Nice car, good rate, easy to get and return the car. I was a little concerned that the various dings and dents werent highlighted pre-delivery on the paperwork somehow. I worried I would be accused of damaging the vehicle so I videoed the exterior at pick-up. I hope this gives me sufficient protection. Overall, a good experience.

Our AA flight was cancelled, and we were did not arrive until 930pm only to find the AVIS office closed. We called to explain the situation, and was told that wed have to re book the reservation, and that it would be double the cost of our original booking for one less day! This is ridiculous, as the car was in the parking lot the next day. We ended up renting a vehicle that was not what we originally booked, and this was $300 more for one less day. Talk about taking advantage of the consumer!

Car was good. Billing was abysmal. Be sure to check the amount on your contract...its been 2X - 3X more than the reserved rate. Takes at least 10 minutes to correct.

Car windows dirty inside. Interior had strong smell of tobacco. Wife and I do not smoke. Nauseating drive for four hours of use. Received a call from Avis at booking that if I waited to pickup at 5 pm as confirmed, a car may actually not be available. Had to pickup car 4 hours ahead of our planned schedule.

Very unhelpful customer service with inconsistent answers and no way to contact the physical office at the airport.

The underage driver fee was nice and low compared to other companies (underage driver fees should not exist ive been driving for 5 years), the checkin and return processes were good

Car was dirty when I picked it up. Didnt quite have a full tank. Wasnt the type of car that I reserved. Very ugly color of car. Woman at counter wasnt helpful or friendly and charged me an extra day for being 10 minutes after ten am.

Every experience with Avis rentals and their associates has been excellent but the young man at the Sonoma County Airport location was exceptionally helpful, especially by offering me an upgrade that made my trip much more comfortable. I will always choose Avis

The car was comfortable and got us there and back with no troubles. The agent at check out and in is very nice, friendly, and efficient. But this is the first time in all my rentals the agent has not been able to accompany me to the car. I went the direction he told me to get it, but I found the right one using the key. And not having been shown the operation of all that stuff on the car was not good. My Wife and I figured out some of it while I was driving. If he had been able to show me the operation I would have known there is a CD player and I could have had my music on the trip instead of unreliable Pandora. But the main reason for my rating is the noise. There is something wrong with that car. It sporadically made a droning noise that I never did figure out why or or when it happens. It would start low, build high, then taper off. It would not happen for 100 miles then would happen 3 times in 10 minutes. I have owned and driven a lot of cars. I have well over a million miles from the drivers seat. I have never heard any car make that noise. It was so bad My Wife put her fingers in her ears, put her head down, and a few times she cried a little.

Too many hidden fees. Just give me the price and stop throwing in more and more and more Fees. The gas cap was missing too. I filled it up. I returned it on time. It was clean and I dont yell at your employees.They did email me and ended up crediting some of it back so I gave them a couple stars back. I just wish you didnt have to give negative reviews to get better treatment. Id much rather give 5 stars for great service.

Fantastic customer service needs to be acknowledged and I dont think I can praise them enough.My flight was VERY delayed coming into Santa Rosa(i.e., delayed so long that I came in after AVIS car rental hours). After realizing the chaos with my connecting flights, Francis(the agent at the facility) was in touch with me through my whole trip(I flew in from Canada, with many delayed connections). He was in constant communication throughout my trip, and even went as far as leaving me with directions on how to get to the car, including pictures! He made the process of completing paperwork easy and seamless and I ended up with a car upon landing(just after midnight!).Francis, thank you again! Im glad I was able to thank you in person upon leaving Napa. You definitely know how to help travelers in distress :) I have been praising your customer service to everyone around me! See you again soon.

I always use AVIS car rentals at STS when I come home for a visit. The customer service is friendly, helpful, courteous and kind. I get through Pick-Up and Drop Off quickly and without hassle. The cars are clean and I am often surprised by the wide selection of current models I am offered. I was charged a drop off fee of $60 because I had to fly out of SFO instead of Santa Rosa, CA. My flight was cancelled and the airport closed because of the Kincade fire in Sonoma County. I was not able to access Avis at that airport.

I am always pleased with the quality of service and care that I receive when using Avis, and this Santa Rosa location particularly. I use this location quite often when I travel up north for work. It is convenient and fast pick up/drop off, as well as the friendly staff, makes this my all time favorite rental car experience location. Thank you Avis Santa Rosa, you ALL ROCK!

Staff was friendly and helpfulHad a 10 day rental. Took the first car back after 4 days.....smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming...and a warning light kept coming on and going off, but did not know what it meant.Second car each time it started a message would come on Maintenance Required.

Stopped in at STS heading over to Calistoga - skipped all the hassle at Oakland, SFO etc.Avis guys are super-friendly, used them several times. Car fleet is new, low mileage, clean and fuel-efficient. Getting in and out of rentals/airport is easy. The rate they offered me was much lower the competitors on site. Its a no brainer.
