I had an AMAZING dental experience here at Beneva Dental w Dr. Jimenez. He answered all my questions and eased my fears! He took care of my dental emergency and called me later to see how I was doing! Compassionate and effective. His staff was kind, he was punctual and the office is clean ☺️

Ive just made my first appointment to see this dentist and as I read all these reviews I cant help but shake my head. One person is screaming and bucking against the Novocaine shot 🙄... Are you 5 years old? Everyone else saying the shot hurt... Well... Duh. Its a large needle going into your mouth... Its GOING TO HURT. Yet many others insinuating that the dentist found cavities in areas that didnt hurt. Yes folks, early cavities dont cause pain, thats why they are called early and you get them taken care of ASAP. If things start to hurt then ask for Novocaine 💁 .All of the self entitled, whiny reviews here, its pretty pathetic. I look forward to seeing the doctor August 3rd and updating my review from there.

Not only was I on hold for 20 minutes.. no one ever came back to the phone. While waiting the 20 minutes I had the pleasure of listening to everyone call and leave their information on their voicemail. This is 100% a HIPAA violation!!! These people left their full names, phone numbers, and they’re very personal information. And this information was broadcasted to not only me to hear but other patients in the office as well… my phone call was never returned after leaving many voicemails!! More than unsatisfied with this office!!!

Please if you love yourself do NOT even think about calling this place. Horrible bedside manner. Im traumatized after my visit. I dont want to go into detail but I will say with the 100+doctors Ive personally dealt with he is THE WORST.

Horrible experience. I went in for a routine cleaning, he told me I had 8 cavities. He drilled so hard with no numbing and left the dental assistant to do the fillings. I kept telling her they do not feel right and she insisted they were fine. No one ever went over after care with me, or what to expect. All fillings are gone now and 3 teeth are chipped. Dealing with numerous problems now and lots of $$$ all because of negligence. How he got his dental license is beyond me. DO NOT SCHEDULE HERE!

I went here to get ONE tooth taken care of. They did an exam and filled 9 teeth that I was having zero issues with. Now the teeth that the pathetic excuse of a dentist filled all hurt, and I can barely chew. Mind you this was a year ago I was seen. Not only did he hold me down and told me to be quiet while I was screaming because he was drilling into my tooth but when he used the needle for the numbing medicine, he pulled an open needle out of a drawer. I dont know if it was used on anyone else before or not. This place should be shut down! He ruined my teeth!!

They polished my teeth for 2 minutes and had me swish with flouride and consider that a cleaning? Never brushed or flossed my teeth. It’s obvious that they book as many people as possible so they can bill their insurance company without actually doing any work. They took my X-ray and looked in my mouth but never went over what cavities I had or what work needed to be done. They said I had to come back to get any fillings. I’ve never been to a dentist that didn’t go over my X-rays with me. This place is a scam, stay far away!

Never been to a dentist and 15 years never had a problem went in there had a bunch of little cavities supposedly they drilled out all this stuff put in feelings came back 3 Days later said you missed this this and this and this feeling fell out he told me oh no theres still some filling in there Ive been trying to call them for the last 2 months since I went every single feeling they gave me fell out they missed two cavities didnt do a proper cleaning not one of the three times I was there and charged my insurance every time for cleaning and x-rays and everything if they dont fix my teeth I am going to sue I am in so much pain because of these people and they didnt even have the dentist to the work they had the text do the work he came in looked went out he had how can one dentist work on four patients at once he can he came in and looked in the dental text did the work yes

Beneva Dental has a friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff and Dentist. I am very happy with the 3 crowns and root canal that Dr. Jiménez did on my teeth. I have always had a great dental experience here and would recommend them to others.

Insane experience. The dental assistant, old And skinny white lady, was rocking back and fourth and slurring her speech like she was on drugs! The “ dentist “ Dr. Jimenez looked at my teeth for 30 seconds, talked to the dental assistant and left the room! Not one word was spoken to me. Dental assistant then aggressively brushed and flossed my teeth. Made my gums bleed. I also had to pull out MY OWN PHONE and I HAD TO take pictures of MY OWN teeth so they could show my insurance. Does it get anymore unprofessional then that???? This was just the most bizarre dental visit I’ve ever had in my life... I am ASTONISHED that this business is still up and running. I would rather go to a local university and have the dental students work on my teeth. PLEASE PLEASE do not waste your time at this horrible place! I would not be taking the time to write this review out if it wasn’t as bad as I’m saying it is.... I will never go back to this dentist. If this was the last dental practice in the world I would not go... seriously... for now on I will be going to “ HILLVIEW FAMILY DENTAL “ in Sarasota. This was my first and LAST TIME ever going to this place. People your teeth are way too important and valuable! Do not let the staff at “Beneva Dental Care” touch your teeth ! If you love yourself do not go here.

The office staff act like they are high all the time they never answer the phone very unprofessional

Worse dentist and staff ever!!They only like to send you to someone else to have your teeth extracted. I wanted one tooth pulled and because i wasnt getting dentures right away they refused to even see me because they wanted only to see me for dentures. Also office lady is very rude and never calls you back.

They are a great team that gives excellent services.

My daughter and are new patients and I couldnt be more pleased with the staff, the Doctor and the care that we received today. I want to thank each one of the ladies that helped us. I also want to thank the awesome Dr! He is a no nonsense, get to work, take care of business kind of Dr, who does beautiful work. This is a wonderful dental practice. My daughter just got her dentures and they are beautiful! The entire staff is caring, knowledgeable, kind and helpful. First if I can give 0 stars I would. I went in for a regular cleaning and was told I needed múltiple fillings but was never shown my xrays. He filled 2 of my molars and was extremely rough. I was in excrutiating pain for weeks after and I went back to have him say I needed root canals on both molars which didnt convince me since I had no pain before Being seen by him. I had to be seen by a different dentist only to be told I had to have IT redone and still had some cavity left inside. A couple days later I was in no pain and dont even need root canals !! Waterfront Dental Dr. Aareet Sandhu in Venice AVE saved my life. Money out of my pocket when I have dental insurance. If you have Medicaid do not go here!!!

I went in for a cleaning and routine check up. Was told I had cavities. I asked how many, and where, was told “a lot, all over. But we can take care of them today”. Ok, fine. But he never looked at my panoramic X-ray. Just went by sight.Started drilling with no numbing gel or Novicane. When tears started spilling out of my eyes from pain, “Dr” Jimenez said, “it’s a shame. These cavities are so small. You shouldn’t need numbing”. Then numbed only one side of my mouth, by jabbing the needle in with no regard for my comfort. Then he left. The dental assistant continued gently and with care.I was given no explanation of after care, And even now, my teeth feel foreign to me.Please stay away from this dentist. The hygienists are nice, but the practice is barbaric and unprofessional.

It has been 4 months since i got my tops pulled with a bad infection caused by the dentist. He got tired of pulling teeth got up walked out had the assistant finish my teeth. Then the prices of wait began it has been 4 months now and 6 mistakes on their part its crazy they are by far the worst place do not come here. I still dont have my teeth its fab. 5th I got mine pulled Oct. 30. Its just sad.

My wife Linda & I have been patients of Dr. Jimenez for the past 17 years. We find him to be compassionate, efficient, fast & personable. He always calls later in the day to see how were feeling & if theres anything he can do for us. We highly recommend him.

Even though a visit to the dentist is not a pleasurable thing to do, to go to Beneva Dental Care is absolutely different. The good professionals there make the difference. Being in Dr. Jimenez care is one of the best things that has ever happened to me, sort of thing that you can give thanks for forever. I truly recommend to anybody who needs dental care to go to Beneva Dental Care instead of any other place to receive the best service that you can expect.

We have been going to Dr Jimenez for about 15 years. We are happy with his services. We had an emergency and I called early one evening and left a message. Dr Jimenez called back within an hour and scheduled an appointment for early the next day. He is very professional and his mild manner makes us comfortable in going to a dentist.

Stay FAR away from this place! I have never had such a horrible experience at a dental office in my life. The staff are extremely unprofessional and rude. The doctor took my fillings out, I was flinching multiple times and all he said was “oops went a little to far on that one!” He was so rough! The “assistant” then put my new fillings in and sighed in my face the entire time like she had something better to do. Never once did I get my mouth rinsed out, right when I was about to leave she said I could rinse my mouth out at the sink. I was probably in the chair for a total of 10 minutes and had maybe 5 words spoken to me from the time I walked into the door. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

As Dr. Jimenezs Office Manager I feel very fortunate and proud to work for such a fine Professional. The efficiency and quality care is a true reflection of Dentistry at its finest. Our Staff are warm and welcoming to each and every patient.

I have been with Dr. Jimenez for over 5 years, I have had a great experience at Beneva Dental Care. I, at over 60 years old, last year I had him take out my 4 wisdom teeth. That one was a bugger, but all good, and now better flossing for me. All the staff is very friendly and nice. I would highly recommend him for your dental care.

Awful experience, no one knew what was going on. The dentist and the assistants could not get their information together and instead we’re fighting and yelling at each other. The cleaning was barely even a cleaning. Never changed their gloves once, had them on when he even walked in the room from where he came. Very rude, my mom tried to explain what was wrong with her teeth and he said “I have bad news, I won’t be able to help you with anything, now lay back and let me see your teeth.” Did not even care about the pain my mother had just wanted to look in her mouth so he could charge for an exam. Don’t waste your time or money there are more professional, clean and educated places.

Don’t go here if you have Medicaid, because you will be treated different. Wouldn’t fill my sons chipped tooth with nerve exposed because he said Medicaid is difficult to submit to!

My experiences with Beneva Dental Care has always been very positive. They have an extremely friendly staff and Dr. Jimenez is great! Highly recommend going here if you are looking for a dentist who cares about their patients.

The x Ray machine was broken. They didnt clean my daughters teeth. The person used small dried bits of polish on her teeth. They used a rinse you can buy in the store as floide treatment. My daughter was upset to hear she had cavities and began to cry. The dentist said I cant deal with her crying and he said she wasnt welcome back if she crys. Well no problem there I will never go back there again!!!!

Terrible experience with dentist, tech and receptionist were great! The Dentist was pretty rude. I was told that the pregnancy could not at all harm my teeth and the damage being done was coincidentally at the same time. I was fine with that answer though I am not sure I believe it. However the dentist proceeded to tell me over and over how terrible my teeth are also stating it is a shame because I have a perfectly straight smile. The dentist seem to just want to scold me and tell me how bad I am for my teeth and that it is entirely my fault. I would never recommend this dentist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jimenz at Beneva Dental for nearly twenty years. Dr. Jimenez is an excellent dentist (and very affordable). I recall one time when he made a very difficult crown for me. I have been going to Beneva Dental Care for a few years now. I rarely have to wait more than a minute or two to be seen. I have been very happy with the service.

This place should be ashamed of themself. My mom went here today with a severe grinder infection and they told her absolutely nothing about it!!! They did a deep cleaning that only lasted 3 minutes. Literally she was in an out of there office. Here she is in pain and is killing me. When she asked about what they could do for her all they told her was we are waiting on insurance approval to do some more stuff on you I can stand this kind of stuff. People working without vocation. So sad. I understand how insurance work and how everything is about money in this freaking world. But if everyone could see a picture of my mom mouth you could understand my frustration. Will never ever have her go there again. I really dont want to choose a start but it wont let me post this if I dont do it. Zerooooo for this place.

This is an excellent dentist, very professional and concerned about your well-being. Everyone of the staff is also very friendly and caring.

My spouse and I just left Beneva Dental.I have SO many complaints....1. No dental Hygienist... someone took dental xrays, but I am POSITIVE she was not qualified.2. The dentist came to see each of us, and made his diagnosis with out even looking at our xrays... ever!3. As soon as he sat down his belly was rubbing up against me..... and I can literally still smell his gross cologne.4. The minute he stuck his mirror in my mouth, I could feel a hair on my tongue, so when he took a break I removed short black hair from my mouth, that i can PROMISE you wasnt there before he put his hands in my mouth.5. His diagnosis was basically the same for myself and my spouse ... he more or less wants to replace every filling we have ever had, and refill, or do crowns! He actually said the filling has surpassed its lifespan!6. Both of our cleanings took about hmmm less than 60 seconds (because he whizzed over each tooth, and didnt even bother with a quarter of my teeth).When he was finished he asked us to walk over to the sink and rinse w water.... he told ME to rinse w fluoride rinse.... but neglected to have my spouse rinse w fluoride.... no flossing was done either.We just moved to the area and Beneva Dental was just up the street from us, and it looked OK from the outside! ..... but people, you have more options out there..... the guy wasnt mean or anything... but he also has 1 JOB TO DO.... and he didnt doit, AT ALL!

Hated this place my child was rudely given a mirror and then she was critized on how badly her teeth look the dentist kept saying bad job,ew this place has unsatisfifiy behavior I avoid staying away from a old women...............

I called to make sure they could remove my wisdom teeth and they said yes. I came in early and waited for about 45 minutes before I seen the dentist. The dentist came in hardly said hello and told me to open wide. He sat there looking at my teeth for about two seconds before he rudely handed me a mirror. He showed me extremely rudely how much plaque was on my teeth and told me how I must not be brushing my teeth at all because they are disgusting and proceeded to say ew ew bad bad to all of my teeth. The bib around my neck had been strapped into my hair and I was hit in the face by his oversized Rolex. If I could I would give him -5 stars. Would definitely not recommend going here.

I signed in the receptionist was very friendly and I was called back, my xrays were taken professionally, the person was very nice but all she did was take xrays and was then brought into exam room for more xrays. Then was told dentist would be in shortly. He comes in quickly says hello, examines my teeth and tells me I have cavities by blowing air on my teeth to show me . He put some polish on my teeth, not all teeth and was told to rinse and be on my way. I have never had a cleaning like that ever. There is no hygenist there and he was smashing my eye with his arm the entire process. No scaling was done no flossing. I questioned him about cavities and told him that I take care of my teeth, flossing and brushing twice a day, he said well you do . I go to check out and now on my treatment plan is 11 fillings at 200-250 per tooth that he will bill the insurance for and not to mention the discomfort I would feel. The receptionist said she would check with my insurance and call me back to let me know what was covered. I never received a call.I then decided to go for a second opinion because nothing felt good about this and guess what not one cavity, just stained teeth. They actually did a proper cleaning like I have had at every other dentist I have been to.So i would not recommend this dentist as you will not get proper care and will have unneccesary dental work.

RIP OFFFFF.....Started out nice, then as I was sitting in the exam chair I hear assistant on her cell /personal call going on and on about how she couldnt place the order because she was sooooo broke???? Then Dentist came in looked at my mouth for a total of 65 seconds (I was counting) said I needed a root canal and 2 caps then left the room. I wanted a second opinion so I called and asked to have my digital x-rays sent to another dentist office and they wanted to charge me $50. I wasnt sure if this was a standard charge so I did a little investigating; out of the 4 dental offices I contacted they are the only ones that have a duplication fee, to send digital x-rays to another office. Honestly 1 star is giving them way too many. Dental work is costly enough, why nickle and dime people.

Extremely satisfied with the dental care that Doctor Jimenez offers, I have complete confidence in the work that he does. I have been a patient for more than 8 years and have had my share of fillings and Crowns installed.

I went to dr j today to get a tooth pulled and broke in five pieces and it became infectoed and my gums were bleeding intensively and all he said to me was i did not need antibiotic or pain medicine just to take IB prophine and I ended up in the emergency room ^ hours later over severe pain and discomfort . in my opinion this doctor is all about money and nothing else . do not schedule an appointment with him if you have a acute situation . my name is STEVEN SCHRAGER and I am no long a client of DR. Had a appointment today to get a tooth pulled the guy and his staff has the balls to tell me I can not have my service dogs there .. I said by law I can and that you have to let them be there because they are my service dogs remind you they are small 13 and 21 lbs dogs I took a day off from work to get this done and it didnt happen never again will i go back to this person I told my medacid what they did.
