Pro-Tech repaired a boiler and installed mini splits. The work was excellent and I found dealing with the company very professional. In particular, Sam Martinez was willing to meet with the neighborhood association manger to insure the job was done to the association standards. Sam went over details of the job and provided various choices for my husband and I to look over before a final decision. Sam kept me informed on the progress of the work and Sam and his crew was prompt for all appointments. I will continue to use Pro-Tech for yearly maintenance and would highly recommend this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! Not only do I have an AC unit that cost me almost $4,000 that is still not functional after a year and a half, but the staff is rude and confrontational every time Ive called about it. Ive literally never had an experience with a business that is as bad as the experience Ive had with this company, and Im about to contact the Better Business Bureau to investigate. Just called Carrier and they agreed that the way I was treated by this company was not right, and they will investigate further, as this company is an authorized dealer with them. Pro-techs sales person represented to me that the process of having electrical installed with a new AC would be easy and although they dont do the electrical install themselves, they would have an electrician they work with a lot come out to do the electrical while they were in the process of installing the AC. They did not recommend having an electrical estimate done before the AC install, because the sales person was confident that the electrical would come in at around the range of $200-$400, which I was fine with. Fast-forward to when Ive signed the contract with them, theyve mostly installed the AC, and they have their electrician out and his estimate is over $700. I tell them that wasnt the verbal agreement that we had when I agreed to the install, and they launch into a bunch of excuses about how they dont control what the electrician charges, and it was up to me to get the estimate ahead of time. If that was the case, then why did your sales person NOT recommend that to me in the first place? Why did he confidently tell me a price range and get me to sign the contract before I found this out? I feel like they were dishonest and I got screwed, and because most of this was verbal discussions and agreements with their sales person, I dont know how much proof Im going be able to provide to anyone Im going to try to have investigate. However, at one point the sales person did at least feel bad enough to offer me a wifi thermostat (that I dont want or need) because he at least kind of admitted that he had done wrong, but other than that, theyve been nothing but hostile to me every time Ive called to try to resolve this matter. Im writing this review because Im exhausted, spending time each week for over a year contacting electricians and trying to figure out how to get this AC working, and this company does not stand behind their word or their work. Im only hoping that I can discourage anyone reading this from getting themselves into a similar situation. If nothing else, know that whatever their contract says they dont do, you need to get an estimate for BEFORE you sign their contract and they start doing the work. You CANNOT trust what they say without getting those estimates.Oh, and by the way, while they were doing the work, the workers would often leave at lunch time and say theyd be back in 30 minutes, and then not come back till the next day. Thats really frustrating when youre someone who works and needs to plan meetings and be places, and they ended up finishing the job behind schedule and actually were rude to me when I told them I wasnt available on the day they wanted to come back because THEIR workers disappeared for the rest of the days they originally said theyd be there and have the work done. Pretty much the only good thing I can say about them is that the furnace and water heater they installed have been working fine for the past year and a half (which is apparently more than can be said for a lot of companies in this town, according to friends). Santa Fe needs some better plumbing, heating, and air companies, for sure!

I’m so glad I found this company, I had two others come out unprepared with a tall enough ladder after I told them they would need a minimum of a 30 footer. Fernando and his helper Tyler showed up on time, were very professional, very friendly, and had the right ladder for the job. The problem was quickly diagnosed, they went off to the local parts house, and had us up and running in no time. I have to say everyone was professional from my first contact with office staff through the repair process, I also felt the charge for the service was more than fair. I will be using Pro-Tech for my maintenance and repair needs for the foreseeable future.

Steve Landin, the Sales Consultant, was very professional, responsive and straightforward. Extremely easy to work with and provided honest opinions about the various units we investigated. After selecting a new unit, he adjusted quotes accordingly without asking. He developed an implementation schedule, removing the old rooftop hvac with a crane and installed the new one on the same day. At the outset he promised we wouldnt be without heat for only a part of a below freezing day in January and they DELIVERED. Mr. Brandon Bustos was very prompt for our appointment. Upon arrival he introduced himself to us and wore his mask at all times as well as us. He immediately began his work on setting up his equipment to take pictures of the heating ducts to make sure they were in good shape before he began the cleaning. Two weeks ago today Matthew of Pro-Tech came to our house to give us an estimate on three jobs: Conversion of wood fireplace to gas, installation of mini-splits, and replacement of our furnace. 8 days ago, on Monday, we called and were assured that an estimate would be forthcoming. None was provided and we have we heard from them since. If you are expecting them to be timely in your estimate or in beginning and completing your job, you may be as disappointed as we are. And no, Pro-Tech we will not be using you. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice shame on us.

We have had a great experience with Pro-Tech. They installed 8 mini-splits (at two different times) and we just are in the process of adding a ninth. They work hard, clean up after themselves and are pleasant to have in the house. We had one mini-split that was having ongoing problems. They kept coming back, didnt charge us, and worked on it until it was fixed. I would hire them for anything they do!

Pro-Tech is always responsive and they come when scheduled and do great work. I have an annual contract with them to service my HVAC and they are proactive about scheduling appointments. Would not use anyone else in Santa Fe and highly recommend them.

We had not used them before and were looking for a company to do yearly check-ups and a go to for unexpected repairs. He was very knowledgable, spent a good amount of time doing the inspection, cleaning and evaluating vs in a hurry to get to the next job and having to come back to redo the quick job. Having Pro-Tech service our boiler was probably the most pleasant customer service experience I have had in my 22 years of living in New Mexico. Branden and Bradley were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and fun. They explained everything they were doing, in detail, and answered all of our questions. The tech they sent out wasnt experienced enough in what he was dealing with with our kerosene heater. Last time Matt himself was out and he was exceptional in servicing our unit.Matt came out this time we needed servicing and as usual he was very good at what he does.Our problem wasnt evident right away but he kept working at it until he found the problem.Well always go to Matt for our heater needs.

ProTech installed a mini ductless system for me about two years ago. They were timely, professional, and courteous through the whole process. The cost was very competitive (in fact, it was significantly less then the other two bids I got). SInce then, they (Brandon or Fernando) have performed 2 annual inspections on the system. They set a time to come, arrive at that time, and performed a thorough inspection of the system. I have had excellent experiences with them and would recommend them without any reservations at all.

We had a severe water leak from a drip line previously installed by others, but Pro-Tech promptly responded to the call and immediately solved the problem; went beyond and installed a device to prevent future occurances.

I live in an old home that is in need of upgrades. Recently, I had a water heater malfunction. There is not a main shut off valve in the house. The shut off valve is outside the yard located under the sidewalk. The water needed to be off due to the water leaking around the water heater. Pro-Tech came in, assessed the impact and immediately addressed the situation. Interestingly, the same size water heater size newer model did not fit in the current space. Pro-Tech made an effort to find a special size replacement at a reasonable cost. Pro-Tech also provided construction work to make it fit into the allotted space. This company is totally professional from beginning phone call to follow-up visits after installation. Steve Landin was my contact and made an accurate recommendation as to the product for my home. I was suffering from two months of extraordinary heat this summer, and my Carrier Ductless system provided relief with cooling comfort. After the initial installation we found a leak in the condensation pipe--a hairline split in the PVC. Pro-Tech provided immediate follow-up and, although it was a stubborn problem which required a total of three visits, it was corrected. Two months later I tested the heating mode on a chilly evening. It works beautifully.

Do you really trust that 100% of the reviews are perfect? We had central ac installed a few years ago by this company. They never came to do regular maintenance on our ac in spite of calls I made for service and paying a very high premium to install. I finally got them on the phone in an emergency. The soonest they could schedule me was 7 weeks away. I finally was able to get the administrative person to admit that they arent able to keep enough HVAC technicians on staff to support even regular maintenance much less any emergency service. I would suggest that you find another service provider who can support both maintenance and emergency services.

Woke up to a very cold house. Called Pro-Tech and they had sent a technician by 2:00. Fernando got my furnace working quickly . He explained the problem and his repairs. Excellent service

My central air conditioning unit broke down and I called three different companies to come out to repair it. The technician from the first company, TLC, showed up with no testing equipment or tools. He inspected the wiring and told me that the wires were burned. He said it would be a huge job to replace the wiring and that I should just replace the entire central air unit. He told me he would send me a quote and left. The next day a technician from the second company, Road Runner, also showed up with no tools or testing equipment. He told me that to replace the wiring, parts would be necessary that are no longer available. He also told me that I would need to replace the entire central air unit and left to prepare a quote. Two days later I received a quote for $6,904. Then a technician from ProTech, Tommy, came over to inspect the unit. Tommy DID bring testing equipment and tools with him. He thoroughly checked everything and told me he was going out to his truck to get some wire. I was very surprised, he was actually going to try to fix it although the other technicians who came over told me I needed to replace it. It wasnt long before I heard the air conditioner turn on and it started blowing cold air. Tommy was the only technician who was honest enough and capable enough to repair the problem rather than try to sell me a very expensive new system. The charge was $153.88. Tommy had saved me over $6,700. I was blown away! Thank you ProTech and thank you Tommy. 5 stars for you!

Early March 2019 - I had my residential heater give out (radiant heat) and it started to get uncomfortably cold to a degree that I had to go into my car a few times to warm up a bit. I fretted quite a bit about the prospects of having go get a new heater particularly the cost and also the time it would take to get one and more importantly get it installed. A friend of mine suggested that I call Pro-Tech here in Santa Fe, that he had used their services for a number of years and to his greatest satisfaction. So I followed his advise, reaching out to Pro-Tech through their online portal (for it was weekend) and followed up first thing Monday morning at 7:30 am. I was greeted by a friendly lady, who said that their crews were already fully booked that day but that I could get one crew to come to my home as an afterhour job once they had finished their appointments. The fee was to be $150 for afterhours. However I was very much surprised when I got a call around 3pm in the afternoon by Brandon Bustos, one of the field technicians. He said that hed be over in about 15 minutes and thus was able to inspect my furnace as a regular job alleviating the need for afterhours. The problem was quickly localized, a fairly minor detail and the fee charged came out to be only $ 78.79 plus the usual $ 98.00 for the housecall. I now have my comfort restored and I am very happy. I liked so much the professionalism and good work by Brandon Bustos that I asked him to replace all thermostats which were about 15+ years old with up-to-date digital ones, which he did. When replacing these he found that the wiring from the control panel was a bit compromised and suggested that I should replace that too which I readily agreed. There was of course some more costs for the hardware and these additional services which I felt was well spent and gives the peace of mind. Pro-Tech guarantee their services and parts for 3 months, which is more than adequate. Brandon Bustos suggested that I should have them come out once a year for an inspection and routine maintenance, the fee of which is around $ 110.00 and I shall heed his advise. It is better to be safe than to be sorry. This was an overall very positive experience. Thank you Brandon, you are a good man !

Ive been using Pro Tech for a long time now, they are great Carrier technicians, always on time and are thorough about checking everything I love that they will come on a Sunday evening when its bitterly cold and the heat goes out; no one could ask for more, and I dont mind paying an emergency call fee which is modest under those circumstances.

They were also quick to get their estimate to me, same evening, the other companies took from 7-10 days!!
