My muffler needed to be replaced. Stopped in because it is close to work on Thursday. Made an appointment for Sunday morning. The manager that day (8/1), knew why I was there. Inspected and said part needed would be in by 3:30. He suggested I come back at 3, and I could also get an oil change, which was needed. That way the car would be on the lift when part came in. I agreed. Smooth appointment, but part delivery truck was late. Told him I needed to be done no later than 4:30. He provided me reassurance. He was done by 4:15..He also provided the oil change for free. He did not have to, and I did not ask for any type of discount. Highly recommended VIP SANFORD MAINE!!!

I was on my way to work when I got a piece of metal in my front tire. My car had to be towed to the nearest VIP as the vehicle I own has no spare tire. I arrived at VIP via flatbed just when they were opening, I was greeted in the driveway by Chris. I asked if the tire could be fixed asap as I had to get to work. He was so nice and got my car right in for service. And not only did the front tire have metal but the back tire had a nail but have no fear VIPs crew got my tires patched and I was on my way. I would definitely go back to that VIP Chris and his crew were so nice and efficient so glad I ended up being towed there!

Ed from Philly, This shop on a holiday weekend (July 4th 2021) got me in and out with great service. Crystal (Front Desk) and Justin (Lead) took great care of me for an alignment and brakes. I drove that car back to Philly and it never ran so well. Great service! would highly recommend!side note- I was waiting for the you need rotors also when I knew I didnt need but no one tried to push that. They did what needed to get done and didnt try and sell me on more.

I needed to take my car somewhere for my broken exhaust. I looked at garages in my area and knew that I needed to go somewhere where I could really trust the service. After reading reviews for many garages, I read the reviews for VIP in Sanford and decided to take a leap of faith after reading the reviews for them. I am so glad that I did! VIP is definitely the place to go for tires. I looked everywhere for a specific brand I wanted for my vehicle. Other places I checked tried to sell me something other than what I wanted. VIP listened to me and special ordered exactly what I wanted at the best price. When the tires came in they had me come in immediately at my request and the tires were put on while I waited. Very easy and excellent customer service.

Called ahead and got an appointment. They were running behind but they informed of the delay right when I checked in. Once they got my truck on the rack it was inspected and oil changed quickly. its nice to be informed about delays. Most places dont and leads to frustration later. I went for an inspection and was told my tires and control arm bushing were to worn down to pass. I was also told the entire control arm needed to be replaced along with the bushing because a new bushing would mess with the old control arm and that was going to cost more then the all the tires and tire installation combined. I decided to shop around for tires and got a decent deal from someone I know, and had him check out the control arm bushing and everything that VIP told me needed replacing. My guy told me they were in good shape and didn’t need to be replaced. I took my car to a different place to be inspected. It passed with the new tires and I asked this guy if anything looked worn down with the suspension or control arms and he also said they were in fine condition. Moral of the story, VIP will replace perfectly good parts on your car just to make more money if you fail any part of your inspection DONT GO HERE.

I brought my sister in laws car in to get tires. Dallas was the person that helped us out and he was very helpful and nice to us even though we didn’t know much about her car so we couldn’t answer some of his questions. Also he made jokes with us that made the experience a lot better. He is a really nice guy and very knowledgeable. Worst Experience EverNot kidding, I would avoid this shop at all costs.Went there for a simple slow leak locate and fix because they were convenient and more rapid than the shops I usually use in Sanford.VIP initially diagnosed a leaky TPMS and they pointed out they had damaged the bolts on the wheel (this is the only honest thing they did). They had put the tire up to 41 psi from the 36 I brought it in at which was good. With the bolt damage, I should have run then but instead went ahead and paid to have a TPMS overnighted -VIP didnt carry the sensor so went through someone else.Upon getting home, I looked more closely at the wheel and discovered that not only had they damaged the lug nuts they had also cross threaded and damaged the valve stem housing cap (Teraflex Deluxe Nomads/i.e., special housing that sits around and protects the valve stem.tpms sensor). Little did I know there was more to come.Having extra housings on hand as well as valve stem cover caps, I thought I had a solution. Upon receiving the TPMS we took the vehicle back into VIP again as agreed. I brought the Customer Service Rep (CSR) out and showed her the lack of damage on all the other wheels and explained the additional damage I had discovered as well as the solution I had to fix it (take out damaged parts and replace with brand new parts I had on hand). I also explained this to a different tech than had worked on the vehicle before. With that, my wife and I left for about 45 minutes.Upon returning to VIP we were advised by the CSR that her manager had been in, looked at the car and told them to tell us they dont work on aftermarket parts and not to service our vehicle. Being absolutely amazed by this, we asked the CSR what to do. All that we got was a card tossed at us across a desk.I took the wheel to another shop who looked at it and advised me that not only had VIP cross threaded the valve cover cap, they had done it with so much torque that it had damaged the wheel itself and there was no way to re-tap the wheel and use new housing. Aftering ordering a new wheel, re-powdercoating the parts VIP damaged and paying labor to install the replacement wheel I ended up being over $750 out of pocket.The manager at VIP, when contacted, only offered to pay for powdercoat on the lug nuts and valve stem cover cap ($105). He then proceeded to lie and contradict himself all over the place when presented with statements from the shop that made repairs and photos showing no damage prior to visiting VIP (this is a 2021 vehicle with less than 700 miles at the time of visit) and my request to be fully reimbursed for damage caused by VIP.I could write pages of where the VIP manager has outright lied, changed and contradicted his story to avoid paying for the damage his shop caused but Im not here to write a novel. Im simply here in the hopes that this dissuades people from going here.Bottom line: if you care for your car avoid VIP. It will cost you money if you dont. Besides, they dont work on aftermarket parts so logically, buy OEM and go to a dealership or different shop.p.s. as a Response to the Response From Owner. In all fairness, the onus is on you to contact us not the other way around (customer service/complaint handling doesnt work that way when the customer has spent days reaching out to the store manager and his manager as well). You have both mine and my wifes contact info should you wish to resolve this. . . . Ill also add that originally we never asked for $750 but for $461 as I already had parts on hand and we ordered a lower model wheel that I could use those parts to upgrade it and, as a token of good faith, I was going to eat the labor costs.

VIP in Sanford does a great job. When I moved from Texas to Maine, I needed to do some repairs on my car to be able to pass inspection. VIP helped me step by step to bring my car up to meet state regulations. I will continue to start with them for all of my car maintenance/repair needs. Thank you, VIP Sanford!

Vip is prompt quick very friendly always trying to make sure the customer is happy with the service. Also they explain everything that is going on with your vehicle and what they can do to help I was a couple dollars short and someone made sure no matter what I would get my car.. Got a flat tire and they didnt have the replacement tire we needed at the store. They called another shop and had their guy drive an hour away to pick it up so that we could get our tire fixed same day. The customer service at check in was great. However, the number of times the employee walked out of the shop and to the front desk while he was supposed to be working on vehicles was ridiculous. I could hear him tell the gentleman at the desk over and over, its too busy, I dont have time for this, when really all this guy needed to do was work instead of complaining. With all the complaining it took an hour or more to get my tires changed, and I didnt start the timing until my SUV was in the air!!!I would like to update my review. The store manager reached out immediately and made things right. She was extremely helpful and ensured me these concerns would be addressed. I returned for another service today and was extremely pleased how it went. I am changing the number of stars from 2 to 5!!! I left my previous comments only to show that they have definitely stepped up!!! Definitely give them the chance, they have great prices, and are quick to get you in.

I have had my oil changed at VIP in Sanford for many years. They have always had excellent Customer Service. This is is why I return.

I purchased 4 snow tires last year, and 2 new regular tires when I had the snows removed. Service was friendly. They matched tread, but not brand of my 2 replacement tires. I would recommend them.

I’ve come here a few times already and I’ve never had a problem with getting in on time, fast effective services, and friendly customer service.

Had an appointment Sunday 12/20 9am to check a brake alarm on my Jetta...I was hopeful it was brake fluid. After a thorough exam of my vehicle it was discovered that I had a slow leak in my left rear caliper...Ugh...I was offered a quote to repair and was graciously not charged for the service of removing my engine cover and inspection. Very nice people...My daughter has even pulled up to their stalls and had air in her tires checked and air provided...

At the Sanford location I talked to representative named Dallas trip he was very helpful he gave me a quote and said he can have the tire the exact tire that I needed the very next day he said he could order that for me and that if I did all that I could get a free oil change and so the service is really good he was very friendly and very helpful and I will definitely Ill go back and as a matter of fact I recommend you guys to my roommate so very good service thank you

Dont go here if you value your safety and dont want to catch covid. The employees clearly think precautions such as wearing face masks properly or at all are a joke.Also, blatantly rude, literally for no discernable reason. We didnt say anything about the lack of precautions either. If we were gonna be treated so poorly, guess we should have.

Weve been coming to this location since we moved to Acton Maine and I highly recommend it. They are always kind and gets a what needs to be done in a timely manner with is greatly appreciated expecially when I have my small child with me.

I have been here before and have always had quick service. Found an issue with my air filter and was replaced right away. Also got a free state inspection with my service. Like the option of a free oil change as well.

Awesome group of people they got working here. Never had an issue and always in a reasonable time. Its a garage not a fast food restaurant. Ellen and her staff in the service department always give me and my girlfriend great service. Always reasonable wait times. They let me know what is going on with my car in a way that isnt pushy and the whole staff is very nice. Was in Wells ME for a week end getaway with my wife and some friends and on Saturday night curbed my right front tire wrecking the sidewall. I went into the Sanford, Maine, store to get information on snow tires v. all season for my CRV and to get estimates during a buy-three-get-one sale. The staff was very helpful, first in a phone call and later during my visit. When I went at the appointed time to get my tires, there was a power outage, which meant I had to reschedule, but again, all three counter people were very helpful, even getting out a flashlight to show me some finer points of various treads. When I finally connected for the tires, they did the mounting and installation and alignment in half the estimated time. This is the third vehicle I have had the alignment-for-the-life-of-the-car service. It is the best thing for the care of my car driving the back roads of Maine, pot-hole capital of the world.

Visited to get air conditioner charge done and they gave me a FREE state inspection (which was a surprise) they also took some old oil I had in a box and recycles it for me. Check in was very professional, and on time for appointment, and price was as quoted, and air mechanic was very helpful, I will return in about a week to have oil changed. Much happier with VIP than previous previous company. Thank you.

I have been going to this particular VIP service center for several years now due to the great service and staff. Robert takes great care and gives me honest, straight forward advise on what my vehicle may or may not need. I have been to other centers closer to my home but chose to drive farther to see this location because I know I will get taken care of like a friend and not just a customer.

Second time using there services and I must say the team there is very equipped and knowledgeable, customer service at the desk need a little work but beside that vip tired services at main St Sanford is a very good place to get your vehicle service.
