I felt like I had to do most of the thinking on my returns. Although my tax rep eventually got on board with helping. I had to figure out ways I qualify for write offs. I felt like bad I not done that. I would of gotten a lot less back. And probably lost assistance I get and absolutely count on. I saw another rep standing with a elderly man telling him he owes and he was crying. He was saying he lives on social security. I am willing to bet that man had write offs and it always feels like the reps at H&R Block just wanna rush. But still charge you 420 bucks. I’ll only be back if I can’t find someone else

I had a great experience getting my taxes done at H&R Block this year but the price is too high. My girlfriend taxes are much more complicated than mine but was charged half the price where she had her taxes done. You guys are great but the the price to file a short form with no deductions is toohigh .

My tax advisor Julie was not very professional. I live in the east bay but wanted to go to H &R in Santa Rosa being that i had a good experience last year plus I could visit family since I am from Santa Rosa and I have family there. So I drove to Santa Rosa and went to H&R block in farmers lane dropped off my paperwork and filled some paperwork. No one told me I had to go back to sign everything once it was finalized up until weeks later I had called them and asked about my taxes they they finally got to work on them telling me the person who was doing them no longer works there..um ok good thing i called. They said Julie was my advisor now she did my taxes.So I went back a few weeks later to sign. Ok but Julie didnt want to talk to me she saw me come in with my baby and ignored me, she didnt seem busy at all, she had her associate attend to me who was nice but she kept going back in forth asking Julie my questions. I agreed to the paperwork and signed but as I was going to my car I saw something in the paperwork that I had a question about I didnt want to dive all the way back to the east bay then again to Santa Rosa, so I went back again, Julie didnt want to speak to me and had her associate help me again. I just feel I wasnt treated fairly and I dont know why. Not a good experience defiantly will not be going back this time

Some error were made by H&R block when filing my 2015 tax forms. 4 years later i got a letter from the state of California, claiming i owe more money. H&R block personnel has shown a lack of interest following up with the responses on a timely manner, i have contacted at least 5 times in 2 weeks, making clear the due dates to submit the response. Nevertheless my case was always postponed for another day. Today was my last day to respond the letter so i decided to go directly to the office, since on the website is indicating was opened until 3pm. I showed up at 11am and nobody was there. I had to escalate my situation opening a case number by phone, unfortunately ill be late with my responses just because the staff didnt work on my case. Pay somebody else to do your taxes.

I liked my tax preparer a lot, but intensely dislike being routed to a call center when trying to reach the branch, I dislike paying $40 extra for the preparation fee, because one of my sources of income was last years state return, supposedly making it a complicated, not simple, return. I dislike that a receptionist could not answer a very simple question, which was the fee schedule for tax preparation, causing me a delay in making the appointment. Who is expected to make an appointment for a service before having any idea of the cost???

Julie Williams is fantastic. This is the third year that we have used her, and we wouldnt go to anyone else now.

I had to guide the man on which deductions I qualified for. I paid to tell someone else how to do my taxes. And it wasnt cheap. He told me that I would be getting 3k back. After adding the deductions I qualified for and told him which forms to fill out my return increased by almost $8,000!!! Unacceptable.

Mr. Mirza Baig was very polite, very patient and systematic while helping me with my tax return filing. I had few changes this year from last year for which I had to call him and send him emails on quite few occasions in the last Two days. He was always calm and patiently explained the tax law and whenever I interacted with him. He has been filing my taxes for the last 3 years and a long H&R Block customer.
