It was my turn and Arturo was very helpful. He was friendly, personable, well spoken, and knowledgeable. You could tell that he is passionate about what he does. I had a quick and easy experience. Overall I’m happy with the service that I was provided. You can definitely put your confidence in Arturo to set you on the right path.

As a person in the military with a fixed income they definitely met my needs to include the intricacies I had in regards to policy making and what was reasonable within my budget. The most knowledgeable, thoughtful and responsive staff ever. They have the best advice for claims, how to prepare for the future, and the unexpected. One of the few places I will trust with my financial and insurance needs.Lastly, I have to personally say thank you to Mr. Arturo (sp?) who took the initiative of making sure I was quoted with the policies that were most suitable for my family and I. Dont ever go here. They tried to get me with an insurance company that nobody has ever heard of before with a 2 star rating. I signed up with Nationwide and pay $100 less a month what they said was their lowest quote. I thought cost-u-less, actually meant costing you less, not an extra $1,200 a year. You will have way better luck just going to a big well known insurance company.

Ive been a long standing customer with this company for years possibly my entire driving career since I started driving in Vallejo. As of today Cost-U-Less has lost my vote of confidence due to the events that happen today. Back in October I spoke with Christina at the Santa Rosa location wanting to discontinue coverage on my old car and setup new insurance on a new vehicle. On 10/31 I was told my current insurance has the cheapest rate for the coverage I needed and I could continue with the new quoted rate... wonderful! After a payment of $284.07 I felt confident I had the lowest rate for insurance and would continue being a long term customer of Cost U Less. Today I checked Western General and my policy was cancelled as of 11/16 with two payments posted on 10/31 of $71.22 and $162.85 total of $235.07. One would assume that $284.07 included my monthly payment considering the price difference in the $284.07 charged and the $235.07 posted to my policy with Western General... but no I spoke with Christina today and it only covered the broker fee and the charge to change my policy with Western General. Where did the difference of $50 go and what were the two charges contributed to?! Western General has a pending credit back to me for $135.84 and initially would not explain to me why my policy was cancelled.Unfortunately someone on 11/17 hit my parked car and decided to run. I reported the hit and run on 11/17 to Western General over the phone and Santa Rosa PD later that evening after reviewing my dashcam that caught the person.Id recommend doing business with insurance companies that dont charge broker fees and only apply your hard earned money directly to providing insurance. Redwood Credit Union and Barber Insurance Agency are two honest companies that are just as competitive that explained broker fees and how shady agencies are that use this method of payment.TO COST U LESS I would advise you to advise your agents to tell customers when making changes that any fees collected are not being posted toward their policy. I vaguely recall the down payment was towards my first month but Christina said that was not the case. When I asked what option had to resolve my hit and run issue I over heard a slight chuckle followed with theirs nothing we can do.

GO ELSEWHERE! Tried to charge 1000 for the year. They don’t care they just want your money. Literally asked me “how much I could afford”. Ended up with Geico for less than HALF what these con artists wanted AND I got better coverage. I’d give zero stars if it was possible.

They would tell me they would call me back and never would unless I called them. I got tired of calling them so I just went with customer service and got my issue resolved.
