or you check the bags at the door). She had a decent amount of information throughout the tour, the delivery was always off though. Sarcastic, or just off.At the end of the ride we tipped her very little from what we anticipated tipping ($30) - my s/o wouldve only tipped her $20 because she was so bad.We saw (the driver) one last time as we were leaving a restaurant. She was headed away from City Market towards Lady & Sons just on the corner of the park. A couple was trying to get more information. She made NO attempt to slow down or give them the time of day really at all. As she kept the horse moving, she told them they could book online. There is at least one competitor offering the same service you offer. If not more. All you have to set yourself apart is customer service. While (driver) very obviously loves working with the horses, I dont think she enjoys her actual JOB with you. This was our last stop, and I intended for it to be pretty romantic (at least for us), & this really kind of a ruined it. I apologized to my boyfriend for the tour, & he said, I mean you can pick the tour but not the guide. But still. Im extremely disappointed in the service we received..
Great place to see the sights and learn about Charleston history our guide Shawn was fantastic he was interesting to hear and very informative. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Made a reservation and showed up. No one here no answer of the phone.
This is a rip off. They allow us to get a reservation but are not open for business!!
The website says no matter the weather they go, but they were trying to cancel our carriage due to a potential rainstorm. We ended up going because more people showed up last minute. The ride itself was very enjoyable and we learned a lot of history!
Jennifer and her staff are wonderful. The horses are gorgeous, and it is plain to see that they are very well taken of. Would highly recommend.
What experience? Driving from Hilton Head to Savannah, booked online 3 hours before. Show up before the 7:00 arrival time and a very embarrased driver tells us he has another name booked. 10 minutes for Jennifer at the office to answer his phone, she tells me she accepted a phone booking. Offers to have us wait until 8:00. No offer of a partial refund for the inconvenience. Had to have her refund my money. Now it says it may take a month to appear. Now she will not answer the phone. Stay away! Leaving Savannah with a bad taste in my mouth.
Tour was very interesting and our guide really knew his stuff and was full of good jokes along the way! Would definitely recommend taking a tour with these guys!
Horses are well cared for. Great family experience.
So cruel to make these horses carry lazy people around.
Bit of a hard time to find.
