We contracted Lagassi pools to resurface around the pool in our Lanai, and put pavers in our driveway. Dealing with Steve Lagassi was the worst experience I have ever encountered. He was rude to me for asking a simple question about the job, cussed us out, overcharged us, then hung up the phone on us, telling us he would not do our driveway. We officially initiated our pool remodel with Lagasse in 10/2016, “finished in 10/2018. Now, 07/2021 several large holes in our grout remain under our new waterfall ultimately causing fault within the wooden wall structure behind the tiles. My requests for repairs were addressed, re-addressed, passed forward, delay of repairs requested 3-4x, promising staff relinquished, and although Steve Lagasse was cc’d on every email with simply stated request(s) the holes remain. A final text to Steve in desperation, he said that he would handle it personally. Another 1.5 months pass & my husband called to find out when, he acted like we were putting him out, and this matter remains unresolved. ALSO, last week, our brand new pump housing sprouted a pinhole leak. Manufacturer states to notify the builder - brought to Lagasse’s attention. In waiting for response, yet another part has failed & now the whole system is completely inoperable & shut down. Steve Lagasse can’t keep his facts straight & seems completely overwhelmed. He just mailed us another letter (same one 3x) claiming out of warranty”. Hayward seemed put out but not at all surprised by Lagasses neglect which is an ongoing issue, apparently. Fortunately, I did make that call & found 1.5 yrs of coverage remain & they will come within 2 bus days. I AM NOT OUT OF WARRANTY - Now imagine if I had to follow up with Hayward & their promise for 2 yrs straight receiving no follow-up & chasing false promises until Hayward states that its no longer under warranty… This is exactly what it’s been like dealing with Steve Lagasse for the past 5 yrs. It’s ludicrous! Lagasse Pools LLC should have their license revoked for unethical practices. ps… there is so much more, I could honestly write a book.

We asked LaGasse to bid on our pool reconstruction project along with a few other companies. LaGasse was unpretentious, confident with their abilities, proud of their history in the area and extremely helpful with the process. Our budget was respected and any options we considered that were out of budget were clearly identified as such.The work was done promptly with the owner on premises and all crew members extremely polite.After the work was completed (and paid for) all follow up requests were handled promptly. We signed on as a regular maintenance customer and have been completely satisfied.

I hired LaGasse Pools to design and construct our pool in Siesta Key. We had a tricky little space to work with and they helped design the exact pool of my dreams.The finished product is a cocktail size pool (that is the latest trend) with beautiful shell color travertine pavers. Joe was very helpful with helping me pick my materials to make a showstopper pool.Every employee and subcontractor of LaGasse was very professional and a pleasure to work with. They were very good at explaining all aspects of the construction and all work was performed timely and professionally. All little hiccups (there will always been some when constructing a pool) was dealt with and fixed.I can’t say enough good things about our experience with LaGasse Pools and would highly recommend them!

Previous unnamed pool company left a disaster in our backyard. They drained the pool without taking proper precautions and the whole pool caved in on itself. Called LaGasse pools to see if they could help. Steve came out that day and an estimate was made by that evening. It only took three weeks To go from absolute nightmare disaster in the backyard to the most beautiful pristine pool possible. Workers were polite and came to work! Steve was upfront and honest. I highly recommend this company. It was obvious they could tackle any problem.

I first met Steve LaGasse in 2017 when he quoted me a price for repairs on leaking underground pipes. He repaired the lines, reconfigured my pump lines and installed the proper pool filter. His men showed up on time finished the job in one day and has worked perfectly. The final price was exactly what he quoted me in the beginning. Fast forward two years....The pool needed a total restoration. Having dealt with LaGasse during my repair Work I felt very comfortable using them again. I did speak to other contractors but the comfort level was not there. This restoration included stripping the fiberglass coating, plaster, tile and removing splash edge around the perimeter. Steve it is a real hands-on guy and came up with some great ideas and was very patient during our selection of tile and plaster color. The mechanics they sent out were fantastic. What I liked about it the most was they were the same men every day. I was given the foreman’s cell phone number and Steve’s number and someone always answer the phone. It very rarely went to voicemail and if it did they got right back to me. That’s the key, good communication. This was quite an extensive project but ended up Being hassle free. In the end we installed waterfall with LED lighting, LED light in the pool, sun shelf, skimmer, ceramic fish, beautiful light green plaster along with amazing iridescent tile. As a suggestion when choosing a plaster color look at other pools in the sun and Shade. My wife wanted something that looked like the Caribbean and actually the color was a light green not blue. Don’t just go by the chips on the chart look at some pools. Anyway back to Steve LaGasse, Steve told me that the project will take four weeks. They started April 8, 2019 and completed everything by May 6 exactly 4 weeks just what he said. It even included additional work That we added after the project started. It was completed on time and the price was what Steve quoted me in the end. It has been one year since the pool was completed and it looks fantastic. DO NOT USE THEM!! Steve Lagassa will sell you everything and not stand by his word. He was nasty and very unprofessional when you ask about what he said he was going to do. They put the wrong color in my pool and will not even come look at finished pool to see it. By sides the actual pool not matching the sample I picked out I have proof from the men who put the surface in told me it’s not the color I paid for. Steve Lagassa and Steve Zonakis don’t even want to speak to us about it. They only send me emails requesting payment. The whole process dealing with them was terrible. They do not stand by their work and very nasty people!!

I called to schedule a pool inspection for a property clients had under contract over a Holiday weekend. The owner of the company fit me in the day of calling and was a wealth of knowledge for myself and my clients. I will definitely be calling them again. A+++++

Came to store on Clark Road to look at Sheds. Met with Jason. He suggested we go on the design page and design our shed. We did and sent him the design and our note said we are ready to go on this. Never heard anything. Sent him a separate email and left two phone messages saying we were ready to buy a shed. Nothing. Disappointing. I do not recommend.

What is the measure of a company? Quality products? Excellent customer service? Timeliness? All of the above? When a company performs and meets these expectations, do they generally garner enthusiastic praise, or is that considered minimally acceptable?I think the measure of quality in a company is not found in how well they perform a service or provide a product. Rather, what happens when things don’t go as planned. Integrity matters when things go awry. Absolutely, when a company provides quality materials and excellent service, it should be noteworthy, but when they take customer service seriously enough to mitigate issues of their own accord without any prompting, it alleviates pressure on the homeowner to know that the situation is manageable. Part of that important ongoing process is communication; a well-informed customer is certainly the bane of any mediocre company’s existence, but you know you found a top-notch performer when they ensure updates are frequent and well-understood.Such is the case with LaGasse design and the saga that was my pool renovation. I do not trust easily, and from the onset I was comfortable with the representative’s knowledge and willingness to recite said information so that I might grasp the finer points.The work ensued and each day I was provided detailed updates. Even with delays (through no fault of anyone, just the condition of the former fiberglass installation), the crews were always communicative and professional.The it happened; the unthinkable. Problems arose after the build completed and I feared I would be left to my own devices. Not the case at all. Steve assured me they would resolve my issues no matter how long it took. That’s integrity, and that is why I would highly recommend them to anyone. Doing a good job is praiseworthy, standing behind your work shows integrity and pride.

Everything I was looking for in one place

Joe Lagasse came out to do a bid on our pool and deck remodel. He was informative, extremely friendly, and not pushy at all. He answered all of our questions to satisfaction. He then showed up after work had begun to check the job status. Steve Lagasse also came out multiple times, and he too was friendly, answered all questions and addressed all concerns immediately whenever needed. Dexter and Anthony oversaw the entire job, putting in many hours, including Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Whenever something wasnt to their standards, it was re-done. Whenever we had questions, they were ALL available. Resurfacing, re-tiled, new coping, travertine deck, screen and cage work, stucco repair, and painting - they did it ALL. We are rather picky people, and how it looks and functions is very important to us, to the point that we can be a bit of a pain. They handled all of it with extreme professionalism, and their workmanship was awesome. We were nervous with ANY company touching our pool. Im glad we went with Lagasse, and I look forward to recommending them, without hesitation, to our family and friends. Thanks guys, our pool is exquisitely beautiful.

Just finished a large 8 month long project (backyard Tuff Shed office, covered lanai, several hundred square feet of paver block patio & walkway) and these guys were great from start to finish. They were patient and informative during the design process, they showed up on time and did what they said they would do. They stayed on budget - no surprises or extra costs after the fact. The owners are always available when needed.I would recommend this company and plan on using them again. Thanks for the great work!

Had I believe Steve come out to bid on a 100 foot retention wall, said he would get back to me on a price waited a week and no call or email. Called the office and the receptionist couldnt find the paper work on my project so she told me that she would have steve email me and now a week and a half later still no email. Very disappointed.

Our salesperson, Herbert, was always prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable; and the price for our paver driveway and sidewalks was fair and competitive.Steve La Gasse, owner, excavated for our project and was patient and thorough. He even had one of his friends remove a large oak tree for us at the last minute after excavation had begun because it was too close to our house and diseased. You could tell that Steve was committed to ensuring that our whole project went perfectly, and that he took great pride in his work.Jose’s team did a beautiful job installing the pavers and were expert in every way. Jose gave us layout design tips along the way that made our design even better. He was great.The finished product was flawless and my wife and I were extremely pleased. Everyone was always prompt. I cannot say enough good things about the entire team and the finished product.
