The customer service provided from the office is subpar. They should realize that many (not all) customers in need of a tow have experienced some type of unfortunate incident (accident, disabled vehicle, etc). Therefore they should have an attitude of assistance & understanding, not a you need us attitude. Tow companies are a dime a dozen; I recommend Halo Towing in Longwood or Get Lifted Tow Service in Apopka. My situation involved the local PD so I didnt have much choice. However going forward, Athens will not be the company I call if I ever need this type of service again.Athens, you are in the service industry - dealing with the public, please do better.

Just arrived on vacation from Michigan and my car broke down, call two other larger tow companies first and they were unable to send anyone. Athens was able to send a truck out right away, the driver was professional and helped my wife and kids while I took an Uber to get a rental car, they recommend a local repair shop (that ended up being phenomenal).

Glen Morales the drive was so professional and courtesy he even brought my garbage up from the driveway. His customer service was amazing. My insurance company said the ETA would be 60 to 70 minutes. The next thing I know 15 minutes later Mr Morales is calling me and say Im in front of your house that was the fastest service I ever had for roadside assistance. Why can’t I give 0 stars!?So I called to have my car towed and the tow truck driver couldn’t “find my car”. When I told him to just cancel it, he proceeded to call me a b!tch and hang up. Then he found my car and towed it anyways! When I called Athens, the not so lovely lady on the phone said she “didn’t want to go back and forth with me” that I was “unable to cancel my own tow” but also she didn’t want to cancel it. Ridiculous. Very rude. Very unprofessional. $120 down the drain and a horrible experience. Never again will I use Athens. Be better Athens. SmhUpdate: So I got home and found my car parked in the driveway... LOCKED with the keys on the floorboard. Called the Athens tow truck driver so he could come unlock it and the door and he said that he left the doors unlocked and that there is nothing he can do about it... just wow.

They are super friendly and are always professional when calling. Someone is there 24/7 to answer the phone. They also provide real time tracking of their location providing you with a precise ETA.It is unbelievable how many of these reviews are people upset for them doing their jobs efficiently! I see a lot of reviews complaining about cash and I just want to let you know every towing service I have ever interacted with is cash only. It is just the nature of the business. I am very pleased with their service. They let me know when they were on the way and when they were going to be arriving, and had a second truck sent out in less than 15 minutes when they realized the first one wasnt going to be sufficient. Both drivers were very kind and friendly. They were careful with my vehicle and made sure it got to its destination safely.

I had a previous tow from another company, waited 4 hours for them to never show. Call this place, within 30 minutes I was helped and on my way to Greenway Ford with my vehicle.

I was in my old neighborhood with my mother, sister and 4 kids (all under 5). We were on our way to the pool when all of a sudden our van died.In. The. Middle. Of. The. Street.I put in a claim with my insurance and they sent Athens towing out to get my car. My insurance sent 2 towing companies out before Athens that said they could not tow my truck due to its size (12in lift and 35in tires) and the steering rack being damaged. (wheels locked in right position) The first driver from Athens was not up to the challenge but after 2 companies and 3 drivers turning down the job Edison made light work of it. I highly recommend Athens and Edison if you need to get a job done!

My car broke down tonight in Lake Mary. I requested road side towing by my insurance company and was told Athens would be there in 45min. Well, they showed up in 20 minutes. The tow truck driver Tom was a gentleman. He hooked my car and opened the trucks passenger door for me. I was parked in a handicap space and he made sure I got in the truck safely. He drove us to Deltona to my mechanics shop. Once again, he was a gentleman. He insisted on my ride to arrive before he left me in the dark to wait. He was there to help me to safely get out of the truck. Tom was just such a nice person.

They were super helpful and kind. My boyfriends car stopped working for no reason on a backroad at 2 in the morning on our way back from the beach and we tried calling every tow company near us. Many didn’t answer and we had one company tell us that they don’t go on the road that we were stuck on and when we relayed this to Athens Towing company they were super helpful and understanding and got us to our destination in a safe and efficient manor. My 7 year old son and I were completely out of luck when our car died 40 minutes away from home. With only 10% phone battery I managed to get a call into Athen’s Towing. Ill never forgot my experience with Athens! Car was towed. When I went to the office, the owners wife gave me a price. I went to the bank and got the money. Went back, and the owner gave me a different price. I cursed him out and left. I guess he didnt like that very much and tried to stop me from leaving by standing behind my car. He then proceeded to try and punch me through my car window! And then called the police on ME! Lied to them and said I assaulted HIM by showing the police the mark he got on his arm when he tried to punch me! LOL. I wish I could give less than 1 star.

Started out kind on the phone. Ended up being extremely difficult and rude to deal with. The driver was personable and kind. Office staff was very rude. We broke down on vacation an hour away from where we were staying. They required me to drive all the way back (2 hours the second time) in the middle of my vacation to sign a release to my insurance company. This is the 21st century, scanning, faxing and emailing is acceptable in court but not at Athens Towing. Then, after they spoke with the insurance, our vehicle was towed to our insurance companys lot. We were gone for a week and upon returning home we had a bill and certified letter waiting on us about the sell of our vehicle! The vehicle was only there a week and our company paid when they picked up the truck. When I called to inquire about the letter, concerned and confused, they told me they did not have time to assist me...records have already been filed. REALLY, it has only been a week!!! Poor customer service!!!!

There is “ZERO” rating for this place!!! Office staff, young girl likes to call people “honey” rude beyond words!... and the granny that runs the place was even more rude, cackling filthy words at me because I was documenting damage of my property... apparently, I found out, this behavior from these folks is typical.Had a parking permit on my window in my subdivision and they never looked to see it as clear as day and still towed my car! Then they tell me, anybody can have a fake permit. Next they say $175 cash to get my car back, denied that there was a contract with my HOA..parking with permit, as posted in the window of my vehicle... that was never checked or verified.. go figure, no admittance, no denial. The sad thing is these people are use to people at them taking away their vehicle all the time, mentally I’m sure it just makes them even more hateful and disrespectful to most. Still, never accepted! Understand the mistake you made and causing distress to folks when “YOU” were clearly in the wrong!What a huge shame on them!

Complete scam of a company! I am an nurse working on the front lines. My mother who has been laid off during the pandemic was caring for my son I was home she moved her car out of the driveway and into the street so I could park in the drive way it was on the side of the road not obstructing a sidewalk or any of my neighbors driveways for at most 20 mins. Upon walking out to leave her car was gone. Our posted towing photo at the front gates of my community states no street parking from 12am to 6am. I get off of work at 730pm and have a 30 ish min drive home, so I was unsure of the rule violated. Upon calling to see if they towed the car they said the car was opposite of traffic flow and that calls for immediate towing. This rule is posted no where in my community. I asked for prove the car was parked incorrectly, the receptionist said we have 15 drivers how can I possibly know. Athens tows your car frist without any prove of a violation. I asked to speak to a manager and was told your hoa makes the rules you can take it up with them but I have worked here for 15 years and no HOA has ever paid the fee.I was told the car hasnt even be delivered and that they needed atleast a hour to process paper work then I could come pick up the car.Upon getting to the business I was greeted with blue suv right There was no prove that we showed to get the car back. They only take cash but the man told me he had no change to provide to me it had to be exact cash of course once I arrive. The sign posted says $125 plus $3 for each mile I live 6 miles away but was charged $155 given no receipt or prove of payment. Cash only, no receipt, no cash register, no change, how have they been getting away with this for this long?Just plan sketchy, I have already reached out to the news to report this sham of a company. Also their website says 10% discount for first responders I expressed my frustration and let the receptionist know I am on the front lines. I was still in my scrubs when I brought my mom to get her car. I was never offered any discount but I was clearly was overchargedThanks for your additional stress placed on the community during an already stressful time!

Especially, after the non-service that I received from Oviedo Wrecker and Towing when the rude dispatcher got upset with me when I tried to get an ETA after already waiting for 1 hour and he told me that they were not coming at all and hung up on me. My car broke down Friday and after calling Carmax for my warranty they gave me the number to Athens Towing, after they got there my car turned on so I told them I didnt need them anymore. They were very understanding, the next day my car actually breaks down again and I called them to see if they could pick it up from my house and take it all the way to Orlando from Winter Springs and they did! No questions asked, the manager even approved my tow even if it exceeded what my warranty covered. I am so grateful for coming across such good people, I truly appreciate everything they did for me. I will recommend Athens Towing to anyone that needs it.

I run a land clearing business and my machine became stuck in mud that was hidden below the surface. The machine weighs 14,000 pounds, plus suction from the mud adds more resistance. Compared to other recovery companies I have used in similar situations, Athens Towing was exceptional. The price for the work was far better than other companies I used before and the customer service between the lady I talked to on the phone to Nick who showed up in the truck was exceptional. Highly recommended and they will be my go to recovery company for future issues that I get my machine into.!

They Tow your vehicle out of our Grande Oaks subdivision even though we live there as a homeowner.I was having work done in my garage and parked Diagonal in front of my rear garage for one evening blocking no one..Then when you go pick up your vehicle and they say we do not take any credit cards only CASH .Who ever heard of not taking any form of payment but cash in todays society.
