Today was my first visit to the Strickland Family Dentistry. I was looking forward to a great appointment since my husband had already gone to them for services and had a great experience.The front office team warmly greeted me and I was taken in to my appointment on time. Christine went right to work assessing my needs and providing guidance on what options were available.After getting Dr. Strickland’s input, we moved forward with a treatment plan. All very professional and upfront. Just the way I like it.I highly recommend Strickland Family Dentistry forany dental services you may need.

I dont dont normally do a review on my first visit, but this is an exception. The front end is outstanding and always accomadationy. Finding a new dentist in another state is always difficult. I cant take credit for finding Dr. Strickland as my boyfriend found him first, but Im glad he did.The office is clean and organized. The staff, including Fran at the front desk, keep it running smoothly and efficiently. Every effort is made to schedule follow up appointments to fit both your schedule and the schedule of the other dentist on a timely basis. I am seeing a periodontist also as I am having implants and on the day of my surgery I need to see both dentists one after the other.Dr. Stricklands dental assistants are professional and very kind and helpful. They helped me choose the right tooth shade for my denture. I look forward to seeing them at each appointment.As for Dr. Strickland himself he is kind, attentive and has a calm soothing chair side manner sensing some apprehension on my part and answering my questions. Hes also a perfectionist taking impressions and ensuring a perfect smile and bite.I could go on, but Ive covered all the basics. Whether you are looking to spend money on dental care, it is important to feel welcome and to trust the expertise of the dentist and his staff. After all, you only have one smile! Ive been to a handful of dentists in the last decade. Every one of them gave the same story, root canal and crown or bridge. Those are moderately expensive with insurance, and fairly obnoxious without. Strickland Dentistry has been the ONLY local dentist / specialist that has talked to me and shown me options for tooth care and procedures. Not only that, appointments were in a relatively quick time frame, compared to an average 3 week wait for others. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and understanding, which is much needed in this industry. Lastly, their equipment and tech appears to be very up to date and well taken care of.

Friendly front desk and outstanding professional staff. Clean and up to date office. But the best part is the dental management recommendations are appropriately conservative and trustworthy. Recommend without hesitation.

I had a tough time locating the office as I have just recently moved to the area. The gals in the office were great of getting me there. And although I was 20 minutes late they welcomed me and spent all the time I needed. Dr Strickland and Michelle went over all my options and broke everything down by visit, total cost, expected insurance amount and my responsibility. Made it much easier to make decisions. Dr Strickland has been my dentist since I retired to Sarasota 5 years ago. Recently on a Thursday evening I broke a crown on my front tooth that was 10 years old. I called Friday morning and spoke to the longtime office manager Fran. She got me in that morning without hesitation.The entire staff from the Doctor, dental hygienists and dental assistant were fantasticThey were able to remove what was left of the damaged crown, put in a temporary crown order me a new one from the lab and get me out in time to meet my family at the beach.I highly recommend Dr Strickland FAMILY dentistry because when youre a patient they truly treat you like youre family.Thank you to the entire team for your professionalism, knowledge and kindness.Eric C.

I went to Dr Strickland’s office for a regular teeth cleaning with Michelle and I had a very disappointing experience. My last cleaning with Michelle was very good so I was surprised when this happened:Michelle used her periodontal probe to measure the pockets in my gums. Most measured 3. There were some in the back that measured 5 and Michelle said they were bleeding but I did not taste any blood in my mouth. Michelle then suggested the use this Arestin Therapy on me and deep scaling which I later found out cost $706.00. She said that I have Periodontitis disease and said that she was surprised that my dentist in NJ did not say anything. I then said, I was here 6 months ago. You didn’t say anything. She went on to say that if I didn’t have this attended to, that I could lose bone. I felt that she was trying to intimidate me into getting this treatment done then and there. I told her to just clean my teeth and that I wanted to do more research on this before making any decisions.When I went home I did research this method and here’s what I found out. First of all I should have been diagnosed with periodontitis disease, which I never was. If I did have a problem with my gums a Gum Scaling and Root Planing should have been done first and if that did not work then Arestin Therapy could be tried. I brush twice a day and floss every day. I do not have bleeding, my teeth are not loose and my gums look pink to me. Bottom line, I felt like this was all a scare tactic to make more money. It’s a shame because I really did like Dr Strickland. However, since these are his new office practices I’m off to find a new dentist that is patient-centered and not profit-centered.

After my first visit to Dr Strickland I was very impressed with his office and equipment. In follow up visits I had a crown on a back molar. This was done using 3D digital scanning and produced the best fitting crown that I’ve ever had. I was also impressed with his skill level in giving me the least painful crown procedure I’ve ever experienced.

So, I have some major dental renovation needed and went to a new periodontist (Dr. Feldman who I am also crazy about). I shared that I did not have a general dentist right now and he recommended his friend Dr. Strickland. From the minute I walked through the door, I felt there was something special about this practice. Dr. Strickland is amazing. I have never gone to a dentist and not experience pain at some point, until now. I was there for over 3 hours (major work done) and he and Molly (dental assist) kept reassuring me, sharing each step of the process and did not cause me any pain whatsoever, NONE! I walked out with a beautiful temp. bridge and confidence that I have found my forever dentist! The entire team are just beautiful, loving people and highly skilled professionals! Im a patient for life!!!! If you need a new dentist, look no further!To add to this, Elizabeth (Dental Hygienist) did a remarkable job cleaning and examining my teeth. She was thorough, knowledgeable, skilled and gentle. She definitely goes above and beyond!!!

I had a cracked plate. I couldnt get any dentist to help me. So I called Dr. Stricklands office, I told them me problem and they said come on in. They fixed me up in two visits. I cant say enough about Dr. Strickland and Fran was especially helpful also.

So I just got back from Dr. S. I think he and his staff are rock stars. Single tooth anesthesia when they replaced a leaky filling. Bonding to deal with the back of a lower front tooth that I screwed up (and a previous dentist wouldnt touch). Look, if you are near South Sarasota, give them a try.

I needed a new dentist and saw Dr. Strickland’s new office in the Publix Plaza. Since I am there all the time I gave them a go. The receptionist is super sweet and takes care of you from start to finish. Their new office is beautiful and has the most up to date technology. Dr. Strickland was gentle, professional and gave his honest feedback about my mouth which I greatly appreciated. The hygienist was fanstastic and gave me a deep clean (I am picky). I would highly recommend this dentist office to anyone. So convenient. Thank you.

Girls at the front desk are very pleasant and helpful. The gentleman who performed xrays, took pictures, discussed options, was extremely knowledgeable and thorough.
