Mr. Boyd and Jared always take great care of me! They are HONEST, professional, and most importantly they get repairs done FAST! I’ve so far gotten an alternator, then I’ve had to come back for a starter and oil changes. It’s typically been same day turnaround and if not it’s been like 24 hrs. I definitely recommend them!

Boyds auto has a great owner that is trust worthy and exceptionally priced. Hes accurate with his quotes and havent ever had to pay more than what was expected. Could use a little more touch ups in the waiting area but if I had the option Id prefer to have someone I trust working on my vehicle over a pretty waiting area.

A two star was not given for the battery cover alone, but due to a disconnect in communication between you, my folks, and I but thats not important. Traveling from S.C. to the Moncure N.C. area for husbands job, our 2500 Chevy Silverado broke down unexpectedly. We were devastated and frustrated. Being a stranger to the area we were nervous about finding a good quality shop that would also be honest and fair with the repairs. So I googled -best auto repair shop near me. BOYDS AUTOMOTIVE was the result. Called them up, they helped me get truck towed to their shop and quickly had a diagnosis of repairs needed. They understood that we needed to get repairs done ASAP and got right on the job. We were very pleased with the service we recieved and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good quality repair shop.

This was my first time using Boyd’s Automotive and I can’t say enough wonderful things about this garage! They were thorough, quick, reasonably priced and even followed up on the repairs to make sure the car was working well and that I was satisfied with their work...which it was and I very much was. Highly recommend! A+

Had someone in the area tow my boat and he recommended that Boyds auto fix one of the hubs before towing it to my house an hour away. After waiting 3 weeks for a quote on the work, I reached out to owner. He said it would be 4 hours of work on the hub, 2 of which would be to pack the hubs with grease. So including parts and work, close to $600. My trailer is equipped with vortex hubs, they do not get packed, simply filled by a grease fitting built into the spindle. He also stated that one of my bolts was seized,, but it came off with an adjustable wrench. I purchased the replacement hub for $86 and had it installed in 20 minutes. Horrible service, would never recommend to a friend. Sorry I couldnt give 0 stars for lack of integrity.

Ive been coming to Boyds for the past two years after moving to Sanford. I can always trust Ill get the right repairs at a fair price. The staff is always polite and friendly and willing to take the time to discuss repairs. Highly recommend!

Incredible. Boyds was willing to fix our Dodge Sprinter which several other companies wouldnt even touch, and those that were willing couldnt figure out how to fix it. Our AC was out and Boyds resolved the problem and found a solution despite the needed part being on nation wide back order and unavailable. Fair price for the work. They do what they say they are going to do...If anything its a little more and never a little less.They dont overcharge for little things like bulbs in tail lights or oil changes. Your vehicle may leave with an additional problem other than one you left it there for. Excuses dont get it fixed so just keep rolling while you can. Find a better and more experienced mechanic while your car is still running and able to carry you there or you just might end up like I did, replacing a perfectly sound transmission because of an incompetent and inexperienced mechanic where the owner only makes excuses and dont rectify the situation... So please heed my warning and find a more responsible mechanic to do what is needed for your car.

They did awesome work on my vehicle. It took a couple of days longer than expected but they were thorough and reasonably priced.

I took my daughters 2011 Audi in to be looked at for a second opinion. I was told from another place ( let’s call it a stealership ) that it would cost well over a thousand to 2 thousand to fix car.So, I spoke with MR. Boyd about the situation and wanted an opinion on what was damaged and amount it would cost to be repaired. Just so everyone knows a diagnostic is not free and I understood that. Long story short, everything from conversations to finished product was honest, professional and preformed in a timely manner. Now granted I wasn’t in a rush for car to be repaired but it was still repaired within a 2-3 business days.Cost was VERY REASONABLE AND FAIR. I would rather pay someone local to community that does professional work than going into Raliegh and paying some big corporation. In need of a mechanic in Sanford, NC and surrounding areas I recommend Boyd Automotive.

The finest mechanic I found in the area. We came to him with a busted engine due to antifreeze running out and water getting into the cylinders. He found a replacement engine for a reasonable price, fixed the many problems which the car inherited after 200,000+ miles of driving and gave me assurance beyond the 90 days that the engine will last. The engine is purring as good as new. His staff is courteous and his personal knowledge and skills to get the job done PROPERLY are incomparable to any other mechanic I gave my many cars for repair, in the last 30 years. I only wish I met him sooner. The best thing was this. At Boyds, ant hills do not become mountains.

Brought my car in for an engine check and Mr. Boyd took the time to call me to explain everything and assured me if anything else comes up, he will check it out again for free. My car was in and out in less than an hour and even got a receipt stating all that was done and when to come back in. Not only was the visit fast and professional, it was very well priced compared to others I had called. My next stop will be to Boyds for sure! Thank you

Horrible service, I paid over $1200 to have my SUV fixed and not only was it not fixed correctly but they didnt fix everything they were supposed to. They also changed my oil without asking me and charged me for it with out my permission. When I went back to express my issues with them and the service done to my vehicle I got told it wasnt their problem. I would not recommend anyone taking their vehicle to them.

I should have listened to the other low starred reviews. I took my car in on 07/03 to get my car checked as the a/c would squeal when turning it on. They claimed that the a/c belt was bad and i waited for about 2 hours or so to get it “fixed”. When they were done, they claimed it ran quiet and informed me on additional work that needed to be done. When leaving, my car would make a horrible squealing noise when pressing the gas ever so slightly, which wasn’t happening before. They made a minor issue 100% worse. And to top it off, they had charged me $200 for the service- which is worth about $80 when asking around other mechanics. I will not go back ever again.

A couple of yrs ago took my 2000 Toyota Tacoma truck in to have the check engine light problem fixed and purchase new tires. Thats when the nightmare started. After market cat put on... lasted 900 miles before light came back on..took it back in had it reset. Tires came in ..got it home and all tires started leaking...old/used valve stems put on new tires. Took it back in. New valves were replaced and free lube & oil change offered and accepted as apology. Got truck home and next morning noticed oil all over garage floor. Looked under truck and discovered drain plug not tightened. Tightened it & took it back in and noticed noise coming from under the truck. Told it was upper and lower tension pulleys needed replaced. Like a Dumb-A## had it done... more $$$$. Noise continued & once again took the truck back. It was discovered a drive shaft fitting was not greased during lube/oil change. No remittance offered. Bottom line.....Boyds Automotive was paid well....Truck and mt wallet was screwed!!!I would not let Boyds Automotive fix my Grand-kids Wagon!!!DO NOT DO BUSINESS THERE!!!!

I can trust Boyd’s Automotive to provide not only great repair service but also preventative maintenance which will ultimately save me money and valuable time in the near future. I also think the service is professional and prices fair.

I went there to get a catalytic converter it had a warranty on it. It went less than a yr I took it back Mr Boyd wouldnt honor it he told me it wasnt the catalytic converter. I took it to honda shop and 2 other mechanics their test showed it was. I even after going back and forth with him was told to leave his business after I showed him the bad part. He would not refund any money to me and he didnt honor his word. Boyd Ellis is a liar and watch him he will diagnose things wrong with your car that isnt true. He also told me I needed a suspension system on my 05 honda element and Honda place determined that was a lie as well. I wouldnt recommend you take your bicycle there.

Anytime ive ever needed any mechanical work done, which is usually when im in a bind, Mr.Boyd is always most accomodating as possible. He gets the job done right and always in a timely manner. On top of the outstanding service, they are always very kind & welcoming...which is very hard to find. When i tell others about mr.boyd, i refer to him as my mechanic because i would never take my vehicles anywhere else but here!! If you live in Lee County, this is where you go to have any automotive work done!!
