I had visited Savannah in August. I had ordered two tickets online but my daughter wasnt feeling well. We called right away to reschedule. Countless calls and never an answer and the voice mailbox was always full. We then went the next day and paid for an additional two tickets. At that time, we told the girl who was working there selling tickets what had happened. We were told no problem and that she was texting her boss who would give me a full refund. ($53.50). I never received the refund. We sent several emails that were ignored and we can never reach a person via telephone. The tour itself was very mediocre. Nice to ride around town however, I knew more history about the area and landmarks than our guide!!! A TOTAL RIPOFF!!! Ive heard about wonderful experiences with the walking tours. I would not recommend the carriage and take a walking tour instead!!

Careful careful careful! Signed up for a ghost tour, got a receipt for a ghost tour, but did NOT get a ghost tour. Nothing ghostly about it. Looks like they stuck us with someone who they needed to steer the horses, but knew nothing about ghost tours. After the ride, the sales girls told us to call the manager (Cara) the next day, and she literally said, What do you want me to do...I wont refund you the money. Wow. Buyer beware. Do one of the guided walking tours from another company, not this company.

Savannah is a perfect place to explore in a horse drawn carriage. The horses of Carriage Tours of Savannah are all beautifully cared for, clean and healthy. The drivers we have met are experienced horse people who really know their horses personally and really care about their wellbeing. Everyone is very friendly and have a good knowledge of the sights and history of their routes. We look forward to returning to Savannah in the fall to explore more, and well take another carriage tour as well.

I dont remember our tour guides name, but he was fabulous. Great sense of humor and really interesting information about the town, the buildings, and the history of Savannah. My ten year old and I had a great time. I think it was $40 after tax for one adult and one child, so its not cheap, but its reasonable for the experience. They require masks while youre on the ride, which I appreciated, and I saw them sanitize the carriage before we got on.

I would give 6 stars if I could. We did the group carriage ride and it was great. The cost was $25 per person for a 45 minute tour. We were pulled by two horses. The guide not only explained a lot of Savannahs history, but also about the horses and where they come from and how they are treated. Our guide was very funny and smart. We loved everything about our 45 minute tour. Yes it was only 45 minites, but it did not feel rushed. It felt perfect. I am still trying to soak in all the information from our quick visit to Savannah and this wonderful tour.

For Valentines, my husband surprised me with a private carriage ride around town. The gentleman there was kind and took our picture for us. Since it was chilly out, they had a blanket for us, although we already came prepared with our own. Our guide was wonderful, she took us around the squares and some historic/haunted areas. It was great to learn some history and see some sights. We both loved it, well worth what he paid! Just watch out when you get out of the carriage, I ended up slicing the palm of my hand about 1.5inches on something sharp. Were already talking about taking our daughter on their ghost tour this summer.

The tour was wonderful however it was not at all as advertised. We paid for a ghost tour, we got a historical tour. We did a historical tour durring the day and specifically booked this as a ghost tour. When I asked about a ghost story I was told to checkout the establishment. Thats not at all what was advertised or what we wanted. It would get 1 star if the guide wasnt so nice and the horse was so sweet.

Ghost tour was great and enjoyed our tour guide as well as the horses.I would like to say that I would actually rate this a 4.5 stars out of 5, since the tour wasnt all that scary. However, my definition of scary against another persons could be completely different and I dont want to review lower for a personal preference. I enjoyed learning the history and haunting details about certain areas/homes. In that aspect, the guide was informative and followed the history of the town accurately. At least as accurately as our tour earlier with a different activity (non-ghost related). It was also fun to learn about places we had been that were considered haunted or had a morbid history to them. The carriage tour is definitely the way to go as far as a ghost tour goes, regardless of how scary it actually is. It kind of brings an ambiance outside of a walking/drinking tour. Would recommend highly.

Booking a private carriage tour in a city weve never been to was something of a nerve wracking experience, but these guys did a great job.Booking online was straightforward, they knew who we were when we turned up, and the tour itself was lovely; our guide gave enough narrative to keep it entertaining and answering all of our questions without it seeming like a script.Certainly more reasonably priced than the competition and a quality experience.Recommended for anyone wanting to book a private tour but feeling nervous about it working out ok.

Took a private expensive tour with my spouse yesterday. She deserves the best and is well worth it - to me. After all that she has suffered...a little romantic ride in this pretty town might help with the pain. Unfortunately, we have been ruined by the PETA standards that the horse drawn carriages abide by in Charleston, SC. Payment process was a snap no issues. The cashier offered extra blankets due to the brisk temperature - nice touch! The tour guide driver had to be prompted just to give us her name. She was impressively knowledgeable but seemed a little distracted/uninterested? Hmmm, no “ooh or aahs” presentation? We paid extra for a full hour tour but got 51ish min.(?) while waiting I noticed that the carriage itself could of used an upkeep. Maybe brush the horse, shine the brass, paint the carriage instead of looking at your phone on “company time”. Really strange way to protect ones livelihood. Again, spoiled by Charleston, SC’s standards. Savannah has so much to see and offer but maybe this isn’t the best method.
