We had Daniel as our salesperson and he was awesome! He was very responsible of our contract, hardworking and sincere until the very end. Actually he was the only person in the dealership who didn’t change his attitude after we signed the contract. We were disappointed at how all the other employees change their attitudes and become rude and apathetic.
I just wanted to take a minute to rate my recent experience at Honda Santa Monica. As you can see I gave it 5 stars. This was a very smooth process from beginning to end. More specifically I would like to give a high praise to my salesman, Alan Mejia. Not only was he extremely genuine and a gentleman, but he was also a true professional. Once I enter the doors at Honda, my intention was just to walk-in and take a view, but the more time I spent talking to Alan about my situation, the more inclined I became. His knowledge and experience in auto sales was far superior. His approached is quite relaxed and there was no pressure from him at all. At no time did I ever thought of buying a Honda Civic 2008 lx but Alan found a way to make it work in my favor and I couldnt have asked for much more than that. Thank you Alan for all you have done and you certainly DESERVE such praise!

Purchased a 2020 CRV Touring from the showroom. Price was fair. Deal was done quick. However the car was missing a key. I was told that after the deal was signed. Should have brought that up. But the sales person promised they will get me a new key soon with in a week. That promise was fulfilled sooner. Got to service department and the manager handled it rather quick and with respect. Had my key with in 40 minutes. Over all experience was not bad. They have good deals. Just stay sharp during negotiations and do your research prior to walking in the showroom. If you make sense to them and the deal is legit you can walk away with a reasonable deal. I give them 5 stars for a great sense of humor.
These people are liars. They refused to apply equity from old lease into new lease. Lying and saying, thats now how it works. They are looking to and will rip you off and take advantage of you. These guys give car salesmen that slimey reputation. Mind you, this was for my mother. Take your hard-earned money elsewhere. I would never send anyone here. Shame on you. Cant wait for the lease to end.
I had the best experience buying my first car at Honda Santa Monica. I was only there for an hour and a half total, which was such a great surprise to not be there for hours. Everyone who worked there is so friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions and gave me a nice deal on my car. I am in love with my new car and am so happy I bought it from this dealership.

Charged me insurance fraudulently when I specifically asked for no added fees to my purchase of a vehicle. Took advantage of me and its been months trying to resolve the problem with no resolution.
I dont feel like the people i speak with are helpful. Ive been there 3 times for the same issue with my car only to leave without work and disapointed. I called ahead to see if they could install a part and they didnt even have it in stock. Appointments 101 is insuring you can do the job prior to making the appointment. They also said the part (O2 sensor) was backordered, but it took me 15 minutes to find it elsewhere so theyre stock is also limited. Im not sure what benefits tbis place has over other shops, but due to the disorganized operations, I feel much more at home with mechanics talking to customers face to face. The worst part abput learning the dealership cant help you, is that I took my morning off of work just to find out.

Stay away from this dealership, leased a brand new vehicle which has problems already that I pointed out at the time of purchase, they guaranteed me that it was only a small computer glitch when I took it to the Honda dealership in Chula Vista for repair they mentioned it may take 2-3 days to fix( brand new car!!) when I called and tried to sort it out with them, they told me oh well the deal is done you are pretty much stuck with this issue now.This will be our last Honda vehicle for sure

I came in on a Wednesday to have my tire replaced not only did it take 2 1/2 hours even with an appointment time but four days later my check engine light turned on to check my tire pressure because my other tires were already low they clearly did not even check my other tires when they replaced the tire I bought from them —horrible service, horrible customer service —stay away

I am extremely disappointed. This specific Honda gave me nothing but bad news about my car for a year and a half and bled me dry of all of my finances. I worked with Michael. Who is a nice guy but had “no words” when I told him about my negative experience. Anything wrong with my car I was told I needed to take it elsewhere to fix. Catalytic converters, didn’t have one. Go and try somewhere else. Fan for my AC, backordered for six weeks. Car locks broken, can’t help me. Glove compartment box wouldn’t open because the latch broke, couldn’t fix it or open it. Wanted to charge me $400 to put a new one in. I get it. My car is old and these things happen. The thing that really frustrated me was that whenever I took my car somewhere else they were able to fix the problem for me right away. A shell gas station was able to fix my glove compartment box for free. Didn’t charge me a thing. My complaint is that bringing your Honda to a Honda service center should automatically ensure that the people working on your car are experts at figuring out how to fix your problems, because they are experts at Honda’s! Period. They eventually fixed my AC fan, but I had to call three-four times a week to make sure they were on top of it. I asked them to put some windshield wiper fluid in my car, they forgot. Had to bring it back again for them to put it in. Yes. I can do it on my own, but if you ask for something at a Honda service center they should remember to do it.Hey. Maybe I just got unlucky. Maybe my customer service experience was just bad because they were understaffed. I could never reach Michael. I would leave three messages a day sometimes and not hear from him. Maybe the receptionist Janine forgot to tell him. Who knows. I get that these things happen. I am in no way saying that Michael is a bad guy or bad at his job. I am only writing this review in hopes that they can make some changes so that something like my experience doesn’t happen to someone else. Because it did feel like they were trying to bleed me dry financially whether they Intended to or not. I am unsatisfied with my service. It was bad for a year and a half and I think that all of my patience and trust deserved better.
After my horrible experience at Downtown Honda I contacted Honda Santa Monica. Within minutes I received a call from their sales representative Joaquin Villegas. I explained to him that I was disabled and that the car was to be driven by my daughter. We needed an SUV that would accommodate a wheelchair.Within 48 hours Joaquin drove to my house in my brand new 2020 Honda CR-V EX. This experience was one of the best Ive had in buying or leasing a new vehicle. Joaquins customer service exceeded my expectations. His calm demeanor complemented his honesty and sincerity. Explained my problem over the phone, booked 2 days in advance, had my car towed there, and then Honda said they dont provide the service I needed. Manager wouldnt pay for tow to the next shop. Id been a lessee with this dealership going on six years. Im coming up on the end of my lease on a 2017 Honda EX T. When myself and an out of state Honda dealer phoned in to request records for my current lease their finance department wouldnt pick up the phone.When I was able to get someone on the line theyd transfer me to someone else and didnt say hello or convey any professional courtesy. They rushed me saying they didnt retain my records for my current lease. Basically they didnt keep records of my current lease with them.And I found out they didnt upload the entire contract to Honda Financial. Id say more than half the lease contract wasnt uploaded.They shrugged me off and said its not their problem. So I had to do all this extra leg work sitting on hold with Honda Financial, and search through my personal storage to produce my own original copies.Luckily I was able to find the original Excess Wear and Tear addendum for the policy I purchased at the beginning of the lease or Id be out a lot of money for damages.But the morale of the story is Honda Santa Monica threw out my paperwork for my existing lease with them and didnt care about me as a client.Hold onto your paperwork folks.Ill be steering clear of doing business with them in the future, because I cant trust them.
Do not go to this Honda dealership!! They just want your money. The mechanic who worked on my car was incompetent. I needed new struts however no one from the dealership called to ask if I wanted new strut bellows since mine were falling apart. They put the worn bellows back on my car. I’m back in Denver and had my car inspected by my regular mechanic and he pointed out this issue. Now the dealership in Denver is asking $700 for new bellows when it would have been $70 if they informed me initially when they put on the struts. Terrible work!

I bought my new 2019 Honda Accord at Honda Santa Monica about a week ago! I love my new car and it was such an easy process. I couldn’t have done it with out the amazing service provided by Adriene and Viv. I told them exactly what I was looking for and they kept me in the loop in finding exactly what I wanted and making sure I was satisfied. When I came in to do the paperwork they made sure I loved the car by test driving and making sure The process went smoothly in a short period of time. No one likes being at the dealership and these two were very helpful and an excellent team. Definitely ask for these two when it comes to purchasing at Honda Santa Monica, you will not regret it. 😊

I worked with Ravel Boynton who made me feel at ease and wasnt pushy, which was exactly what I was looking for in a car buying experience. Ravel was friendly, easy to talk with, had a great attitude, answered any questions or concerns I had and made my entire experience worry free! His service was excellent and hes the kind of Sales Consultant that there should be more of! He even followed up with me after purchase to make sure everything was still going great with the car!The Finance Department was also great in helping me with the paperwork, John, who is new to Honda of Santa Monica was great! He also helped to make me feel at ease, was friendly, easy to talk to, and had a great attitude especially when it comes to helping people with the paperwork/money side of things. My experience was great. I had made a appointment prior arriving to the location. I had a vehicle I was interested in, they had it. I wasn’t pressure, they were very patient with me. For my first time ever at a dealer it went smooth.

Service department is the WORST! First of all, my daughter went in for an oil change and came out $900+ dollars worth of repairs???!!! Wow. Not to mention they put 1qt more oil on then necessary. Then, trying to call service is impossible. No one EVER answers and it goes to the department head (Shawn) voicemail which is full! Wow. I finally sent an email (4 days later) and got a call back right away from Shawn Jordan, who is the rudest most condescending person I’ve spoken to in many years. I’ve requested to speak to Danielle, the general manager, and have yet to get a call back. Absolutely horrible customer service.
I had a great experience. Over the weekend, I found a used car I liked online. I applied for credit online, too. The next day, I went in to test drive the car and take a look, Sean was great. Victor was helpful, too. The car had an online price, so the only thing to work through was the financing. Ferdinand was really helpful. FYI-Geico does not offer GAP coverage on any of their policies...this really surprised me? So I got the GAP coverage Honda offers. Great group of people, down to earth! And I love my new car!
Honda of Santa Monica always does an excellent job with taking care of car maintenance issues and detailing my car to keep it looking like new. I have been going to them for years and have always experienced courteous and helpful staff. Prices are fair and the quality of work really is excellent. They provide shuttle service so getting your car taken care of even with a busy schedule is a breeze. Special kudos to Kyle, who helped me with everything. Such a nice guy and very knowledgeable!

Bought a car in May (now August). They still haven’t submitted the correct paperwork for title and registration with DMV. Temporary plates are about to expire and guess who won’t return phone calls!? Not the only issue. They sold us a van with defects not mentioned in inspection (broken taillights and a door sensor that wouldn’t turn off). Took two months for them to respond after several emails and phone calls. This dealership is extremely unprofessional. Our issues could have been fixed very easily if they would only respond to phone calls/emails, but their employees refuse to do their jobs. Extremely disappointed. Do not buy your car from this dealership go anywhere else!

Replacement of a tire was less expensive than independent tire outlets for same item.The reception area is clean, quiet, free water and coffee, free transport, newspapers. The womens restroom is immaculate.Judging by the number of women in the waiting area, must be trustworthy.
Called them all the morning tried to make a service appointment. everytime i hear voicemail of some Sean Jordan - service director. even I called Sales and told them about the problem- they keep transfering at the same voice mail. I dont know whos Sean Jordan, but, Dude, guess what? -your mail box is full! is your service even working?i dont know what is going on, but looks like you dont care about my business. okay, there are other service shops around.

Santa Monica Honda is efficient, friendly, clean and all-around great to deal with! I had an unexpected oil change so no appointment was made - but it still only took a couple of hours to give me a complete checkup! They were lovely.
I made an appointment and went in yesterday for an oil change and service. I was told that it would take about two hours and waited for the work to be done. After two and a half hours I asked when the car would be ready and told that the service person, Kyle, had gone to lunch. It took THREE AND A HALF HOURS for the work to be completed. Kyle did not return from lunch in that time. I am looking for an alternative place to service my car.
They were very busy and perhaps even a little under staffed. However I received excellent customer service by everyone there. Kyle the Service Advisor was very friendly and accommodating. And Joel, the Technician did a great job!
My over-all feeling is that the dealership is well managed. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. The dealership has an sense of organization with people going about their job in a business-like manner to get customers in and out in an efficient way.My service advisor, Cameron, is always prompt and attentive. He is prompt to make suggestions about service options and their timing, but never too pushy or over-assertive. I have great confidence in his suggestions and recommendations.I keep a car in the city and I put less than 5,000 miles a year on it. The vehicle has only routine service needs and Honda of Santa Monica has done a very good job of diagnosing those routine service needs and providing the necessary repairs and maintenance.
I enjoyed getting my car service at Honda Santa Monica, their service is outstanding and I have been servicing my car here for almost 6 years. Their excellent customer service in general from the minute you walk in is amazing. I really enjoy the excellent customer service I receive from my service advisor Marc U. he is always happy, provides you with a detail report of what your car needs, his estimated time as when your car will be ready is on time and if you are waiting for your car he always makes sure you feel at home.
Great staff, amazing showroom! Jordan went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable with the car purchase. He went over all the payment options, got us plenty of discounts and was very patience with all the questions. He also explained every single detail on the car which helped the decision making process. We had to wait quiet a while to go over the finance part of it to pay, but everything else was great and they saw us right away when we first arrived.
Good deals but unimpressive ServiceI felt the used car I purchased from them was very reasonably priced. However, I do have issues with there service.Shortly (less than one moth) after purchasing my used 2013 Civic, the battery in the car died. I felt there 182 point dealer certified inspection should have caught this so I called them to at least partially reimburse me.Multiple voice mails left to the manager of used cars were not returned. Only after several e-mails did I get a response in which they decided against reimbursing me for the new battery I had to buy.In addition, I discovered shortly after purchase that the blue tooth feature was broken. Again, the 182 point inspection specifically indicated the feature should work.A lot of this is my own mistake for not thoroughly and independently checking out the car prior to purchase. However, if your dealerships main selling point is the quality of you dealer certified inspections, I feel the quality of your work should be better and, in cases where the certification either failed or was wrong, you should offer some financial assistance to your customers....or at least be responsive.Predictably, their salesman contacted me frequently when I inquired about purchasing a car. Then, after purchase, I could not even get a single person on the phone.I would recommend against buying a car at this dealership and, if you do so, thoroughly check the car, perhaps independently, before you purchase it.
Mario was awesome!!! I dropped my vehicle off in the morning, as soon as my vehicle was ready.. the lovely cashier Celestina called me to Inform me that my vehicle was ready. When I arrived celestina made my check out process fast and easy!!Mario is very knowledgeable easy to talk to... made my experience great.
Ron is always so helpful! While oil changes are simple, I always have my two little kids in tow and he makes everything move along smoothly, and helps in any way he can. I needed a new key battery and he offered to do it, and he did quickly!
I’ve been a regular here for a few years now, and I’ve always received good service. My most recent visit was with Mark Oliver, who was a new face for me at the Santa Monica location. His service was exceptional. The best service assistance I received on car maintenance jobs thus far. He was very informative and had a positive attitude. He was honest with me, which made me feel comfortable, but also very honest as to which items I should really be addressing versus which can wait. I know quite a bit about cars, so I often know when a service agent is tricking me into purchasing service I don’t really need, way too far in advance. He, of course, suggested that I get the service done, but kept it real when I prompted further. Very knowledgeable guy, and I hope to have him as primary service agent moving forward.

Won’t go there anymore. I bought a civic from honda santa monica. It is less than 20k miles and 2016. I expect the car to have good quality and condition so I choose dealership and a car that has low mileage. However, it turns out that the quality of the car is horrible. The lid of underpan(not sure how to name it) is broken within 6 months(shown in the picture). Moreover, the battery is also in a bad condition - I cannot start the engine because of lack of electricity. It happens twice in only two weeks.

I called them regarding leasing a Honda Civic.The deal wasn’t good enough so I started searching for better deals.A very RUDE sales man named Billy called me to follow up. And when I told him that I had a better deal he got extremely rude.I asked him to stop contacting me or texting me. He continued being rude on the text. I finally blocked him and reported him to the dealership. I would never go back to the dealership and I wouldn’t recommend these people!!Very rude and IMPOLITE!!
Easiest and best car buying experience I’ve ever had. Liked their no-haggle/fair price approach. Bought a used CR-V that was in pristine condition. Everyone thinks it’s a brand new car. It was certified and still under warranty - I feel like I got a very great deal. This is the third time I’ve bought from Honda of Santa Monica and probably won’t be the last.

Professional ideas are exceptional but possibility unnecessary repair I feel skeptical in future repair maintenance. It seem they tried everything but nothing work out for my satisfaction so I went to a independent transmission repair shop for my need. I probably wont come here in the near future except for major nation wide recall. I still do recommend for general automotive repair service but nothing especially complicated issue.

Kyle takes care of his customers by providing valuable information about our cars and letting us know when something is severe that needs to get done and even when things are good. I have bought my last 2 cars from Honda of Santa Monica. An Accord and a civic. I made an 11:00 appt for an oil change. Was told they were very busy I wouldn’t get my car back until 4:30. No problem. I waited to hear from them until 5:00 and called. I was sent to voicemail, so I left my name and #. I still had no call back 40 minutes later so I called again. The receptionist stated she thought my car was done. I asked to be called back to let me know what was up. I got a call at 6:00 saying my car was ready but couldn’t pick it up as they were closed. I had to get rude so I could pick up the car then,as my son who lives in the valley uses it. This was very inconvenient for a oil change. I’ve usually had decent experiences but this type of thing could’ve been resolved with a phone call. I would have gotten my car and returned another day. I would not of been happy but telling me I can’t pick up my car same day for a simple oil change is unacceptable.And I was avoided when trying to call and complain. Hence this long written review.

Went in 2 weeks ago and let me just say my sales guy Jerry Mark was awesome. He truly did make my experience go as smoothly as possible he treated me like family even offered us some snacks while we were waiting for our paper work to get completed. The sales person was attentive and they didnt bat on eye when we came in with our three kids, even though they got a bit rambunctious after being at the dealership a while. Also, when the car we wanted didnt work out, they helped us into another model that we are very pleased with.

Absolutely the worst car buying experience Ive had. I contacted them about a car, they told me their lowest price, and then I agreed that it was fair and I would purchase it for that. Moments after I apply for financing, the salesman comes back and tells me that theyre actually going to have to raise the base price by $6,400 higher than what we agreed on! Now Ive applied for financing and affected my credit, but theyre just telling me to pay an additional $6.4K and I can get the car. Literally the worst and most frustrating car buying experience Ive ever had. Dealership seems completely untrustworthy.
The salesperson at Honda of Santa Monica was helpful and patient. As a single woman I was nervous purchasing a car on my own. He took time to let me test drive all 3 cars I was considering and patiently told me my options so I could make the best decision for me. They even fed me pizza! I love my new ride and would recommend this dealership 😄

I got a 2-year lease from there and was very happy that they were able to find the color I wanted (Champagne). They transported it from another location within a day. I went to the service department twice after I got the car - once for a flat tire (entirely my own fault) and then an oil change. Extremely positive experience. For the oil change, I had a coupon that had expired but the guy who helped me was able to apply it to the cost. Really happy with everything so far.

Jamal Sadr is an incredible salesperson. He is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable about every Honda model. however what I liked the best about Jamal is that he is so, so, so HONEST.
The staff is attentive and courteous (Kyle was my guy). Only complaint was I came in at 8 am and didnt get out until nearly 4 pm- too long to wait in a waiting room.
I brought my car in for an oil change and found out I needed two tires and an alignment. Mario took excellent care of me, keeping me apprised of progress. Im very satisfied with the service.
Awesome staff from Nora to Billy and the Finance Department. They were very detail oriented, willing to negotiate, did not talk down other dealerships like one young & ungrateful salesperson did from Culver City Honda, delivered my car to my residence, offered additional incentives & did not force the used car mentality on me. Had an excellent experience getting an oil change/service for my Accord. Made an appointment, brought it in, went to breakfast, came back, and the car was ready a little while later. Im sure all the Service Writers are fine, but Ive been with Karl for more than a decade, and hes excellent. I highly recommend him.
